“Thai Thyme is cozy Thai restaurant that specialize in authentic Thailand cuisine. It’s located in Monrovia. They have vast selection of food and drinks at a reasonable price. Interior looks charming with high ceiling and exposed brick. Atmosphere was relaxing.

We have walked passed by Thai Thyme for years but never hand a chance to check-in until tonight. Because it tends to be packed due to its popularity. Anyway, after we perused their menu; I ordered a Chicken Pad Won Sen, Spring Rolls, iced tea and water. The noodle was tasty, moist and flavorful albeit a bit salty. Similarly, spring rolls were delightful. Drinks were good.

Staff were very attentive, engaging and respectful. Prices were fair and competitive. Atmosphere was relaxing and has a good vibe. Overall, it’s a nice Thai spot in my favorite town of Monrovia. I recommend you visit.”

“If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. As for a recommendation for a meal, well you have to come in and try. We loved the chilaquiles, the carne en su juego, the menudo, and the breakfast burrito. If you have a sweeter taste, the French toast, the pancakes and the crepe are awesome. But as mentioned before, you just have to come in and try everything.”

“This place was had the best Micheladas I ever tasted. My Mixed Ceviche was top tier I asked for no shrimp so they added extra fish … it was a fish and Octopus ceviche. The waitress kept checking on us. I recommend this place if ur in the SGV it’s close to the freeway (210) a hole in the wall that gives high maintenance and caliber restaurants a run for their money. Top 10 hands down!!!”

“This place saved us as we were moving our elderly parents back to Arcadia after 25 years away. We ordered four or five times within the week when we were too exhausted to think about cooking. My parents are difficult to please, but they were impressed by the generous topping coverage and abundance of veg on the gourmet veggie pizza. Service was always friendly upon pickup, and I rated the atmosphere five stars b/c it's a no frills place that concentrates on making tasty pies for pickup and delivery. #priorities Our family grew up there in the '80s and '90s and had no idea Alitalia had existed, but I'm grateful we know now and relieved that my parents have an easy option for lunch/dinner. (The pesto pizza with chicken was also very tasty!)”

However, they were so accommodating and didn’t make me feel stupid for messing up and I really appreciate that. It’s been a long weekend for me so that gesture hits me even harder. “A gem in the city of Monrovia. It’s in a small plaza next to a laundromat, near a liquor store and across from another taco stand—this taco stand across the way doesn’t serve fish tacos. This place has a good variety on their menu, but the prized item is their fish tacos. Quite tasty and delicious with green or red (for the more spicy palettes) salsa. A good place to stop off for a snack or meal. Great and friendly service, especially from Mario.”

“We have been going to Boba Box since it was still doing the soft opening. We drive about 15-20 mins just to come here. My family found a new boba place that actually accommodate everybody drinking favorite. I don’t have to drive to Rowland Heights for Half And Half then go to West Covina for BYOB and OneZo. Then go to Dunkin Donuts for Matcha latte. Boba Box is amazing and drinks always comes out the same taste every time. Just the right coldness and amount of toppings. Keep it up the good work.”

I ordered their marinated short rib bowl and I added extra proteins of spam, an egg and chicken with no rice, all salad. It was a phenomenal lunch overall. The flavor was definitely there. It was definitely pricey after I added all the extras, but still worth it.

I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.”

“Great local gem along Historic Route 66!! Came here years ago when it used to be named Los Victors - and along with their new name La Noria, their food and service are much better!! We were very happy with our meals and the staff were so friendly, fast and helpful! They have a large menu, packed full of everyday deals and daily specials! We got the chorizo plate - which came with a large portion of chorizo with eggs and cheese, as well as sides of rice and refried beans with cheese on top. They also include either corn or flour tortillas- we got flour and they were huge! Also seemed homemade. My husband absolutely INHALED all of this - it was so good he gobbled it up before I even got a bite LOL! So I can't speak to it - but he sure loved it lol! I got the beef chimichanga- and it was MASSIVE! I couldn't even eat half lol. It's shredded beef inside (not ground beef) and comes covered in a smoky red sauce. The flavor was great but my only issue was that it was absolutely packed with peppers and onions - very little meat compared to the veggies. But the meat was soft, juicy and flavorful- just needs more. It comes with sour cream and tons of guacamole so that was excellent! They included a small bag of tortilla chips - very crisp and delicious!! They also gave 4 sauces - 2 green and 2 red - those were just ok - more salty than anything so that's the reason for the 4 stars (along with the chimichanga having not enough meat lol). The sauces are a big deal! But not a deal breaker here - still worth it! They're located in a small, easy to access shopping center that also has a laundromat, liquor store and a couple other restaurants - so there's a fair amount of parking. It's a walk up counter and they have lots of outside seating available - very clean too! You can see into their little kitchen from the windows and everything looks very clean and orderly. We had a decent experience and will definitely be back for some flautas and menudo!!”

“I wanted to write a review of the arepa I had!It appears to be that there is no set location for this food vendor, but their business is registered at the Monrovia City Hall because they sell at the Farmer's Market on Friday evenings.Firstly, really delicious!My arepa had shredded beef, with panela cheese, mixed veggies, and maduros (fried banana).Soooo good!Real authentic arepa.The shredded beef was seasoned perfectly, warm and juicy, but not overwhelming nor drenching. The panela had a good al dente rubber feeling to it, which was not hard and not too soft. Alongside the fresh spinach and lettuce and warm starchy fried banana slices. Everything within a warm maize dough bread.It's all sooo good!5/5”

At the time I was getting my coffee, the inside store traffic was light and the drive-thru line was moderate.

The young lady that helped me was friendly and efficient. My order didn't take long and was made the way I like it.

The restrooms were clean and the store was clean. There really is much to comment about on this visit. It was a pleasant experience.”

You order at the counter or on their website and the food comes out quickly. Staff are friendly and all of the utensils are disposable for quick dining.”

“I haven't been to Baja Fresh in a while. Sadly, a few on my commute have closed. I ordered chicken fajitas, burrito, and kids meal. The sauces were so good, varied and spicy, compared to the El Pollo Loco sauces which have been eliminated and unflavored and watery. The food didn't taste only salty! Happily surprised for a fast casual.
The restaurant looked and smelled clean and fresh and nice a/c and fans. Bathrooms were decent and stocked. Staff friendly and patient.

It looked like they'd been sweeping and maybe had to stop before finishing to do some other duties but it was finished up.
Within the parameters of a fast casual under 20/person, definitely 5 stars.”

“As Wendy's is a fast food chain restaurant, there is a different scale to rate them against. In the area I usually go to Wendy's because the food is consistent and the drink machines have all of the options available and not 5 of the 35 (not necessarily 35, but the selections are all available). This was the first time they didn't have tea for iced tea which I usually get so I assumed that the delivery of the product was the problem. I had a bacon assist go burger which was good and lemonade which were good. The speed of service meant the meat wasn't cooked to order but already cooked, however it didn't taste like it was made quite awhile ago and kept for hours in a warming oven. I will go back again and hope to see the tea next time.”

There are places with good food — and then there are places like this, where the food is truly flavorful, hearty, and feels healthy. I really enjoyed it and left fully satisfied. The atmosphere is cozy and feels like home — everything is clean and well maintained. There’s convenient parking too.
