“This is by far the best subway I have been to.I come here at least 3 times a week to get my kid's lunches. The staff are always so pleasant and the store is always clean. I will only go to this location even though there is one closer to my house.“
“We come to this location from La Crescenta because our local store is so bad. At the La Canada location our app orders are always correct, the bread is tasty/fresh and more often than not, our order is ready and waiting at the correct time. Very satisfied with this location making it worth the extra drive. For all the people giving this location poor reviews, visit the La Crescenta location a few times to pick up app orders which are 100% always wrong with dry/disintegrating bread and grumpy disinterested employees. It will make this location look like a shining star.“
“This "Angels Bowl" (essentially a deconstructed hot chicken sandwich with bread swapped for crinkle fries) was everything I had hoped it would be. As a transplant who regularly grumbles at the cost-to-quality/portion size ratio of Hollywood restaurants, I feel this was good value. 2nd highest spice level was enough to get this Midwest-Polish boy sweating, but happy-sweating. Friendly staff. I'll be back.“
“This place is like a wayyyyy better Panera with delicious sandwiches and salads. Also a lot of veggie options and customization in the app. This will become a fairly regular place for us after recent visits. The tofu banh mi is awesome and the salads have so much great tasting and healthy stuff in them. The Japanese chili dressing should be bottled! Definitely try this spot out.“
“Completely on par with some of the competition for a good sandwich, Bodega Park does swing for the fences with great ingredients and balance. Just near the 2nd famous Silverlake corner, parking is challenging during busy hours as meter parking is your only nearby option other than parking in the residential streets just minutes away. The turkey is thinly sliced and flavorful. The Coppola savory goodness. The choice for Fontina Cheese is excellent. The breakfast items are hearty and delicious. The Chopped Cheese sandwich is reminiscent of some East Coast vibes. Drinks are your usual cafe-style creations with coffee being much of the focus. The balance achieved here is much about the nice baguettes used for each of their sandwiches. With quality meats, cheeses, and their thinly sliced red onions some may say it's a perfect meal. On par is the premium pricing. Expect $16 for the baseline on a delicious sandwich. They are not deli thick but will be satisfying. The seating can be few during busy hours. Thank goodness many menu items care mobile.“
“I've passed the sandwich, place a couple of times before I finally placed an order for pick up because there's usually a crowd waiting inside when I passed by and I wanted to avoid that long wait. So I placed an order for three sandwiches for me and my department for pick up more than an hour in advance. When I get there, they seem busy, and I let them know that I am picking up an order that I placed online and it took them only a moment to find my order and tell me that it was gonna be another 15 minutes til it was ready. So I wait on one of the seats outside 15 minutes and then go back inside, and my order isn't bagged yet. As I'm waiting, someone else comes up because she had called a correction in to her online order. Yes, this review is a bit tedious, but that's what it was like to get my sandwiches which were delicious by the way. Short story long, order in advance and show up 20 minutes late.“
“Food was great, server was amazing, little bit on a small size so if u come late you will have to wait. Only complaint would be meat being not enough salty but thats personal preferenc, so your milage may very. Will def come back... oh n price is good.Parking: Right next to the building“
“I was very stressed about making a flight because my phone had just died when I got lunch here. The man at the counter (presumably the owner?) helped me open my new charger and showed me where to plug it in and my food came out super quick, all of which helped me feel more at ease. I ended up eating my tuna sub at the airport, and it was definitely better than anything I could have bought at the terminal! Thanks Submarine King for a happy ending to an otherwise stressful day :)“
“Excellent service and delicious sandwiches! I have been eating at Lee’s Hoagie House for decades and the food is consistently delicious! Their marinated chicken hoagie and vegetarian sandwiches are the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Be sure to get them with the onions and peppers. Amazing!Vegetarian options: I crave the vegetarian sandwich and had one about a month ago. The sandwiches are consistently delicious. The bread is fresh and their unique sides and their quick and friendly service make this restaurant a go-to for lunch.“
