“Really great pad see ew and good service. The soft drinks have free refills and come in huge glasses so that's a plus as well. The restaurant was quiet and the tables were a bit close together, so that wasn't ideal, but overall def worth it for the great food.“
“This was our first time coming here and Peter is the best! He helped my boyfriend and I figure out how to eat the hot pot correctly. It was so good! There is a bar where you get all your toppings and already made sushi then bring it back and cook your food in the hot broth! I am definitely coming back again! I would recommend this place to anyone that loves good Asian food. Good experience and great staff!“
“This is everything a Vietnamese sandwich shop should be. #1 or #3, iced coffee, a produce box on top of a milk crate for seating, and soap operas on the tele. It's a food stall. Nothing more, nothing less. Walked out of there with 3 Bahn Mis, iced coffee, and a soda for $25 (not including tip; don't forget to tip). Actually, I walked out without anything because...soaps operas. Just left with a memory of what I wish I had at home“
“I had been hearing a lot of good things about the food here so I finally made my way into Silverlake to check it out. As you are probably already aware, this is a take out or delivery restaurant. You cannot dine in here. You actually can't even enter the building. The front door is a two piece door and when they are open for business, the top part of the door will be open. You order from there and then wait on the sidewalk for your order to be ready. You can also call in an order in advance or use various delivery services. There was not anyone waiting to order when I got there so I was able to walk directly up to the door and immediately order. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes for my order to be prepared and in those 10 minutes they got very busy. Six people came up to pickup phone or delivery orders during that time and those pickups went very quickly. A line began to form to order during that time and when I left with my order there were 5 other people who had placed others and were now waiting for their orders to be prepared and an additional 7 other people waiting in line to place orders. They prepare their food quickly but keep in mind, they need to cook the food after you place your order. If there is already a line to place your order and people waiting for their food to finish cooking, all of that will add to the amount of time it will take before your order has been prepared. If you are in a hurry and need your order quickly, perhaps you should consider another restaurant such as a fast food restaurant. They do prepare the food as quickly as they can but keep in mind, you will wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes at a minimum and the more people you see standing around out front will add to that wait time. Is it worth the wait? Oh yes, it is worth it. I had the popcorn chicken, Summer Rolls and the Caramelized Pork. The Popcorn chicken and its dipping sauce was a real treat for the taste buds. The chicken is double fried but is not dry on the inside and the dipping sauce has the perfect bite of spices to it. The summer rolls are huge. Your choice of protein or vegetables only. They really could be a meal within themselves and the vegetables were very fresh with lots of vegetable crunch in every bite. The Caramelized Pork came with sticky rice and cooked with hard boiled eggs. It was as good as it sounds (which is very good). The portion sizes were very good with my order easily being enough for two people with some leftovers. Truly, the summer rolls are so large that you cannot help but have leftovers. Parking can be very tricky here. There are yellow painted loading zones in front of the restaurant and the mom & pop grocery store next door so if you are just picking up an order that had already been placed, you shouldn't have a problem. You may find yourself desperately looking for a place to park though. Keep that in mind but don't let that scare you off. You will be thankful for the effort you put in when you are finally home and enjoying the fruits of your troubles. BTW, I hear that their Bahn Mi sandwiches are so good. I look forward to trying that next time.“
“This is officially my favorite pho spot! Went about four times in a span of two weeks, and took my best friend for his first ever time trying this food! He loved it! And he's super picky, so I know it must've been really good lolThe place is really small and cute, and service has always been great, only once I went in, and was told oh, sit wherever you want, and then, when I did, they moved me to a smaller table, because the bigger tables were for big groups only, but then a group of two walked in when we were still there, they sat them in the same table we had attempted to sit, so that wasn't that great, but I don't want to put the blame on the location, because again the food is great and every other time I've gone to service has been amazing. Will definitely be returning soon.“
