“I must have died and gone to doughnut heaven. The donut texture is fluffy with a pleasant slight chew, and not oily or too sweet for the most part. Most were priced $4-5 each but I find it worth it for the quality of the ingredients. Our favorites are the misugaru (roasted soybean) because it's mild and nutty and has a chewy filled mochi inside. The black sesame is also intensely nutty with a chewy mochi inside too. My wife loves the sweet potato cream the most because it has fresh sweet potato puree along with milk cream, and it's the Korean/Japanese sweet potato that's delightfully sweet and nutty.Tiramisu had plenty of rich cocoa powder accompanying the tangy cream (probably cream cheese mixed in it?). The bitterness of the cocoa was the best together with the cream. The strawberry milk cream had a small amount of strawberry pieces but the cream was so milky rich yet light at the same time. The blueberry one is the exact same except with a few blueberries so I slightly prefer the strawberry one.Matcha creme brulee had strongly flavored matcha cream but I'm not too much of a fan of the sugar crust top. I might still try the regular creme brulee next time to compare the regular custard. Our least favorite was the apple cinnamon because the icing was too sweet but the presentation was beautiful with the pieces of apple inside. We saw quite a line build up after us at 10am so I'd come early since they open at 9am until they sell out! The parking lot is nice and big so it wasn't any trouble finding parking. The mall also has other interesting stalls like a kimbap and udon one if you need some savory to offset the sweet.“
“A long time customer and this is my favorite place to get chicken. Absolutely the best, hands down. A hidden gem indeed, I love Birdies. I ate them all in one sitting, lol. Delicious, juicy, fresh, high quality and it's worth every penny to me. I hope Birdies stay in business for many years. I highly recommend it to everyone.“
“I've had their strawberry shakes and peanut butter shakes so far, and they are so delicious!! The donuts are unbelievably delicious. I wish I had known about this place before. Now I'm a regular.Vegetarian options: It's a vegan donut shop. Safe for vegetarians.Parking: There is paid public parking on 51st Ave. North of York St.Kid-friendliness: Well, they offer donuts, ice cream, and shakes. I guess that makes it kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: The shop is on the ground level. There are no stairs to obstruct.“
“Best glazed donuts I've ever had, period. My wife agrees. The owner said she's been there for years, but we never bothered to go until last year. Now, we're hooked. We live about a mile and a half away and so we walk to the store for exercise, then treat ourselves for being good :-)“
“Special place. Tiny place. Incredible selection. Top two donut places in the city by my count. Best cinnamon roll and jelly donuts in town. Never been much for the celestial donuts but they certainly make for a pretty display. Their breakfast sandwiches are definitely not the star but a good addition. The staff is great, too. Really kind and patient, and when there are sooooooooo many choices that it a really good thing. Definitely going here again.“
“Best place for donuts in the city! I've been visiting this donut shop for many years and it's always been great. I recommend the cream filled round and the chocolate cake donuts. Very friendly staff and plenty of parking. A must have!“
“This is a really cute tiny spot right across the metro on Flower Street. The inside is very minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing. I did hear a lot of wonderful things about their matcha but sadly they were out for the day, which is okay it happens; I'll definitely be back for it! The owner was super sweet and a very helpful guy. All the menu items come with oat milk automatically, which is cool- you can always substitute with another milk except for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. I got the two best selling coffees which was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch + G Spot - I loved the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one it was perfectly flavored, but the G Spot one I had to toss as it was sooooooo sweet it was like drinking sugar; but Im sure that can be pleasant for sweet tooths so I'm not judging! The menu is super extensive so Im pretty sure there is something for everyone to love! Pricing is very high up there, but Im also not going to judge on that as cost of goods are flying through the roof for restaurant industries as well. Overall pretty good :)“
