“I've been here several times and they've never missed with their sandwiches. They've got speedy servers who will make your sandwich in 3 minutes which is great for a construction worker like me. The sandwich tasted amazing and all the ingredients were fresh! Jalapeños were smackin' spicy and the vegetables had a nice crunch to it. Bread nicely toasted and hearty. Ham refreshing and salty. Would definitely recommend this spot for all the construction workers out there in a rush.“
“This most positive, heart warming experience I ever had at a restaurant! Super kind and personable! All people and businesses owners should take note on how to treat their customers! With great customer service came fantastic sandwiches! Without a doubt, we will be costumers for life! Looking forward to trying more sandwiches! Deena (sp) thank you for treating us like “family”!“
“Was craving a true deli sandwich and this didn't disappoint. Went for The Gaslamp (minus tomato) and it's massive, delicious and hit the spot. Slightly drippy/messy so grab extra napkins. I think I accidentally got extra meat as the ~$13 sandwich ended up being ~$15.50 after taxes and a 'surcharge' which I guess was for using a credit card? Not very busy on a Thursday before noon, one woman making the sandwiches. She was helpful, pleasant and put a smile on my face. The market sells some groceries, snacks, alcohol...“
“My favorite bahn mi place in the Chula Vista/National City area. Run by a sweet family and their bahn mi always hit the spot especially for the price. You can even see them make your sandwich as the kitchen is easily seen from the front. My favorites are the crispy pork belly (heo quay) and the grilled pork (thit nuong). Much love to this place and I hope they continue to serve our community with fresh bahn mi :)))“
“The staff was very friendly, and it made up for how long it felt the sandwich took to make. There was a decent amount of people ordering at the same time and these sandwiches are prepared with extra attention so I understand. Would definitely recommend this over the average fast food restaurant in “
“I always forget how good this place is for some reason. They knock it out of the park with really tasty, really creative sandwiches and salads. It’s sooo overpriced but it’s a solid treat every once in a while. Note that it is a bit slower than other places in the area, so make sure have about 10 mins to wait for your food after you order. If you have the time, it’s worth it. Also - get the pomegranate mint lemonade. If you’re already paying for the lunch, you won’t regret spending a bit more on that killer lemonade. Highly recommend all around.Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten-free sandwich bread- not crumbly or dry.“
“Got the Mediterranean Bowl with tofu via delivery app. They know how to make a vegetarian dish that's for sure. Sour and salty dish well balanced with sweet potatoes and different textures. Not just healthy but tasty. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: Meatless bowls and tofu as the protein option.“
“Just WOW!! Been going to this place for some time already and i got to say by far the best place for tortas in san diego!!. Customer service is great and prices are very good compare to other places ive been to in SD. My personal favorite is la rica torta with panela cheese, and their oil hot sauce is a must!!“
“I had been looking for a new sandwich spot since my favorite one closed down in Chula Vista. My brother invited me here for lunch, he's a regular. I honestly wasn't expecting much because of the location in this little plaza, but boy was I wrong! This place was a 10 out of 10 from the service to the food. It's a family owned establishment, which I love. The young man working behind the counter had a nice smile and was friendly and attentive. His name was Donovan and he had told me that the people who work there are family. You can tell by the way he treated us that he takes pride in his family's business. The sandwich he made me was one of the best sandwiches I have eaten in a long time! I ordered the California sandwich and I'm already wanting to go back to get another one. I highly recommend this spot and definitely will be back for more.“
“Best deli sandwich I've ever had! Customer service is awesome. Only and minor complaint are the tables! Not stable! Need to get some new tables. Have gone almost every day since visiting here. They get crowded at lunch but they are still pretty quick.“
“My go to spot for when I need a giant pizza! This pizza is soo good! The staff is friendly and also located in the liquor store in case you need anything else. There are many giant pizza locations in San Diego but this is my favorite and go to when I have to feed a crowd. You can also sit inside and enjoy your pizza watching tv but usually I get it to go because I'm always taking it to an event or family function, definitely a place to check out.“
“Tucked away in some unassuming strip mall near a busy freeway exit, you will find this little gem of a fruteria. Handsomely-sized chamangos that seem to last forever can be accompanied by some of the tastiest tortas you'll ever have. The prices are absolutely sensible, too. Pro tip: If you ever find yourself dreading the lines and costliness at the nearby amphitheater, roll by Chango Mango beforehand. Stock up. Munch during the crawl to the venue. Enjoy the show afterwards.“