“We wanted something healthy but flavorful for dinner and happened upon this place in the neighborhood, pretty no frills on the inside. Clearly a big focus on deliveries, but there's plenty of tables. We each got a steak banh mi and WOW was it good! So much flavor, and the bread was perfect; hard enough to hold it together, but easy to bite into. The crispy spring rolls were perfect as well, clearly freshly made and decently sized. We also split some noodles and were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. Definitely will be back.“
“BEST pad see ewe I've had in LA! I'm quite picky when it comes to Thai food. I'm one for authenticity when it comes to food in general. So I like to learn the history & stories behind the food, and the people the food represents. Very friendly & welcoming service. Bright, simple, and clean ambience. The fried mango-sticky rice rolls are an excellent and a quite ingenious version of the typical mango & sticky rice dessert! I also appreciated the check out process with their handheld device & they take Apple Pay. From the beginning as I entered I felt welcomed, again throughout the service was like being waited on by family, all smiles; and to the end of the meal, bows and smiles! 3 suggestions though: 1. The Thai tea could have been done with little less milk and more tea, and maybe offer other milk options like almond or soy milk, but it was still very flavorful and smooth! 2. I would like to see an upgrade in the glassware used for drinks like the Thai tea, hopefully in the near future. 3. Need better professional pictures up on Yelp. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical in trying this restaurant as I saw there were only 94 other reviews, yet it all averaged 5 stars! So I always make a point to try restaurants that possibly may have been overlooked or underrated. This place is definitely an authentic gem one all would enjoy! They actually deserve 10 stars I'll definitely be back again ;)“
“Wow such a delicious Vietnamese restaurant!!We found street parking ($5) but I believe there is a lot nearby which is $5 for all day.We ordered the-Vietnamese coffee (tasty and less ice so I appreciated that a lot)-Pho (so good and not a lot of MSG and clean broth)-Chicken banh mi (delicious and fresh)-Vermicelli noodles with carrots, cucumbers, and other delicious toppings! So filling and healthy! The lady is very nice and we enjoyed our meal immensely!“
“This place is amazing. Food is great, service is top notch the only complaint I have is the plastic dividers. But I understand that’s required in restaurants now. They’re a bit too close to your seat.Spring rolls. Are frrrresh!Pho is Hot as advertised and affordable. Good prices! Fresh ingredients!Highly recommend the ban mi.“
“I have eaten the pho here twice and have been impressed both times. The food is fresh, delicious and the portion is good. This is one of my favorite pho places in this area. They are never too crowed when I visit for lunch and the atmosphere is wonderful. It is privately owned and the service is great! Definitely recommended!“
“We accidentally stepped into this restaurant in the neighborhood and found out it was really amazing! We didn't expect it to be a vegan restaurant until we saw the menu. It was a little confusing at first to see the 'bean meat,' but as the dishes came out, they were so good, bringing us a sense of freshness and purity from eating vegan food. And they all tasted great without any synthetic feeling.“
“Downtown LA Pho stands out as the perfect spot if you crave authentic Vietnamese Pho right in the heart of the financial district of DTLA. The pho and soup base boast delightful flavors. The staff is exceptionally friendly, providing great service, and the portion sizes are satisfying. However, it's crucial to manage expectations and avoid comparing the food here to the offerings in San Gabriel Valley or Little Saigon area. -1 star for the pricing, but considering the prime location and convenience, it's understandable. I'll certainly return when in the financial district of DTLA and in the mood for Pho.Quick tip: You can find Downtown LA Pho inside the City National Plaza's food court, located on the bottom floor of the plaza.“
“We were a party of three. Place was not too busy. Our food came out great. Here is what I got. Classic pho soup and an order of wings. The wings did not disappoint. It would have been nice to have been checked on more throughout our meal. We had to flag down our server. Would definitely come back in the future.Parking: I found a valet attendant at the back of the building. He said he does not make an hourly wage, just off of tips. I gave that man $10.Kid-friendliness: I saw a family in here so there was that.“
