Their bowls, smoothies, tortas and sandwiches are really good. “Sooo delicious. Been coming here for 15 years +. I don't live in the neighborhood but I still visit for the watermelon ice cream drink and the ham tortas. Hands down the best smoothie and torta in San Diego. They also have their fruiteria next door where you can pick up fresh produce. Highly recommend trying senor mangos.“

The hummus veggie bagel on a great sourdough multi grain bread, because the bagel ingredients were unknown, was delicious. “I LOVE acai bowls and was pleasantly surprised by Northside Shack's variety of toppings. The bowls are expensive, as many are these days, but the large ($17) was great to share between two people. You can have as many bases (acai, pitaya, or coconut) as you'd like with unlimited toppings. There are some additional toppings available for a cost, and adding peanut butter for $2 was very worthwhile. Peanut butter complements the fruit so well and there was plenty in the bowl. There was a bit of a wait as the bases may be blended fresh and it was busy on a weekend around noon. There aren't any tables but a few benches and chairs outside the shop. The North Park Mini Park is a couple blocks away if you're looking for a picnic table. They gave us a plate with our to-go packaged bowl which really helped catch the many toppings piled on top of the large bowl.“

“Frutti Mas is such a hidden jem! Whenever I come to town my family and I go and pick up my favorites. They are so welcoming and friendly and go above and beyond in giving the best service. Not to mention the food is delicious, we haven't had one thing we don't like! Their pozole is delicious, the tortas and wraps are so good. The smoothies are also so good. They over such a wide variety! Definitely check this place out!“

“ Strawberry matcha (seasonal) 5/5 (top 2 I've had in SD) Lavender London fog (hot) 4.5/5 Ursula's Revenge lemonade 4/5 - at first tasted a little weak but magically had a lot of flavor later Mermaid toast 3/5 - pretty but was more or less cream cheese on sourdough with sprinkles. My daughter loved it, though? Fruit cup 2/5 - about half banana with strawberries and blueberries. Meh, will skip next time.I couldn't really taste the matcha or early grey in the drinks so it was kind of like really good strawberry milk and lavender milk. I had no problem with this and will happily come back and get them both again but others may not.“

“Starting my day in the Mission Valley area and found this nice coffee shop. It’s in a business area that you’d never really think about going to. Free one hour parking through a ticketed gate. The caramel and salt cold brew is YUM. Highly recommended. Also had the egg, sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich. Hit the spot. They have some different drink options such as super smoothies and cold brew cocktails. Definitely recommended if you’re near the area. Very close to Dave and Busters also.“

“My wife and I both ordered the 3 day juice cleanse. I am NOT a beet fan (one of the juices was made with beets) but it was soooo good! The 6th juice of the day was my favorite- kind of like a dessert at the end of the day. We loved the juices so much, we ordered the cleanse again (allow them at least 5 hours to make before pick up). We both feel great and it was an excellent kick start to our new healthier lifestyle! On another note: their acai bowls are delicious!!! Wish this place had some type of a rewards program - apparently they used to. We will be going back as this has become our new favorite spot for juices and acai bowls!“

“Perfect hole in the wall froyo stop. They offer açaí bowls, smoothies, milkshakes, and a variety of frozen yogurt flavors, toppings, and sauces to drizzle. There is always parking available. Every time I walk in I am always greeted and never rushed when ordering . I personally love there fruit waters and making my own chip bowl. “The BBQ platter plate was a really good portion. Between two of us, we couldn't finish it, and had enough for a whole second meal! Everything was cooked perfectly. I like the texture that the accompanying farofa adds to the food. Hubs enjoyed the black beans a lot. Yuca fries--I'm a sucker for these anywhere, and the ones here were hot and crispy, and I ate the whole order up even before my food came out. But, they're a bit pricy, IMHO. I order the passionfruit mousse for dessert, but, felt like it was a bit much for just me. Hubs wasn't a Mousse kind of guy. And although pretty good, I may not order it again just because it was a lot for one person, and you can't really take it to go bc it was served in a glass.“

“I ordered the steak burrito and the Aloha White Mocha. The burrito was pretty good and I like that the tortilla was cooked. The Aloha White Mocha was a little off to me. The drink was good but it seemed watered down or something. It was even a double shot espresso and it tasted like it was a regular coffee. Overall I would go back and try another drink so I would suggest someone give this place a try.“

The reason it got a 4/5 is because sometimes they are short staffed and the orders take a long time. I also wish that they had more sauce options for their sandwiches. “This is a great little coffee stand. Even when there's a long line they serve us quickly. I've noticed that consistently and it's appreciated. The coffee is always good. We get my daughter a burrito there often before school, and she loves them. The young women who work there are friendly and if you've been going there for years like we have they remember what you like to order. I've never been to a better coffee shop.“

“Came to this drive thru to try some coffee, my favorite part is that you can park at the target and sit outside or you can just pull up with your car. The baristas were nice and helpful. The drinks we got were a bit slow to come out, which is something you should consider coming here, despite the drive thru (greater than 10min for 2 drinks). Also the drinks we got were pretty sweet so make sure you ask for less sugar if you don't want it to be too sweet. The outdoor seating is cute and not a bad first date spot if the weather is nice!“
