“Stumbled across this gem. If you're in the San Diego area, I highly recommend. The food was great and so was the service. Ribs and pulled pork were my favorite. Sides were delicious too. Mac, baked beans, and slaw were all good. The corn bread is the best I've ever had. Spacious place to hang out with friends.“
“It's such a special experience,Coleslaw's excellent I had the pork ribs excellent-$22, cornbread $6 excellent , potato salad excellent, The vibe in the back patio is fantastic, they've got it set up so it's just ultra cool in the back, Go with a group of people it's even better , there's plenty of cozy tables that have their own little area, there's art on the walls, and then plenty of tables in the center to sit in the back and then there's a big fireplace and then in the very back is a big cigar lounge and then the owners hang out in the back and they're super fun.“
“This place was a pleasant surprise for me. The food was very delicious and we came on a great day where it was cold and rainy outside. It look a little but longer than usual to receive the food and bill, but the taste of the food, friendly service, and great atmosphere made up for that x 10. I wish I lived closer to keep eating here!“
“For my third times ordering a lechon here in USA this is my first time that I can say “the best lechon” taste like Cebu lechon very juicy too . Affordable price . I ordered last week and all the visitors asking where I got the lechon. Next time again !“
“The food was GREAT! We went around lunch time on a weekday and it was picking up. I also got the biegnets and they were light and soft on the inside, crispy and sugary on the outside. The etouffee, gumbo and red beans and rice is what we had and all of the food was flavorful and hot from the kitchen. We saw a lot of people ordering the baskets and they looked really good. We are going back to try those soon.“
“First time here, no wait in line. Ribs are fall off the rib, and super yummy. Also grab the Mac and Cheese. Super friendly staff asking how we were when we got there and while we were eating. It’s clean and lots of space to move around. Definitely try it out.“
“Attending a mixer function hosted by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was okay. I did try their whisky!First time for me. I learn from other people that the fermentation process can last couple years and not gone bad.Personally I can't say much of their products being it's my first time tasting it. I want to try it, cuz the night was freezing and I need some alcohol to get me warmer. LolThe parking was a b****. Luckily when I arrived there were two spots left!!! HehheheheI didn't try their food. Or was the food stands theirs?! No clue.“
“My parents use to work here way, way ,WAY back in the day when it was owned by the Jensen's. This is one of the few things I do miss about California. Whenever I'm back in Southern California, I always make sure to stop in. Great food, great atmosphere. All around, a definite must.“
“Our bartender really wanted to find drinks we would enjoy. She made me a wonderful drink called the white girl which I am and it was delicious. This is the oldest bar in san diego. Check it out beautiful bar back and lots of memorabilia. Walk onto history and just soak up all those who came before you.“
“The food was very great and very flavorful in comparison to a KBBQ place. The server we had was super nice and eligible about any questions that we had he was very great at attending us a little there were periods where no one would come to check on us at all. Overall it was very good but a little pricey. I would recommend this place.Parking: Location is right by Trader Joe’s so parking situation can be tricky has many people are shopping at Trader Joe’s“
“Delicious! This place has been on my list for a while and it did not disappoint. The tri tip sandwich and brisket sandwich were delicious! The meat was so tender. Potato salad was a winner. Green beans were too salty. Plain fries were another hit! The loaded fries were too much for me... plus they have a great drink menu. Sauces were underwhelming - they had a strong vinegar taste. However, the sandwich didn't need any more sauce! Beyond delicious as is. Also, I haven't found a restaurant to serve Not Your Fathers Root Beer until now! Service was polite, friendly, and prompt. This restaurant is family friendly. It's a great, casual, atmosphere that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. There are heaters, fun old school music playing in the faint background, and fun Disney references sprinkled in the decor! I'll be back :)“
“Literally everything I have eaten is 10/10, the attention, the image of the place you literally feel like you are eating in Korea, I haven't eaten a taste of that style of authentic Korean food in years, and the beer uff very good the kass and a very good price ?? and the snow macaroni is another level, and I recommend that you order galbi de rib“
“We love Korean Bbq!. Love this location. It's so much more open than their other location in Chula Vista. The vents are amazing that you barely smell any smoke. You never leave smelling like Korean bbq. The service was excellent. The kids loved the robots. We will definitely be back“
“The food is freshly prepared and not like typical Filipino cantinas where you point at the food, which has been out for awhile. Their bowls have the right amount of rice, meat and veggies. Well balanced meal and not greasy. Highly recommended for a modern feel of traditional Filipino food. We need to make Filipino food match the modern times. So happy too that it's near my home and not all the way in Clairemont or Mira Mesa.Parking: No problem with parking even during a rainy day.“
“The food is delicious today I had the Tri tip sandwich with creamy horseradish and pickled onions ???????????? come and you have to try this ???Parking: Next to manolos marketKid-friendliness: They always are polite and great customer serviceWheelchair accessibility: Big parking lot and 4 handicap parking spot“
“Oh my God! It tastes like Christmas at grandmas house in Georgia. THIS is what I’ve been looking for. I’m new from the east coast & soul food is hard to come by in this city. I had the catfish, greens & beans, unfortunately they were out of Mac n cheese, but judging by the catfish & greens I already know the Mac b cheese will not disappoint. I’ll be back every weekend for sure.“
“It's a hidden gem. It's a mom and pop shop, it's absolutely delicious! My friend was telling me about this location and I decided to go before they close. I got some of the noodles, sausages, bread and beef as well as two canned sodas (I don't know the exact name of some of the dishes because I kind of just took whatever they had left) such great portions and I will 100% be back so I can see what else they have. I spent less than $40“
“Service was good. Prices were reasonable. Decor was fun. My teriyaki chicken with rice was good. My daughter ate all of her chicken teriyaki bowl. My wife’s teriyaki steak was burnt, though. We sent it back (they actually just left the first one at our table). The second one was almost as bad. The server noticed and took that dish off of our bill without us asking (which was nice). Stay away from the steak and you’ll be fine. We would go back, so please don’t take this as a negative review.“
