“The go to late night place for Cantonese food in the Hayward Newark area. Very yummy food - this was the beef chow fun and a pineapple smoothie(?). Beef is wonderfully tender, the gravy was very good (I am a dry chow fun guy myself but partner likes the gravy). we've been here multiple times. It gets pretty busy after 10 some nights. Parking is easy, in the shopping center lot. Easy access to HWY84 and the Nimitz.“
“$29 for a whole duck!! Service was fast & friendly. I also ordered egg tarts (buy 5 get 1 free), white chicken, wonton noodle soup and steamed pork bun. Everything we ordered was delicious. New Hwong Kok is located inside Lion Center. Will order again whenever I come visit Newark.“
“My Fav Chinese joint - Sheszwan prawns are my fav. Honey-walnut prawns are damn good too. Wife likes the Mongolian beef and the soups. It's your classic Chinese take-out place, great lunch specials/pricing. Dinner servings ample in size, a little pricy, but worth it in my opinion. Owner is a sweetie, courteous. Big thumbs-up from me.“
“Their porridges are thick, hot and satisfying. Their rice rolls are also delicious along with the dim sum. Ordering through their QR code was much easier and less pressure for me plus it had plenty of pictures and good descriptions of each item. I appreciate that they always provide extra bowls and spoons for sharing. Unisex restroom available but be prepared to wait during weekends.“
“This is a solid 4 star restaurant. Clay pot rice is freshly made to order, really tasty. The place can get busy and it may take a while to get a table during dinner time. Once you sit down, the service is reasonably quick and quite friendly. Excellent comfort food especially for cold winter days.“
“Realized I forgot to take photos of the food because I was enjoying every bite! It was my first time here and we had a large group of 16. Staff was friendly and accommodating for us. Food came out fast and each dish was told to us as it came out so we knew what we were eating. Portions were good I especially loved the green beans and the salt and pepper pork chop. I didn't even have to ask for more water as they came around multiple times throughout the dinner. For dessert they even brought out mango pudding which was a nice surprise. Would definitely come back to try dim sum.“
“I loved the fact that the tables were spaciously spaced out. I love it when there is plenty of elbow space. The food was pretty good and the selection were wide. My favorite is the No Mai fan.it was so tasty. I loved all our dishesParking: Plenty of spaces“
“Yum! Rock cod corn is super delicious. All the food is good and well flavored. Cash only and easy to phone in the orders. Loved the honey walnut shrimp. Not sure on the ambiance as we get the food to go. Chinese chicken salad was also delicious.“
“my family has been coming to hong kong restaurant for 10+ years. it's been our go-to chinese restaurants for both sit meals for special occasions as well as takeout.hong kong remains to be one of the most reasonably priced chinese restaurants by far, especially if you are eating family style with a larger group. service is not the most friendly but always efficient.our family's favorites include: salt and pepper fried fish fillet, salt and pepper pork ribs, beef chow fun, string beans, and mu shu pork.we will continue to visit hong kong with our family and friends!“
“I really like this rice roll shop. I don’t know why the rating is so low. The waitress is very nice. I ordered the Tingzi porridge, which is extremely rich in content. I also ordered the siomai, phoenix scratch and fried dough sticks. I really liked the siomai. I also ordered it. I ordered claypot rice. The pork ribs were not too thick. Overall, I liked it. The most surprising thing was their chili oil. It felt like there was XO sauce in it. It tasted so delicious. I almost finished eating before I thought of taking a photo.“
