“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.“
“Fun time at kinkan! We had the where are we going tasting menu which was cool to experience and learn anout each dish and how the chef came up with it. The head chef was not in town that day so the sous was serving us. The best dishes were the ama ebi, tuna tartare, and ceviche! All of the staff was very kind tooUnfortunately one of the items was substituted with bolognese which was disappointing (supposed to be uni pasta). And the fish and chips (amaida, matsutake) and crab fried rice was not impressive for this price point. I think it was great experience but food didn’t feel worth it in the end so I would not go back a second time.Parking: Small parking lot, handful of spaces“
“We really liked the food! Both got noodles, one street noodle with chicken and one pad see ew with chicken. Prices are super reasonable and the food tastes good, especially compared to some of the other options in the area. Excited to try more of their food. Chill music and good service. Nice casual option.“
“Portions are very large so keep that in mind when ordering. The crab curry was delicious - you can get it de-shelled too which is quite helpful! The spice level is crazy spicy so a medium is whoa, hot. Moo ping (pork skewers) was too much pork for my boyfriend lol, which is never a thing!“
“Honestly, we rarely have Thai and this place, being close to home, has been our go to spot that's never disappointed. My boyfriend placed our takeout order online tonight, Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork and Sweet and Sour Vegetables (with beef), both very delicious. When he arrived to pickup they kindly asked if he had made an error and were prepared to make the adjustment! What a relief to discover that extraordinary service is still alive in small businesses that care about complete dining experience ?“
“Compared to a few years back this street food spot has gained a few more food stalls to neighbor it. There is now a bbq meet place, a salad and fresh foods place and a dessert one. I got three plates, one pad Thai, one pork fried rice and one of their new ground pork with egg dish. Pad Thai is good as always, fried rice was lacking flavor as before but they have seasoning for you to use. Their ground pork with egg was so good but holy crap it was spicy. It did have a good spice though I recommend it.“
“Most people are looking for the next big thing when it comes to restaurants. Spoiler alert, this place isn't new! It's been under your radar for decades. Family run. 2 generations and counting. Just go. Simple dining area. Small, 6 tables. I could go on but you'll get bored. Have a great time! Try something you haven't tried before. You'll love it!Vegetarian options: Just leave out the proteinDietary restrictions: VeggieParking: Open lot with day attentionKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: You have space“
“This is a wonderful place! The service is very friendly and the food is DELICIOUS - super flavorful and unique dishes you can’t find anywhere else. Small parking lot in the strip mall with reserved spots for the restaurant. Will definitely be back & the value for money is excellent. Dine in or take out - you really won’t be disappointed!“
“Loved the boat noodles here. It seemed to be just as good as the ones in Thailand, especially the mixed bowl. The steak piece in the mixed bowl is especially tender. Wish the crispy pork skin was refried, it seemed a little stale. The fried soft shell crab was also wonderful, one of the best ones that we've had. Lightly battered and very airy. The stir fried morning glory was also great.Service was friendly. The atmosphere was lively.“
“One of the best Thai food spots in Pasadena/Altadena- and that’s quite an achievement given the competition. Miya sets themselves apart with a well crafted menu, cozy and uniquely decorated space, and neatest of all, every Tuesday they have an all vegetarian menu with some unforgettable choices. Honestly worth checking out before the place inevitably becomes famous and the line for a table always out the door! Also huge shout out to the staff who took the time to walk us through the menu, explain how the restaurant dining choices worked, and generally went above and beyond to make the experience match the quality of the food!“
“Incredible food! Wonderful welcoming service and food was quickly delivered. Chic and fun atmosphere, and very clean. Everything was so good, but make sure to also ask for the garlic chili oil and chili powder if you want to kick up the spicy and garlic flavor a notch! I loved the basil flavor of the spicy fried rice, and the sweet and spicy flavor of the spicy garlic noodles! Everything is vegan but you would never guess it based on how freaking yummy everything is!“
“Heng Heng Chicken Rice is a hidden gem known for its exquisite Hainanese Chicken and fragrant Garlic Rice. The tender, succulent chicken paired with aromatic garlic-infused rice creates a harmonious blend of flavors that delights the palate. With a friendly staff and a cozy ambiance, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Hainanese cuisine.“
“A very unique Thai restaurant that’s a cut above most others. Had the Jazz burger, which was originally made by the owner as an American-Thai dish for her children. It was very good and quite the experience. Would definitely come back again to try out more items on their massive menu.“
