“FOOD- 5 Stars Service-3 Stars Ambiance-3Stars Don't expect a good service in this Restaurant as they really busy , and sometimes even rude., try to kick your ass out , to serve the nx costumer, Food quality , I should say a place to go around Lake Forest Area. Ambiance- No ambiance.“
“We usually go the location near Anaheim but we’re staying in Irvine on this trip. Ma’s House did not disappoint! The food was excellent including the Mongolian beef, mixed vegetables and the sesame onion bread. The Three Flavor sizzling rice soup is our favorite. Portions sizes are large and the service was also quite good. We did not have to wait very long for a table either which was also a bonus (we did go before 6:00). Will definitely go back.Dietary restrictions: All the meat is halal and vegetarian options are all over the menu.Kid-friendliness: Many kid optionsWheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchairs“
“Incredibly clean, with incredibly friendly & attentive staff! Brought my parents here for their first hot pot experience (it was my first time at Haidilao, too). We were greeted by Sharon, who, upon learning it was our first time, took a minute to explain how everything worked. She passed the word onto our server Earl, who turned out to be AWESOME. He explained everything in detail, guided us through the process, and mixed us a couple of complimentary sauces (!). Throughout the meal he was always nearby when we needed him, even though he was juggling us with other tables (which he also handled brilliantly! Could hear him making legit conversation with other patrons). The sauce bar included desserts & appetizers, and he made suggestions for which ones to try (they were all good)! He and Sharon were both very hands-on and helpful as we were packing up our broths to take home. They both took a lot of initiative and were genuinely “present” with us.The whole restaurant was also extremely clean & well-organized — there was obviously a lot of attention paid to both food safety and customer experience. Food was incredible of course. Very very impressed, and will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Dietary restrictions: The sauce bar includes labels & recipes for vegetarian and gluten-free sauces/ingredients, as well as labels for major 8 allergens (including soy). As I left, I spotted an area with candies (for children? while waiting for a table? I only glimpsed it) and each was clearly labeled with “CONTAINS WHEAT,” etc. If you have allergies and tell a staff member, I have no doubt that they would make recommendations and let you know what is available.“
“This place is a total gem. Came in on a quiet Sunday evening to dine. Our waiter and the cook were very friendly and welcomed us in. We ordered the hot and sour soup, general tso chicken and the Mongolian beef. We absolutely loved the soup and the dishes were really tasty with a good size portion and the breading was very nice on the chicken. We will definitely be back for more good food. ?“
“Seriously the most delicious food I have ever had. Since finding this gem, I have been here almost twice a week every week for the last two months. Every time you go you will wait in line, it is that good. Customer service is sub par, but really it doesn't matter, not once you've tried the food.“
“I came here for lunch with my parents and had a great experience. We (ambitiously) ordered 4 entrees and a dessert for 3 people (spoiler alert: we didn't finish), but it was nice to try a variety of dishes. We ordered the Chef's Special Dry Chili Chicken, Pan Fried Egg with Tomato Soup, Fish in Sour Pickled Broth, Peapod Leaves, and the Golden Sesame Balls. Everything was great - freshly cooked, made with quality ingredients, and very flavorful without being overly salty or greasy. My favorite was probably the Chef's Special Dry Chili Chicken. Service was friendly and efficient. They don't have many waitstaff, but you save a lot of time by ordering and paying independently using a QR code system. Ambiance is simple but clean. Recommend a visit!“
“Great place. The food is very tasty and homemade. Combines several cultures I discovered this place by accident and am sure that I will be a frequent visitor here. Service at a high level. Very hospitable The atmosphere is both cozy and elegant. I really liked the pictures reflecting the country and area where this cuisine comes from. Very interesting. And I recommend it to everyone. Food for every taste“
