“This is my favorite Mediterranean food place. You get so much food for the price you pay for. I always get the rice bowls half gyro and half steak shawarma. All the toppings are included in the price! I always recommend this place when people want Mediterranean food in San Diego.“
“Been going here for years and it never disappoints. The veggie combo platter is my staple order as it offers a wide variety of vegetarian dishes in one plate such as falafels, hummus, dolmas, spanakopita, etc. You also can't go wrong with their gyro sandwich special. Their French fries are surprisingly pretty solid - crispy and thick cut. They renovated the inside some time ago so it looks so much nicer. Plenty of patio seating is available as well. The service is usually pretty good. They can get quite busy so it's best to have your order ready to go before you get to the counter!“
“This restaurant offers affordably priced Mediterranean food in the heart of pricy La Jolla's shopping district. I have recently enjoyed meals there on two separate occasions, and found the food good, the wait time reasonable, and the service friendly.“
“My favorite location! The service, the ambiance and the food is always amazing. The team at this location is wonderful. You are always greeted with a smile and they go above and beyond. You'll always find this location very clean and comfortable, while enjoying a delicious meal.“
“We love love love Luna Grill. We order from this location all the time. The food is always fresh, prepared well and tastes great. The service is top notch. I've honestly never seen a place run so well with workers so polite from the moment you walk in to the moment they say goodbye.“
“This was amazing! I wish I had took pictures but it was too good to wait. The gyro is so unique, yet the best gyro I have ever had. The orange juice is very good. The service was amazing. Medina was so hospitable. We will be back every time I am in San Diego. Hvala!!!“
“1st time at this place, we were greeted by the owner as soon as we walked in. He was very attentive and genuinely nice and wholesome. The food was amazing and fresh, saw the owner and employee making everything to order from where we were sitting. Will be back many times, I'm sure, seeing as it's 5 minutes away from my office of business and the 5 star quality of service and food“
“Talk about great service and food!! Litzy and Emily were amazing. They gave us great recommendations about which foods are delicious and it didn't not disappoint. The loaded fries were bomb dot com!!!!! Thank you Litzy and Emily I'll be coming back in future for sure!“
“Not only does this Luna Grill serve outstanding food, but its service is above and beyond. When a server realized that a small item had been left out of our curbside delivery, she chased us down to be sure we got it. We really appreciated her effort, and we loved the meal of flat grilled chicken, rice, hummus, flatbread, carrots and tzatziki. Just delicious! Thanks, Luna Grill!“
“I've been coming to this restaurant for decades. The location and staff have changed over the years, but still the same great owners. The staff is still friendly and attentive. This is a casual yet somewhat upscale feeling spot, and it has wonderful Greek food. Some of the best gyros, avgolemono soup, and lemon chicken around. I've never had anything I'd didn't like here. Good breakfasts too! There are some outdoor tables in front, an enclosed patio that isn't quite outdoors, but it has really good airflow, so you get a quasi-alfresco feel dining out there, and the interior has a nice warm, homey kind of ambiance.I love Olympic!Parking: They have their own lot in front, plus a few spots on each side and in the backWheelchair accessibility: It's all level, no steps“
“We have wanted to find a Greek restaurant in downtown, and it was quite hard until a neighbor told us about this place. This restaurant is outstanding!! Rosalie is very pleasant, makes amazing cocktails and knows everyone. Authentic Greek food and apps is why we continue to come back to this place.“
“Feels more like a 3.75 than a 4 but I round up. I feel like this place is the epitome of fine. Had the lunch special - I wish they were just a little more flexible w the side or at least as much as they were about the drink (appreciate I could get water not soda). The pork gyro (credit where it's due I've never seen this before anywhere) was tasty enough, the veggies were fresh and the bought pita was well heated. But honestly it wasn't anything special - tasted like carnitas in a flatbread and nothing particularly stood out. My wife's chicken gyro ironically was better tasting but still was just fine, nothing special. Feel like if I worked near here I'd visit from time to Time but if you're not in the area I don't think this place is worth a drive. It's a neighborhood Greek place, reasonable prices, decent food but not really only for people nearby.“
“WoW! I so love everything about this lovely restaurant. It is above and beyond expectations for Pacific Beach. Yes, food and ambiance but customer service is absolutely the finest. I have been going there for many years. It keeps getting better! Joe is now doing much of the management for his father. (the owners : ). I've watched him grow the business with the intelligence and passion of a young Bishops to USC business grad. Example: Tonight he was superb in handling a minor situation about my purse being on a chair next to me. The restaurant, (my neighborhood "Go To") was quite busy, and yet Joe took the time to ask me for input about where he should place hooks for women's purses. Simple problem, simple solution. Just a matter of good communication. Lovely Happy Hour food, wonderful clientele to chat with and exceptional service. Our community needs you!!!“