“Finally found some good pho in SFV. It’s actually more than good, it’s soul-warmingly delicious.Broth is rich and well balanced. The place is clean and customer service was great. There isn’t that much seating but there are still like 5-6 tables.Surprisingly though I think the best thing about this place is their Banh mi. Their bread is perfectly crispy but not to the point of ruining the roof of your mouth. It’s just a perfect melody of fresh ingredients and contrast of crunchy, savory, sour, and creamy from the mayo“
“The food was extremely good. The shaky, shaky beef was perfectly tender and very tasty. The pho was very good, (8.5/10) and the spring rolls were perfect. The ambiance is very warm and inviting, and I will definitely be back again. The servers were very friendly. Would love to see some nice lunch specials that the chef could experiment with.“
“THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! The food, the service and the ambiance is so lovely. The pho was quickly served to our table and the staff is so incredibly kind. I got the vegan/ veggie pho and the broth was super flavorful.Thank you for a fantastic experience. We will be back ??“
“This order was delivered by GrubHub and was delivered in appropriate time. The flavor of the pho broth was a little underwhelming and left me wanting a stronger taste. The restaurant does take the time to create an authentic broth but may cut the time short, leading to a lighter flavor. Since the broth can easily make or break a good bowl of Pho, this broth is 4 out of 5 stars, which is great for a regular location. While it's not the best in the area, it still has decent flavor. The chicken was a little chewy and did not soften after sitting in the broth for a while. The freshness of the chicken is questionable. As a frequent pho enthusiast, I was disappointed that this restaurant did not offer spring rolls, which is my go-to appetizer when judging a pho restaurant. This time I opted for the fried egg rolls and I was not impressed with the texture or flavor. Everything in the egg roll tasted old and lacked a desirable flavor. The pho broth container and the chicken &noodles container were both of good quality, as there were no spills in the bag, and kept everything warm during delivery. However, the pho ingredients and the egg rolls were delivered in Styrofoam packaging which is environmentally irresponsible. As seen in the pictures, the container with the egg rolls was either cut or melted in an unusual way. I suspect the restaurant cut the box to allow for venting and to prevent melting. Getting rid of the Styrofoam containers would yield a higher service rating.Overall, not too bad. I'd visit this restaurant again if I'm in the area.“
“We went to Blossom in search of good pho since the place we usually go was closed. They did not disappoint! I ordered the vegetarian pho which had a super delicious broth with a pleasant ginger flavor. The tofu and veggies were good we well. Blossom is located in a historic square in Chinatown that should not be missed. Great ambiance and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend.“
“I was pleasantly surprised. Since it’s a new location, I wasn’t expecting my bowl to be as delicious as it was. I must mention that the tofu bites are a must try. The toppings are unlimited when you BYO bowl, a great touch. I also recommend the peanut sauce (sauces are in generous portions btw). The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the brown rice; it tasted odd. Service was expressly pleasant and she answered all my questions with a smile. Clean bathrooms and clean tables, always a plus with a fast casual place. Will come back!“
“Best Pho in LA. Get the meat raw, the broth will cook it - super high-quality meat, a huge portion of fantastic tasting broth and fresh basil and bean sprouts.Thai tea is also fantastic. The people working there are super helpful and kind too!And the prices are great too - dining room could use a little work but it’s great if you got stuff to go!“
“I love this place. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The seating and atmosphere are comfortable and the people who work there are kind and expedient. The prices are pretty fair and it's definitely a place you'd want to go back to for lunch or dinner.“
“Ordered an order of pho and spring rolls to go yesterday. The pho broth is exceptional and has such depth in flavor. The spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce was divine. Can’t wait to dine in and try the food as soon as it’s prepared. 5/5 “
