“Simply delicious. The curry bowls are bowls full of yummy comfort and the paratha flatbread is perfection. I am officially obsessed with this hidden gem. The restaurant is family owed and it shows in the food. I love supporting the local family owed businesses, especially when they are this good.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I’d honestly give Annapoorna 4.5 stars if I could. This is my go-to when I’m craving Indian food — I’ve eaten dinner inside a couple of times, but mostly I get takeout, and it’s always good.
My must-haves are the Kadai Chicken, Kadai Lamb, Goat Biryani, Baingan Bharta, and their naan — love them all, and they taste even better the next day. My mom’s favorites are the rasam and their dosas, so we’re both happy when we order.
It’s just a little restaurant tucked in a shopping plaza — kind of a hole-in-the-wall — but the food is so good I’ve never once been disappointed.“

“We were greeted by the jovial manager - owner of this local favorite Indian restaurant. There were so many delicious dishes to choose from; we had Lamb Masala and a Chicken dish both with yummy Aloo Paratha and Garlic Naan. All dishes were generous and we will bring more friends next time to try from the huge selection. Gulab Jamun is my favorite dessert with Mango lassi, a perfect pairing.“

“This place is consistently great. I've tried their chicken and rice dishes, and they all taste great. The tandoori chicken and (I think) butter chicken are especially good. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is that they skimp a bit on the portions and give you tons of sauce. If you're into that, it's great, but I just wish the meat portions were more generous.
The value is there, but for me it's borderline because of the portion size. Overall, this is a solid spot and very convenient for lunch if you're in the area.“
“Vishnu Catering did a spectacular job at the event that I planned for ~100 people in Santa Barbara. They showed up on time, prepared, and were very professional to work with throughout the entire process. We haven't even gotten to the food yet - every single person at the event (desi and non-desi) enjoyed the food and praised the food to us. Of note, the rasmalai, double ka meetha, mutton curry, mango daal, chai, apollo fish, mango lassi, chicken tikka masala, paneer makhani, aloo gobi, and more. You can't go wrong by choosing Vishnu Catering for your event. They were a hit. Thanks Ram, for all the effort and for helping making our day so special.“

“So delicious! Where else can you get vegan tikka masala, butter tofu, saag tofu.. tell me, I wanna know! So hard to find. So pleased they offer so many vegan options beyond the normal chana, dal, bhindi, aloo we usually get. I missed having a creamy, rich tikka! The tofu butter masala was my favorite (at least I think I was that one - the darker orange one). Closest to a tikka one might have had before going vegan. Absolutely loved it. Called and confirmed everything on the "Indian Vegan Cafe" menu is 100% vegan. I bet you can also just go to Southern Spice and sit down and order it. I'll have to try someday. I did pickup after placing a GrubHub order - be warned, it seemed to take longer than the non vegan orders, wasn't ready quite when the app said it was. Not really a "ghost kitchen"... really just Southern Spice's vegan menu but separated into a different name for ordering. TLDR - highly recommend, especially if you're craving more creamy (but vegan!) Indian curries! Updated from previous review on 2023-06-08“