“I am so glad I finally got to try Alfalfa! If you're looking for a healthy, stress free (there's a parking lot!), pretty in pink, zen-like breakfast, lunch, or dinner - Alfalfa is it. They also have a location in Santa Monica if you're in that part of town. For my bevvy I tried the Vanilla Oat Milk Latte which was wonderful. I also got the Buffalo Goddess Wrap with medium dressing. The only thing I wish I did was add avocado which I was planning on doing but slipped my mind when ordering. This wrap was SO fresh and light but also had lots of flavor. I really enjoyed it. Lastly, I had to get a donut. Got the maple walnut - this was the only thing that tasted a liiiitle off. Maybe because it was gluten free? But when you have it with the coffee it makes it better. Prices are pretty normal for LA. The staff was absolutely lovely. Since it was my first time I had a few questions and they were able to help me pick out the perfect meal.“
“The best goto spot when you’re looking for a quick bite, snack, fresh juice, smoothie or coffee.Plenty of options with a wild variety to satisfy your cravings or munchies. This is the local hub in the neighborhood, easy to walk to but also has parking. The ladies who work here are awesome, they acknowledge you when you come in, very helpful, kind and accommodating.Vegetarian options: Big parking lot can also park ok the street“
“Yum! Yum! Yum! I could eat here everyday. Wait, don't tell me they're plant-based!?! These tasty, melt-in-your-mouth delights are the best donuts I have ever had. They rival my favorite donut shop back home, but being healthier kinda wins my vote for being the best. The gals working today in the shop were just the nicest folks we met out here in LA. Recommend taking a box of these decadent treats home for later!“
“BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH IN LAI thought I was in NYC when I came here. Very nice Asian couple owns and operates this joint in the heart of LA. Very nice people I can tell they pour love into everything they make. The sandwich has a perfect texture, they toasted the croissant and added mayo to my Sausage, egg, and cheese. Light crisp from the croissant compliments the chewiness from the sausag, egg and cheese. It was so good. I could have this everyday!!Donuts are great too, best variety in town. Coffee is delicious. I added epsresso to my boba chai tea. Great combo!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“
“Got a Jalapeno Cheddar Chicken, Original (White) with Potato & sugar, plus a Churro Donut & a soda. Let me start with the donut because it was really good. It was chewy inside and not overly sweet like most donuts, the fine grain sugar on top was absolutely delicious. The hot dog was really good too. Very interesting mix of flavors, I normally don't like sugar on meat but they balance it out pretty well to where it's just a little hint of it. Everything was cooked really well nice and hot, savory with a hint of sweet Small place located in the 2 floor plaza, with extra parking downstairs. Service was ok, it was quiet when i went. It's pretty affordable for the portions. Located in a 2 floor plaza with underground parking“
“The Kettle Glaze place is one of the best surely everyone loves. It’s the best place to buy deliciously made donuts, drinks freshly made at an affordable rate. From the staff friendly, knowledgeable, and warm welcoming. Excellent service and foods great.“
“Awesome gluten free donuts.... In a variety of flavors.... And never fried! My favorite is pancakes & syrup, strawberry shortcake and of course... Churro! Their all-natural, Fotella (Nutella alternative), is also awesome. Order your sourdough early, because they sell out early. Highly recommend.“
“I stop here sometimes in the morning before work to get donuts for everyone. They're so good. It's just a woman and her husband and both of them are super nice and super helpful. I went in today with a friend of mine to get lunch and it was really good, really filling and affordable. The woman working seems to really care about the customers and will talk to them and remember little bits about them. If you're ever in Silverlake you have to stop here. Q“
“The folks at this location are very nice, kind customer service and a welcoming vibe. The donuts are just classic, fresh donuts. I like to bring them to my students and they love them every time. I know the prices may have gone up, but Pavilions down the street is actually more expensive and these ones are better.“
“Beautiful donuts with beautiful owners! This is such a hidden gem in Los Angeles for specialty donuts. Not to mention they go above and beyond by also having stumptown cold brew coffee, smoothies, croissants, and panini sandwiches! The donuts have the trifecta of variety, value, and deliciousness. They have extremely unique flavors such as crème brûlée, maple bacon, matcha, lemon poppy seed. There's bound to be something here for everyone.Parking lot has plenty of spaces, which is rare in downtown. Coming here will leave you with no regrets!“
“Ice cream + donuts is always a hit! Service here is always fast and friendly! I love their Paramoreo donut with Paramoreo ice cream! (Think Cookie Monster Oreo ice cream) My only complaint is that they don't have as much donut options as their sister shop, Donut Friend. Parking can be kind of tricky as it does get busy on sunset and it's street parking only.“