“The taste is good, the environment is good, and the atmosphere of eating Sichuan hot pot is great! The short crispy pork is so well done? The duck blood is very tender, and the small sesame balls and ice powder are also really delicious. The only regret is that the sweet potato noodles are sold out and I didn’t order them. I will come again next time ??“
“Just walked in on a Friday night. Ordered the kelp salad, potato salad ,cabbage salad , chicken skewers , garlic bok choy ( wanted spicy and garlic, but had to choose one or the other) and Dun Huang Shaozi Noodle. All dishes good, and as simple as the bok choy is it stood out as best dish. Although listed as mild spicy none were at all spicy. Will return and see if they will bump up the heat. Now for the 3 star rating for service. No wait, not particularly busy, but our server went to other tables seated after us to get their order. Had to work hard to get attention for the check and to get him to pickup the credit card.“
“We just discovered this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Well we were very pleased with the food and the service. They use a lot of fresh vegetables in the preparation of their dishes and their Hot and Sour Soup is delicious. It was so good we went back the next night just to buy more soup!“
“This noodle shop offered a decent dining experience. The noodles were flavorful, and the snacks provided a tasty accompaniment. While the food was enjoyable, the overall ambiance and service were average. It's a suitable spot for a quick and satisfying meal, but don't expect anything extraordinary“
“Went here as it was close walking distance from our hotel. It's not much to look at but it is clean and the service is very friendly. The food, however, was OUTSTANDING. The mongolian beef was th best I've tasted and I kept thinking about it over the rest of the weekend. I would have had it for breakfast the next morning if the restaurant were open. Not fancy but a great choice if you want excellent food.“
“This is the best noodle shop I have ever eaten. The service is very good. The service is proactive and they gave me discount coupons. I want to share this noodle shop with everyone.I really love the service. By the way, the restaurant had unlimited filling noodles. Amazing service this morning.“
“It's a small quick hot pot place. We've been here a few times. Selections is a bit small but it has the essentials. It's like Mongolian bbq style where you grab a bowl, put what you want in it, and they weigh it for the price. It's easy to add too much. So less is more. The tomato soup toy is a bit too salty for my taste. So I usually get the fish based soup. It's a nice hot pot place if you're in the area.“
“My spouse and I went Asian kitchen because we were craving Pho. We both had their seafood udon and it was absolutely delicious! I also had a peach martini, and my spouse had a Japanese lager. Both were exceptionally delicious, as well! Our waitress, “Anita“ was a delight! She had a great sense of humor, and made the whole experience that much more fun and enjoyable. The environment is also super stylish! 5 STARS!!“
“One of my families favorites. Been going for years, it has always been excellent. Sandy and Shu do a great job in the front of the house and we all love the food. Favorites include Yosi's crispy fish, mala scallops and chicken. My wife loves the sesame shrimp with walnuts or aromatic shrimp. My buddy ALWAYS gets the chefs special crispy beef. It can get crowded and the food's always fresh so at peak hours you need to be patient when dining in. I order take out a lot (especially during Covid) and never had an issue. Always exactly what I ordered and pretty quick. I highly recommend it!“
“Great price, huge portions, AND it tastes great. Was craving Chinese takeout but wanted something better than panda express. Saw reviews saying this place is better quality and I can confirm that is true! I got combo B (two items) plus egg rolls (3 for $2).Highly recommend. Note the pic is after I started eating :)“
“I've been going here for 13 yearsThe quality of food and service has never taken a dip in that time.As long as they are around they will always be a staple in my culinary Rolodex -Kid-friendliness: The staff all love my two boys - They will always bring a little something for them out if They get restless while waiting for the food ?“
