“Worth the wait. I avoided the wait as I went before the lunch rush on a Saturday morning. Around 10:45am. Their broth is clean, light but flavorful. It was not overly sweet like some places. The eggrolls were the rice paper kind and not the wonton type. It was super crispy and right amt of chewy. Spring rolls were equally delicious. Found meter parking outside. Would definitely return.“
“I had been hearing a lot of good things about the food here so I finally made my way into Silverlake to check it out. As you are probably already aware, this is a take out or delivery restaurant. You cannot dine in here. You actually can't even enter the building. The front door is a two piece door and when they are open for business, the top part of the door will be open. You order from there and then wait on the sidewalk for your order to be ready. You can also call in an order in advance or use various delivery services. There was not anyone waiting to order when I got there so I was able to walk directly up to the door and immediately order. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes for my order to be prepared and in those 10 minutes they got very busy. Six people came up to pickup phone or delivery orders during that time and those pickups went very quickly. A line began to form to order during that time and when I left with my order there were 5 other people who had placed others and were now waiting for their orders to be prepared and an additional 7 other people waiting in line to place orders. They prepare their food quickly but keep in mind, they need to cook the food after you place your order. If there is already a line to place your order and people waiting for their food to finish cooking, all of that will add to the amount of time it will take before your order has been prepared. If you are in a hurry and need your order quickly, perhaps you should consider another restaurant such as a fast food restaurant. They do prepare the food as quickly as they can but keep in mind, you will wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes at a minimum and the more people you see standing around out front will add to that wait time. Is it worth the wait? Oh yes, it is worth it. I had the popcorn chicken, Summer Rolls and the Caramelized Pork. The Popcorn chicken and its dipping sauce was a real treat for the taste buds. The chicken is double fried but is not dry on the inside and the dipping sauce has the perfect bite of spices to it. The summer rolls are huge. Your choice of protein or vegetables only. They really could be a meal within themselves and the vegetables were very fresh with lots of vegetable crunch in every bite. The Caramelized Pork came with sticky rice and cooked with hard boiled eggs. It was as good as it sounds (which is very good). The portion sizes were very good with my order easily being enough for two people with some leftovers. Truly, the summer rolls are so large that you cannot help but have leftovers. Parking can be very tricky here. There are yellow painted loading zones in front of the restaurant and the mom & pop grocery store next door so if you are just picking up an order that had already been placed, you shouldn't have a problem. You may find yourself desperately looking for a place to park though. Keep that in mind but don't let that scare you off. You will be thankful for the effort you put in when you are finally home and enjoying the fruits of your troubles. BTW, I hear that their Bahn Mi sandwiches are so good. I look forward to trying that next time.“
“My go-to spot in Chinatown Los Angeles for Pho!Very quick prompt service. This place tends to get filled with hungry, happy customers pretty rapidly.Don't worry, just tell them your party size and they'll get to you sooner rather than later. IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT! With quick service, you'll be seated in no time.I've been coming here since, like 2012.There is street parking and some parking lots around. So you have the luxury of choosing your perfered parking. Basically, there's free parking and paid parking all around the restaurant.Treat your stuff to some amazing Pho, and lasty, don't forget about the spring rolls with peanut sauce for appetizers !My girlfriend is vegetarian, so she ordered #22 on the menu: vegetarian tofu with rice noodles or egg noodles. Size small or regularI ordered the #15: well done brisket, fatty brisket, tendon, and tripe. Size largeWe prefer to get the rice noodles!Vegetarian options: #22 on the menu is vegetarian tofu with rice noodle or egg noodle Pho“
“We almost drove right by the restaurant because there was no sign, but fortunately we found our way in to the cozy bungalow dining room. We ordered the turmeric fish hotpot which was full of flavor with crispy rice and soft flavor fish that was amazing. Everything else we ordered did not disappoint--the watercress salad with beef was fresh and tender, steamed rice cakes with shredded shrimp and taro root crispy rolls were unique spins on traditional dishes that were really shareable and delicious. Definitely will come back!“