“As someone who is not a big fan of donuts in general, Fantastic Donuts and Croissants exceeded my expectations. After stopping by to try their chocolate twist donut, I reached out for a price quote on a customized set of donuts. Lily responded in a timely fashion and was patient in answering questions I had. She is very creative and talented. It is evident that lots of time is put into designing these donuts. I had ideas of what I wanted and Lily was able to bring it to life without any photos! The donuts I ordered were wonderful and looked too good to eat. Friendly service and the donuts tasted as amazing they looked! Will definitely return and continue to recommend this donut shop to friends and family to check out. Can't wait to come back and order more customized donuts!“
“Absolutely excellent donuts. I tried the Valhrona chocolate crunch, and I must that it's the first time in my trip in the US that I tasted a donut with an icing that actually tastes like good chocolate. Perfect for your chocolate and/or donut craving. However -1 star for the price, more than 5$ for a donut is too much on the expensive side to be forgiven by the good taste.“
“Went here based on the reviews because I prefer the flavor of real donuts compared to the little Krispy ones. First off, my cinnamon roll was excellent. However, there were absolutely no bars i.e., chocolate, maple, nor were there any buttermilks. I was there before 9a on a Saturday! I would understand if it was after 10 but the selection seemed scant. Oh and for those babies crying about cash only, grow up and carry a $20 like a grown up! Overall a good donut but they need to avoid going bare minimum.“
“For donuts, I give them 5 stars. For coffee, stick to the regular ol' drip pot. The "espresso" drinks are for kids -machine made, super sweet, and don't taste much like actual coffee. I stress, however, their donuts are REALLY good. Fresh n tasty! ??“
“We called ahead to see if he had cronuts (need to try if you havent!) And he said he could put them aside for us. Really kind guy on the phone. We rushed over and..oh..my..gosh. they have every imaginable donut!!! So cute, wish I took pictures. Great experience and will definitely be back next time I'm in LA!“
“I only gave this donut shop a 4 star from the atmosphere it sits in. Has always been a drug area from the VA down. But, their donuts ? are great and the service is fast. ? The parking lot is small though and can get packed sometimes. Overall, it's a good place to get a great donut.Parking: Lot is small and has homeless around all day. I don't mind the homeless, but there are some people on drugs walking around parking lot.“
“Donut Factory is a fantastic spot! Their customer service is top-notch, and their donuts are simply delicious. Whether you're a fan of classic glazed or adventurous with unique flavors, they've got you covered. Highly recommended for a sweet treat!“
“Was randomly craving donuts and this spot showed up on my google search with a high rating, definitely did not disappoint. They have soooo many options to choose from when it comes down to drinks and food (sandwiches, boba, fresh squeezed juices…) and if you’re feeling lucky, they also have lottery tickets and scratchers. Bought half a dozen donuts which were delicious and 2 drinks. I really enjoyed my green tea lemonade and the raspberry one was also good. The customer service was great. The gentleman who served us our drinks was so nice and welcoming with a great smile. Will definitely be going back.“
“This place gets 5 stars because the husband and wife couple who own this shop are the nicest and most pleasant people. They work very hard from the very early morning, but have a great smile of appreciation for all the customers who visit their shop.Parking: Parking is easy in the AM, before other businesses in the strip mall open.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Mochinut delights with its cleverly rotating menu and the fun of eating donut "bites" that make a dozen seem like just a few. The donuts themselves are a perfect mix of chewy, subtly sweet, and not at all greasy. While the corn dogs might be a bit too oily for some, it's likely just the Korean-style preparation. Be mindful of the limited parking in the K-town plaza, especially during busy times. A great spot for a treat, if you navigate the parking challenge.“
“This is my favorite donut shop! ?Fresh donuts, bear claws, apple fritters, cinnamon rolls & more.Lots on display right at the window. There's a drive up & a walk up window.Just so you know... this shop is a cash only shop though. That's a good thing to know before you get there.“