“We’ve been to many, many Thai restaurants in LA and this one is about to become our favorite! We had 3 dishes and they all were absolutely delicious. The satay chicken appetizer was the best one we ever had. You gotta try it. The vegetarian papaya salad was so good with just the right level of hotness we asked for and the chow menu with tofu was so delicious we licked it off the plate. Service was excellent and the place is warm and fun to be in. Highly recommended ❤️“
“My beef noodle spot for a couple of years now. I have to visit once a week if possible and I'm in Long Beach and have yet to find a better place in sevetal years! Highly recommended and their other food is amazing as well. I just can't get over how good the soup is so that's what I get every time now. It might seem like a strange location but don't let that stop you and you can thank me later. Enjoy“
“The 2024 Smorgasburg season kicked off today, 1/14/2024! While it is not close to me, I usually go at least once or twice a month. It's an ideal spot for outdoor dining with diverse culinary offerings, exploring distinctive shops, and soaking in a positive atmosphere.Smorgasburg LA is open every Sunday on the five-acre site of the weekday Alameda Produce Market in Downtown Los Angeles, which is part of a larger, new development called ROW DTLA.Each Sunday from 10 AM - 4 PM, you will find dozens of exciting food vendors plus sophisticated shopping from the realms of design, craft, style, vintage, wellness, and more. Cultural events, pop-ups, and other surprises transform the vast site into a new node in Downtown LA's burgeoning scene, and a unique destination for the area.Today, I tried Pad See Ew from the Radna Silom vendor. In terms of rating for that, I want to give it 4.5 stars due to price and portion ($15+tax and not much on the plate). I remember it being larger before.Overall, it is a must-check out for various foodie options.Tip:-Free 2 hr parking-Take your food outside of the main space and sit in the main ROW area-Go with others to try many things“
“One of our favorite Hollywood restaurants!! A hidden gem not to miss. Authentic thai cuisine at very reasonable prices.Have eaten for a couple decades in Thai Town but only went to Siam Sunset a few years ago. This was the first place I've ever eaten pad kra pao & it has become my favorite Thai dish! And Siam easily makes it the best!Only knock is there's no on site parking, but street parking is usually not too tough depending on the day. Still it's worth the walk.Would give it six stars if it were possible.“
“We love coming to this place for a Thai cuisine! I would say the service rates three out of five since they are so busy, and take quite a while to get you seated. However it's doesn't come as a surprise, the food is amazing. Typically always pair my curry or the pad sew with one of there Thai iced tea. Overall, this is the best Thai spot in Rosemead area. Atmosphere is cozy but definitely on the loud side your looking for a romantic spot this wouldn't be it. You“
“I've been coming here for 17+ years... this food feels like home. The owner makes me feel at home every time. I've come here feeling a bit under the weather and she took care of me and gave me some delicious soup! And I was cured instantly! She's got magic in her restaurant!!! Thank you for everything!!!“
“SERVICE is bitter here the servers have a this upset looking faces LOL. SMILE man!Food is EXCELLENT but due to service I don’t come here anymoreIt doesn’t fail, I have keep waiving to ask for everythingThey see you and ignore you!! NO BUENOI go to Central Thai and Hollywood Thai where servers are HAPPY“
“Fabulous restaurant and loved sitting at the kitchen counter watching all the action. The food was spectacular and watching the efficiency on how the Chef directed everyone was amazing. Having worked in the industry for 15 years and personally having managed restaurants, I was still blown away.“
“The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone at the party loved the food. The meat was super Tender and juicy. All the salads and bread was delicious. I’m so impressed with their service. I wish I took pictures of the presentation before we ate all the food.“
“It was my first time dining at Thai Central. It is a gem in East Hollywood for a Thai food. The food is very tasty. We ordered a few things, Kao Clook Ka phi, Boat noodle, and Papaya salad - the was delicious. And awesome service - from getting our order in and getting the food from the kitchen to our table. I like the cleanliness of the restaurant. We dropped the lid of something on the floor , and the server took the lid from us, he cleaned it and brought it back - impressive. Very nice and friendly servers, great food!“
“We came on a Sunday, it is somewhat busy. The location has a few small Thai stands. We ordered the mango sticky rice coconut cakes and green onion coconut cakes. They are $10 ( each has around 8 pieces ).The coconut cakes are sweet , creamy and flavorful, they made it right in front of you so they come out warm. The mango is sweet and not sour so we are satisfied. Remember to bring cash cause they accept cash & zelle. After they take your order, they give you a ticket and they make your food. You just need to bring that ticket to get your food. The wait is around 25 minutes for the food, and there are 3 long tables next to the stand so you can eat there. We walk around the Thai grocery store across the coconut cake stand when waiting for food.It is a nice place to experience some Thai coconut cakes! Would recommend this place.“
