“I ordered thru UberEATS and got a small menudo and order of handmade tortillas. It was so delicious, I even got 2 asada tacos I didn't order but we're very delicious and appreciated. The menduo was flavorful and hott and the handmade tortillas were so delicious. I didn't take a picture of everything as it was delicious and I was hungry“
“A lifetime of eating Mexican food, living in Mexico and speaking Spanish fluently couldn't have prepared me for the culinary whirlwind that I experienced last night at Damian. Accompanying friends who have been long time patrons of Damian served as personal tour guides through the labyrinth of menu selections that culminated in one of the most memorable meals I have ever had as a native Angelino. What makes Damian so remarkable is the layers of flavors that appear in every dish and the surprising combinations of ingredients that while seemingly so disparate, create a fusion of flavors that one wouldn't think possible in one cuisine. The service is impeccable and the environment relaxing, intimate and simply world class.“
“Easily the best wine list in Alhambra and possibly the SGV and Pasadena area. If you're looking for a curated wine list with excellent European and American options served alongside a stacked food menu this is your spot. It's not cheap but the quality of the food and service is well worth the price. We've needed elevated dining in Alhambra for years and we finally have it with Yang's.“
“Figured I would write a review after eating here multiple times a week for a couple years. These are the best tacos in Los Angeles. Always high quality and always delicious. The staff is always excellent and everything is always positive. Wishing them all nothing but the best!“
“This past weekend, I had the chance to visit Mirate without a reservation. Given it was Coachella weekend, I imagine it's usually tough to get a table here without a wait. Right from the moment we walked in and were directed to the bar area, I felt like something special was about to unfold. The environment was both open and lush, creating a sense of bliss similar to the feeling of being on vacation. The drinks menu was impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the La Soñadora, a clarified milk punch, out of the two I tried. We ordered five dishes, and four really stood out. I would definitely order the pork belly tacos, kampachi aguachile, jalapeño cornbread, and the baby gems again. We were too full to try the churros, although we wanted to. Our server was wonderful and played a big part in making our afternoon at Mirate a 5-star experience.“
“This is a very cool place. The food is delicious and the service is spot on. They have a motorcycle theme, and they have motorcycles on display, they have a store on premises to got swag. They have a tattoo parlor and a barber shop. It's really a cool place to go.“
“Perfect date night spot! Cocktails are excellent (Stargazer and Mariposa were my faves! Nor’easter was interesting and different and delicious) Staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. Pricey and small portions, but everything was delectable.“
“Highly recommend! I’ve been here twice now and had excellent experiences both times. The pizza is phenomenal—simple and perfectly done. The patio seating is particularly lovely, with several cacti and flowers and even the occasional hummingbird.“
“You will not find better service than when you enter Borjstar. Honestly, they treat you like a star. They are attentive and incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The food is just as great. Very flavorful and leaves you wanting more! They also have a yogurt/ice cream dispenser so you can treat yourself before/after your meal. Put Borjstar on your list of restaurants to visit in the Gardena/South Bay area. You won't regret it!“
“How this place isn’t the most talked about restaurant in LA will blow my mind. Incredible. Fantastic. I would eat here everyday if my wallet could afford.Get their Lomo Saltado taco and you will dream about it for the rest of your days. You’ve been warned.“
“Kyle is probably the best bartender I’ve ever known. He took great care of us every time my gf and I have been to 33 taps. Very friendly, and always attentive. Never had to wait long to get his attention for another round. The last time my gf and I went, we also had Laine and Bridget as a bartender cus I believe Kyle was on break, and they remembered our names, which we loved. They were also very attentive. I’ll always come back for Kyle, and now Laine and Bridget.Parking: Good parking“
“The ambience is great! Very nice and homey spot. The staff was very kind too. We ordered a bit of everything.Pros:Prices are very good for all the dishes. Nothing was over 15 dollars on the menu. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor. Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. Our server fixed it promptly so that was great.“