“The food is tasty and the portion size is very generous. We ordered the pot stickers (delicious) chicken fried noodles (generous with the noodles but skimpy on the chicken), beef noodle soup (noodles were delicious and the meat was tender) and fried rice (tasty and very generous portion size). You can scan the QR code on the table and place your order. Do not go there expecting attentive service...once they delivered our food, they never came to check on us and we had to go to the counter to ask for the check and take out boxes. I enjoyed the food so we will be back but will adjust our expectations on the type of service we will get.“
“I loved: $24 Boiled White fish I really liked: $15 Fried String Beans + $23 Lamb skewers + $10 Impressive Bean Jelly + $41 Braised whole Sea Bass + $23 Fried Squid Dry Pot + Incredible #goodeats but so spicy! Clearly I liked the less spicy stuff but even so, you can tell everything here uses high quality ingredients. I'd say it's 90% as good as in China itself which is honestly impressive. Service is expected for an Asian resturant. You absolutely have to flag a waiter down. You will feel ignored if you don't do so. Same for the noise level. It's a bunch of Asian people loudly talking. We got there at 11:30 and there was plenty of seating but as soon as 12:15 rolled around, there was a wait list.“
“First time ordering. Nice day so we decided to eat outside with our dog. We ordered inside at the counter and they brought out the food quickly! (5 mins- 2pm weekday). I ordered these based on the cashier’s suggestion of popular foods here.Beef rolls 牛肉卷饼- One of the best I tasted among other similar Chinese food restaurants. The beef is thinly cut and tender. Soft pancake rolls. Slightly too much chopped green onions though.House special beef noodle soup (spicy) 红烧牛肉面- Good flavored broth (I asked for less spiciness), generous amounts of tender beef cubes (4), bok choy, cilantro, and egg noodles. Slightly too much oil in broth though but still tasty. We finished everything split between two people and we were full!Prices are reasonable and decent amount of food under $30 in today’s environment!Recommend! Will try their hotpot next time.“
“We have picked up and dined in a couple times now and it was time to leave a review. The food taste fresh and not overly salty or saucy like other restaurants. The fried rice is delicious. We loved the egg rolls and the house beef. But the soup is killer. I'm obsessed with the sizzling rice soup. It is the best. Packed with veggies, the broth is so good and has this crunchy rice on top. So good especially if you are under the weather. My fiancé loves the sweet and sour soup as well. The Little Kitchen Asian Cafe has definitely become a staple in our house and highly recommend stopping in or grabbing it to go.“
“This is our new go to spot! I love the garlic shrimp. All the food we've had so far is so tasty. We've tried the orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, wonton soup, garlic shrimp, egg rolls, and the cream cheese wontons. Can't wait for our next eat out night to try the chow mien.“
“One of our family's favorites. We love to start the meal with a glass noodle soup hot pot. Fun for the kids. The interior is pleasant, and a relaxing, intimate vibe. The owner is a sweet woman who welcomes us each time. Sometimes we ditch the kids and have a date here too. We've tried probably half of their chicken and beef dishes in the Chinese menu and they all hit. On the Thai side, satay skewers and the curries are yummy. Delicious, good portions, and much better value than spending the same money at a chain restaurant.“
“I have done enough fine dining in my life to take it for granted. I also own two businesses in food service and can often look at an item and know whether it was purchased from US Foods, Sysco, or Restaurant Depot. There are plenty of restaurants that serve frozen entrees, and the chef opens packaging and reads the prep label before plating it. Not here. Not at PF Chang’s. Their chef has real talent and the “back” (kitchen staff) do an extraordinary job…we have never been served a bad meal (and I’m a particular eater). They are consistently good, which isn’t as simple as it may seem. But today I am taking time to write a review because the service was so spectacular. It’s my youngest daughter’s 28th birthday and Michelle (our server) literally made it perfect. She was fast, accurate, predictive, professional and was neither hovering or out-of-sight. But in addition to providing superbly attentive service, it was her manner that made the difference. Truth be told…it had been a brutal day and we almost cancelled dinner because nobody was feeling “up for it.” We all suggested rescheduling (not one of us wanted to go) but it seemed kinda obligatory and so we dragged ourselves here. Thank God we did. Michelle’s bubbly personality lifted us all up out