“So I had the pleasure of having It’s in the filling at my birthday pop up market and got some cupcake jars, and omg I knew they looked good and couldn’t wait to try! But the minute that spoonful hit my mouth it was like heaven! Sooo delicious, so amazing! I almost don’t want to share with my husband cuz he has been eyeing them. I will definitely be getting some more as soon as I can! So good!“
“Valerio's Bake Shop dishes out some of the MOST SOFT and delicious Filipino breads. Located in National City in a little strip mall. Parking can be hectic at times as there are many eateries in the same strip mall. Prices are very reasonable (especially for freshly baked breads) and customer service is good. Either walk-in or order in advance for pick up. We ordered: Cheese rolls - delish soft bread with cream cheese inside and butter with dusting of fine sugar on top. Cinnamon Ensaymada - I would compare to a miniature cinnamon roll. Not too intense with cinnamon flavor with a light airy slightly sweetened cream cheese frosting with a dust of cinnamon. DELISH! If in the area and you want a bakery that has amazing soft bread, sweet or savory...give this spot a try. Your welcome in advance!“

“Take-out review 2/24 Had the chance to try their yummy desserts at a family dinner. The cheesecake was SOOO good! Light, fluffy, slightly sweet (as most Asian desserts are). Priced around $19, which is actually reasonable compared to most dessert/pie/cake equivalents. Japanese desserts feel light, so even after a hearty meal, you still want it! Also tried the matcha tiramisu. Sorry no photo. It was gone before I could snap a photo. This was a bit pricey at $14 for a small round. Considering the price of matcha though, the price really is warranted. Strong slightly bitter matcha flavor. Lucious creamy filling. Not overly sweet. It was a bit out of the way for them to pick up. However, who else but family is worth it? Right?“
“I had the greatest experience ordering from Leandra. I let her know I didn’t want any super bright yellows since it was Winnie the Pooh and then I also sent her inspo pics but made sure to tell her to use her own creativity and free range of freedom on them. She made sure to use pastel colors and even incorporated my son’s name into the cookies. They were a huge hit at the baby shower I even made sure to save one just for keeps since they are also individually wrapped. It was super obvious how much time and effort she spends on her work. Definitely would recommend to any friend for any event. Thank you again for making such cute cookies for my shower ?(ps: they taste amazing as well, I definitely ate a couple myself lol)“
“of all the filipino pandesal in san diego we have tasted, this is my family's favorite. been goin to this bakery over 15 years. the price has increased throughout the years but the taste is still the same. i haven't tried all their products but the ube pandesal, puto, spanish bread and karioka are exceptionally tasty.“
“Was in the area and was craving some lumpia. First time actually getting food from here as I ordered 25 pieces of the Lumpia Shanghai and a dozen chicken empanadas. The establishment was relatively small but had a few tables and chairs to eat at inside. Service was welcoming and friendly. I had to wait about ten minutes for the lumpia as they cooked it fresh for me. Lumpia always hits the spot. The empanadas are typically dry but ok for me. I'll definitely return to try other options.“
“My dad and I tried this place. Great customer service! We told them that it was our first time as they have a lot of choices on their menu. My dad and I shared the dinuguan and fried crispy salmon. The taste of the food was great. We bought other items too like kutsinta, polvoron, chicharon, turons, and taho. All of them were good as well. Will have to come back and taste their other food! FYI...the place is small so they might run out of tables and chairs if you were planning to eat there during their busy times.“
“Being Filipino, we are always looking for a good Filipino Bakery and Salie's Place does not disappoint. We came specifically for Cheese Ball Bread and Siomai. I really wanted to try their Pandesol bread, but at 12pm they were completely sold out. They said you have to come early when they open at 7am because they sell out fast daily. Very simple menu. The Cheese Ball bread is just as good as everyone says and is right up there with the best I've tasted. The Siomai and Siopoa are my favorite!!! Everything is reasonably priced. They also cater large trays of pancit noddles. The inside of the bakery has a little store with Filipino snacks/chips and other cooking ingredients. You can also pick up your weekly lotto tickets here! lol! Great addition to the Paradise Hill area. I'll definitely be back to try and get my hands on some pandesol!“
“Finally checking this place out with the new ownership. Store hours say open Monday - Saturday 9-5p but came here on a weekday at 530p and it was still open due to baked goods still being in stock. I ordered 3 steamed pork buns and 3 baked pork buns. Came in a box. I should've opened it to check the contents cos I ended up getting 6 baked pork buns. Quality is there. Will have to come back again and check out the other items.“
“This is an amazing hole-in-the-wall Cafe. It's run by mom and pop with amazing and tasty pastries. I'm a big fan of their empanadas. They come in beef and chicken. Soooooo yummy and flavorful! The kind lady that runs this Cafe is so so sweet and so welcoming. I've only went twice so far because I was craving empanadas and the place I usually go to ran out, and the kind lady remembered me from just meeting me once. She's so sweet. And everything else is just as amazing. So instead of the other place I usually went to, I'm only going here from now on!!!“
