“Wow! My son and I ate here for a very special dinner. The ambiance was cozy & finely understated, dimly lit along the neckline of diners to create elegant, artful hyyge -- top to bottom. Our waiter was a poised, warm, & knowledgeable gentleman, educating us and engaging generously with my son -- his commentary and conjecture with easeful comfort and charm. Each member of the staff we got to talk to was equally thoughtful and welcoming, making the meal all the more precious because of these extremely heart-felt connections. The food was artful & delicious, obvi. Overall exquisite. Thank you, Team Providence!!!!!“

“We love Found Oyster!!! It’s like this restaurant was made for us!! Really good wine list with different varietals than some other local places, and orange wines! Every employee is genuinely happy to be there, and they are all knowledgeable and well versed! The food — Wow!! Everything is small and shareable, which is what we love ♥️♥️“

“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“

“Loreto is currently my favorite restaurant. I don’t even consider myself a seafood person but wow, every dish they have brings me closer to it. Drinks, food, desserts, and service are all impeccable. Tonight we got to do the omakase which was so unique and a really amazing experience. All the dishes were creatively thought out with seasonal ingredients in mind. I’ll definitely be coming back in the summer for their next one!!“

“Best fish tacos on the east side. Could eat them once a week. Made to order from a taco truck so sometimes you have to wait a bit. Wish they were there later but great for an early dinner or lunch. My favorite is the recommended shrimp and cheese one and soft shell crab“

“I am not exaggerating when I say that lunch at Mother Tongue surpassed our wildest expectations. Truly, if I could gave this place 10 stars, I would! Everything from the very friendly, efficient service to the wonderful atmosphere (just loved their decor, color scheme and relaxing background music) to the excellent food was outstanding! They made our wedding anniversary lunch really special! Recommend the delicious black kale salad and wild salmon bowl. Their yuzu pana cotta and soft serve sundae desserts are to die for!! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!“

“This place is excellent. Every dish we tried was good, but the standouts for me were the clam toast and crispy potatoes. The bread for the toast was perfect and the potatoes were just the right amount of fluffiness on the inside and crispy outside. My mouth is watering just writing this. The trout was worth getting as well. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.“

“Nick's always delivers great food at reasonable prices. My wife had the seafood cioppino with was good but it didn't have any scallops or crabs in it. The broth had a lot of cooked tomatoes. I had the meatloaf which was very good. Service was great and the sour dow bread is the best.“

“I tried out Playita Mariscos for lunch. I've been driving by for a long time. It is owned by the Guisados people so I expected the food to be good. I ordered the Campechana Mixta. The cold tomato broth was fantastic. I really like the raw shrimp, crab and fish. The Octopus was a little tough for my taste. They have a parking lot, which on Sunset, is a plus.“

“Excellent restaurant, very clean and the food is great. Only issue is the parking, only street parking but it’s not a big deal. After eating delicious food you don’t care about it.Parking: Wish they had a parking spot, but after eating good food at a good restaurant it doesn’t matter.“

“A sleeper hit in Pasadena. I’m probably in the minority here but my staple dish to get at a desi place is the bhindi masala. The execution at Akbar is impeccable. Fat, fresh okra sautéed with the sweetest caramelized onions topped with crunchy roasted cumin and a splash of what I’m guessing is amchurs bright acidity to cut through the meticulously charred edges. The paneer makhani and coco lamb were also enjoyed by my more mainstream butter chicken craving compatriots. The sides are also worth a mention - the raita is a perfect companion to the coco lamb, and the garlic naan is so long you could fit the Mahabharata on it compared to the standard soft taco sized offerings of other establishments. Oh did I mention free parking next door at the Green Tree motel? My only regret is waiting 2 years to come here after passing by it so many times.“

“Serving some of the best seafood in Pasadena! Situated at the heart of beautiful Old Town Pasadena, Fishwives is a solid spot if you're looking for variety and a bit of a change from your usual American greasy food.Their ceviche is outstanding and so fresh; the fried oysters on devilled eggs were incredibly flavourful and cooked to perfection - with the right amount of crunch; the lobster roll was scrumptious with chunks of lobster meat in every bite; and their fish and chips were outstanding - featured a great crispy batter paired with their excellent fries. Everything that we ordered was great plus service was spot-on!Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for seafood in the Pasadena area.“