“Food, service, and ambiance are top notch! Food: -Toasted Italian sub everything on it. It was exactly how I wanted it to taste; crunchy on the outside, warm, soft, some spice and a lot of flavor. -Pastrami with the works. So flavorful and good! Service: The kind gentleman at the counter suggested the heated Italian sub and I am so glad he did! Great suggestion ( and he was wearing cool glasses) Ambiance: Located on a corner downtown makes the window watching perfect. The walls are lined with windows, there is an adorable counter to eat at as well as a few tables. The funk music playing gave this place a cool and inviting old school vibe. 90% of the sandwich patrons were in fluorescent work vests eluding that this is the local fave amongst the real people of the city! I highly recommend coming here!“
“First timer, went in today because I was really craving some Hot Cheetos with cheese! I also bought a mango raspado and cashier suggested Tajin and Chile, said she could even bring my order to me curbside! I loved the customer service, the raspado was super refreshing and delicious. (Got a mango, tasted nothing like syrup it tasted like actual mango omg so bomb) thank you for the quick service will definitely be back! (:“
“We’ve been coming to Coronado for over 25 years, and we had no idea about this HIDDEN GEM! Best subs ever!! Today I tried the Orange Avenue Italian. It was only $7 for a HUGE half or $11 for the full. I couldn’t even finish half of the half! It was DELISH. I can’t wait to try the other sandwiches on our next visit.“
“Great spot for a sandwich, never had it before but I highly recommend it to anyone if your looking for a fast sandwich. The cashier has a good ability to actively listen to customers and understand their needs on how they want there sandwiches. Also let’s not forget they have great team work to get your orders right away.“
“This place is amazingly clean. Very important! Clean floors, prep tables, all of the above. For a change, I finally found excellent customer service that came with a kind and friendly smile, in fact, the entire staff warmly greets everyone who walks in. The menu is very organized and easy to read with an assortment of savory foods. The person that attended me was Lorena and she made a delicious torta de lomo! The food was done right, on time, and excellent! The management team is on it!!! Thank you Ilyana!“
“This Subway location stands out for its excellently packed sandwiches, offering incredible value for money. Among many Subway outlets, it's my favorite, consistently delivering friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. As a frequent Subway patron, I can confidently say this spot is top-notch, offering an amazing dining experience every time.Vegetarian options: You can pick a veggie sandwich with a ton of veggies and sauces.“
“Happened to be walking down the street exploring downtown; saw the sign, and thought I'd give this place a shot.Entering, I was a bit confused. There was a little area to sit but no real guidance on where to order or if you're supposed to take a seat and they come to you? There were no hand held menus that didn't look like kids coloring books. Similar atmosphere to a Panera Bread but without a chain experience. To provide a little more insight on this place.Pros:-Coffee-Open seating to have a conversation-Convenient downtown location-WiFi availableCons:-No pancakes available at time I arrived, not sure if this is their signature item?-Plate/Tray cafeteria format, no direction on where to return them once you finished eating-Inconsistent consistency of salt/pepper shakers on the tables, some had them some didn't.I would say this is a place you could sit, have a conversation and some coffee if you needed someplace to meet. Could use an update as well as some better dining practices.Kid-friendliness: Has coloring books“
“went in with my mom, was told I needed to wait for an online order to be finished, and that after that they’res one customer ahead of me. My mother and I waited, it was worth it. Sandwich was delicious, great portion size. Despite the stress of a full line and online orders Veronica was very kind. Please give her a raise or make sure she is being paid accordingly to her great service. She was working all by herself.Thank you Veronica!“
“Noel is the best worker they have!! I believe that’s his name! Haha. He really knows how to make a sandwich well, you can tell he has mastered it and he is so sweet and knows the little tricks like heating up the veggie patty before you toast the whole sandwich. He should get a raise. I will only get a sandwich from here if he’s working. Thank you!!!!“
“Good food but a bad neighborhood .After I sat down to eat my sandwich, a child walked up to me and begged me for money .The child appeared to be on drugs ; He was scratching himself . He said that he would do inappropriate things for a free foot-long cookie . I am not familiar with the modern street slang but it made me very uncomfortable .The FBI needs to investigate this place . The ghost of Jared is still haunting this cursed venue.Vegetarian options: WYSIWYGParking: The Auto zone parking lot nearby is more empty.“
“This is s bright very clean Subway. Food is always fresh and everything is in view. I bypass a Subway nearer my home to go to this one. Service is prompt, employees are polite and neatly attired. Tables are clean and free of debris. Skip MacDonald and go here instead. Yea!“
“Be patient when ordering. I'm sure because their sandwiches are always good, and that's why there's always a line, but expect the service not to be lightning speed. Deli slices sliced to order. Mike's Way always a winner!“