“I am so happy to have found a real, authentic Korean soul food place near home. If you like a bit of sweet, umami, soy-sauce, chilli flake flavor, you MUST try here. Thank me later.Last year my husband and I tried the galbi-jjim and was pleasantly surprised with how much passion and soul was put into that single dish. Almost exactly the way that my grandmother would make it. They use only the freshest ingredients, and absolutely no "old" taste. Galbi-jjim was sweet, salty, and nice subtle kick to it.Today we tried the eundaegu, which is fish. Ohh my goodness. Just like last year, the ingredients are SO fresh! The fish, which normally in restaraunts are a bit old, a bit chewy, some even foul smelling, but here, the fish was cooked to perfection. So soft, no fishy smell, and you can slither(?) the fish meat right off the bone. It was amazing. Then once you get to the cooked radish? Wow. I asked for a to-go box to take home little of what was left of the radish because I wanted to eat it again when I get home.Must try.The owners and the chef are extremely sweet and caring. It's hard to find restaraunts with passion, but this is one of them. The way the owner was laughing and helping the kitchen crew, you can tell the workplace was healthy and nice. Will probably go back again in a few weeks :)“
“We always love visiting Propaganda and this time was no different. The 4 Formaggi & Funghi is my new favorite pizza. This time we tried the boozy pandoro dessert and even 5 days later I'm still thinking of it. Can't wait to go back!“
“Very busy café for the “in-crowd” in the Los Feliz area with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating.Upon staff recommendation, I tried the chocolate chip bread pudding- which was absolutely massive and delicious! Not the best bargain at $10, but I’d say it was worth it and probably could have been shared with another person. There is also a bar in the room adjacent to the coffee shop/bakery, which was also very busy.Neat place to get delicious food and drinks, get some work done, or just sit and people watch.“
“Top tier dirty chai (they make their own chai) coupled with the unique smoked salmon bagel sandwich (with cream cheese, avocado, tajin, and berbere sauce) makes for an out of this world lunch!Add the decor and friendly staff and you’ll have yourself a memorable experience!“
“Went on a Sunday for brunch and there was a hefty wait around ~1-1.5hrs, which was completely expected for the area. We were fine with waiting as there's a lot of neat shops to explore and farmersmarket in the area. We ordered the breakfast burrito, spicy chicken sandwich, ceviche, and pepperoni pizza. The ceviche comes with homemade huge taro root chips - which was a nice touch! Everything was delicious but the chicken sandwich was really wet - to the point of needing to eat with a fork and knife. I personally would not order it again as it felt a bit too soupy for me but overall everything was tasty. Service was great and friendly. We sat outside as we had our husky with us - the place was very dog friendly outside.“
“Corn Man is my go-to spot in LA for satisfying late-night cravings with absolutely delicious corn on the cob. However, the surrounding neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, making it feel unsafe to hang around waiting for your order since there's only one corn man working.Despite encountering a few arguments with random passersby staring at me, the corn here is undeniably tasty and a definite must-try for those late-night munchies.“
“Quality comes with a price if you want to treat those taste buds to great tasting very fresh sushi.... then check out Santo... When food is great and quality is outstanding, then it's worth every penny... agree!?... This place will have you making your next reservation right after you leave, lol.... (maybe not, but it's the type of place that you will be back for more... Staff is great, friendly and they make you feel at home... Original Santo is located in Mexico City, and if you know the CDMX vibe, then you know this place has that... Great vibes all around, background music playing upbeat music. Place is small, so outside sitting is available to enjoy a nice day or to people watch down Sunset Street... or sit next to a stranger and maybe start a conversation?!... Parking can be a hassle, street parking only, and silverlake can get crowded, so be patient Awsome, top of the line sushi with a unique flavors Definitely recommend this spot!! When you go... Enjoy!!...“