“Visited for the first time this morning and had a great experience. I had the number 3 breakfast sandwich, which is egg, bacon and cheese on a croissant. It was all very good. I also bought an apple fritter which was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff, and even the other customers, were very friendly. I'm not usually in this area, but when I return I will definitely go here again.“
“This is definitely worth a visit or two ... or three in our case LOL - not generally a big fan of raised doughnuts, but man, oh man, hands down, this was the best doughnut I have EVER eaten. It was incredibly fresh and light and somehow managed to NOT be doughy ... good thing we left town, visits there could become addictive!“
“2 sandwiches & 1 coffee for only $13. You can't find a better price for this deal in LA, except for at this neighborhood local bakery! My boyfriend took me here on a sunny Sunday morning for a quick bite before a Clippers game. I was so shocked at the prices, as I'm so used to blown up prices in DTLA. I usually restrain myself from eating a Bagel because I usually can't stop, but I thought, what the hey, the price is so good, why not? The bakery owner will make the sandwich fresh and hot for you if you're willing to wait a quick 5 minutes. I finished the whole thing in one sitting (which I usually don't) because it was just so good. They also have an awesome Vietanmese coffee that will authentically smack you in the face, like it's supposed to. I had such a wonderful experience, I'll definitely be back for the awesome prices and delicious sandwiches.“
“Great little place, nice people running it. Simple menu with American sandwiches and burgers. Good coffee and doughnuts. Amazing prices especially for LA. Cash only of course, they also have lottery tickets and scratchers if your feeling lucky.“
“Been coming here over a decade. Sometimes occasionally twice a day to grab a sandwich as well. During CoViD I didn't want them to go under like other businesses so I came by religiously everyday during the work week. The owners are very nice & comical, periodically, calling you "Primo" or "Corazón". They are young people working there now. One is quiet the other is more sociable. Like many businesses they must be struggling because items are becoming smaller. I prefer they stay the same size, I'd pay more because they're convenient. The chocolate glazed cream filled donut 2 days ago hardly had anything in it. Got one yesterday again and it was filled only slightly more than the day before. So went with a bagel today. Didn't have very much cream cheese but she compensated by giving me a bunch of donut holes. Nice touch! At the very least I'll continue to stop by for the coffee. I hope they make it through this rough time.Tip: the days I order a sandwich & stay there to eat. I log on to the neighboring business WiFi (password is their phone#)“
“Very nice owner, the donuts are delicious! It is a family business, locate at my mom's neighborhood, always stop by but never really write some review! This one is for support local business! You won't regret to try them!“
“We wanted a fitting way to remember our son on the first birthday without him. Thank you Daddy’s Donuts for making a special donut for what should have been our son’s 18th birthday. James LOVED bacon. Today was a difficult and sad day for us but being able to share these amazing donuts with others who are missing him too was perfect. Thank you. PS. The bacon was perfection.“
“My coworker brought doughnuts from Top Donuts to the office and WOWEE! I haven had a glazed twist this good in nearly a year. It was so good I ate *another* doughnut. Winchell's changed their recipe and now their texture is tough, dense, and kind of doughy (like "Famous" Randy's on Manchester) and they also now cut GIANT holes in their doughnuts to do a secret price raise, so they're a no-go. Keep up the good work Top Donuts and we'll keep buying! (And stamp your name and contact info on your boxes so people know who you are when they come across your abfab doughnuts in waiting rooms and offices)“
“Yum, I am picky about my donuts and these are amazing! I got a plain glazed yeast donut, and my friends got a strawberry glazed and a strawberry glazed with sprinkles, and they were all delicious. Light and sugary, which are exactly what I look for in a donut. They were open until 5 on the Friday I went, and are cash only. The sweet woman behind the counter was super helpful. Definitely give this place a try.“
“Best donuts I ever had. I was in LA for three days. Went there the first day and it was so good we went back the second and the third day. My daughter and girlfriend also loved the donuts. I liked the sugarless donuts. Can really recommend this place. There is a parking lot in front.“
“I can't say enough good things about this little bakery! Despite living 20 minutes away, I make it a point to drive here at least once a week. My go to is their Napoleon pastries, they are heavenly- flaky, creamy, and just melt in your mouth. Yesterday I tried their lahmajuns for the first time fresh out of the oven, it was still warm and bursting with flavor and couldn't believe how cheap it was, I ended up picking up 5 more to go! If you're in the area, this place is a must try.“