of our funk and before long we were all giggling and thoroughly enjoying ourselves…even Michelle seemed to be having fun. This girl fixed a horrible day and all it took was a genuine desire to please and the well-honed server skills only a restaurant veteran can appreciate. Michelle is a rare gem…she’s got the X Factor. The manager at PF Chang’s hires very well. His staff (both front & back) provided us an exemplary dining experience that is worthy of 10 stars. Do yourself a favor, go dine at PF Chang’s, play with items on the menu you never tried before and yeah…try some of the bartender’s specialty libations. Do it on a day when you’re down and stressed and need some simple Asian attitude therapy. The staff at PF Chang’s sets the customer care bar so high…other restaurant workers need to charter a plane just to see it. Tell em Bruce set you. You can thank me later. Thanks for saving the day Michelle.“
“I dined in recently for the first time and absolutely LOVED my experience. I think my server’s name was Kim, it was a young lady with the pretty tattoo on her neck. But she made me feel welcomed and comfortable after telling her I never been here before and didn’t rush me like other places. Her recommendations were great, my favorite was the Changs Spicy Chicken but get it extra spicy! And the shrimp dumplings are a must try! 10/10 for the food and service. I will be back soon!“
“Am from NY and SF Chinatown; must say the roast duck, chicken had one of the most flavorful preparations I've ever experienced A must try in my humble opinion With Sam woo closed , this is a worthy successor to the bbq scene in OC U can't eat atmosphere, but the food is delicious“
“I would like to give a special thank you to Manuel thank you for your superior customer service going above and beyond to ensure I got the best service and quality of delicious food. The wait time for my fresh food was phenomenal. The restaurant was clean and Manuel greeted me with a smile, and welcomed me through moment I walked through the door. Thank you for making sure I got my birthday reward that really meant a lot to me. I highly appreciate you and recommend this establishment to who wants fresh good quality food excellent customer service and a clean atmosphere.“
“This place has plenty of parking, very clean and the employees are so happy and helpful. Food is hot and fresh. Large selection and plentiful. I really love everything, but my fav is Pork fried rice. Food is seasoned perfectly. Service is fast and priced fairly. Loads of almond and fortune cookies and fried noodles. Drinks are also bottled or fountain and a nice variety Highly Recommend.“
“This restaurant is my go to in the area whenever I crave chinese korean food such as tangsuyuk and/or jajangmyeon. The food here is delicious and oily so you know its legit. Also, their sweet and sour shrimp is actually decent too and i order it sometimes when i'm in the mood.“
“Such a delicious and pleasant experience. We were greeted with warmth and smiles. Service is outstanding!! The cocktails were perfect and our wine was great. Oh the food was amazing! Tip if you are thinking Peking duck request at time of making reservation as it is prepared fresh and served by chef at table side. Very impressive! It is a great family dinning menus portions are generous, fresh and unique! Excited to go back......“
“Saw a few negative reviews on this place but decided to go into this without a biased opinion. First of all this is fast food Chinese style run by an independent owner and not a large franchise. So can hopefully expect better value and lower price point but not lower quality The service is efficient if not friendly. The ambiance is simple and impressively clean...I have been to quite a few mom and pop shops and have never seen one this sparkling. As for the food they give very large portions even if in a smaller food serving container. The friend rice run of the mill, the lo mein noodles were soft as well as satisfying (much more than the P. EXPRESS), the veggies well sauteed, and as for the bbq pork...well some was overcooked and dry and some were more tender. So a little mixed feeling on the main course but overall a solid spot to fix the need and always try to be supportive of the neighborhood vendors.“
“i read those bad review and felt unfair for this business this place is great!!!! We had great time traveling from Vegas to here and dining here every time, I felt obligated to leave a 5 start review to help people realize this place is great high end, don’t listen to those lower class people.“
