“Same location where it was called Pizza Antica before. The location in Google maps is incorrect and actual location is across the side street from the parking lot.Good food, very good and friendly service. Try the mushroom pizza, salmon, or chicken dish. They also have $7 sangria specials starting on Thursdays every week. The ambience is friendly and the decor is minimalist. The portions are big. You can see the impact of inflation in the prices. If you pay using the QR code (sends you to Toast) it includes tax for calculating tip percentages, which is not great. Hopefully they fix it.Vegetarian options: They will customizeKid-friendliness: Small selection of usual kids items“
“The seafood pasta was excellent. The sauce was quite tasty. The seafood was fresh including shrimp, mussels, and clams.Fat Maddie’s is located in the indoor/outdoor mall next to the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, CA. The restaurant is large, has an attractive bar, and a very pleasant outdoor patio with views of the pond, waterfalls, and geese. The patio is an excellent option for the warm days. The mall is attractive, but when I was there, Friday noon, there were only a few people in the mall; but Fat Maddie’s had about 10 tables with customers. The waiter was pleasant. There is plenty of free parking.“
“Very nice and attentive wait staff. Menu was on a tablet (so high tech)! My breakfast burrito had no problem subbing chorizo for Italian sausage and it was excellent. Hashbrowns nice a crispy! Would definitely come back and try other items.“
“Love the decor and feel of the place. Solid, well priced menu and wine/cocktail list. Friendly servers and staff. My only complaint is that the main entree - short rib - while excellent and flavorful was too small and a bit under salted for my taste. Same with the starter meatballs-while it was a good portion size for a starter, it could have used a bit more salt.“
“I had the polenta with prawns and crispy cauliflower. It was delicious. The crispy cauliflower was really good dipped in the garlic aioli that came with the lamb burger sliders which my sister in law thought were good. My brother got the short ribs which looked delicious and I will order it next time. My brother said they tasted great. Sadly he doesn't like to share.“
“This place is awesome! I'm so glad there is a location near me. It's the closest thing to home-made when you don't feel like cooking. Customer service is great too. They are blessed to have Rich & Daniel they are so polite and congenial. I always know they're going to make sure it's done right..Vegetarian options: Awesome, wish I could make it this good at home“
“This has been the BEST experience dining in! When I came in I was deciding what meal I wanted, and after communicating that to the cashier, he helped me combine the best of both worlds (of which I was debating) and created an amazing meal. Thank you so much! I look forward to my next visit!“
“Everyone here is absolutely delightful. Right when you walk in, you are greeted with a very friendly hello! They are very considerate and care about delivering a quality experience. This place is worth going to just for the wonderful staff alone. Food is always consistently good as well!“
“This was my first time to this restaurant, but I was not disappointed. I have significant food allergies, but I was able to make slight adjustments without any problem, and without any annoyance by our waitress. I had the beet salad and the deviled eggs, and both were delicious. I thought the pricing was fair and a good value for what was served. My salad proportion wise was very large. I would definitely go back if I am in the area.“
“Great tasting food, cozy and charming location plus friendly and attentive service. It’s what makes a restaurant stand out from all the others. Nicki, the owner, goes above and beyond in making sure her guests are comfortable and satisfied. We’ve had brunch as well as Thai meals. Everything was super delicious! Parking is better than downtown Walnut Creek, Concord or Martinez which is another plus. Keep Skylar Bistro in mind for Art and Wine plus Concerts in the Grove later on.Parking: During festivals and concerts, nearby parking may be hard to find - nothing new there. That’s no reflection on the restaurant. Other times, there’s parking out front or across the street plus the Post Office.“