“Always good. It's just always good. Great environment, relaxed but it you want to be fancy you'll still fit right in. Good service, great drinks, good food. Superb people watching. Everyone's preferred first date spot. If you arrive early you can visit the garden and say hello to the chickensParking is always the worst so be prepared to pay to park whether you park in a lot or valet just be aware that the valets are going to park your car on the street same as everyone else ?I wish they were open in the morning for coffee, even if it was just a little cart with simple coffee and pastries only.Parking: Parking is always the worst so be prepared to pay to park whether you park in a lot or valet just be aware that the valets are going to park your car on the street same as everyone else ?Everywhere in the vicinity is like that, the curse of a cool neighborhood. And also the city rezoned the parking and reduced the numbers of spots to maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of what there was and made huge unnecessary red zones everywhere, but that's another story ?☕“
“Such a cute little wine bar in the heart of DTLA! My friend and I decided to catch up over early dinner here. We ordered the coldbrew martini and the non-alcoholic prosecco. We also shared the caesar salad, meatballs, piquillo peppers, and the margherita flatbread. Everything was delicious and tasty. We were pleased with everything we ordered. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. Our service was efficient. There is no free parking available, but we paid to park in a lot nearby.“
“I'm laughing at people who think this place is overrated, cause it's not. Their tastebuds must be dead. Either that or they're so used to the taste of sh*t bagels. I'll admit, I refuse to wait in line when it's super long, which it always gets on weekends, and around brunch time. But when we come first thing when they open (we live nearby), hell yes will we indulge in a couple Simply Delicious bagels: salmon, cream cheese, capers, olive oil, pepper and lemon on a "burnt" everything bagel. I've never had a bagel so good. I didn't want to like Courage but I did. I actually ended up loving them. One thing to note, my husband fainted in line on a hot day waiting for our order there. Luckily I caught him! When the owner caught wind of what happened, he came outside to help us to our car and told us to relax while he personally brought out our order. When he came back, he brought my husband a complimentary orange juice. We were really convicted by his kindness. To anyone considering coming here, don't let the negative reviews dissuade you from giving it a try. The bagels are great and you'd be supporting a great small business with a solid owner.“
“Really delicious food. Tiny outside eating area. Valet parking, which is good because this isn't a neighborhood where you'd like to be walking around at night getting to your car.Kid-friendliness: NoWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“The sandwich is just perfect! The Italian sandwich is a must try!I wish it came with a pickle without having to pay an extra $1 for it. The sandwich is pretty pricey to come without any pickles.Black sesame dessert was also good but it would have been so much better if it was warm or fresh. Very hard to cut through.“
“This place is a 10/10 for sure! I can honestly respect the honesty from the owner as he did let us know before hand it would take an hour for the food to be ready. Totally worth the wait!!!! The food was made fresh to order and had so much flavor. I mean the shrimp plate was so delicious, everything we purchased was so delicious. Definitely going back again and trying different items.“
“"Sippin from your cup 'til it runneth over..." I heard JT performed at the Wiltern last night for free so I had his music on repeat in my head all day today during work. So of course I had to stop by here as soon as I saw the store name. I did NOT expect to find the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Period. I walked in and was greeted warmly and decided to just order the Original Sin and their version of classic milk. They were so nice and gave me another donut for free which was the Obrama. Everything was so scrumptious. I loved that the donuts weren't too big. The quality of the donut is so good that it only needs to be a smaller size to have the same effect as something larger. The outer texture and the crispness reminded me of the blueberry m&m donuts that they sell in OC where people line up for hours to buy. The donuts here taste better because the inside texture is a lot lighter and isn't as dense so you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards with regrets. I cannot wait to come back and get some for my family and friends. I wanted to test it out myself first prior to sharing with others. Yum! Also their classic milk was soooooo good and complimented the donuts so perfectly.“