“4.5 stars. This is a great fusion of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine. On a Sat afternoon, it wasn't too busy but if the parking lot in front of it is packed, parking could be a problem.I got 3 Shack tacos with gyro, chicken shawarma and the falafel, the shawarma wrap with their spiciest sauces, and a bunch of toppings including the jalapenos, and the side of falafel. The tacos were the best of them all - falafel then gyro then chicken shawarma. The gyro was a little too salty for my liking but the chicken shawarma didn't have enough spice on it, so that's why I preferred the gyro to the shawarma. The falafel was easily the best of them all as the falafel was soft and crunchy and actually complimented the tabouli salad, feta and the tzatziki sauce. The tacos are corn tortillas but they feel a little more like rotis. The wrap was very filling. It wasn't as spicy as I would've liked despite choosing the spiciest sauces and the jalapenos. The side of falafel was very tasty. The falafel wasn't too dry but not too oily.I had initially decided to give them 5 stars. However, I had to downgrade to 4.5 stars because the tortilla and the wrap got really soggy very quickly. So, they fell apart more quickly than I would've liked. The salty gyro and not so spicy chicken shawarma were my other reasons.I loved my whole experience and I will definitely be back to eat more of your shack tacos for sure!“
“Love this place I have been coming here since 2000, I am happy it's lasted this long, the food is amazing, very authentic, super affordable and great Greek seasoning. I have yet to find a place in San Diego that can match here. They have lots and lots of awards, sometimes every year. I definitely recommend it. Right in the heart of Hillcrest it's got great staff clean bathrooms and a great view of the street with it's big glass windows. Anyone who's giving a bad review doesn't know what Greek food is. Go here it's fantastic!!! Super yummy! Thank you to the owner for always being speedy and giving me great food all these years!“
“Service is excellent! Went for dinner with three other women and we felt very welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. Food came out so fast and was delicious! We sat in their covered outdoor space which was super cute! Prices are very reasonable. I recommend this place for great Greek food and great service.“
“Great restaurant. Relatively quick service (~5 mins for one sandwich). Like someone else mentioned, it smells great as soon as you walk in. Patient and polite service as I needed a few minutes to look over the menu. While large menus can be a bad sign, you can see them making everything fresh to order. I got the Reuben and it had a lot of meat, great bread, great sauerkraut. Definitely will return“
“Let me start off by saying that Jill is amazing. My family came in hungry and happy - ready to eat. She welcomed us with a smile and the service didn't stop there. Once our food came she checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and the ambiance was perfect.“
“My friend is a regular at this place and finally I decided to try it for myself. We went here around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night, they close at 10:00.We ordered two breakfast Gyros with a side of fries. Apparently, this is on their secret menu, and I highly recommend it! If you love any type of breakfast foods it's similar to breakfast burrito but with gyro. Jam packed with flavor. Made fresh to order. Also, the fries are perfectly salted, crunchy, and soft.It was a great meal. I live right around the corner, so I definitely will be returning customer.“
“It all started with the Gyro and have been returning ever since I can remember. Great family-owned spot with excellent food for the price and friendly customer service that will keep you coming back for more. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!“
“Really delicious and fresh food! The chicken kabob was cooked to perfection, tender with the right amount of flavor. The salad was fresh and simple and great dressing, seemingly made fresh, as was the hummus. The chicken shawarma wrap was delicious, my partner who was not previously a Mediterranean fan now sees the appeal (win!)We live in town so will definitely be coming here again for our Greek fix.“
“This is a lovely place to have a great meal and sit down with family. The owner is friendly and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. The food is delicious, my kids love it too, and you know how hard it is to please kids. We will be coming back again and again.“
“Culinary gem that never fails to impress!!As a devout fan of Mediterranean cuisine, I can confidently say that this restaurant is unrivaled in its offerings.Every visit to Micheline’s Pita House is a feast for the senses. The food, without fail, is consistently fresh and bursting with flavor. The homemade hummus truly steals the show. Creamy, smooth, and packed with flavor. Paired with warm pita bread or fries it's a match made in culinary heaven.Whether you're dining in with friends or enjoying a solo meal, you'll always feel welcomed by the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. In a city known for its diverse culinary scene, this restaurant stands out as a shining star for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine. If you find yourself in San Diego craving an authentic and delicious dining experience, look no further. You won't be disappointed!“
