“Easily the best wine list in Alhambra and possibly the SGV and Pasadena area. If you're looking for a curated wine list with excellent European and American options served alongside a stacked food menu this is your spot. It's not cheap but the quality of the food and service is well worth the price. We've needed elevated dining in Alhambra for years and we finally have it with Yang's.“
“A David Chang restaurant in LA. I've been to his Momofuku restaurant in NYC and loved it so I naturally had to try Majordomo. You have to plan ahead to reserve the short rib special and it is amazing. They cut it tableside and serve it lettuce, kitchen, and radishes. Such a good balance of flavors but the prime rib by itself is very flavorful and smoky. The Bing is also a must with the cultured butter and honey. This is seriously addictive. We also had the mussels with the crispy rice which was also delicious.Overall, the vibe of the restaurants was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.“
“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“
“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.“
“We really liked the food! Both got noodles, one street noodle with chicken and one pad see ew with chicken. Prices are super reasonable and the food tastes good, especially compared to some of the other options in the area. Excited to try more of their food. Chill music and good service. Nice casual option.“
“ButtonMash is the epitome of a gamer's paradise blended with delicious food and drinks. From the moment we stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere was palpable, with the sounds of laughter and the clinking of glasses mingling with the cheerful beeps and boops of arcade games. Our experience at ButtonMash was elevated by our incredible waitress, Victoria, whose warmth and charisma made us feel right at home. Despite the bustling crowd, Victoria ensured that our needs were met promptly, adding an extra touch of magic to my birthday celebration. The menu at ButtonMash is a delightful fusion of mouthwatering dishes and drinks, perfectly complementing the nostalgic ambiance. Whether you're craving classic comfort food or innovative culinary creations, there's something for every palate. But what truly sets ButtonMash apart is its impressive array of video games and pinball machines, transporting guests back to the golden age of arcade gaming. From iconic classics to modern favorites, there's no shortage of entertainment to accompany your meal and drinks.Overall, ButtonMash exceeded our expectations in every aspect, from the exceptional service to the delectable fare and endless gaming fun. Whether you're a hardcore gamer or simply looking for a unique dining experience, ButtonMash is the ultimate destination for food, drinks, and play.“
“Nice service and really good vegan food. We had 'sumo sushi burrito' and 'naughty fries'.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan..Parking: No street parking on the street but around, paid parking right next the restaurant.“
“Server (I forgot to ask her name) made sure we get the best experience and food to eat. Thank you!Timuay Tri-beef and Adobo is a must try! Bibingka cornbread and ube flan.Parking would be a challenge (street parking). If you're looking for good Filipino food, this place is worth the visit! We will definitely be back for their microbrews (and food)Added to favorites :)“
“It's been some years since I last dined at Shiro, and I was so delighted that it has fully maintained its superlative status as a first rate restaurant experience on every level. Shiro offers casually elegant dining in a handsome, intimate and stylish storefront in a historic district in South Pasadena. The French-Asian menu offers amazing creations and flavors that will entice and satisfy. My husband had an appetizer consisting of the plumpest, most tasty pan-fried oysters imaginable, as well as a wonderfully seasoned uni pasta. I had sea bass in a rich sauce over Japanese eggplant. The service is impeccable, from the initial greeting and seating to the server and helpers. It is friendly, caring and professional. We will certainly not wait years until our next visit.“
“Incredible food! Wonderful welcoming service and food was quickly delivered. Chic and fun atmosphere, and very clean. Everything was so good, but make sure to also ask for the garlic chili oil and chili powder if you want to kick up the spicy and garlic flavor a notch! I loved the basil flavor of the spicy fried rice, and the sweet and spicy flavor of the spicy garlic noodles! Everything is vegan but you would never guess it based on how freaking yummy everything is!“
“The food at Henry's restaurant is delicious, with top-quality ingredients. You can't get enough of the Vietnamese lobster noodles, and the beef tenderloin melts in your mouth. It never disappoints. You can try it, you will definitely like it!“
