“It was my first time to mount baldy and all the bad reviews I read are not what I experienced. The lines were not long at all the Sunday I went. Love the natural features throughout the park. Their food options are limited but good. Overall my experience was good and rate it a 9/10. I think the only things they could improve are: 1. maybe an additional bar or other food choices. 2. Maybe have a DJ some days to liven up the place 3. More general information, like a big board outside that shows the lifts and how to get to them. I had to ask people how to get to the other lifts on the other mountain.“
“To me this place is as perfect as can be. My family and I drive out here from OC when we want to have breakfast in the mountains and its always a great experience. Last Sunday we came in fairly large group and they handled us well. Food is always solid here.“

“My baby sister had this restaurant marked as a place to try and so for our sister dinner we decided to check it out. The ambiance is hipster/trendy. They have inside dining and outdoor dining. We chose to sit outside. They also turn on the heat lamps if it gets a little chilly. Our server was David. Five stars all around. He checked on us and made sure that we were good, he even suggested the truffle fries. Now the food, for appetizers my sister had the calamari and I had the Poutine fries. Both were delicious. The peppers in the Calamari were exquisite. We were kind of full so my sister and I split a burger. The beef was cooked to perfection and the truffle fries made with real truffles were outstanding. After our meal we had the pleasure of meeting Steve the manager who was really nice. I will be back so that my Mr. Can have a go.“

“Our table just ordered the iron steak with potatoes and salmon and pasta as entrees. They are quite good at seasoning their dishes and also their various sauces are tasty. So they seem to use less oil in their sides and more fresh vegetables. You order at the counter and they bring the plates to your table. They have some outside seating in the back. Parking is free in the back lot and also there is street parking for 2 hours around the block.“

Coming here started my Sunday on the right foot, the ambience is a bit rustic with wooden tables & cool record players. The service was top notch and the owner gave us fresh pressed orange juice on the house and it was some of the best juice I've had, sweet and not bitter. My family and I ordered the chilaquiles, Sunny's sandwich and the Nashville hot chicken waffle. Across the board all three dishes were delicious and we all loved the soft scrambled eggs. My dish was the nashville hot chicken and it could honestly feed 3 people as the chicken was huge and it also came with eggs & hashbrowns (not pictured here). It had a good kick with a good crisp to it! It is a bit heavy so super recommend sharing this aha. I'll be coming back to try the avocado sandwich & the katsu one.“

“The beacon has split in half and has shrank in size, or they gave me a baby pork beacon. Either way, to serve a beacon this small and thin is an insult to the customer. The server could care less after I mentioned the beacon to him, but he did offer to bring me more for an extra charge. It feels like a lot of the restaurants are Nickle and diming their cliental by either reducing food portions, serving mediocre sizes, or adding surcharges to the bill. I think restaurants use the economy as an excuse for this kind of action.“

However, the inside of the restaurant is kind of depressing. The food is very good, and reasonably priced, although $2 extra for cheese in an omelette is a bit much. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the server was friendly. Overall, I would recommend this place, it's definitely worth going to, especially if you want to see small planes take off up close.“

Drink order came around fast and surprisingly the food was just as fast too. I highly recommend this place for the fish and chips. Great batter, comes out crisp and light, good tarter sauce and their coleslaw is just the way I like it. Better yet they have one of my favorite Irish Cream Ales on hand Killkenny. Great Red Ale which is always on tap here throughout the year...Definitely coming back. My wife had ordered the same food dish and big thumbs up from her too...she doesn't drink alcohol so she ordered a Shirley Temple to which they served in a large beer ? mug which made her happy too. Would absolutely recommend this place as there is a great bar and restaurant atmosphere and setting in this quaint downtown setting of La Verne. A shout out to manager Anthony who was serving beer on the pation and showing great hospitality to everyone outside.Parking: Small downtown area next to college so parking is a little competitive depending on time of year and time of day and which day of the week. Everything came out hot and honestly has been a better experience than at other locations that I’ve been to. Shout out to our server I think her name was Tiffany or Tif not too sure but she did an incredible job considering that she was what looked to be working alone. She told us from that beginning that it might take a bit longer than usually but since our group was there to catch up with one another we didn’t mind at all. “Sammy's will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the choice spot for a dear friend of mine and his mom. We always tried to take his mom (a sweet, quiet Latina lady) out to eat with us, to which she would say, "No, I don't like to eat out." Then we would say, "But it's Sammy's..." and she'd say, "Oh, Sammy's? Ok, let's go." We created some beautiful memories here, both at this location and the other one on Euclid. This location was great for my son when he was little because of all the classic cars references around the restaurant. I still recognize some of the staff when I come back six years later. “Having gone to Mt. Baldy for the first time and playing in the snow with my girlfriend, her brother, and my brother, we wanted a nice spot to eat. This spot fit the description and it just feels like home there. The food was great and the turkey melt tasted awesome. Their pie was made fresh and it just made a cold day feel even more perfect. Definitely reccomend this to anyone who goes to Mt. Baldy great food and even better service!“