“I love the grilled sticky rice with taro wrapped in banana leaf. They have an amazing selection of taro, coconut, and pandan desserts. Vegetarian and vegan options available. There is a parking lot, but if it’s busy there are metered spots on the street.“
“Very inviting atmosphere, incredibly cozy. I'd love to take someone on a date here if I lived in the area. Great food, I've only been there once but I can vouch for their Tom Kha and their Spicy Basil. Very affordable for the area. Their bathroom is very small and placed at the back corner of their kitchen, you need to ask to go use it. Would love to come again.“
“This is by far the best Thai restaurant in the Greater Los Angeles area. The presentation of the food is always perfect, they use the freshest ingredients, and the staff is great. We can order the same dish every time & it always tastes amazing. We will literally order too much food just so we can have left overs... can't get enough of Yum Zaap!“
“A little pricey for what you get. Dude at the cashier is not friendly what so ever. After I paid for my to go order, the receipt printed out and he was standing there waiting for me to add a tip. Personally, if you want a tip, be polite and friendly. And I believe tips should be given if the service is great or if someone eats in and they have to clean up after them. Not just because.. again, I would have tipped if he was polite even though I’m taking it to goParking: Not much to talk about“
“Bulan is by FAR My All Time Favorite Place to EAT when I’m in LA??️? The food is Outstanding and Always on Par! I Highly recommend the Inferno Chicken, Yellow Curry w/chicken, and if you L?VE Peanut Sauce Definitely TRY “Under the Specials Dishes” Sizzling Pra Ram Also love the Hot Wings as an Appetizer! We Love You Bulan! We Will Always Be BACK & Always Recommend You! ??Vegetarian options: The Absolute Best Vegan THAI Food!!!“
“Unique menu with lots of variety, wonderful staff, and sweet atmosphere. You find a table and the order at the counter to have dishes brought to you. The staff is very accommodating for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free preferences. Some items are marked as such and you can ask for modifications of most dishes when you order. Loved all the drink options, with the choice of adding boba and swapping for non-dairy milk too. I found free street parking on Lucerne. Looking forward to returning.Vegetarian options: Very accommodating for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free preferences. “Friendly staff and good (and spicy!) food. It was not very busy despite it being a Saturday dinner night. The place is small but warm and welcoming. This place is known for its papaya salad, and it was pretty good!Parking: Parking in Thai Town can be difficult to find. Make sure to give yourself 5-10 mins to look for a spot.“
“I came to this place on a Thursday afternoon and let me tell you: I am a huge enthusiast of Thai food but it gets harder and harder by the day to pick up one spot that is above all of the others. This place is a strong contender for that first place, though: it has it all, reasonable prices, great food, amazing service and chill ambiance. The server was a woman with short hair and glasses who truly went above and beyond for us (I should have asked for her name but I forgot). Everything, including non-traditional items like fried shrimp cake was just cooked to perfection. It all came out quickly and piping hot. Parking was fantastic too. You can even street park by the 99 cents store and walk a little bit. Highly-recommended place!“
“Will definitely need to return and try their other dishes!!!This little gem sits in the corner of a fairly small shopping center.I tried their chicken pad Thai, and baby, when I tell you that their spice had my nose running. I choose 4 out of 5 spice level and I should have gone with 3 lol. I'm happy that when they Say spicy, they mean it. I've been to many places that claim spicy, but this one is legit.I went during the lunch special hour, which I believe runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The lunch special includes your choice of soup or salad, I chose the soup which was a fried egg soup, It was very delicious. My main course was the chicken pad Thai, and it was very tasty. You could actually taste and see the color of the sauce they use, the noodles were a dark brown. The chicken itself was tender, but, I believe they use chicken breast which runs a little on the dry side, but the amount of sauce they use makes up for it. I also ordered the Thai milk team, and it was divine. The portions were great, no complaints, this is definitely a deal. I will be returning to try other dishes. The staff were very friendly, and right away you notice that they are making an effort to be friendly with their clients. The waiter asked if this was my first time, which lets me know that they make an effort to remember their customers. Both waiters were very attentive, and even though they were somewhat busy, they ensured to follow up with me. I was so full after my meal, I did not have any room for dessert. But, hopefully next time!Parking isn't the most difficult, but it is limited in their parking lot. Luckily, there is residential parking adjacent to the restaurant. Just keep an eye out on the parking restrictions, you don't want a ticket. The restroom was very clean when I used it, and they had a scented candle that was lit.The restaurant itself was pretty small, and seating was a little bit tight, but you would comfortably be able to sit a table of four. But, that's also coming from someone who's fairly thin. Unfortunately, there is no outdoor seating. But, that's not a big deal.I highly recommend trying this place out, just keep in mind that their spicy is actually spicy lol. Also, their muscled up fortune kitty is hilarious, love it!. ?Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly as the restaurant is small and the takes are a bit close to each other.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, but not extremely easy.“