“Didn’t expect to walk into this place the other day but I’m glad I did. It’s a very small Italian joint more for quick eats or to go. You can bring your family of 4 but it would probably be better to order out since this spot is so small. They offer frozen soups, ravioli, cannoli, stuffed shells, alfredo sauce, eggplant parm, lasagna, again all frozen so plan ahead when heating. They also have sides like pasta salad, marinated mushrooms, potato salads, macaroni, pickles, desserts….Yes, a one stop shop – they do have ingredients to bring home and make stuff, pasta and sauce. Personally, I don’t need a ton of meat on my sando because I find it to be very salty with the cured meats. This would be the reason why I don’t want to pay $24 for a sando and I think that’s way too much. But if in the case I was sharing with let’s say 2 other people and I brought an extra roll it would be worth it since I could separate the meat. Nonetheless, $24 for a sandwich is crazy (missing star) Oh also, after reading some reviews, yes the rolls are soft more of a French bread type, I do prefer a tougher Italian bread w a chew!!“
“First off, awesome staff. They were so helpful and friendly. I ordered a king Ruben. It was so good as well as the potato salad. It's a cut little shop. I personally can't wait to try a different sandwich. Ambiance bright and airy.“
“Went there for the first time today with the husband. The place was great had a good atmosphere. The employees where great handled the food properly, quick, friendly. The food was ok, nothing special about it. To me it lacks a bit of seasonings on their fries. We got a double cheeseburger, chili cheese fries with pastrami and pastrami sandwich. The pastrami sandwichs what what I felt was the best. And like I mentioned the service and their organization skills where great! Talk about teamwork. ?“
“Giamela's is a classic go to and has been around for so many years! Consistent quality subs generously topped with diced onion and pickle (if you opt for it). Always a treat and blows away the chain sub "shops". The only downside for some my be that it's cash only.“
“You never go wrong eating at The Hat! Whether you're a burger or sandwich lover..you'll find something delicious to enjoy. If you love French fries..and who doesn't...The Hat has a variety of fries cooked to order... some to consider: pastrami fries, chili fries, chili-cheese fries, gravy-covered fries, and more.. plus any other toppings you can think of.. like onion, tomato, pickles... and it goes on and on. Enjoy!“
“My husband and I try all of the different bánh mì places in San Gabriel Valley. The sandwiches here are a great although I wouldn’t say they’re necessarily the absolute best, they’re definitely top-tier what I really liked with some of the other stuff they offered like the pork meatballs, and some of the other skewer items. It reminds me of the food I ate growing up in Thailand, and I really love the southeast Asian food it’s very authentic and taste great.“
“I feel like I deserve a VIP status because I've ordered endless amount of their prosciutto sandwich and pink lady beets salad through dine in or ubereats this year. Their limited time peach hot honey sandwich was to die for (please bring it back!) and their service is EXCELLENT. One time I went in to order and someone was there to make sure everyone would get their togo order in a timely manner. When someone had to wait too long, he offered her free snacks or beverages!! This kind of excellent service is very rare in the states. Usually people are too busy and don't pay too much attention or would just apologize. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel lol. I'm in love with mendo“
“Turkey burger and pastrami with onion rings deliciousWheelchair accessibility: Yes for expansion doorway. Only 1 ♿️ space need more than one. Even hard to find parking around the surrounding street. Pasadena PD will ticket your vehicle or motorcycle just be careful.“
“Great pizza Giamelas Atwater Village. They don’t charge you $30 for a pizza so I come here now. Italian sandwich was great too, but i didn’t like that the tomatoes and pickles were diced so every time I’d bite into it everything all came out. Thank you!“
“This little place was such a vibe! The man working was so sweet and it was truly just a “feel good” homey atmosphere. && the FOOD?! 10/10 . This man made one hell of a sandwich ?I will definitely be coming back to this place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“First time here. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak. It was AMAZING!!! It’s hard to find a great sandwich these days. When I pulled up the place was empty, maybe they had a rush earlier. But I gave it a chance and I’m glad I did! Excellent!“
“Killer sandwich!I had the Terry Gross. A masterful combination of high quality sliced turkey, crunchy slaw, cheese that looked like was put through a meat grinder (A very good thing that made it's texture smooth and kind of chewable) plus what I think was mayonnaise spread on the inside of the bread. And oh that bread! Bub and Grandma's focaccia. Flavorful, crusty, spongy - amazing!.“