“Ginger is an amazing owner!! she's literally the most welcoming restaurant owner i ever met. Not only her food is delicious, they offer GLUTEN FREE dishes which i have been struggling to find. We ordered the orange chicken and egg fried rice (both are GLUTEN free and YUMMY) will come back again.“
“Yu’s garden is located in the same ranch 99 plaza but on the right side.It is a small chinese porridge shop that has limited seating but very easy and fast takeout options for ppl who are on the go.They have a bunch of side dishes laid out at the counter and you either tell them you want two or three per bento box. Each box comes with a bowl of porridge or rice whichever you choose. The way to order is you go to the back and point or tell them which one you want and you can order multiple bento boxes of your choice. ($11.50 pretax for 3 side dishes)This place has been here a long time and is a known local shop that has served Irvine folks.Parking is ample but may get packed cuz of the plaza.10/10 would recommend!“
“Extremely tasty noodle dishes - All noodle dishes we tried were really excellent. Also, the sticky rice dessert is super tasty! I agree with some of the other reviews that the staff could really try to be friendlier. However, who cares about that if the food and price are great?“
“I went here because all the other ramen places I enjoy closed down. Was pleasantly surprised by how the food was. The service was good though I can’t say much because they weren’t there that long. The atmosphere was pretty calming and the music was a 7/10 in my opinion. Overall this place has good food, good service, and a good atmosphere.“
“The boba texture is always on point- chewy but soft. Cha for tea's almond milk tea is top tier. They work really fast and have a lot of employees making drinks. It's located in the University Town Center so there's usually a line around dinner time and after. The boba is reasonably priced and they also have snacks as well! The popcorn chicken is good. Although, the portion is small. You can also adjust sweetness, which I'd highly recommended. I typically get 2 pumps of sweetener instead of 5 for the large cup.“
“Good experience. Friendly staff. This Chinese food was better than any we've had so far in the RSM area. Orange chicken had thick breading and Kung Pao was not spicy enough. Fried Shrimp was excellent. One speciality noodle dish was very good and different. Had a touch of curry. We will go again. Kid friendly.Kid-friendliness: Staff was very nice to our 3 small children, 5, 7 and 9. Our 3 are pretty well behaved though.Wheelchair accessibility: Good spacing between tables.“
“Food is good. Order was wrong but they corrected without a problem because it was their mistake. Thanks so much for being open on Christmas day/night. It was super busy with to-go orders and also for dine in but that’s okay. This restaurant is nice and they did their very best.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options and pescatarian options available.Parking: No issues with parking“
“Relatively fresh and tasty, and much better than the typical Panda Express in the area. Entrees are made fresh to order. Their lunch specials available from 11 to 3 pm are the best if you are on your own. Dinner entrees are available but a little more pricey but with a lot more food (bring a friend or partner to dine). I especially like their take on Orange chicken served with Chow Mein. Doordash and to-go available.Parking: Shopping center parking. Now that storefront spots are capped for either 15 or 30 minutes only (except handicap spots), so if you are dining in, be sure to park in the broader lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Nearby storefront parking available. Single manual door. Wheelchair accessible counter.“
“Called ahead a day before to place a catering tray of 50 egg rolls and 20 spring rolls. Prices as of 12/23/22: Egg rolls $0.70 Spring rolls $2.00 Asked for a 5:30 pm pickup. Order was ready when I walked in. Very nice gentleman working the front. Imagine he was the owner. Egg rolls were a hit at pot luck. This review was mainly to let people know the current prices since most of the other reviews don't mention it or are outdated.“
“We've been searching everywhere in south OC for good takeout and finally found our go-to spot! Fresh food, nice service, and great price. We had chow mein, spicy pork, king pao chicken, beef and broccoli, and shrimp won ton soup. All tasted fresh (nothing was mushy or swimming in gravy, my pet peeve), the portions were very generous, and it came out to under $30. Nothing to complain about and we hope they stick around for years to come!“