“We wanted something healthy but flavorful for dinner and happened upon this place in the neighborhood, pretty no frills on the inside. Clearly a big focus on deliveries, but there's plenty of tables. We each got a steak banh mi and WOW was it good! So much flavor, and the bread was perfect; hard enough to hold it together, but easy to bite into. The crispy spring rolls were perfect as well, clearly freshly made and decently sized. We also split some noodles and were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. Definitely will be back.“
“BEST pad see ewe I've had in LA! I'm quite picky when it comes to Thai food. I'm one for authenticity when it comes to food in general. So I like to learn the history & stories behind the food, and the people the food represents. Very friendly & welcoming service. Bright, simple, and clean ambience. The fried mango-sticky rice rolls are an excellent and a quite ingenious version of the typical mango & sticky rice dessert! I also appreciated the check out process with their handheld device & they take Apple Pay. From the beginning as I entered I felt welcomed, again throughout the service was like being waited on by family, all smiles; and to the end of the meal, bows and smiles! 3 suggestions though: 1. The Thai tea could have been done with little less milk and more tea, and maybe offer other milk options like almond or soy milk, but it was still very flavorful and smooth! 2. I would like to see an upgrade in the glassware used for drinks like the Thai tea, hopefully in the near future. 3. Need better professional pictures up on Yelp. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical in trying this restaurant as I saw there were only 94 other reviews, yet it all averaged 5 stars! So I always make a point to try restaurants that possibly may have been overlooked or underrated. This place is definitely an authentic gem one all would enjoy! They actually deserve 10 stars I'll definitely be back again ;)“
“Visited on a Friday night around 8pm.Ambiance is really nice and perfect for a date night. The staff was so friendly and the restaurant is picturesque. We ordered the following:Salt and Peppered Paella (living): 4/5Yucca Friend Pho Beef Everything was so good!!! They have so many options and the waitress was really helpful in providing recommendations. The servings are huge! I honestly can’t wait to go back.Highly recommend!! FYI no alcohol is served there but they have really fun drinks and teas!“
“Last time I had Pho for the first time was at a different location and it wasn't good at all. So I was skeptical to try it again at this spot but MAN WAS THIS PHO GOOD. I had the shrimp pho and it was so flavorful and soo good. We also had some crispy dumplings which were also pretty good ! Service was great, very nice people attending us and making sure our dinner time was going well. And the place was just so calm and relaxing. We got there an hour before closing time so there wasn't as many people, which made the experience so much better. After this redeeming experience, I will definitely be coming back ! I 10/10 recommend this place :)“
“I stopped by with friends it was a pretty solid spot for pho and other delicious Vietnamese menu items.I had the avocado drink, spicy fried soft shell crab, “Lady’s on fire” Spicy Lo Mein Noodles, beef combo pho & braised marinated pork belly with egg & rice. The avocado drink was good but too much ice overall that you only get a small few gulps of the drink. The soft shell crab appetizer was phenomenal and my favorite dish of the bunch. Perfect flavor and cooked just right. The lady on fire was an excellent noodle dish. Flavor and spice was on point and it was cooked perfectly. The beef combo pho was also good, the meats were great and the broth was pretty good. A descent bowl of pho.The braised pork belly was good but I made the mistake of thinking it was going to be fried. It was still a solid dish, the sauce was delicious and sweet. The pork was very tender and flavorful.Customer service is great but sometimes it can get crowded and there might be some delays due to only a few working, but still a great dining experience.I’d definitely come back to this spot again to try their other menu items. Parking is valet only or street parking if available.“
“I should have taken a picture before I started devouring my food. Got the bowl with brown rice, crispy tofu and pretty much all the toppings. Had the traditional Fish sauce and cilantro ginger sauce. It's delicious. I feel like there aren't a lot of options in this area and this is a great one! Something for everyone. The bowl is huge so I'll probably save the rest for dinner. Highly recommend if you're looking for something tasty and healthy-ish in a hurry!“