“The place is gorgeous, especially if you love a nice terrace. The food... Is it because it's the only middle Eastern gluten free place, or is it because the ingredients are fresh, or is it because the preparation is perfect, or maybe it's all the small details... I think it's all of the above, one of the best middle Eastern places in LA, and the best gluten free one :) enjoy their manahish!“
“The Real Deal. From the hot and sour soup to the orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, garlic green beans, eggplant, lo mein, it’s got it all-we’ve been twice after a Kings game and have not been disappointed- we over order just to get the variety of flavors in our mouths. The food is fantastic, the staff is genuine and gets the importance of hospitality.“
“This place was awesome. First of all, Lena our waitress was so kind and willing to explain the menu to us as this was our first time. The food was delicious, I recommend getting a combo so you can try many different things. Not only was the food good but the experience was amazing as well. Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you Lena!“
“Get a delicious linch while dealing with parking tickets- DOT is right next door ?Love their turkish eggs and hubs likes their sandwiches. I adore black sesame lattes and theirs has a double shot of espresso ?Free parking in structure off of catalina when validated by them. Otherwise street parking on weekend is pretty easy too“
“Every time we visit LA we have come to the Edmond for years. They recently changed their license and unfortunately we didn’t find out until our friend came with her 18 yr. old daughter and we sat down and she had water and was carded and asked to leave. It is now 21 and over, so no more family meals here. It’s unfortunate, but true. Please Post a sign for those that have been coming for years and don’t check the website.“
“We are from Brazil and happened to find this amazing spot in LA. Absolutely worth the wait. We suggest that you try both corn in the cup and in the spike. I’m pretty sure we will have dreams about it. Super tasty, soft and crunchy at the same time… thank you, Corn Man!“
“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere. However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“
“Be prepared to spend some extra cash for a lunch outing. The line is long so if you don’t like to wait come on one of the weekdays that they are open. The food is good extra rich so beware if you’re the sensitive stomach or heartburn type. So try the key lime pie or the banana pudding because they will run out and it’s delicious!Overall, definitely save this place in your “want to goes”“
“I've googled myself into this place. After I ate I acknowledged it happened to be ranked 12th on the best 101 LA restaurants out there. Definitely earned spot. End up there eating twice during my short 10-day LA visit. Everything was fresh and superdelicious. And their salsas are an export quality. I ate a burito, and on the next visit i ate a chivichanga with guacamole and chips. Unfortunately, I didn't make any picture of it.“
“LOVE the torta Nona. They said they needed more business and I've tried posting on social media/tagging them but don't respond/share/maximize the word of mouth. Hoping they find ways to draw in that business! We're missing out if we don't have them on this block! Only gave it four Stars for atmosphere because it's on a busy street and it's pretty difficult to cross either on foot or in a car.“
“My first time at Little Barn.. a vegan spot. It was just after the rain so everything was soaked. I could tell that if things were dry then the back seating area would be cute. The person taking our order was nice but the service wasn't as helpful as I would have liked considering it was my first time. The food was good but not amazing. I ordered the tamales which I had to discard the masa as it was too thick and hard. The monte Cristo sandwich was pretty good. I really liked the strawberry chocolate scone though. That was really good. I would definitely try it again.“
“Great place for Pizza, wings, and beer. Enjoyed the lemon pepper wings the best personally. I also really like the pizza crust delicious! The mole pizza is great along with the meat lovers. Definitely my go to pizza place around the Lincoln Heights/Boyle Heights area“
“My absolute favorite place to go. Very attentive excellent staff, we love them all. Marc is the greatest. We feel like we’re home there. Very flavorful, satisfying food and large portions! What a fantastic beer selection. The Cali creamin is my favorite. Outstanding whiskey and tequila selection as well. And I love how they advise you on what drinks to pair with your choice of food. What a great happy hour menu, and we love their specialty drinks! We will continue to come back to the Morrison establishment. Until next time!“
