“How hard is it to make decent food and decent drinks in your own niche market? Well these guys make it look effortless. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The owner knows what being in the service industry means and treats everyone with respect. We’ve been here a few times. They have a small menu of their signature dishes and they do not miss. We’ve tried their burgers, chicken sandwich, tacos and most of their appetizers and they are above great! Drinks are well crafted. The inside looks small but they do have additional seating in the back and outside. Staff is attentive to all areas. Restaurant owners in this town should come and observe how it’s done. “The first visit was during a late lunch hour, which was not busy at all. The vibe was lovely. Lovely decor with basic table setup. Bar area is lovely. Service was friendly and welcoming but slow even though business was slow. Timing with sitting, ordering, and receiving food was about 1 hour and change for 2 people. Nearby parking garage available if you can't find street parking. Area is shaky, so do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Not even drinks in your cup holders. Indoor and outdoor seating. “Traveling from DC on work trips. Soooo glad my husband and I found this place! BEST place for food/wine/desert...we literally eat there all WEEK while in town. (Dining there since NOV 23 ) many weeks at a time ! EXTREME Thanks to MATT who always take extra special care of us ..always greeting us and making sure we are ok ! I wonder if he is the manager????? They’re very welcoming hereThe steak pairs very well with their cocktails as well as the scallops being delicious. Great suggestion on the wine.Only complaint I have is that both me, and my friends steak were undercooked, and overcooked respectively. I ordered medium rare and got closer to rare, and my friend ordered medium and got no pink in the middle.I’d def give this another chance, and there’s nothing else to criticize. Enjoyed my visit“
“The AVE owner was so kind. My partner had a family member taken to the local hospital, and I was left with our dog, and two friends because of hospital policy. So I took the dog and friends downtown. We were looking for a place to sit down, snack, and wait till my partner was ready to leave the hospital.The owner let us bring our dog inside, and gave us a nice table and couch to sit on. We let our German Shorthair Pointer sleep on the couch, and the owner was so kind.We are so thankful for the hospitality and kindness that were shown. We were dressed for a hike, not a club, and the owner made us feel welcome.Thank You AVE Owner and Staff.“

“Had the BLT and salad, and it was delicious. The sesame dressing on the salad was perfect, not heavy and not too light. The bacon was cooked just right! Fresh ingredients on fresh bread. Their menu prices aren't bad too!They have darts, pool tables, jukebox and lotto tickets. Pretty nice place and owners are very welcoming.I highly recommended this place.“