“I love donuts. This is a local place where everything is hand made. Wonderful apple fritters and filled donut, they split the donut and then add filling. Their donuts are exceptional so arrive earlier the better. Peanut butter filled with maple frosting, and the jelly donuts are my favorite!“
“89° bicycling for doughnuts I discover one of the few remaining Maggie's doughnut shops.... The post apocalypse atmosphere was buffeted by the friendly service and satisfying yeasty texture of the hint of citrus glazed raised doughnut.... I can face another chapter...“
“I love this one stop coffee shop... Wonderful Owner Amazing staff kind & courteous all the time... every Sunday Morning if I have the time get me a coffee ( just the way I like it ) and cake plus refrigerated items for my son. go, and see for yourself“
“I live abroad but am from LA and wanted to send donuts to dear friends upon the passing of a beloved colleague. Delicious Donuts associate Patricia helped me with my order and even went out of her way to place my note of condolences onto a card to be delivered with the donuts. We had a bit of a hiccup and had to redo the whole thing a couple of days later. Patricia gladly facilitated this a second time. Her communication with me was prompt, polite, and supportive--truly excellent service and a real comfort to those of us who are grieving this loss.“
“I love this place. They have exactly what you would expect from a classic LA donut shop. The staff is super welcoming, kind, and fast. They will sometimes include free donuts in your purchase if you come later in the day. Also, they make incredible fresh sandwiches that I constantly crave. Probably half the price of what you’d get at other spots on sunset, but the same, if not better, quality and flavor.“
“We found this place while driving around LA on a trip. As fans of Trejo, we had to stop. Being from the East Coast and not being fans of the typical strong-tasting dark roasts served at West Coast coffee shops, we didn't expect to love the coffee! We ended up stopping in 3 mornings over our 6 nights in LA because those donuts and the medium roast drip coffee are THAT good! On our first visit, a tray of red velvet donuts came out as we were ordering. OMG, one of the best donuts we'd ever had! Definitely stop by. As fun as it was to take pictures of the decor and Trejo's face on everything, their products are damn delicious!“
“We were on our way home and saw this donut shop was still open late. The drive thru was taking too long so we walked up to order at the window. Ordered a couple of donuts and some Lottery tickets. Customers kept driving up so this place keeps busy. The donuts were so fresh and delicious without being to over sweetened.“
“best classic donuts I've had in LA. other shops either run out of or just don't make some of the "fancy" donuts like apple fritters, cronuts, maple bacon, or raspberry filled, nor do they make 'em as well. this place has everything, made fresh, and really good quality. the location is a bit sketch, with some element of the hood usually kickin around the corner strip. but in a way, it's part of its charm: a neutral zone where all types can converge to get some high-quality fried dough.“
“Absolutely love this place! They are one of the few places that are open super early and they provide delicious food and drinks. My go to is a small Thai iced tea and some donut holes, which are incredibly tasty.Highly recommend and the workers are super sweet to me too :)“
“"Sippin from your cup 'til it runneth over..." I heard JT performed at the Wiltern last night for free so I had his music on repeat in my head all day today during work. So of course I had to stop by here as soon as I saw the store name. I did NOT expect to find the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Period. I walked in and was greeted warmly and decided to just order the Original Sin and their version of classic milk. They were so nice and gave me another donut for free which was the Obrama. Everything was so scrumptious. I loved that the donuts weren't too big. The quality of the donut is so good that it only needs to be a smaller size to have the same effect as something larger. The outer texture and the crispness reminded me of the blueberry m&m donuts that they sell in OC where people line up for hours to buy. The donuts here taste better because the inside texture is a lot lighter and isn't as dense so you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards with regrets. I cannot wait to come back and get some for my family and friends. I wanted to test it out myself first prior to sharing with others. Yum! Also their classic milk was soooooo good and complimented the donuts so perfectly.“
