“Ordered through Door Dash and ordered the Bento Box of Spicy Pork: The box comes with a good amount of tempura, mainly vegetables (squash and sweet potato) and one shrimp. The tail is hiding in there so I spit it out. lol. The batter is like a pancake mix and it was sweet to me. I thought it was delicious. The dipping sauce for the tempura was light and seemed lemony. The tomato salad with thousand island dressing was fresh and basic. The 4 California rolls were also fresh and the cucumber was crunchy good. Spicy pork was flavorful and not spicy at all. Bed of rice is underneath the meat. The beef rib plate was flavorful! But the meat was not too tender where it "melts" in your mouth. It was like a medium type of tough. But it was an enjoyable chew lol! I would order this again for sure. Try this place out!“

“I had takeout from this waba location and honestly it was pretty good. They loaded it up with sauce on the side as well as 4 green onions for two entrees. The chicken and steak were perfectly cooked and delicious. Was my first time trying the tacos and it was actually really good. In a way it kind of tasted like Peking duck with the sauces. “Stopped by for lunch on a weekday and was seated right away. The waitress was so sweet and even though she was alone, always had a smile and gave amazing service. Got the classic noodle (spicy), which also comes with rice at the end to mix the rest of the sauce. The noodles are so bouncy, chewy, and soaked up the amazing flavor of the sauce. “My golden girl mother broke her top denture the Thursday before Mother's Day weekend. We cherish every Mother's day with her, she is ninety three. So we needed her to have a beautiful smile on mother's day. I called Apex on Thursday and asked if I could bring her denture in. Mirabel said, of course.So now is where they put their capes on and started using their super powers. They first said the denture would be back on Monday, I had to asked for sooner, and later that afternoon they called saying they'd will be back today!! OMG!!I have no idea who, what or how this was able happen! But my family is so grateful and impressed, our Mom had her smile and a wonderful mother's day celebration thanks to Apex dentistry, our super heros. We are so appreciative and we extend much love to this team.“

“Pretty solid noodle house with yummy broth and a good variety of choices to order from. We ordered the Crabmeat Tomato Basil Noodles and House Special with Mixed Noodles. We thought the flavors were good and there was enough to take home for some leftovers. The place wasn’t crowded before noon. This is our second time here and they have specials if you order over $39 worth of food and pay in cash you can get a drink included with your meal. Hope this place stays around. “I found this restaurant on Yelp! What a great find! The inside is spacious. They have small curtain like partitions for privacy between tables. So far, I've been here twice. Both visits have gone well. This hot pot restaurant is shabu shabu style. You are given a slip and check off all the ingredients that you would like to put in your broth. The beef is cut fresh when you order it. I've tried the sichuan broth and the tom yum broth. They've been flavorful. I love adding tofu and potato vermicelli along with veggies and beef. Customer service is great. The waitress is attentive and friendly. She checks on you often and makes sure your cup is always full of water or your preferred drink. I also like how they are open late as this cold weather makes me crave hot pot. I'm looking forward to trying a new combination.“

“I had the Peking Duck Combo Meal twice, both times takeout and they were very good and tasty.The location was previously a Korean fast food and that’s why you see reviews of Korean food mixed in here. Google should really fix this problem.Back to the Duck Palace. The duck was well seasoned and delicious. The meat was carved out with both skin and meat so it is not just skin only. This is just another style of eating Peking Duck, not more or less “authentic “ as I had both styles in China, in Beijing no less. The combo meal comes with a Duck soup, first time it was real good, the second time I think the cook tipped the whole bottle of pepper in it ?. The carcass of the duck, mainly the neck and leg bones, were deep fried and they are surprisingly tasty, excellent when washed down with a cold beer.“

“If you're looking for authentic Cantonese/Food off the beaten path (on the west side of HH) without having to compete with all the traffic (between Azusa Road and Nogales), check out Cocoin. It's run by a really cool couple. I'd say their food is definitely a strong 4 but their service and how nice they are bumps it up to a 5. There's plenty of seating inside. It's not huge but if you need tables for large parties of 8 to 10, they have those as well as smaller tables for parties of 4 or 6. There's plenty of parking outside. I've visited numerous times over the last few years and I'd say everything we've eaten so far from beef chow fun to hainan chicken hovers around 4 stars. Their hainan chicken is bone-in unlike Cluck 2 Go. Their portion size like their pork chop dishes (i.e ging do pai gwut) is a really good value (especially now a days) and their wok hay for their stir fries and chow fun is good. I particularly enjoy their herbal drinks which can vary from day to day.“