“Dining in is a pleasant, tasty experience and take out is just as good. The vegetarian pho is both light and filling and the egg rolls are a delight. Friendly staff, great pho.Dietary restrictions: I went with a friend with a gluten intolerance and the staff was very careful to provide a safe option for his meal.“
“I came to this place with my friend today, and I absolutely loved it. The beef noodle pho was so comforting and the portion size was amazing. The ladies were super sweet. every dish we got was so flavorful and delicious even the drinks! I would totally come back here if I’m back in LA.“
“Very unfortunate rating I have to give, because I actually enjoyed the pho. I originally ordered the oxtail pho, but after like 10 minutes found out they were sold out.The broth was nicely seasoned, not as clean/clear as I’d like though, the rib eye was okay, but there were not enough noodles. Anyway, I ordered shrimp egg rolls as well. I was almost done with my pho before they came out. Yet and still? They came out FROZEN! Not cold, or old, FROZEN!“
“It’s a simple pho restaurant with neat interior. The food was what I would expect from a pho place. Broth was good, Ingredients were fresh. Their Thai ice tea was also decent (- little watery but not too bad). There was a lot of room in the restaurant. Service wasn’t anything special… the server wasn’t mean but not nice either.I don’t know, it was good but nothing special…Parking is valet only $3. I might come back if I have a craving and it’s close by but nothing made me think that it was my new and only pho place.Parking: $3 in 2023“
“Got pulled in by this place as I was walking by and thank gawd I did!! What a dope little spot, top notch vietnamese cuisine and the staff is so great - Melissa is a gem! For the plant-based homies, they have an extra menu just for us! So happy I had a dentist appointment next door, Gingergrass just became a regular in the rotation.Vegetarian options: Everything is great!Dietary restrictions: Great for plant-based options!!“
“Vegetarian options: I really love this place it’s so amazing . I also love to eat noodles from this specific place . Owner is so nice and kind . Noodles and fried rice are so delicious. They have good vegetarian options too along with non vegetarian. That’s my favorite place for Chinese food . Love it ??“
“At Vui Vu, the heart of their pho lies in their delicious broth. While many establishments in town falter with their attempts at authentic pho broth, Vui Vu stands out with its rich, flavorful rendition that truly anchors the entire dining experience. Every spoonful reveals a depth of flavor that speaks to their dedication and expertise. The accompanying side ingredients, fresh and vibrant, serve as perfect complements, harmonizing with the broth to create a symphony of taste.Their spring rolls are a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. Each roll boasts a satisfying crunch, hinting at the freshness of the ingredients within. But it's the peanut sauce, with its balanced flavors and creamy texture, that elevates the rolls from good to exceptional. It's the kind of dish that lingers in your memory, urging you to return for just one more bite.Beyond the culinary delights, Vui Vu also excels in customer experience. My order, delivered seamlessly by GrubHub, arrived punctually and in good condition. A special nod to their eco-friendly packaging, which not only underscores their commitment to sustainability but also ensures that the food reaches you without any unfortunate leaks or mishaps. In an age where attention to detail can set a restaurant apart, Vui Vu demonstrates excellence at every turn, making it a must-visit for pho enthusiasts and food lovers alike.“
“Great place to get your essential dose of Pho. Delicious broth, cool nostalgic environment inside, audio cassettes as menus.Lots of daylight and good vibes inside. Located perfectly so you can visit The Academy Museum/LACMA or other fun stuff that is in the area.“
“This vietnamiese restraunt has lots of delicious food and the presentation of the food is just fantastic! I would highly reccomend the vermicelli bowl and please try their Thai tea! Probably the best Thai tea I ever had ☺️Vegetarian options: Salad rolls , mango sticky rice“
“This place is absolutely legit and delicious!! From Pho, Bun, and to Bahnmi, everything is delicious! Even the rice plate!! I haven’t had a bad meal at Ktown Pho, ever!! Don’t sleep on the bahn-mi. They use real pork belly but it kinda tastes like 족발. Only place in town to get it. Run and eat here. You can thank me later!❤️❤️❤️❤️????“
“Tasty Banh Mis. I always get the sardine along with either the pork or chicken. All made fresh to order. They include a small au jus of the specific Banh Mi you order-nice touch. ? Parking is a challenge since it right on Hyperion so if you see a spot, take it.“