“How could I forget about this beautiful restaurant for months since my first visit with girl friends last September? I am so glad I suddenly remember this restaurant last Saturday, the first day of the Chinese new year! The interior decoration is perfect for Chinese new year! This is My family's first time visit! They all love it! Perfect for pictures! It is a shame for not many people knowing this place, because they are only two tables occupied during our 1.5 hour visit. The only waitress is Miss Iris from Taipei. She is super nice and friendly! Fortunately, when we left, there were two parties coming in! We love the food maybe because the owner and the chef are from my hometown Taiwan, according to the waitress! The presentation is so beautiful! Perfect for my Facebook postings! I already told my college girlfriends about our next reunion location! Here! Perfect for our group pictures!“
“Super sweet owners and incredibly fresh sashimi. I got the 19 piece platter and was very happy with my meal. This place is a gem. When I went in, I noticed that the owners greeted everyone extremely warmly and had a bunch of regulars coming back. The auntie working the front of the house made me feel like I’m family eating at her house ^____^Definitely give this place a try!!!“
“Really fresh tasting and good flavors.I got the large short ribs with egg noodles and baby bok choy. For $14 I thought the portions were really good, they didnt skimp on the meat and the noodles and vegetables made it a full meal. The bok choy in particular tasted very fresh like it came straight from the farm. Friendly employees who I think are also owners, she gave us a free water to go along with the Coke I ordered. Tiny little place, has a couple of tables outside, a few parking places of their own.“
“Stopped at the Burbank location during the wine walk in November and it was amazing and just what I needed. The fish was fresh and I got the burrito and usually I get the bowl but I wanted to eat and walk and it worked out great and tasted fresh and “
“The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone at the party loved the food. The meat was super Tender and juicy. All the salads and bread was delicious. I’m so impressed with their service. I wish I took pictures of the presentation before we ate all the food.“
“This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. Tucked inside a hotel you wouldn't know about this place but I am glad my friend found it. We now made it a yearly thing to come back here and have dinner here now“
“One of the most unique flavors in the area and done well! We've been here several times and recommend to friends visiting or anyone wanting to try something new.PARKING / ARRIVAL / VIBE:Two small lots are available for customers and street parking if those are full. When you walk in you see white cloth tables and some paper on top of those and pretty multicolored lighting, with TV screens and music playing traditional views and tunes. We arrived about an hour before closing (group of 5 on a Friday evening) and were seated promptly, and it was busy! We were there to chat and dine so got comfortable. Menu has traditional options, appetizers, entrees, vegetarian, desserts, and drinks (in particular they have traditional teas!).SERVICE:Our servers were friendly and efficient, making sure all is good, plates are cleared, all that good stuff with making you feel welcome!FOOD:Fresh and arrived as they are ready. The SHREDDED POTATO was excellent! Potato slivers soaked in flavor, not too spicy and just the right amount of tangy, so good. The large BONELESS BIG PLATE CHICKEN is indeed large and heaped in a mound of chicken and potato chunks atop large flat noodles with sauce; a staple order and the chicken toothsome and flavorful. The LAGHMAN hand pulled noodles with stir fried peppers and beef has a wonderful flavor and the noodles are very springy, you can even see the slight difference of thickness which proves they are hand pulled. the PEARLED NOODLES are kind of like a chopped version of the LAGHMAN - spoonfuls of beefy and chewy noodle goodness, kind of like a rich pasta dish! I would recommend all four of these dishes, they are the perfect size and amount for 5 people.Dessert: their BAKLAVA is one of the best I've had, lots of layers that shatter through to plenty of pistachio filling, nutty and not too sweet like a lot of other baklavas! Delicious end to a delicious meal :)So glad they're in the area and will always recommend this place to friends (or take them here!).“
“Unique menu with lots of variety, wonderful staff, and sweet atmosphere. You find a table and the order at the counter to have dishes brought to you. The staff is very accommodating for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free preferences. Some items are marked as such and you can ask for modifications of most dishes when you order. Loved all the drink options, with the choice of adding boba and swapping for non-dairy milk too. I found free street parking on Lucerne. Looking forward to returning.Vegetarian options: Very accommodating for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free preferences. Some items are marked as such and you can ask for modifications of most dishes when you orderDietary restrictions: Very accommodating for vegan and gluten-free preferences - just ask for modifications when you orderParking: Free street parking on Lucerne“