“Hands down some of the best Thai Food I've had throughout NorCal and SoCal. While I regret being so damn full every time I leave, I can confidently say I've enjoyed everything I've had. 5/5 - Pad See Ew Flavorful, great portions, and came out piping hot. They serve the spicy vinegar with it but you don't even need it, even when you get to the last 25%. 4.8/5 - Kwan's Pad Thai Girlfriend got this, was great. With or without lime, the flavor comes through and is delicious. Noodles were cooked well and when you take a bite with some Papaya Salad? Immaculate. 4.5/5 - Papaya Salad Yummy and spicy. No complaints here. 4/5 - Fried Shrimp Roles Damn good and just the right amount of crunchy. Portion size was quite generous too. 5/5 - Panang Curry SO GOOD. Not too sweet, not too savory and comes with just the right amount of rice. I got it with chicken but I'm curious how the other meat options would taste. My mouth is drooling a bit thinking about it. 4.5/4 - Chicken Satay Yum. Good with or without the peanut (?) like sauce. Chicken had a nice bite and was very soft on the inside. Comes on skewers so be careful not to stab your mouth as you inhale these. Longan Drink Hard to rate a drink but it was yummy. Not too sweet and had a good taste to it. A little pricey for how much you get but I'd say it was pretty worth. Service was pretty good with the staff being very attentive and coming around asking if you needed anything or had any questions. There was a family that obviously never had eaten Thai food before and it was sweet to see the server being very friendly with an explanation on the items. Definitely recommend coming here for a meal.“
“Excellent food! A wonderful family run restaurant. My whole family goes crazy for their crab Rangoon and shrimp and veggie tempura. The golden shrimp dumpling curry is also amazing. They just expanded the menu, very excited to try more dishes. Have never been disappointed, and very friendly staff and owners!Vegetarian options: Lots of dishes can be made with tofu“
“The food is delicious!! They have both burmese food and hot pot / dry pot hot. I tried the burmese food and dry hot pot and it was excellent! The restaurant is a passion project of the owner and it really shows, he just wants people to be able to have delicious burmese food, and he is proud of his heritage. all around awesome!“
“So damn good. Great after a walk around the Silverlake reservoir. We were able to walk in and get a table in their backyard seating without any reservation on a Thursday evening.Food was delicious although could be a bit spicier, loved the atmosphere out back.“
“A very small Thai restaurant but great food. There isn't a very big parking lot in the back but you can find parking nearby on the streets. There also isn't many tables inside so that is why the wait times get so long. Luckily, we came at a good time and didn't have to wait. The employees are friendly and have good service too.We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, chicken satay, khao soi. The satay was okay but I really liked the pad thai and pad see ew. However, the portions are a bit on the smaller side for the price. One dish is barely enough for one person. But I guess the size is good for trying different dishes with friends.“
“Hello! Well being that I have gone to Thailand, I think my review will be valid. First things first is the welcome value 5 stars. The most sincere and pleasant staff. Service time above average. Plating was very visually appealing. Had the lunch special eggplant. Was cooked to my perfection. Overall what was most important was the smiles. That is what made the experience a full star rating.“
“Excellent vegan food. I got the vegan pho, which was HUGE. Normally vegan pho comes with more vegetable in it and this one comes with only spinach, so I decided to order a side of steamed broccoli. But when the soup came, I was shocked at how big the portion was. To be honest I was starving and even then I could have not ordered the broccoli and been fine. There was plenty of spinach in the phon and it was packed full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. Parking was ok, I ended up parking on the residential street to the left of the restaurant because the lot seemed too packed directly in front of the restaurant.Vegetarian options: EverythingDietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“
“Ordered: Tofu pad thaiTotal came out to: $13.41 I ordered take out, but waited inside for my food. It felt really homey inside, and I liked how it clean it was. My pad thai came with a side of hot sauce and pickled jalepenos which were bomb!!! The pad thai itself had great flavor - not too salty, oily, or sweet. Also the nicest people working inside (': I think the pad thai was the best pad thai I've had in a wile, and I'm looking forward to ordering the egg rolls next!“