“Food was great. They have a weird charging thing though about extra meat (you don’t get much extra) there was a guy blasting music next to me. I couldn’t enjoy my date. As well as the server barely coming to ask if we want a refill(it’s tap water for people like me who HATE sink water) we had to like chase them down for the check. And that took forever to come. Good food and place, very homey and cozy, bad service.“
“I love this place so much!! The prices are reasonable. You can make your pho a large for a small price. The fried shrimp egg rolls came out hot and fresh.FYI - they put the rare steak into the pho rather than on the side. If you want your meat rare then ask for it on the side.“
“Tasty Banh Mis. I always get the sardine along with either the pork or chicken. All made fresh to order. They include a small au jus of the specific Banh Mi you order-nice touch. ? Parking is a challenge since it right on Hyperion so if you see a spot, take it.“
“Downtown LA Pho stands out as the perfect spot if you crave authentic Vietnamese Pho right in the heart of the financial district of DTLA. The pho and soup base boast delightful flavors. The staff is exceptionally friendly, providing great service, and the portion sizes are satisfying. However, it's crucial to manage expectations and avoid comparing the food here to the offerings in San Gabriel Valley or Little Saigon area. -1 star for the pricing, but considering the prime location and convenience, it's understandable. I'll certainly return when in the financial district of DTLA and in the mood for Pho.Quick tip: You can find Downtown LA Pho inside the City National Plaza's food court, located on the bottom floor of the plaza.“
“Literally, my sister and I have been on a pho binge and we got to try château lemongrass on Friday night. We arrived around 8 PM and there was plenty of seating available. We are promptly served and we were able to order the vegetable pho and the rare steak pho. I thought the pho was very good and the soup was very flavorful. Lots of street parking is available and they also have outdoor seating as well.“
“Than Huu makes an excellent Bahn Mi. The baguette is perfect, the ingredients are simple and fresh and there are basically two items on the menu. Bahn Mi and soup; the do have a drink and tea menu as well. The service is very kind, friendly and gracious. Than Huu does have little stools and tables in the middle of an asian bazaar in Chinatown.“
“My favourite place in Downtown LA. It has the best pho bo, in fact the best I have had for the last 15 years (and I have tried Pho across different cities and countries). The pho banh cuon is a must try. The tom rang dish looked nice but didn't quite hit the spot - it's supposed to have more of a salty flavour than a sweet flavour overall, not the other way around. Lovely service. Highly recommend this place.“
“This order was delivered by GrubHub and was delivered in appropriate time. The flavor of the pho broth was a little underwhelming and left me wanting a stronger taste. The restaurant does take the time to create an authentic broth but may cut the time short, leading to a lighter flavor. Since the broth can easily make or break a good bowl of Pho, this broth is 4 out of 5 stars, which is great for a regular location. While it's not the best in the area, it still has decent flavor. The chicken was a little chewy and did not soften after sitting in the broth for a while. The freshness of the chicken is questionable. As a frequent pho enthusiast, I was disappointed that this restaurant did not offer spring rolls, which is my go-to appetizer when judging a pho restaurant. This time I opted for the fried egg rolls and I was not impressed with the texture or flavor. Everything in the egg roll tasted old and lacked a desirable flavor. The pho broth container and the chicken &noodles container were both of good quality, as there were no spills in the bag, and kept everything warm during delivery. However, the pho ingredients and the egg rolls were delivered in Styrofoam packaging which is environmentally irresponsible. As seen in the pictures, the container with the egg rolls was either cut or melted in an unusual way. I suspect the restaurant cut the box to allow for venting and to prevent melting. Getting rid of the Styrofoam containers would yield a higher service rating.Overall, not too bad. I'd visit this restaurant again if I'm in the area.“
“Delicious pho - the pho dac biet is perfect. Really clean tasting broth, bright and refreshing. Healthy serving of sides for the pho. Great viet iced coffee. All of the meats in the combination pho are good quality, including the tendon and tripe. All in all it's everything a pho joint should be - fast service, great food, good prices.“
“Saw this restaurant on Door Dash. This is now my go to Vietbamese restaurant. Ingredients are fresh and everything is super flavorful. The spring rolls. Garlic noodles and shrimp fried rice are my fav. Looking forward to trying more items from their menu. I love the spice level of their food. That peanut dipping sauce is life. 10/10 would eat again.“