“We were looking for Curry Up Now, didn't realize it was actually part of the Local Kitchens mini food hall, which we'd never seen before but were thrilled to find. We ended up ordering from The Melt and Sushirrito as well, and loved everything. Ordering and pickup were easy, the staff was friendly, and the whole place looked spotless. Our family of four got tikka masala paneer on rice, garlic parmesan fries, tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons, and chicken karaage with Peruvian herb sauce. There were so many great options, we'll definitely be back again soon. It's the perfect place for a group. It's sort of magical that the same little place can provide so many different types of food, all fresh and tasty. There are a few picnic tables out front in case you want to eat there. For takeout, I recommend using the Local Kitchens app to order in advance.“
“Great breakfast place. Get the Breakfast Special. A great deal! High quality ingredients. - 2 eggs anyway you like, one pancake or one slice of French toast with whipped butter and warm maple syrup, pick your meat 2 thick cut bacon strips or 3 sausage links for under $10.Service was friendly and attentive. Tables are spread far enough that you are not sitting on top of each other. In terms of Downtown Castro Valley, JP’s is a great family restaurant with tasty comfort food at reasonable prices. You won’t be hungry after finishing your meal.Parking: Flat, large free parking lot outside of restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Disability parking in front of the restaurant. Plenty of spacing between the tables for folks with mobility issues to wheel or use a walker easily.“
“Went on Easter. Very nice menu, food was very good, appetizers awesome. Oysters and grilled cornbread. Salmon, hash, French toast and stroganoff were all yummy. Tried several desserts, cheesecake and lemon blueberry Bundt were outstanding. Waitress was right on the mark! Enjoyed it!“
“Definitely the best burger in concord. Great fries (I order mine without parsley) and the chocolate shake is perfect. If you order it medium rare, it's perfectly pink. The cowboy burger (think western bacon cheeseburger) is outstanding too. And my grown kids love the pretzel.“
“We’ve been coming here for years to get fresh salads. We never had any issues and the salads are always very fresh, great quality and made to our liking. The staff is wonderful. Very accommodating, respectful and friendly. Service is always quick and reliable.“
“Awesome place for breakfast, lunch or brunch! I went there for the first time with my mother and she got the club sandwich and I ordered the Reuben. they were not skimpy on the corn beef hash. Everything was quickly made and brought to us fresh. I will be frequenting this place a lot more now. Sherri our waitress was attentive and kind.“
“Really great spot. The outdoor seating is a little hit and miss, but that's more the fault of the location than anything else. I recommend sitting inside unless it's a very nice day.The food there is great, and the staff are very friendly.Top recommendations:- L.E.S.: this is the best pastrami I've had outside of a famed Jewish deli, and even then it is a contender. Truly a perfect sandwich that I could never get tired of enjoying.- duck banh mi: not really a banh mi, but it is a delicious sandwich with duck and pickled vegetables.- Spicy lamb burger: this thing is HOT, and in the best way. My scalp was sweating by the end , and it is delicious if you're into lamb. Would make great meatballs (hint to the menu makers hehe). They have decent wines, a good beer selection, and a nice bar with classic cocktails and great whiskey options... Particularly if you like Elijah Craig haha (their distributor must have gotten a good bonus!).Overall, if you are in the area and want a fun spot to stop by for lunch or dinner, this should be on your list of places to try. If you have gone and haven't tried the L.E.S., go back and give it a go (you're welcome ?).“
“I would love to give thanks to ANA, our server, and hands down on both our cooks, JESUS, and CHRIS. It was our first time there, and man, oh man, it was by far the best ever. It was well worth the wait. I'll tell you that. Will i return? I sure will. Thank you again, guys, for the best experience ever. Really great customer service ANA. thank you“