“Hello Guys Marvin Here!!Just found this hidden gem in the most unlikely place Compton!Let me tell you they have it all the ambience is great they have a super duper bartender cashier who is super attentive! It is small but very confortable. Background muaic is nice! They have a craft beer rotation that includes your local California favorites like L.A ale works, Monkish, and alot of others! You cannot beat the prices come down they are child friendly.“
“The best bagel sandwich I’ve had yet! These bagels are not outshined by the ingredients inside like I’ve found with store-bought bagels. They’re so soft, chewy, and flavorful. The bacon egg and cheese are also delicious and filling. Store bagels have been ruined for me!“
“I ordered all of each tacos: Asada, Adobada, Pollo, Chorizo, Mushroom with Cebollitas with Aqua Fresca and it was the bomb! My boyfriend ordered Papa Loka with Adobada with Guacamole with Jamaica. I took a taste test and it was good and huge! Enough to share with two people.Vegetarian options: They have mushrooms tacos which are my favorite for vegan eaters.Parking: Come early to get a spot in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: You can take your kids to eat here.“
“Many who dine out know about the chicken sandwich craze which spread across the nation several years ago. From gourmet style to fast-food many eateries jumped in to offer their take. Le Coupe is no sleeper and from what I experienced ranks in the top of fried chicken with a twist. Many rave about Memphis style chicken and they should but Le Coupe uses its Louisiana Cajun heritage to make it a "must stop." Their sandwich is exceptional. If you're looking for basic fried chicken, this is NOT YOUR SPOT. Instead you will be treated to fried chicken drenched in a tasty hot, honey style sauce that is the perfect complement. The quality of the sandwich shines as while the chicken is superbly prepared, the bun, the slaw, the pickles take it to a new level. Some might raise an eyebrow over the $15 cost but again, this a'int fast food as you get what you pay for. Moving on, the rib of corn is so basic it's hilarious to mention. But, boy have they hit it out of the park with this appetizer. Ribs of corn are drenched in a mayonnaise chili sauce that makes it a very addictive dish. For $11, worth the experience. The potato salad (made with red potatoes) is fresh made (like the other items), very tasty and a nice presentation by being topped off with fresh chives. The drinks are another hit. Everything is freshly made. The lemonade was tasty and you could taste the quality. Again, at $6, you get what you pay for. LeCoupe is a tiny venue but cozy enough for several chairs, as well as a few outside. Everything is made from scratch but your order comes at a quick pace. Western and Melrose is a busy intersection, so the parking on Western can be tight so you will need some patience or street-smarts. Le Coupe has earned my business so if you're having the taste for some uniquely fried chicken (thighs or tenders) you can't go wrong with them. Price points may appear high but worth it based on the quality your receive.“
“I love this pizza , I costume made mine , is price but I don really care I treat my self ones a months my pizza usually cost 25 dlrs because I put so many toppings , but I love it !!!! And the service omg amazing thank you for making do happy went I eat your pizza !!“
“4++ great neighborhood coffee shop that has fun, chill vibes, and enthusiastic service. There's fun decor inside and looks like a place where people can hang out or get some reading and/or work done. I only got an Americano or drip from here (with added cream), so I can't really speak to the food items or any of the more complex, possibly more sugary drinks here. It looks like they roast their own beans here as well. I had a lot of coffee at home at the time of my visit, so I didn't buy a bag. I might have to come back and grab one. Parking was easy to find. There's a lot on the side of the building. If the lot is full, I'm pretty sure you could find street parking close by.“
“First off the portions are hefty and the presentation makes the entrees really appealing. Then comes the best part, you actually get to eat it. We've had Laotian food before as there are excellent ones in the SFV, but hands down this has to be the best by far. So far we've tried grilled beef plate w/ a side of papaya salad paired w/ chicken and sausage ala carte (instead of the plate) and they were all in scrumptious. The saucesParking: It is located in a multi use apartment above/commercial businesses below. So the parking is actually where the tenants also park which leaves plenty of spaces for the restaurant and it's free. No ticket and validation required.“