“It’s a simple pho restaurant with neat interior. The food was what I would expect from a pho place. Broth was good, Ingredients were fresh. Their Thai ice tea was also decent (- little watery but not too bad). There was a lot of room in the restaurant. Service wasn’t anything special… the server wasn’t mean but not nice either.I don’t know, it was good but nothing special…Parking is valet only $3. I might come back if I have a craving and it’s close by but nothing made me think that it was my new and only pho place.Parking: $3 in 2023“
“Best Pho in LA. Get the meat raw, the broth will cook it - super high-quality meat, a huge portion of fantastic tasting broth and fresh basil and bean sprouts.Thai tea is also fantastic. The people working there are super helpful and kind too!And the prices are great too - dining room could use a little work but it’s great if you got stuff to go!“
“Came here with some friends and decided to have the Charboiled Beef With Rice (I'm not a fan of Phở, even though I've tried it countless of times in countless different places. The meat was seasoned to PERFECTION. I actually wanted to order a SECOND meal JUST like the one I had just finished having when I ate it. It was THAT good. Service was also great. It was around 12 of us and they handled our orders so quickly and efficiently. Definitely a place to check out for good Vietnamese food.“
“This vietnamiese restraunt has lots of delicious food and the presentation of the food is just fantastic! I would highly reccomend the vermicelli bowl and please try their Thai tea! Probably the best Thai tea I ever had ☺️Vegetarian options: Salad rolls , mango sticky rice“
“Very unfortunate rating I have to give, because I actually enjoyed the pho. I originally ordered the oxtail pho, but after like 10 minutes found out they were sold out.The broth was nicely seasoned, not as clean/clear as I’d like though, the rib eye was okay, but there were not enough noodles. Anyway, I ordered shrimp egg rolls as well. I was almost done with my pho before they came out. Yet and still? They came out FROZEN! Not cold, or old, FROZEN!“
“I've been coming here for so long. This might be the best Vietnamese Sandwich shop in town. It's authentic Vietnamese for sure. They also bake their bread in-house and I've overhead other customers raving about it, sometimes coming in just to buy the bread! Also, try their Vietnamese coffee with your sandwich! I love that they sell other items at the counter in addition to their sandwiches; banh gio, cha lua, banh bot loc, just to name a few. In gacy, I'm craving their food as I'm writing this review! There is indoor seating available, parking is limited but it seems like most customers get their food to go so parking doesn't seem to be an issue.“
“It was completely unexpected when I stepped in.A clean, bright and spacious restaurant with a slight sense of design. If you didn’t tell me, I thought it was an online beauty coffee shop. It’s rare to get hot soup in the United States. This Vietnamese pho restaurant is my go-to soup dish these days in the United States. The enhanced flavor of the nine-story pagoda and the high-quality beef,Paired with Q-bombed rice noodles, it’s really a perfect meal! And a bowl of beef sambal pho is less than US$20.Really thank God I can only give it a thumbs up!The roasted pork neck and spring rolls are also quite good. And it’s close to the Hollywood area,Definitely the best food choice while visiting tourist attractions!“
“My favorite, go-to Thai food in LA and the best krapow on the west side. Better than any other kra-pow I’ve found here by a mile. Noodles are amazing. Always nice and extremely fast service, very reasonable prices. Every once in a while I’ll try somewhere new and I always come back here.“
“Love their combination meal. It either comes with 1 spring roll or 2 egg rolls a bowl of brisket and rare steak pho, and a drink. For about $18 or so. You can add a Thai tea for an additional cost but definitely worth it. They also open at 9am which is convenient.“
“In my opinion, this is the best bowl of pho I've had in LA and I've tried them all. I think the reason I'm giving this business four stars has to do with both the ambience and the selections on the menu. For starters, they do not offer other traditional Vietnamese dishes, like spring rolls, or bun. It seems that it is very limited to Pho and some fried options. The ambience was very bright, and the music was a bit loud for my taste. I like something a little bit more subdued, but I understand that I'm being a bit picky. But the actual Pho itself? Unbelievably flavorful. Another complaint, they do not offer the nuc bro which is traditionally available at every pho place I've ever been to. On the plus side, they have what it is almost a salad bar type, set up where you can grab the sides for the Pho that you want: lime slices, basil, bean, sprouts, jalapeño slices, and onions. This is perfect for me because I like to have a little more basil and onion, but I don't care for the jalapeño and that way none gets wasted on me. If you're only interested in getting a bowl of pho, you are in the right place. I will be back here again for sure.“