“Spectacular vibes! Came here with a somewhat large party to watch the UFC fight and celebrate a friend's birthday. They were so accommodating. Even the patrons and customers that frequent this place are great. Everyone is super chill and friendly. The food was great too. 10/10!“
“First time visitor. Absolutely happy with food, service and clean environment. Passing through Pasadena looking for lunch, lucked up on this eatery, caddy corner from Pasadena City College. Limited free parking in the rear and limited parking on the street. Food tasty and freshly prepared. Our server Aida was super attentive. I believe anything ordered would be satisfying. Hope to return there one day.Parking: Limited“
“Awesome little hidden gem in the Eagle Rock plaza, everything we got was so good, very fresh and came out pretty quickly too. Highly recommend the popcorn lobster appetizer, and any rolls/sushi/sashimi you get you can't go wrong with!!“
“So damn good. Great after a walk around the Silverlake reservoir. We were able to walk in and get a table in their backyard seating without any reservation on a Thursday evening.Food was delicious although could be a bit spicier, loved the atmosphere out back.“
“We were a party of three. Place was not too busy. Our food came out great. Here is what I got. Classic pho soup and an order of wings. The wings did not disappoint. It would have been nice to have been checked on more throughout our meal. We had to flag down our server. Would definitely come back in the future.Parking: I found a valet attendant at the back of the building. He said he does not make an hourly wage, just off of tips. I gave that man $10.Kid-friendliness: I saw a family in here so there was that.“
“I have been on the hunt for good/decent boba in Burbank. I think this place is it. They have tacos, croissant sandwiches, bowls, ice cream and boba drinks. The best part is that everyday from 5p-8p drinks are buy one get one half off. That is a deal!!I had the blended tiger milk tea and the blended Thai tea. Both were good. The tiger milk tea was creamy enough so I enjoyed that a lot. The Thai tea wasn't too bad either. I will be back to try their other drinks on the menu.“
“Can’t express how delicious the food is here without just giving you a bite. The food is amazing, the staff is nothing but kind and compassionate. The food comes out really quickly, and they have a wide array of vegetarian and vegan options. Please come here if you’re craving Thai food in Burbank. Can’t recommend this place enough.Vegetarian options: I’m vegetarian and I felt that the menu was catered to both meat eaters and plant eaters.“
“Upon stumbling upon this charming little hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the owner and promptly seated. After perusing the menu, we decided to start our culinary adventure with the Crispy Rolls priced at $11. These fried spring rolls filled with glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and taro, served with a delightful sweet and sour sauce, were a vegan delight. For our main courses, we indulged in the flavorful Pat Thai priced at $15, featuring rice noodles with beef, eggs, bean curd, sweet radish, bean sprouts, and green onions, all topped with roasted peanuts. Our second entrée was the Suji Dry priced at $17, a generous portion of glass noodles stir-fried with chicken, garlic, celery, carrots, Napa cabbage, and onions, tossed in a savory Japanese Sukiyaki sauce. The portion sizes were surprisingly large, easily satisfying two people per plate and proving to be great value for the price. The restaurant exuded a cozy, homely ambiance that instantly put us at ease. The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the soothing background music, enhanced our dining experience. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be shared with others seeking a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings in the future.Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes if not all can be eaten without and meat.Parking: There are paid parking or free parking less than block away.“
“Oi has been a local favorite for us for a while now! It’s so nice to have yummy Filipino food nearby— I’ve tried several of the bowls and have loved all of them.Today I went in and ordered food to go, and then stopped by the boba place next door while waiting for my food. I didn’t even mention where I was going, but a few minutes later someone from Oi peeked their head in to see if I was there and brought me my food. Needless to stay, the staff goes above and beyond. I’d had a tough morning and that little thoughtful act really brightened my day.“