“So we came here all the way from Denver today. Well we came to see our sons but this was our first stop. We saw this place on triple D from years and years ago. Let me tell you - it didn’t disappoint! We had the fat Sals and the boys had the fat Jerry. The Fat Sals was delicious. Most tender melt in your mouth steak with tons of flavor and 100% worth every calorie!!! If you are counting calories then save up because this is the place to spend them. The tater tots were well done but just tots but the seasoned fries were perfect. The boys inhaled their fat Jerrys and then looked up to give us the most perfect satisfied smiles. I know it sounds odd but it was the bread that was part of the winning combination. We can’t get bread like that In Colorado.Well done Fat Sal’s!!“
“The best Vietnamese coffee I’ve had so far, tasted more like a chocolate milkshake!!!Great sandwiches and eggrolls as well. Thank you for the wonderful service we had today after seeing AGT!Parking: Free parking in frontKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I went a long time ago and it was just alright to me (coming from NYC and the famous BECs). But I gave it another shot when I moved here and wow, it did not disappoint. The sandwich was very filling and the egg yolk was very, very orange. This is a good thing and speaks to the quality of the egg. The egg was also perfect insofar as the yolk structure was preserved when placed into the sandwich and melted over the sandwich upon biting. The truffled hash browns were also a highlight; it takes the McDonald's hash brown and turns it up to 11.There is an imitator restaurant in Berlin called "44 Brekkie" which, while cheaper and with EU-standard ingredients, is nowhere near as good. 44 Brekkie presents itself as more of a cafe, but the sum of its parts is still not as good as Eggslut. My only issue with Eggslut is that the food is quite expensive and therefore not good for a daily occurrence.Vegetarian options: It's very easy to turn any dish here into a vegetarian one. Vegan is probably much harder considering their usage of butter and heavy slant on eggs.“
“Betty and her team catered a very special dinner at my house and then a pool party / brunch the next day. This was the single best experience with a caterer I’ve had in all my party planning years — great food, super collaborative (and helpful) planning, highly tailored and themed menu with tremendous creativity and a BLAST having them serve the party. The themed menu and decor were the literal talk of the party and all my friends are following up asking for her contact info. Simply fanstastic.“
“Tasty Banh Mis. I always get the sardine along with either the pork or chicken. All made fresh to order. They include a small au jus of the specific Banh Mi you order-nice touch. ? Parking is a challenge since it right on Hyperion so if you see a spot, take it.“
“Tony's has been a top sandwich spot for me. I don't usually eat sandwiches, but when I do, this place is the best. My top favorite sandwich is the pastrami with avocado. The Mexican tuna sandwich is excellent also. You can't go wrong with a sandwich from Tony's. The area is okay. There's plenty of parking in the back lot and street parking.“
“Came here with a friend who suggested this place. I am now in love. I got the Italian and it was great - best pickles I've ever had on a sandwich. Would come here again for them alone! Service was pretty quick and we sat outside to enjoy our sandwiches. Looking forward to coming again!“
“OMG!!! The FLAVORS - so good and on point. Went with friends. Each of us had a different sandwich. Had a bite of each, each of them had a distinct flavorful taste. Definitely making this one of my top go-tos! Nathan and his wife know how to make amazing sandwiches!“
“Just got out of this location and I was a big jerk and came in ten mins before closing that's my bad and I'm truly so sorry I hate doing that but Google says you guys close at 9:30! Please fix that! They close at 9pm at least on sundays Dirk and Jake went out of their way to make us some delicious sandwiches and even made one with fried chicken which I know is definitely a cringe order on our part because of the closing time. Again truly sorry for being that customer, we appreciate Ike's so much I have gone many times in SF but this location specifically KILLS it every time sandwich wise and customer service wise. Please give the staff here a raise it's always an awesome experience!“
“Super great place. Came here for the first time yesterday to get some donuts for my coworkers and everyone loved them, I especially loved the crumb donut. Came by this morning and got turkey, egg, cheese croissant sandwich and it's huge, delicious, and very fair price! The staff are super friendly and very pleasant in the morning. It's really nice coming in the morning and being greeted by them. The guy working there in the morning was also very helpful and accommodating when I asked him to just give me a random assortment of 2 dozen donuts. I think I'll make this my go to spot if I need something to eat before work since it's way better food and WAY better price than Starbucks or McDonald's these days.“
“Hole in the wall, real deal Armenian fermented meat shop. All beef hand made meats, similar to pastrami but not quite, I had the basturma sandwich to go served by 2 lovely gentlemen at the cashier who prepared and toasted my sandwich. Would recommend as an authentic experience“
