“We weren’t sure when we got to the place since it was fairly dark and small in the restaurant. However when we ordered and got our food, we were very pleasantly surprised. The rolls were so big and of great quality. Most sushi places give more rice and less fish/meat but that was certainly NOT the case here. We were a pretty large party and ordered a good amount of food and everything came out quickly and well-made. The staff even gave us an off-the-menu sushi roll on the house after we got all of our food. Highly recommend this place. Don’t let the outside/appearance fool you, this place is a hidden gem with great food and service.“

I was pleasantly surprised by how well everything was made for a fast-paced spot—the fish was fresh, and the rolls were flavorful with just the right amount of rice.

“This was a great surprise ! Since No Da Te closed, we were searching for an excellent sushi place. We found it. A wide selection of Nigiri (try the Snow Crab or Tamago), Sashimi and Maki. And above all, their fabulous Rolls, like Shrimp Tempura, Dragon or just The Fresh Special. Excellent! The area was very busy, and service was very efficient.“

“As a regular chaser of foods Japanese, I was so excited to discover Musashi! A small gem in Palm Desert. We were greeted by some cool jazz music in the background. There were people waiting for the doors to open. A good sign. We enjoyed sake, veggie tempura, miso soup, nigiri, sushi, and sashimi. All were excellent. Service was on point. A little slice of Japan. ??“

The diverse selection of sushi options was particularly appealing, offering a unique fusion of Mexican and Japanese flavors. However, while we were excited to try the miso soup, it was somewhat of a letdown; it was overloaded with green onions, which masked the traditional flavors, and the broth turned out to be saltier than we expected. On the positive side, the sushi itself was excellent, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, our dining experience was somewhat spoiled by the presence of fruit flies that flew around the table. On a brighter note, the service was impeccable. The servers were attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal.“

“I would say the store is original, signature, and actual. The drinks are all great, the foods are delicious, staffs are nice, the prices are affordable, ingredients are top-quality, the place is clean and nice-looking, the atmosphere is comfortable and cool. It is a really perfect place to hang out for every age. I’ve been coming here for like 3 years, since the day they first opened it. I highly recommend this place! “Visited on a Friday evening and enjoyed our experience very much. Restaurant was busy, but not excessively noisy, which is good. Tables were all occupied, so my wife and I decided to sit at the counter. We were greeted by our server after sitting, who was friendly and nice. We had edimame to start, and 3 rolls which were fresh and delicious. I also ordered a 2-pc. yellowfin tuna nigiri which was absolutely fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, and left there for around 50 bucks. Can't beat that. Looking forward to coming back again.“

“Good food, full bar. Bit pricey but not any more than other sushi restaurants. The wait staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable. Our server suggested that we split a bottle of beer but they were out of the large size so she brought us 2 regular size bottles and charged us for the single large. I thought that was a very nice way to make up for it.“

“I was so excited about the seafood tower after seeing all the pictures. The presentation was perfect but the food itself could use a bit more flavor. I enjoyed the guacamole more than the Torre Roka. For $28, it was a decent amount of food, but I don't think I will order it again.“