“Fluffys Sno-balls is a must try! I was greeted in the most welcoming way and introduced to the best flavors! All I had to say was the flavors I loved the most; Pineapple, coconut and Mango ? I was asked if I liked Tajin and chamoy and BAMN the best flavored sno-ball was made. You can taste all 3 flavors and the ice was so soft ( not crunchy ) the texture was perfect. Definitely a spot to go to now that summer is coming up!Kid-friendliness: Variety of flavors, kids will be able to taste the different flavors too!“
“I recently took my lunch break at Guzzu Bento-ya, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. I opted for their Hayashi Rice, a flavorful twist on Japanese beef stew, and it instantly became my new favorite comfort food, especially in the chilly weather. The braised tender beef, onions, and mushrooms melded together perfectly, creating a hearty and satisfying meal. The space was cozy and perfect to do some work. I love how they have anime playing on the projector.Beyond their renowned bento boxes, Guzzu Bento-ya impressed me with their new salads and stews, each bursting with flavor. The staff was incredibly accommodating, offering spot-on recommendations that enhanced my dining experience. Whether you're craving a classic bento box or eager to explore their latest offerings, Guzzu Bento-ya is sure to exceed your expectations. Highly recommended!5/5“
“I had been hearing a lot of good things about the food here so I finally made my way into Silverlake to check it out. As you are probably already aware, this is a take out or delivery restaurant. You cannot dine in here. You actually can't even enter the building. The front door is a two piece door and when they are open for business, the top part of the door will be open. You order from there and then wait on the sidewalk for your order to be ready. You can also call in an order in advance or use various delivery services. There was not anyone waiting to order when I got there so I was able to walk directly up to the door and immediately order. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes for my order to be prepared and in those 10 minutes they got very busy. Six people came up to pickup phone or delivery orders during that time and those pickups went very quickly. A line began to form to order during that time and when I left with my order there were 5 other people who had placed others and were now waiting for their orders to be prepared and an additional 7 other people waiting in line to place orders. They prepare their food quickly but keep in mind, they need to cook the food after you place your order. If there is already a line to place your order and people waiting for their food to finish cooking, all of that will add to the amount of time it will take before your order has been prepared. If you are in a hurry and need your order quickly, perhaps you should consider another restaurant such as a fast food restaurant. They do prepare the food as quickly as they can but keep in mind, you will wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes at a minimum and the more people you see standing around out front will add to that wait time. Is it worth the wait? Oh yes, it is worth it. I had the popcorn chicken, Summer Rolls and the Caramelized Pork. The Popcorn chicken and its dipping sauce was a real treat for the taste buds. The chicken is double fried but is not dry on the inside and the dipping sauce has the perfect bite of spices to it. The summer rolls are huge. Your choice of protein or vegetables only. They really could be a meal within themselves and the vegetables were very fresh with lots of vegetable crunch in every bite. The Caramelized Pork came with sticky rice and cooked with hard boiled eggs. It was as good as it sounds (which is very good). The portion sizes were very good with my order easily being enough for two people with some leftovers. Truly, the summer rolls are so large that you cannot help but have leftovers. Parking can be very tricky here. There are yellow painted loading zones in front of the restaurant and the mom & pop grocery store next door so if you are just picking up an order that had already been placed, you shouldn't have a problem. You may find yourself desperately looking for a place to park though. Keep that in mind but don't let that scare you off. You will be thankful for the effort you put in when you are finally home and enjoying the fruits of your troubles. BTW, I hear that their Bahn Mi sandwiches are so good. I look forward to trying that next time.“
“I was a frequent customer, but I don't buy there anymore, because they are very expensive. Also, the chicken pieces are small, which look similar to a pigeon size..Also the portions are smaller, e.g. biscuits, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw. Before the pandemic the chicken pieces were much bigger, including the sides. I would like to add that the Cole slaw has a lot of milk, to make it look like there is much food on the plastic container, where it is served..“