“The California sandwich is EVERYTHING. PERIOD. To me, this is the best sandwich in LA. It is always perfectly prepared. It's almost too pretty to eat. If you are in the neighborhood or seriously hungover, this sandwich will bring you back to LIFE!“
“What a great find! I tried this place based off so many great reviews and I see why! The sandwiches are not only absolutely delicious but the portions are enormous. I can only eat half the large sized sandwich and wrap the other half to go for later. The guy at the counter is always smiling & friendly and the service is exceptionally quick. The inside is kept very clean and although small, a nice place to eat a sandwich and watch life go by on the corner the restaurant sits.“
“The Carving Board is the most enhanced experience with food that's affordable and consistent. I've work at different restaurants: The Ark, London, BBQ joints and Bow Tie/Long Apron service in NYC, etc... Pound for pound, The Carving Board is the most enhanced experience with food that's affordable and consistent. When a place is this efficient, all else falls into place. And believe me, you want! all else to fall into place.“
“Best sandwich spot in Burbank hands down! Yes, a lil pricier than your ordinary spot but sometimes you have to pay a lil more for flavor, & healthier options. The service has always been great the many times we've visited. The ambiance is perfect for a sandwich stop.“
“Truly a gem of a sandwich shop. The decor and atmosphere feels straight out of a 70’s movie and I felt like the main character!!I ordered the half All-cheese sandwich with everything on it and it was extremely satisfying! Perfect option for a vegetarian (which is hard to come by at other sandwich shops)I also got a mini size of the Chocolate fudge stout which was a rotating tap for the month to honor Porters and Stouts ? It was amazing and only $2.50I left feeling so pampered and so well taken care of! ? Can’t wait to make this my regular spot and I already find it impossible to place another sandwich order anywhere else.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options!Wheelchair accessibility: Parking in back lot with a short walkway to the patio entrance“
“Ordered through DoorDash craving a Vietnamese sandwich for lunch, I got the special sandwich and iced coffee. The sandwich was a decent size for the price, really affordable. Honestly it was a good sandwich, perfect amount of meat and veggies. The coffee was great as well, will be ordering from them again!“
“This is my second time at The Munch Company and I adore it here. They play quiet and peaceful music and make a delicious sandwich! I particularly enjoy the fact you can pick your own bread. I don't think there is free wifi, so I just use my hotspot if I need to get some quick studying in. The service is great and the workers are so kind. I really recommend this place and the hot in the club sandwich if you want a good sandwich!“
“Small neighborhood cafe with simple and tasty dishes. Popular with locals from the neighborhood.Vegetarian options: If you want something quick and good to eat, then this would be an ideal spot. The other fact is they close are only open from 8 to 3 so you either should call your order ahead before they close.“
“Haven't had Which Wich? in Years due to nearby locations closing / completely forgetting about the chain.. but after a reminder through old photos, I did some research & was pleasantly surprised to find that their nearest store is 10ish miles away from me, on Hollywood Blvd. My Experience: 7.5/5 Shafkat, alongside being Wonderfully Kind & displaying Selfless Hospitality, presented to me today what was By Far THE BEST Italian hoagie I've had in Years.. So Good in fact that I'm going to start making the trip over the hill every weekend for my once again Favorite, Superior sandwich on this planet. Super, Super Glad to still have a Which Wich? close enough to be able to travel to & I encourage all fellow fans of the chain to make the trip & give it a shot. So, SO WORTH it! :^) Jimmy who? Jersey where? ..this 'Superior Sandwiches' thing is Definitely NOT a joke! XD UPDATE: so damn good I ended up going back the next day. 10,000/10.“
“OMG! Bacon & avocado are paper thin. Doesn’t have much variety of liquid juice for it…Thought it’s franchise business. I ate @ other locations weekly from work. This location was my first & last, sorry. 5 stars for economic support …“
“This is my favorite Bondi place in the San Gabriel Valley. I would get this multiple times a week if I was a little closer. It’s cash only but the prices are extremely reasonable, especially in 2024. my go to is the barbecue pork. My wife gets the pork belly and adds barbecue pork. Also, I really like the green pandan bread they sell. There are no seats or anything. It’s just a takeout place but they do a great sandwich. The bread is baked fresh and it’s not stale. The meat is good. The veggies are good. I definitely recommend.“