“One of the best original thai food places in East Hollywood, been coming here since 2005. I would recommend everything, their food is cooked with real thai ingredients and have stayed true to their recipes since then, love this place!Parking: Parking is shared with laundromat, but there’s plenty of parking on the street too.Kid-friendliness: They have high seats for kids. Friendly people.“
“10/10, I would recommend! It is lovely and the atmosphere is very positive! The decors and the unique dish specials it offers illustrate Thai cuisines with some modern innovations. The lunch special is unforgettable with exquisite tates and a variety of side dishes that come with it. Take a chance to eat the lunch specials before 3pm. It is about 11 dollars for the choice with a tea. It brought back memorable childhood memories! Try it with friends and loved ones!“
“Lovely lunch here, the space is pretty small so if you have a big group I would call ahead. Everything had lots of good flavor and spice! The staff member my friend and I interacted with was really nice and helpful! She had the Pad Thai and I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) then we split the Army of Veggie, portion sizes were great, entrees are big enough for 2 people to share. If you aren't a fan of spicy food I would recommend asking that the spice level on the Pad Kee Mow be knocked down but if you love spicy food it is perfect.A bonus was mentioning that I needed to make sure everything was gluten free as I have celiacs and the gentlemen said that all the sauces they make and use are gluten free to start so nothing needed to be modified! I didn't experience any kind of reaction afterwards and I can usually tell within 20 minutes or so!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly“
“Vibe: Cozy and clean, with a fresh feel.Service: Timely and friendly service added to the pleasant experience.Food: The yellow curry, white rice, mango sticky rice, and hot jasmine tea were delicious!General: Amazing value for the price, and parking was hassle-free.Conclusion: Overall, a fantastic dining experience with a cozy atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food, and great affordability. Highly recommended!“
“Drumsticks dinner was very tasty , good portion. Pepper steak my friend had was disgusting due to the sweet chilli sauce and hers was with grilled potatoes which weren’t properly grilled and she literally had like 5 slices:/ she left the restaurant hungry. Waiter didnt even commented on her leaving this steak untouched… plus I was charged $4 for thai tea(which is far too sweet , didnt like it) and it was happy hour $3“
“Authentic Thai food brought to me by my younger brother and his wife.I thought it was okay, but when I tried to order spicy tom yum kung, I was told not to order it, so I decided to go for mild.I ordered the other spicy dishes, which brought sweat and tears to my eyes. After all, when you order Thai food from someone from Thailand, it's fun because there are lots of delicious dishes on the table. Although I ordered a lot of things, I was so absorbed in eating that I almost forgot to take pictures, which I regret. It is recommended shop.“
“"Hidden gem" definitely describes Eden Thai. It's an unassuming little restaurant, but absolutely worth supporting. The food is great for the price (the pineapple fried rice is my personal favorite), and they have free delivery available. The owners are very sweet as well. Now that the pandemic is over, this place deserves a good update in interior decor to really get people to come in and stay for indoor dining!“
“Upon stumbling upon this charming little hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the owner and promptly seated. After perusing the menu, we decided to start our culinary adventure with the Crispy Rolls priced at $11. These fried spring rolls filled with glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and taro, served with a delightful sweet and sour sauce, were a vegan delight. For our main courses, we indulged in the flavorful Pat Thai priced at $15, featuring rice noodles with beef, eggs, bean curd, sweet radish, bean sprouts, and green onions, all topped with roasted peanuts. Our second entrée was the Suji Dry priced at $17, a generous portion of glass noodles stir-fried with chicken, garlic, celery, carrots, Napa cabbage, and onions, tossed in a savory Japanese Sukiyaki sauce. The portion sizes were surprisingly large, easily satisfying two people per plate and proving to be great value for the price. The restaurant exuded a cozy, homely ambiance that instantly put us at ease. The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the soothing background music, enhanced our dining experience. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be shared with others seeking a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings in the future.Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes if not all can be eaten without and meat.Parking: There are paid parking or free parking less than block away.“
“When we walked we got off to a rough start when it took a little while to be seated. There are signs that ask patrons to be patient, which sets up your expectations. The ladies working there are so cute and very welcoming. They hustled and were kind and polite. We ordered Pad Si Ewe and Satay and both were flavorful and delicious. We also ordered mango with sticky rice, which came with a huge portion. I have no words on how good the food was! Great place would go again.“