“JS Foothill Restaurant is a hidden gem for dim sum enthusiasts and lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. First and foremost, let's talk about the fried rice - it's exceptional! Each grain is perfectly cooked and infused with flavors that dance on your palate with every bite. Whether you opt for the classic vegetable fried rice or indulge in the decadent seafood version, you're in for a treat. Now, onto the dim sum. From the delicate shrimp dumplings to the savory shumai, each dim sum dish flavors burst in your mouth. But wait, there's more! The garlic broccoli is a must-try side dish. Crisp, vibrant broccoli florets are tossed in a delectable garlic sauce has perfect balance of flavors. Overall, JS Foothill Restaurant exceeds expectations in every aspect. Whether you're a dim sum connoisseur or simply craving delicious Chinese cuisine, JS Foothill Restaurant is the place to be.“
“Their soy garlic is real good here. We ordered the group meal, which came with wings and drumsticks, and 2 sides. Only the wings come with sauce but you can dip the crispy drumsticks in the extra sauce for more soy garlic goodness.Service is great. Seating is limited inside and outside. There’s free parking in their lot and on the streets.“
“There’s something about Thai food where even when you don’t know what you want to eat, Thai food will always hit the spot, and so will Daisy Mint. I usually get the drunken noodle with shrimp, green curry with veggies, and the crying tiger.“
“I love Oishi Sushi! Their sushi, sashimi and rolls are melt in your mouth! Please get their Rising Hamachi roll, Salmon carpaccio and Seared Albacore with Crispy onion! Their sushi are all delicious especially the jumbo scallop! Great service as well. Can’t wait to come back!“
“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots.“
“The good : I love how they went for a chic yet street food aesthetic for their restaurant. I think it really emulates Chinese food which definitely plays into the experience of eating here. The portions and platings were very good and we were able to try many dishes. With that said I think the food was just okay. The Mid : Maybe it's because I am Chinese so I've tasted better Chinese food before so that's why I wasn't super impressed. I will say tho I really liked the fried rice because they added the Chinese sausage to it which makes the taste really authentic keke. There definitely is better and Chinese food in the LA area because they definitely are a western twist. but I do think the ambiance makes up for the lack of an oomph factor in the flavors and I also wish they cut back on the oil a little.“
“On our last day in LA we decided to visit Filipinotown to have some Filipino food and we stumbled upon HiFi and boy do we not regret coming by. Food was simply incredible, the flavor was perfect and hands down best Filipino food we’ve tried. Don’t think twice and come in and have some great food!! You need to order their Pandan Horchata drink, soo good!“
“Food was great. It had been a couple years since we were last here. I usually have the Ribeye but I decided to have the salmon which was excellent. They sous vide it. Great. Other parties had Duck and Filet Mignon. Both excellent. Cocktails were small but potent. We were celebrating a birthday & there was a complimentary dessert & champagne . Prices are at fine dining status $$$.“
“Excellent authentic Japanese izakaya restaurant. The biggest saba (grilled mackerel) I've ever seen! Huuuuge. I had the katsu - excellent. My daughter had the BBQ beef skirt teriyaki and I tried a piece and it was delicious. Service was awesome too. The couple who I believe own/run the place were super nice and gracious. A big TV with NBA basketball on - what more could you ask for?“
“We love the food and the couple that owns the restaurant. They are friendly hard working people.Parking: The parking is in the back. They have about 3 or 4 spots available. But there is free street parking in the front and a free parking lot that is walking distance with plenty of parking spots available usually.Kid-friendliness: They are kid and family friendly. Our kids love the farfalle pasta, and our waitress.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp from the parking lot to the restaurant, great for wheelchairs and strollers. They have enough space in the restaurant to fit with a stroller without being an inconvenience to others.“
“10/10 service :)Incredibly kind and generous staff. We ordered pineapple fried rice and forgot to mention our party had a peanut allergy. They immediately replaced it without hesitation which they did not need to since it was our mistake for forgetting to mention it.The food was delicious without it being overly salty. It also felt like the ingredients were fresh and cleaner than most!Environment was really clean and cute. It would be a great spot for those with allergies or food sensitivities because it feels like they put an emphasis on cleanliness. Bonus: we came on a friday and they had live music. Love!Dietary restrictions: Peanut allergy“