“This was our first time at this restaurant and it was very good. There was a wide variety of items on the menu, and it was difficult to choose because everything sounded so good. We decided on the enchiladas Suizas & quesadilla Lito with chicken, which were delicious. Our server was very friendly & attentiveand made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.“

“Beautiful combo of lighting & unfinished wood inside with several different style seating areas. Fresh made pasta appetizer was spectacular! Mediterranean sea bass was excellent, if a bit small. Beef brisket was absolutely delicious, although corned beef style, which our server alerted us to before ordering. Old fashioned and East side cocktails were both solid. Service was helpful and attentive. Would highly recommended for a nice dinner out.“

“Chito's is my new spot to go when I'm craving food that is authentic, fresh, delicious, and as I like to say "comida de casa". This spot is at their home and they have a beautiful set up 3 tables and lots of chairs for people to sit down and enjoy their food while enjoying the California sun and weather. As soon as we walked in we felt welcomed and they asked us if this was our first time, if it is, you'll get a delicious free taco (unheard of in LA)! They kindly take credit cards and Apple Pay, making it all that much easier to go and eat a delicious meal. The food was FANTASTIC. We ordered the ceviche, the shrimp, fish, and marlin taco, and the fish basket. Everything was soooo delicous tasty, flavorful. I'm so happy we found this gem, I will be placing my order ahead next time!“

“This was a solid spot for sushi! It's kind of hidden and I wouldn't have known if my friend didn't bring up the place, but the ambiance was nice! We had the premium sushi set, Orange Blossom Roll, and Sunshine Roll- which were all good. It is on the pricier side and portions are small. Service was average.“

“If you want a Peruvian food experience, dine at Bodegon No 69 In Old Town Pasadena. We were able to dine indoors without a reservation (short wait). We were seated in their private dining area as tables indoors were full. For starters, we got the jalea mixta and empanadas (beef and chicken). If you like deep fried seafood, get the jalea mixta. Their empanadas was crispy, stuffed with fillings of choice. For ceviches, get the ceviche B69, which includes a variety of seafood. For entrees, I recommend the arroz con mariscos (seafood paella) and lomo saltado. Both are popular dishes and very flavorful. They give a generous amount of seafood. Drinks were okay, I wasn't impressed with the presentation or taste. Service was friendly. Just took long for food to come out in between meals. Overall, lively atmosphere and authentic Peruvian food!“

“Food is amazing, fresh and looks incredible. It will get pricy to get full so be prepared to order more than you think. Service was also wonderful. Our only complaint was the epic volume level of the restaurant. Something with the acoustics but we were pretty much forced to shout at each other to be heard. Also outdoor dining didn’t look appealing being right on Hyperion with a ton of traffic in your face.“

Last night we enjoyed @majordomola . Koreanish food, at it's best generous and full flavoured. Standouts include the pork shoulder, duck confit rice and the flambe(d) doughnuts.Next time we'll try their signature rib dish too. Take an appetite and lots of family. Also loved Houstons. “Good Chinese food USED to be easy to find not so any more. This was the best Chinese food I have had in years, literally! The Door Dash delivery was horrible but that is a separate issue and as bad as it was it still did not diminish the meal. I can't wait to take my wife & daughter to the Pasadena location.“

“One of my favorite Chinese restaurants for really great food. I believe this place is Michelin rated. I'm not surprised. My favorite is the crispy shrimp/prawns. They must use super hot oil to get the shrimp shells to be so light and crispy. You can eat the whole shrimp, shell, tail and all!Today, the 2 of us had the beef brisket with quail eggs and the zhajianmein, a noodle dish using black bean sauce. Both very good. Very flavorful.Good service. They have set a high bar. Many new restaurants are trying to outclass and outdo Bistro Na. I was surprised to get seating for 2 on a busy afternoon after church. Maybe the others are out trying the new contenders?“