“I'm shocked at how good this place was. It's tucked in by the Bishop Ranch Lake, at the "Roundhouse". I've walked by many times, but finally came to try today! It's always very busy inside around lunchtime, as employees are on their lunch breaks. Cool that regular passerby can dine in/to go too! There's a huge amount of both indoor and outdoor seating, you'll always find a seat. Ordering process is pretty simple- order at the register, then show your receipt and pay when they call out your name. Our order took less than 5 minutes to prepare. The prices are amazing (for San Ramon, at least). We ordered a tri-tip salad and a tri-tip plate with broccoli and potatoes, with both meals being $12 each. The portion size is very large, and it's plated very gourmet, with a free cookie. The tri-tip was good, but pretty plain. Didn't bother me too much, I enjoyed mine with mustard, and the plate came with a yummy sauce. They didn't ask how we'd like it cooked, and it was pretty inconsistent. My salad's meat was mainly well-done, whereas the plate was more medium. Overall super impressed! The workers were all super nice, the meal was satisfying, and I couldn't be happier with the price and portion size. I'll be back to try the sandwiches!“
“It was sunny on my 2/25 bday and we were greeted with a sincere, sunny smile by the hostess! Windows open, happy and attentive server, delicious drinks (creative cocktail menu), amazingly tasty cauliflower, great beef twist on lettuce wraps, tacos were loaded with a shrimp! As busy as it was, we were never rushed. Elegance in an upbeat, casual setting. Assorted high and low tables to accommodate anyone. First time for the 4 of us and can't wait to go back!“
“My family and I love Xenia Bistro. The food is tasty and the customer service is A+. (Jordan was our server tonight) I had salmon with risotto and vegetables. The Salmon was fabulous. It was the best I've had in a while, It was grilled to perfection. They changed their menu to offer more options. My fussy eater son had steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. He ate it all and said it was delicious. My husband had the short ribs and my daughter had the grilled Cod with a Shirley Temple. We will return again and again. Thank you!“
“We went here with no desire to cook after a long ,enjoyable, and hot day. Just small salads for us. Choice among 8 varied salad offerings. These are a nice size. The large salads are very generous. The smaller size is bigger than a side salad and great for those of us who are not big eaters. Bread basket complimentary with pretzel dough rolls and butter that tasted freshly made.Staff is good, respectful, and experienced. Creekside Grill, being located in a large retirement community, knows their clientele. We ate outside, and the place filled up rapidly after we arrived a little before six on a Thursday evening. We have had live music in the past, usually a single singer with an instrument. Always appropriate and worked well even with conversation around the table.By the way, indoor part of restaurant is relatively low noise even when full and one can converse easily.“
“After a long day flying into Oakland from the east coast in December with bad weather, we arrived frazzled & tired but ok. Since we were on east coast time, we just wanted to eat & go to bed. Michael, a front desk attendant, gave us outstanding customer service - the best we have ever seen from a front desk staff. He went out of his way for us as they tried to help us figure out a way to get to Lake Tahoe in between blizzards. There was also a female front desk clerk who was helping also but I forgot her name. He went above and beyond to make our stay. Thank you, Michael. Room was your typical Courtyard. It is an older hotel & definitely needs an upgrade. Good local owned restaurant next door. Right off the interstate 580 & about 20-25 minutes’ drive to Oakland airport without traffic. Cons: Hotel charges for parking. Not sure if they have problems in the area, but it seemed to be safe. It seemed strange to pay for parking for a hotel in the suburbs. “I have been a bay club gym member for many years, and always enjoy occasional lunch/take out from this place. Food usually very fresh and tasty. My favorite is fish tacos and veggie California bowl. My kids favorite is burger and chicken tenders. There soup of the day is good and kid friendly. My only wish that they have more vegan friendly options and whole grains, instead of white rice. They have plenty of tables outside overlooking the pool area. Inside you can seat in the general launch area or at restaurant's tables and order your food from menu or at the bar.Service is friendly, but on a slower side. I think they still understaffed since Covid.“
“The food here is amazing! We came here for my birthday dinner. We all got great dishes: my pork chop was tender and juicy, the crab cakes were excellent as was the flaky filo Mary's chicken. The desserts were good, not as great as the main courses in my opinion but my friends liked them. We got the bread pudding and the black bottom white chocolate banana cream tart.“