“German is the most nicest man I've ever known and he's very respectful of your order to make sure it is what you want... The food is very good and tasteful...and his prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get and recieve.❤??“
“Got the #7 grilled beef. Pretty good. Had a Vietnamese coffee, I was happy that it didn’t leave me cracked out.The environment is a bunch old timer Vietnamese gentleman here drinking their coffee and chatting with their homies.Everyone is nice.My favorite is the French baguette. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.“
“I ordered from this location the first time today through the app. It was further than I wanted to drive but they had the jalapeño bread I wanted. I put in the comments extra mustard. When I came to pick it up. The lady greeted me and washed her hands immediately. I saw that the food area was just cleaned. I got my order and she said she put in extra mustard packets which I really appreciated! Then I got my soda drink and it was super clean. I was just so impressed by her friendliness, attention to details, great customer service and the cleanliness of herself and the store was immaculate! This makes me want to always come to this location because of these things! Thank you subway! I appreciate such a great employee!“
“The staff at this location are so sweet and kind. When my order got a little backed up, they refunded me as a courtesy (which was completely unexpected and I never would have even asked for that). When we were leaving, they wouldn't even let us clean up after ourselves and told us they were happy to take care of it. Such a surprisingly nice experience here.“
“I went in here and ordered one of their subs about 2 weeks after they first opened in August of 2020, maybe less than two weeks after they opened (the owner of the restaurant had given me a free complimentary bag of Kettle chips for being one of the early customers, thanks for that ?). I ordered a sub with pastrami and Black Forest ham and cheese, I think it was mozzarella cheese, with wasabi sauce on it (not too much, I told them easy with the wasabi). It was very good, but it wasn’t a filling meal for me (very important thing to consider for me! Which is why I emphasize this point, for the price it should have had more meat in it: though I’m not saying they “skimp” on the meat, but those two points which I’ll say again: 1) for the price it wasn’t enough, and 2) though it wasn’t skimped it wasn’t enough to make a satisfying meal: I took the sub home (this was during the COVID pandemic) and had to supplement the meal with more than just the sandwich and the bag of chips, which was of course a small bag of chips. But I recommend SubDan if you want to try an excellent sub. And they have kinds of subs you won’t find anywhere else, it’s a Japanese American subway sandwich place, and that sub tasted high quality, fresh, interesting: SubDan is very skilled at making subs, they’ve made a culinary art out of it, and they add some Japanese touches (at least the one I had was like that). I haven’t tried any of their burritos yet, so I don’t know how good or how filling they are. I notice at least two of the other reviewers recommend the breakfast burritos. I haven’t tried those yet.“
“I ordered a Philly cheese steak with sweet peppers, American cheese and cheese whiz on the side. It was a good Philly cheese steak, better than most of the ones out here and some of the ones in Philly. I'm just glad I got it with sweet peppers because I feel like it would have been a bit bland without it. The American cheese didn't add as much flavor as I would have liked. That's where the cheese wiz come in for the clutch. I wanted to give it a 5 star but It wasn't something I would go out of the way for. If I drove by, I might pick one up but other than that it's just Better than average. The parking situation can be a bit compact with only 5 stalls and a one way driveway. The service was quick and the seating is only outdoors so be mindful if it rains.“
“This is one of situations where I "found" this place again after many years. Used to come her back in the 80s when I worked in this area. Almost weekly. Great big menu, lots of great sandwiches, soup, chili and even dessert. Meatless sandwich options too. Ordered the Tomato Bisque Soup, an amazing Turkey Avocado on focaccia and a Pastrami Sandwich, on rye made the traditional way. No pickles. Great little shop, family owned. When he described his father I knew that was the man I used to order from back in the day. Walls show plaques and pictures showing their contributions to the community such as sponsoring many baseball teams and a proud sponsor of dozens of Rose Bowl Parade floats. A grade, clean, plenty of seating but for the most part I think people get it to go. Still can't believe it's been here for this long and I was here 40 yrs ago. . Yelp hours are incorrect, better call and see. Also closed Sunday and Monday now. Prices were very cheap, however the owner stated the menu is changing soon. Seems like this is the last place to raise their prices like everyone else's. Def worth a visit. When back the next day and got a Tuna Melt which was also good. Best around. Nostalgia helps“