I was not that hungry but here's what I got: Scallion pancake Peach black tea (free from yelp check in) Qinghai clear cold noodle Chicken noodle/rice noodle soup The staffs are polite and accommodating to the requests I made. Food came out fast and I thought the price would be much higher since it's inside a mall. I'd stop by again to try other dishes.“

“Parking can be challenging around dinner time but lunch time is fine. Restaurant is nice and spacious and has a lot of interesting cultural decor. Server was attentive and helpful especially when she saw us having trouble with the tea pot. Loved every dish we ordered and will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Dolan special tea was nice and floral with a hint of honey. Definitely a must with every order. Even better that it came with endless refills of hot water to keep brewing the tea. Even after 5 refills of the hot water the tea did not taste like it got diluted at all. Shredded potato dish was nice and had a decent amount of spice to it. Samsa was super flaky and filled with a well seasoned ground beef. Paired well with the pickled cabbage. This is what I wish the Porto's meat pie tasted like. If they sold this frozen I would buy a dozen just so I can make it at home. Fried naan and beef was good. Honestly was more naan than beef. In our order it was around 5 percent beef and 94 percent fried naan and 1 percent veggies. Dish was good but wish there was more beef. Big plate chicken was a very generous portion but we did feel that it was a bit on the salty side. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the hand pulled noodles was delicious. Very filling to say the least.“

“Chuan Pot is a AYCE shabu place that's relatively worth the price! The ambiance was pretty interesting, we came in a Saturday night and it wasn't too crowded around 6pm! The tables are all made of a type of wood I commonly remember seeing in my uncles' and auntie's houses growing up haha so it gave kind of a nostalgic feel. I found the music and vibe to be quite unique for a shabu place! They played jazz and had a screen with a Hawaiian backdrop; it made the dinner experience feel strangely calming, not the usual upbeat experience people may find at other places. As far as food and service, it was really great! Both of our female servers were super sweet, attentive, and friendly. They checked on us often and made sure we always had meat on our table! They only serve 4 types of meat and have 6 soup bases to choose from but allowed us to order two plates of each (not sure if this was because we were a group of 4 or because it wasn't too packed). The meats were good quality and were tasty in our two soup bases. They give you paper plates and bowls to eat from which worked for us! They also have a sauce table with ~8 toppings, a water bar, and a veggie/noodle/rice/other misc shabu foods bar. I was happy with the variety of items they had! “If you are into spicy Chinese food, then you will love this place. This eatery serves Chengdu style food (a sub-part of Szechuan cuisine). It had the same 麻辣 taste for all of their dishes （literal translation: numb & hot pepper spicy) as in a typical Szechuan dish. Numbing effects came from black & white peppercorns, which you can taste quite distinctively. Thhis style of food is known as Maocai 冒菜(translates from local dialect: heat the food); , which derived from the hot spicy soup with all kinds of herbs pour over the ingredients creating steam (as in 冒烟as in “smoking”）just before serving to the patrons. You can choose from the menu or pick your own from the buffet bar and you will pay based on the weight of your selections. Once weighted, the kitchen will cook your concoction for you based on your selection of the sauce. All sauces were spicy and numbing. You can also choose lite spiciness, mid spiciness or extreme spiciness. This is the first time I’d tried this and I actually enjoyed the numbing and hot peppers flavor very much. I pride myself on eating spicy food, but I opted for lite spiciness here and it was plenty spicy for me. The prices were reasonable and the quantity was fulfilling for the items on the menu. You can also choose from glass noodle, rice noodle or instant noodle for your carb. I had the rice noodle and it was very well made. My wife selected the least spiciest sauce, the beef bone soup, with beef and it was just a bit spicy, but plenty of numbness.“