“Ordered the combination pho and my husband ordered the house pho. Combination pho broth was more spice flavored vs the house pho. Combination pho had too much stringy tripe for my liking. They give a lot of meat and noodles in the bowl and love that they don't skimp on the sliced onions. Definitely will come back for pho when in the area.“
“I am an Asian food fanatic and am pretty picky about foods and this place did NOT disappoint. We got the Saigon Porkchop which was a 12/10!! We also had the beef salad appetizer that I can’t recommend ENOUGH! Our server was so nice and relatable and Janet was so kind and friendly. We’re just visiting LA and the only downside is that we won’t have this restaurant back home :,). Planning on coming back here before we leave. PLEASE COME HERE !! - I also have never written a review about a restaurant before but this place made me want to IMMEDIATELY. THANK YOU FOR THE BEST SERVICE AND FOOD !!“
“This is my new favorite hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese food. They also have dishes that other Viet restaurants do not have on their menu. My daughter is a vegetarian and was beyond satisfied with the vegetarian Pho and eggrolls; which was the best I ever had.“
“One of the best pho spots in West LA! Per recs, I got chef's special and it was LOADED with tender ribs and tendon. They gave us a free bun thit - which they made accidentally and it was SO delicious too! Definitely recommend ordering the egg rolls as an appetizer. Patio seating is nice alongside the street of Sawtelle. Service was great and checked in on us frequently.“
“Vegetarian options: I really love this place it’s so amazing . I also love to eat noodles from this specific place . Owner is so nice and kind . Noodles and fried rice are so delicious. They have good vegetarian options too along with non vegetarian. That’s my favorite place for Chinese food . Love it ??“
“A casual, quick spot for pho and other Thai and Vietnamese dishes. I walked up on a Sunday and there was a short wait but once we were seated, we were served quickly, the food was really good, and the staff were on top of everything. This place is especially great because they have sake and beer and the prices are reasonable. If you’re vegan, be sure to clarify with the server. Definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled vegetarian section. Ask for vegan options.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options to order, be sure to specify with server.Parking: The free parking lot fills up quickly since it’s shared with other restaurants but there is free and metered street parking. Los Feliz is just tough especially on a weekendWheelchair accessibility: All one level“
“I came here for some phô with friends figuring I would find something on the menu, being LA. Turns out they have a whole vegan menu! The phô was great and I saw that they had bahn mi and knew that I'd have to come back. I did and will come back again too. Everything I had was great. Bahn mi was spicy and came with great taro fries. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-13“
“A long time friend took me to this restaurant. It was the first time I ever had Vietnamese food. I had the Pho Chicken lunch special. The chicken breast was very good. What I liked about it is that you could add sliced jalapeno and lime slices for taste and add bean sprouts for substance. The mixture into the hearty broth made for a very tasty lunch. The restaurant was mostly simple in its design except for the fancier bar area and the decorated windows. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back to this restaurant.“
“We went to Blossom in search of good pho since the place we usually go was closed. They did not disappoint! I ordered the vegetarian pho which had a super delicious broth with a pleasant ginger flavor. The tofu and veggies were good we well. Blossom is located in a historic square in Chinatown that should not be missed. Great ambiance and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend.“
“I love this place. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The seating and atmosphere are comfortable and the people who work there are kind and expedient. The prices are pretty fair and it's definitely a place you'd want to go back to for lunch or dinner.“
“This is everything a Vietnamese sandwich shop should be. #1 or #3, iced coffee, a produce box on top of a milk crate for seating, and soap operas on the tele. It's a food stall. Nothing more, nothing less. Walked out of there with 3 Bahn Mis, iced coffee, and a soda for $25 (not including tip; don't forget to tip). Actually, I walked out without anything because...soaps operas. Just left with a memory of what I wish I had at home“