“One of my favorite spots in Carmel Valley. Their pitas are amazing! Located in the Sky Deck, so you get the vibe but without the long restaurant wait.Vegetarian options: They have a a few dishes with vegetarian options that are super yummy.“
“The food is delicious. The gyros sandwiches are wonderful. Fresh and delicious. The feta fries were yummy too. Ordering was good. Food delivery was .... The food came out separately. Everything was ordered at once but each entree arrived 3-5 minute apart. 1 of the entrees was very different than ordered. They didn't seem to care that it wasn't correct. Everyone's food got cold waiting for everything to arrive. They'd deliver 1 item to one table and 2 to another. Usually each table is served in full. This was very confusing to me. And the tzatziki ordered (and we paid $1.50 for each tablespoon size serving) had to be asked for repeatedly. The order of feta fries that used to come on a big plate were now in a tiny basket. Maybe 15 fries for $6.95. Very disappointing. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady there said I could speak to her. I had already spoken to her and wanted to get a different opinion on the size of the fry order. It was very different than when I had been there prior. I keep coming back because the food is so good. But each time I leave I'm not happy on how hard it was to get the food. The service isn't bad, but it has some definite room for improvement. I'm frustrated but the food tastes so good.“
“If you love Greek food, you're going to love this great restaurant in the Gas Lamp Quarter, San Diego CA. We were there in April 2024. A group of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Generous portions so don't over order lol or you will have leftovers. We all had different appetizers and all had the Saganaki (flame ?) cheese. Mmmmmmm good! The tzatziki is amazing! Like home made, just perfect! Greek and Village ? salads are fresh and include a tone of Feta cheese! We also had the meatballs, the lemon potatoes, and of course the Souvlaki!!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant. When we were there it wasn't too busy, but reservations are recommended. We stayed at the Margaritaville Hotel which was a 30 second walk, close to the Baseball Petco Stadium ?️. Great service from all the staff, very helpful, welcoming and cheerful. We all had a great time and would eat here again for sure!“
“Kabob House is hard to beat! Their service is quick and the food is amazing. My sister and I both got the beef kabob plate. The kebab was juicy and flavorful, the rice was delicious, and the tabbouleh was very fresh! This is my new spot for a quick fix of mediterranean food in San Diego.“
“I come to this location once a week and the service here is incredible. Saul and Hector are always super welcoming and friendly. I love their Lemon Garlic Chicken plate with white rice, hummus and an extra order of pita bread. Healthy and delicious food on the go! Thank you Luna Grill Liberty Station for always providing a great experience.“
“What's there to say, the food is amazing and so consistent, I always order the chicken kabob or sirloin kabob plate with herb rice, the hummus and pita is amazing. I must say the best part of the experience is the gals at the front, Jacky is so sweet and always has a smile on her face. Will go back for sure and next will be the La Jolla location. Thanks Jacky:)“
“Grilled shrimp bowl with herb rice was excellent. Fresh ingredients and robust flavors. Portions were normal sized and I got enough to make me happy and full. There is some seating inside (4 tables), but also a nice courtyard outside for additional seating. Friendly and courteous service.“
“Good value! Food was reasonably priced and very tasty. Customer service was very good. We went when it was crowded and the food came out fast and the staff were Friendly and very helpful! They were working hard to keep up with customer demands.“
“I somehow forgot to take a pic before I ate so I will do my best to describe the delectable meal I ate at Marketplace today. I got the salmon crispy bowl with herbed rice. This included an edible bowl made out of crispy lavash bread that was layered with herb rice, lettuce, shirazi salad, babaganoush (garlicky eggplant dip) and salmon. First of all, the salmon was cooked to perfection. So tender and flavorful. The babaganoush was delish, not to mention the herbed rice. It's fragrant long grain basmati rice cooked with a variety of fresh green herbs. The portions are super generous and the service is five star--especially for a place that has no tables inside! It's almost a self serve type of restaurant but the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We dined on the outdoor patio (the only place you can sit). There were plenty of tables with umbrellas which were great to shade the sun. Note you have to ask for a key if you need to use the restroom. Also, there are limited parking spaces so wear comfy shoes as you might have to walk a few blocks. Finally, there's a great liquor store in the same strip where you can get lotto tickets :)“
