“First trip here was so fun , it was busy and it seemed a little short staffed today. However our waitress Carli (I believe was her name I was a little tipsy lol) but omg she was so kind, organized and helpful in spite of how busy it was she was holding it down. She was also patient and kind. We are thankful to be treated well while dining out in new areas and trying new things. The food was tasty and fresh no regrets !“

“Having lived in Haiti for several years, I have missed the food and the people. Caribbean Pleasures is LEGIT! From the ambiance to the authentic food (like my Haitian mother-in-law used to make!) to the very friendly family who owns and runs the place. We will be back - again and again!“

“So happy I was able to experience this lovely cafe. The gentleman behind the bar was there was so pleasant. He answered all of my questions and engaged with each customer in a such caring manner. For dinks they had coffee, regular kombucha, and hemp infused kombucha. (There were probably more options but that's what I saw)Both flavors of the hemp infused kombucha were delicious. That was my first time having hemp kombucha and it totally relaxed my mind and body. I ordered 2 Jamaican patties cabbage & tofu. I had to wait a while because they were being made fresh. When they came out both were so delicious they were seasoned, soft, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. My picky 5 year old loved the tofu patty. This is the best cafe I've ever been to. It's afrocentric, healthy, and everything is of the highest quality!“

“I recently visited Coco Maya from out of state. I have to say the service and food I received was absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and even the Manager stopped by my table to say HI and make sure all my needs were met. I would highly recommend this place. I have been raving to all my friends about how great the food and service were. If I ever come back to San Diego I will definitely be eating here again.“

“This place was a big of a hidden gem - the service was incredible for fast casual and the empanadas and beans and rice were probably the best we have had - cooked perfectly and so well seasoned. We also loved the Ropa Vieja. Also don't miss the Cuban coffee and a cinnamon roll!“