“Glad to finally try this place and I am very pleased with our experience. Quite unexpected due to location but the food and service were amazing. We enjoyed the fresh sashimi and all the Izakaya we ordered in the picture. I will come back to this place for sure.“
“Don’t know if it’s authentic but it is delicious. We orderedgochujang sauce chicken wingsStirfried kimchi pork w/ steamed tofuWings were crunchy outside and soft inside. Just the way it should be. Everything just melted in your mouth.Kimchi pork was something new we tried. Not spicy but still flavourful.Would definitely visit again. Also, the valet guy outside is a scam and people who work here at Louders saved us and got the car from that valet guy.“
“The SPICY SOPPRESSATA pizza is so delicious! The soppressata is so flavorful and the spicy chili crunch adds the perfect amount of heat. The crust is also perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I highly recommend this pizza to anyone who loves spicy food! You won't be disappointed!“
“All the sushi and rolls are the best!!!The sushi is fresh and the technique is good and the rolls are tasty and fresh enough on their own without the sauce.Recommended to everyone who loves sushi and rolls.I also praise the kindness of the owner and staff.“
“The atmosphere is really good! How they great you at the door is awesome. They have really quick sushi rolls and the presentation is beautiful. I only rated the food a four because they recycle a lot of rolls what I mean by this is the menu is basically all the same with one change to a roll here and there. I think more flavor options and diversifying the menu would serve wonders. It wouldn’t keep me from this place, the classics are always good“
“This place is definitely worth the drive to Lincoln Heights. The food is reasonably priced, well seasoned, and nice portions. I've had the tofu bowl more times than I care to admit. Highly recommend. There is indoor and outdoor sitting available.“
“Really like this little place - kind of our favorite thai restaurant in burbank - friendly service and good food, but...takeout is served in NON-RECYCLABLE plastic - I'm gonna have to try and find another place just 'cause of this. Wish they would use more eco-friendly packaging!“
“This vietnamiese restraunt has lots of delicious food and the presentation of the food is just fantastic! I would highly reccomend the vermicelli bowl and please try their Thai tea! Probably the best Thai tea I ever had ☺️Vegetarian options: Salad rolls , mango sticky rice“
“One of the better hotpot places locally and possibly a new favorite. Ingredients are fresh and the sauce bar has a plethora of snack choices. Although not all you can eat, the prices are very fair and surprisingly low for such quality.Service was pretty fast. The atmosphere is historic in a very cozy way.“
“This Thai spot is phenomenal. The owner cooks food that is authentic, plated beautifully, and unapologetically flavorful. Each bite is a time travel bomb that takes me back to the time I was gorging myself at street food vendor stalls in Bangkok. The location is within an office space area used for AA and community meetings. It comes across humble and the dining area is separate from the actual community building space. The tables are clean and extremely well kept. The owner clearly pays attention to detail when it comes to maintaining her dining area and silverware/cutlery. The owner herself is very accommodating and welcoming. She takes the time to answer questions about the menu and offers adjustments to spice levels if needed. She also cooks and serves all the food herself with the help of one other individual in the back kitchen, so patience is key but completely worth the time investment. The food was so outrageously delicious I didn't have time to take more pics the first time I went. It was so good in fact, I came back immediately the next day to try the crab fried rice pictured below. The serving sizes are generous and the spice and flavor is second to none. I'm so impressed with how high quality all the dishes are and everything tastes so impeccably fresh. Crab fried rice - the crab meat is legitimately fresh and generously portioned. The rice is well seasoned and the veggies mixed in with the egg are a perfect compliment to the crab. I really enjoyed this dish and it comes with a side of spicy seasoning sauce you can add to kick up the heat a notch. Crying Tiger - not pictured below, but man what a stand out dish. The flavor of the rib eye pieces are so well balanced and the dipping sauce for the meat is so distinct it really adds depth to the rice and salad accompaniments. I really enjoyed the dressing on the salad as well, and the amount again did not disappoint. I have nothing but overall praise to give this place and I know I will be frequenting this spot often for the foreseeable future.“
“Their poke bowls are pretty good. I just wish they would add a little more raw fish and use tastier imitation crab. I also think they need to cover their toppings, as they’re exposed to air and not very sanitary. But, I like the fact that it’s quick to order and easy to customize my poke bowl.“