“Nice and cool temperature inside, the food was delicious and soemthing totally different than what I would ever eat. Nice sour flavor, got it with the combo of meats, comes with rice and I didnt know how spicy it was until I ate 3 green chilis I thought looked like string beans. Man, was I coughing for a good min. The food was filling though, portion was perfect. Best way to spend the evening out with the gf.“
“In my opinion, this is the best bowl of pho I've had in LA and I've tried them all. I think the reason I'm giving this business four stars has to do with both the ambience and the selections on the menu. For starters, they do not offer other traditional Vietnamese dishes, like spring rolls, or bun. It seems that it is very limited to Pho and some fried options. The ambience was very bright, and the music was a bit loud for my taste. I like something a little bit more subdued, but I understand that I'm being a bit picky. But the actual Pho itself? Unbelievably flavorful. Another complaint, they do not offer the nuc bro which is traditionally available at every pho place I've ever been to. On the plus side, they have what it is almost a salad bar type, set up where you can grab the sides for the Pho that you want: lime slices, basil, bean, sprouts, jalapeño slices, and onions. This is perfect for me because I like to have a little more basil and onion, but I don't care for the jalapeño and that way none gets wasted on me. If you're only interested in getting a bowl of pho, you are in the right place. I will be back here again for sure.“
“Parking Small but you can find parking in the lot. Take note that this parking slots are super small. I take my smaller car when coming here because I don't want my car to get dinged. Food Yellow curry with rice is delicious. What I like about this place is that things aren't greasy here and you can taste the freshness. I like the crab Rangoon an appetizer. Dunken noodles is a popular item here and it's tasty. I honestly haven't tried anything here that isn't flavorful. The pad Thai is also good, Drinks If you like Thai tea, try the Thai lemonade, it's surprisingly good, They sell soft drinks in the can.“
“The food was good. First time coming into the restaurant and what I liked was the cashier guided me through the menu. He was very helpful. Even after I told him I couldn’t eat too much because I knew I was going to feel sleepy, he gave me a try of their in house coffee. It was goood by the way! He made my experience excellent! Great energy.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp into the corner eating areas and restaurants“
“Fantastic meal. We were able to get a table, which was lucky because this location has limited seating. Really miss the Blossom at Sunset Junction! Not sure why they closed, it was always so crowded and lovely. Happy it still exists in Atwater now. Wish they had more seating is the only reason for 1 fewer star!“
“My wife and I came here to grab lunch. We haven't been here since 2019 when we first started dating and I wanted to try it again. There parking everywhere in Burbank like the street, parking lot or structure. When we walked in, we were seated right away and given a menu. I already knew what I wanted and it was the same for my wife but it took a while to get the waiter to come back to take our order. I got the Filet Mignon pho and upgraded to a large. My wife for their chicken pho, chicken spring rolls and Vietnamese iced coffee. It took a while for our pho to come out, the spring rolls came out first and we thought it was alright. Usually at other pho places, it come out quick but it took like 10 minutes to come out. They also brought someone else's order to our table and I told them we didn't order it. When my Filet Mignon pho came, the noodles were all stuck together like a ball and the meat was already cooked. It seem like upgrading to a large bowl just means more water because I compared it to my wife chicken pho place and it was about the same a lot of noodles. My wife thought her chicken pho was alright but the chicken was already overcooked. She also thought the Vietnamese iced coffee was too strong so we asked for more condensed milk which helped a little. This wouldn't be our go to pho place because we prefer another place more.Vegetarian options: They have some non meat dish on their menuParking: There a lot of parking around burbank near the restrauantKid-friendliness: This place is kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible and has a ramp inside.“
