“The Station Tavern is a great family eatery. Pet and kid friendly. Our family gathering was delightful. Staff was very accommodating as some of us arrived early to secure a table the rest 30 minutes later. Staff kept checking to make sure everyone was accommodated.

Was our bartender. Service was out of this world. We had asked another bartender where all the service people go when they get off, and he told us about this place. And the pizza!!!!! Wow!! We had the PBR (pickle, bacon, ranch) and it was incredible. Doesn’t look like it from the outside, but 5 stars all around!!“

“We accidentally found this place, and although I'm not a big burger enthusiast, my husband enjoyed it. I was surprised by how much I liked my burger, 'The Duke,' and the atmosphere and service were excellent. I'm looking forward to trying their cocktails on my next visit!

“This little spot was fantastic! Truly some of the best food I've had in SD. I ordered the Godzilla hot dog, my husband got the Pastrami Tsunami, and we shared the pierogi plus grabbed a couple beers. The service was friendly and super fast. The food was fresh, and I think the sign said they make their own sausages. The sausage was phenomenal: flavorful, spicy without being overbearing, and seemed lean (no squishy, fatty deposits). The food, although very comfort forward, didn't leave us feeling heavy. The seating is all outdoor at little patio style tables just down from a little fishing pier and next to The Rady Shell. This is now one of my favorite spots; looking forward to going back.“

“Excellent and friendly service with live jazz music - after 6 pm. You need to call for the hours. It was my first time. It's a hidden jewel in the park. Panama 66 is on the exit side of the SD Museum of Art. I ordered soup of the day and Adobo Chicken. Juicy and tender boneless thighs in the adobo sauce with potatoes, onions, and what made my tongue tingle were the slides of cinnamon apple. I left most of them for the end. After eating the chicken and the chili soup, I wanted to end the meal with the sweet cinnamon taste in my mouth. Alcohol is served, but I only had water. From what I saw behind the bar, you can order from at least 20 different beers. The jazz grupo was very lively but not too loud. You can have a normal conversation without having to yell at each other. I also enjoyed the friendly staff, quick to clear tables, and to make sure customers were enjoying their meals. I would go back.

Parking: Since Panama 66 is inside the park, there are scrap parking options depending on where you start your day. Parking is free, and plenty if you look for it.“

“This bar and grill is a great place for a casual hangout or a business event. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the bartender Kristy is particularly helpful and easy on the eyes ? They have a dedicated space for private events in the back, and the overall atmosphere is clean and inviting. There's also ample parking available.“

“We only recently learned about Sal's Cantina and we were eager to try the food. The space is great (which is shared with Rosemary & Thyme in the morning), especially the very comfortable outdoor garden patio. Sal was very friendly and provided great, attentive service. And the food was delicious! I ordered a birria taco, a pollo asado taco, with beans and rice. My friend had a birria enchilada (not on the menu, but Sal fixed it up for us). All of the food was fresh and great quality. We also were greeted with complimentary chips and salsa, which was a great starter with our passionfruit margaritas. One high note, all of the food was lightly salted, which is something I very much appreciated. It's easy to add salt if you want more, but too many restaurants over-salt, and you can't do anything to lessen that after the fact. We will definitely be back!

Parking: Sal's doesn't have any dedicated parking. You can choose from metered parking along University Ave, or look for free street parking along the side streets. Pretty much the same for many Hillcrest restaurants.“

“This is the only women's bar in all of California and it is an amazing safe space for all the LGBT community to gather for events and drinks and great food. The servers are unbelievable and the rest of the staff is also amazing and they just got a new big sign out front so you can't miss it! It is one of the most wonderful places I've ever been and we keep going back because of the people and safe environment it offers. I'm so proud to call this place my favorite bar ?“

“Walking around gas lamp with my husband late night after a comedy show. There Weren’t many places open after 10pm. One of the door greeters recommended this spot, said they all go here after work for their burgers and fries. So when we arrived it seemed to be a fun spot, very loud but chill. We had to go up to the bar to order the food but were seen quickly and ordered a burger and wings. The wings were decent and the burger was great!! Would go again late night if I was hungry.“

Five dollar tacos and cheeseburger. We did Taco Tuesday yesterday and had the fish and calamari tacos and took two Birrea tacos to go. Excellent tacos waitress did us well in the past and bartender took care of us yesterday.“