“Very good food, egg rolls great! Owners are very nice. Simple decor, my favorite neighborhood stop now. Food delicious!! Chicken pho was huge, wonderful flavors. So fresh. Loved the Thai corn. Look forward to trying more items.Parking: Quick parking, easy. I should walk here, it's so close to me!“
“Oh, I love this place! I always got the Mango Green Milk Tea, and always went! Once I moved to New Mexico (where I am now), I just can’t match the same. I loved the tea and if I come back for whatever reason, this will be the first place I go go when I arrive!“
“Hard to explain how happy Asia Buffet makes me. I'm a little biased because I grew up eating "panda express" buffet style Chinese food. From the elevator music, heat lamps, and diverse crowd Asia Buffet felt like home. Nothing fancy, no judgements, no BS. This is hard working comfort food. I was impressed but my expectations were pretty low going in. There is way more variety than I expected. Pizza, french fries, fish, sushi, ribs, chinese, korean, dessert, ice cream, and more were an absolute delight to the senses. The garlic bread was a sleeper hit - buttered on both sides by the way. Everything was actually pretty decent. Two highlights were the shrimp (2 kinds) and crab. A welcome surprise for this price point. Another hit were the fried chicken wings. 5 spice seasoning and juicy on the inside - blissful. The large evening crowd meant high turnover for the food, so new trays were coming out constantly. A cool aspect was how diverse the patrons were. I love to see folks from different cultures and walks of life dining together. This is a place I would normally pass on, but for many community members it's an important local spot. I was admittedly afraid of...stomach complications. Thankfully, we were fine! Will definitely be back to feed the soul. Also dip your donuts in your ice cream and come back and thank me later.“
“SENSATIONAL DIM SUM ! We checked out this place a few days ago...the menu looked great so we put it on our must try list. On Sunday we decided to do lunch here...the early heavy rain killed our Sunday bike ride. My wife and I rocked in at 12.40pm. It was as dead as a cracker...maybe because of the really cold rainy weather ! A kind server named Abbott looked after us the whole time. Funnily enough my wife and I ordered exactly the same items from the Dim Sum menu....STEAMED BBQ PORK BUNS & JUICY PORK DUMPLINGS. And then we both chose CRISPY SHRIMP ROLLS from the Small Bites menu. HA HA ! My wife also ordered a THAI ICED TEA. Our well spoken server Abbott brought our lunch order out one at a time so we could take time to enjoy. AND ENJOY WE DID ! Everything we ordered tasted TOP NOTCH. My wife LOVED her well made flavorsome Thai Iced Tea. Truly the most relaxing enjoyable Din Sum lunch ever. Our server Abbott was sensational. We will be back for dinner real soon !“
“Came last night for their new Dinner for Love package. It was a great meal and experience for my wife and I. It was an 8 course feast that could easily feed 3 people. It is a great value as well for $158 before tax and tip and includes a bottle of white wine. It includes fried won tons that my wife loved, sweet and sour soup with shrimp inside, xia long bao with a tasty sauce, duck wrapped by server in front of us, huge grilled scallops grilled in front of us by server, fillet mignon cubes grilled in front of us by server, and ice cream for dessert. Service was superb and the ambiance was very unique with their enhanced lighting and creative table gizmos. This experience was plenty good for special occasions but the price can easily be for a simple date night. I highly recommend this place. Great food, service, and value. Also great location on PCH that is a short walk to the beach.“
“First time ordering food from this place. Every dish we ordered was fresh and tasty! My son loves their orange chicken so much! Such a lovely restaurant in the neighborhood. The employees are very friendly and helpful too. I will definitely visit Little Chopsticks again soon.“
“Right across the street from the DMV, we were hungry for Chinese food after my son passed his driving exam. This place is located in a small strip center and serves great Northern Chinese comfort food. Manager Leo was friendly and knew many of his customers by name. I was impressed with the overall authenticity, quality and prices. Lunch specials are only $9.99, including rice and soup (none of the pics) We will be returning, and I'm a Chinese food snob!“