“Been a few years since we've been here and they've modernize the place. Menu got an update as well. I got #1-pho special and my husband got #4 also pho ? still delicious, we both almost emptied the huge bowl but the broth towards the end felt too salty, still as good as I remembered it and price is somewhat affordable compared to other places6 years ago:Love their pho, my husband love their #51. Portions are big for the pho and I'm always full, satisfied and happy after consuming the big bowl of noodles and broth.Very occasionally I order the porridge with ofalls and deep fried bread - just hit the spot for me. Prices are still affordable even though they've raised a little. Everyone that I brought to this place enjoys their food. It's a very simple restaurant, nothing fancy and get very crowded during meal times.“
“Small restaurant along a strip of small restaurants but we keep coming back here for very tasty Vietnamese faire. Just ordered the Bun Cha (rice noodles with pork in fish sauce) by accident and found out it's delicious despite the funny stuff collection of ingredients.“
“We all the same idea on this cold day in LA. That idea was PHO! We were ok our way to our usual spot when we saw that jr was CLOSED! So i thought to myself no fear let me yelp! Seoul pho showed that it was .2 miles away from where we were. SAY LESS! We parked inside the California marketplace parking structure (free parking now!) and we saw a few people going the same way we were! Of course they were getting pho too!We went inside the top Terrace where indoor food court is and where Seoul pho is located. The line moved fast and the menu was simple enough i did order shrimp egg rolls i think that's what they were? Aside from my Beef pho!PORTIONS are 10/10 and so is the flavor! and on our cashier was very sweet. Well definitely return!“
“Walking in felt like home, the decor was like a mother's home, the cute bar in middle. Very small establishment but the food and drinks made up for that. The fried chicken with fish sauce was delicious. The crab rice was also deliciously good. I can't remember the name of the drink I had but it was so tasty and strong. I will recommend coming here for good drinks and good food.“
“This is pho-king GOOOD!!! OK so I love pho but I hadn't had it a couple years (drag me). This was my first time trying this spot. This bowl literally restored my faith in humanity. Parking in this area is always a lil scarce but it's well worth it.The service here is great! The staff is super friendly and informative about the different flavor profiles the restaurant has to offer. The location is clean and all that, don't even get me started on the food. Straight up delicious. I ordered the fish pho and OMG with the combination of spices and sauces it was mouthwateringly good. It was super flavorful and combined w the fresh herbs it was OVER.Loved my meal here + I had plenty of leftovers! I'm absolutely coming back lol“
“Service was great and came out quick. The Thai tea was a10/10. The chicken in pho was a little over done but other than that really good. Also portion sizes were massive. I ate as much as I could and still had another big portion to take home. Would definitely come back to try other menu items. I love how they're open late too.“
“Excellent Viet foods. Banh mi with turmeric fish is really perfect. Crispy french baguette. Delicious fish, pickled veggies plentiful. Shrimp wrapped in phyllo dough crispy delicious appetizer. Service is kind and efficient. Love their foods.“
“Been coming here for years . The Pho never disappoints. They serve it in a huge bowl with all the necessary garnishes including bean sprouts, lemon, fresh basil & jalapeños. Their spring rolls are delicious with the peanut sauce. Not a fan of spring roll try their dumplings sooo good. Thai tea is made to perfection as well.Staff is very nice. Clean bathroom , and very clean tables always!Parking isn’t always the best in the afternoon because that plaza gets busy but at night lots of spots.Parking: Metered parking all along WestwoodShared parking lot“
“We came here, because it was cheap, and we didn't have a lot of cash. Food was amazingly tasty. Good and spicy! We had the sour pork with egg (over sticky rice), and the pho beef (spicy). The sour pork was a fermented meat, and I don't know what the family recipe was there, but I've never tasted anything so flavorful. I don't care about fancy seating or ambiance; this food was killer and worth every dollar!“
“Best hole in the wall spot for amazing bahn mi! I didn’t see it on the menu, but we asked and it is something they serve. Great customer service - attentive enough to get you what you need when you need it, but not so overbearing like when you go to a restaurant and they ask you if you’re ready to order 30 times within 5 minutes of being seated. Loved this place, will be going back“
“We ordered, duck laab, beef laab, nam tok, banana leaf fish, beef noodle, sausage, papaya & skewers, they were all so delicious! We were so eager to eat, we didn't even take before photos. The lady taking our order was super nice as well.“
