“Our server, Kaitlin was really great and recommended many things for us to try. After hearing about din tai fung for months, it was worth the wait. we ordered the cucumber salad, pork soup dumplings, string beans, shrimp noodles, and spicy wontons. Everything was good but the standouts were the cucumber salad and the pork soup dumplings.“

“Tried out the pork buns at their food stand during the 626 Night Market at OC Fairgrounds and fell in love!THE FOOD ELABORATION. - Pork Bao | Fluffy, slightly sweet, steamed bun with flavorful shredded pork and shiitake mushrooms inside. Recommend trying this out. - Melty Bao with Pork | Steamed bun with shredded pork and shiitake mushroom inside. It's then cut in half with cheese slapped on each open side and melted on the grill. Absolutely, mind blowing delicious. All steamed buns should be made like this. Highly recommend... and buy one for me. Please and thank you. THE VIBE EVOCATION. Fair vibes. They have a bright red sign you can't miss. There's a grill next to their stand so you can watch as they melt cheese onto the steamed bun. The staff were friendly and helpful as they navigated me through the menu. THE PARKING AFFAIR.As I mentioned, we tried Nikuman-Ya at the 626 Night Market on the OC Fairgrounds, so parking pertains to that location. Arrive early to get a spot close to the entrance. How early is early? About 15-20 min before the 4PM opening. Parking is $12. THE RETURN QUANDARY. Yes. It's worth the drive, the wait, and the money.“

“Pretty solid but feels like they cheap out and charge you for a lot of little things like chili oil that tradionally are included. Also some of the orders/portions are weird - unusually granular which is nice but also so unusual it's a bit of getting used to. You basically can get an order and a half of har gow or shu mai??“

“We were on the way to Los Angeles and looking for a breakfast place. I found Sea Empress Seafood Restaurant perfectly on our way. We decided to have our dim sum fix there. We waited at the parking lot for a few minutes and got our table as soon as they opened. The restaurant looks a little dated. But who cares! We want to have our dim sum breakfast. The dim sum is pretty good. They're hot and fresh. We got what we wanted and were back on the road in less than 45 minutes.Parking: I parked my car near the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: No problem with a wheelchair. ADA parking is available.“

“I hadn't been here for many years until last weekend (April 6th). And I am so glad we found it again. We went there specifically to celebrate our son's 49th birthday at his request. The selection of dim som was very large AND very good; some of the best I've ever had. There were 9 of us & each of us found a selection to suit our desires, & as noted, each & every choice was better than the last. There were the usual dumplings & veggie choices but also a large selection of stuff I never saw before (& can't spell) like tripe & chicken feet. I can go on & on but needless to say, EVERYONE was satisfied to the nth degree. Service was attentive, friendly & knowledgeable. The eating environment was bright & clean; nothing outstanding, but you don't eat ambiance as I'm fond of saying. Some of the places that the late Johnathan Gold of the LA Times loved were real dives. This place didn't fall into that category but it was more than acceptable. I highly recommend this place especially for dim som lovers.“