“I’ve visited the one in Cerritos many times. This one is more traditional in terms of design and layout. The tables are a bit uncomfortable on two sides because the table jams into your leg. However, the food is to die for. The food is so good. Stop by and have some dim sum. The string beans are also amazing.“

“I actually originally wanted to try this place in NYC but they were super booked. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the LA one had no wait on a sunday for brunch. we got the all star (2 sausages, 2 bacon , 2 eggs , 2 OG cakes) and these pancakes are to die for. they're crispy and just the right amount of butter and not too sweet either! the hashbrowns are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. not sure why the yelp reviews don't reflect what I experienced when I had it!“

“Decided to give it a try today since it was on my route home. Ordered the farmer style pork and green pepper. It's not the usual fatty pork you'd get from other chinese food places, but it's delicious either way. Less fatty, but still full of flavor. Portion is what you paid for. Spicy level is true to what spicy is all about. Will come again to try their mapo tofu and kungfu boiled beef since from this simple dish alone it does look promising.“

“This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. Tucked inside a hotel you wouldn't know about this place but I am glad my friend found it. We now made it a yearly thing to come back here and have dinner here now“

“Best raw soy sauce marinated crab in LA. Not too soy sauce forward like the overhyped Master Ha’s. Well-balanced without being too salty or sweet. And the spicy stew is so 단백해! “The service was great. I was shocked that actually Lamb chops were not on the menu. I did not like that it was so dark. I could barely read the menu. I also didn't like that everything was a la carte. They did have chops, on menu of the night. They were pretty good. Def worth the $55. And the sides were good. I had mac, Brussels & mash. All good. We also had a chocolate soufle. It was soo silky & smooth. Definitely worth saving space. I did like the flowers outside & I also recommend a reservation b/c they seem to be pretty popular. Dinner for 3 was $350.“

This thoughtful, non-intrusive support allowed us to savor the array of sauces and ingredients at our own rhythm, adding layers of joy and discovery to our meal.As we placed our orders, the excellence of service continued to shine. “Typically love outdoor dining but we made dinner reservations a week in advance and arrived on time, and we were still placed outside in the tent even asking for an indoor seat. There were at least 4/5 tables empty that we could see that could seat our party of 5 but we were denied those seats and said we would have to wait 45min for those tables. Since we had little kids and we're celebrating a birthday, we didn't want to take too long. So we were stuck outside in the rain and cold (they had space heaters but unfortunately our table was not under one so we ate in our heavy coats/jackets) After dinner we skipped the desserts bc we were too cold and uncomfortable to stay around any longer.“

“We celebrated the new year luncheon here. You need to make a reservation first cause they have lots of customers. Their flavors of dishes here are all awesome. It's an authentic Cantonese cuisine. The special bun is astonishing. It has shrimp, chicken and vegetables in it and filled with the soup. Tasted great. The seafoods here are very fresh. We ordered the gold lobster, fried squid and cashew nut shrimps. All of these tasted great. The services here are friendly and warm. They will help you to counter help. And the atmosphere here was nice. Though is not a big restaurant. But full with feeling of hometown. Recommended. It is an independent store that has been operating for more than 40 years. It tastes really good and it is authentic Cantonese cuisine. Every time All the dishes are exquisite and attentive. I like the pomegranate buns they ordered. They have shrimp, vegetables, chicken and full of soup. The skin of the duck with taro paste is crispy and very tasty. The skin of the glutinous rice chicken roll is also very chewy. I have eaten here before. The most authentic taste, the golden lobster is quite big and can only feed 11 people. It is delicious with salted egg yolk and the meat is plump. The fried squid is very crispy and the meat is very tender. Even the stir-fried soybean sprouts are very delicious after inhaling the chicken broth. eatThe overall taste is really first-class, the price is moderate, and the service is very attentive and will always help change the plates. Business is very good. It is recommended to make an appointment in advance. The overall experience is great. Highly recommended.“
