“I am very satisfied with the environment, service and taste. It’s just, it’s really a bit salty! ! ! I am willing to eat it again. If it is still so salty, I will definitely leave a message to the kitchen chef! It tastes really good and the portion is plenty! ! ! Two people had four dishes and one soup, and all the regular soups for five people were finished, and the dishes were all packed.“
“Dim sum dishes are well made. Some are better than the restaurants around Millbrae/Burlingame. Prawn dumplings 蝦餃 and pork Siu Mai 燒賣 were excellent. So were other dishes. Prices have gone up significantly since a year ago. Got there when it just opened. Service was bit slow as the servers were setting up. But if you flag them down, they responded quite quickly. The restaurant is large and roomy and not as noisy as several in the area. The temperature was cold so wear something warmer. Under new management. It has improved since a year ago.“
“If you're looking for a good takeout style Chinese restaurant, this place is the spot! The food is really good and the portions are really large! Unlike other sit down restaurants the food comes out in a timely manner and despite how busy it is, the waiters come around and serve everyone. The only downside, I would say, is the size of the restaurant. The place is small and so bringing a large party (larger than 6) is probably a no go. Although their takeout is also a really good option!“
“Was there while they were hosting a wedding party. Somehow still have very great and attentive service. My GF is vegan, and the staff was helpful in making sure she had some options, ever adjusting the wagyu chowmain dish I ordered so that she could enjoy it (meat on the side).Veggies were amazing. Very different flavors. We had the string beans and the coli flower.Tea was great. The star or the night were their sipping sauces. They say they make them all in house. Cilantro sauce was the best, but they also have coconut + ginger, soy sauce, and of course chili oil.Dim sum was great as well.Ambiance was nice also.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies clearly labeled vegetarian. I believe most of their vegetarian dishes are actually vegan as well. Great flavor. They also are willing to adjust dishes to fit dietary restrictions.“
“Very good lunch specials. Their food is consistently good and the prices are really good. Most times, I get tea with my lunch special. Even when I get a coke, my bill is only $15, including a $2 tip.Highly recommended, and will continue to return to enjoy the items on the lunch special menu. They close at 3pm Monday through Saturday. They are closed on Sundays. Please be patient with the staff and remember to tip kindly...“
“Great place to grab dim sum. It's a small restaurant that usually has a short wait for a table but the food tastes great and comes out quickly. The wait gives you time to observe the older Chinese clientele who frequent this restaurant which is always a good sign.My only complaint is that we order too much food and I eat more than I should when we come here. Some leftovers heat up better than others so that's how I prioritize what I stuff myself with.Parking: Parking isn't too bad in this area, can typically find a spot within a block. The road construction on Taraval takes away some spaces occasionally.“
“My mom's favorite Chinese restaurant in the city (at least currently - growing up it used to be Eight Immortals on Taraval - I'm sad it's no longer the same...). Whenever I go home for a visit, there's always ONE night reserved for a family dinner at Riverside. There's only street parking (not a surprise since it's SF), but there's NO issue find a spot and the area is relatively safe. The restaurant is no frills and homey - and you know it's legit and good when the restaurant is full on a random Wednesday night on a quiet neighborhood block. My mom usually orders and the dishes can vary depending on what she feels like, but she ALWAYS orders the giant scallop/clam thing with vermicelli. Very meaty, large portions. Pricey, but good. Definitely solid Chinese food - sometimes they are a bit heavy handed on the seasoning (not super consistent), but overall still good.“
“The food was fresh and delicious. We were able to make a reservation, although getting there at opening meant it wasn't busy, but it filled up. Service was fairly attentive though a few dishes took a long time to get to us. Definitely the spot to hit in the Bay area for dim sum.“
“I have tried many Chinese restaurants and this by far is one of my favorites. Not only do they give you huge portions unlike other Chinese restaurants. Their dishes are delicious they have so much flavor and I've never been let down once. For their spicy dishes I'd order extra spicy because they're regular spicy dishes aren't that spicy to me but I also love spicy food and I'm very tolerant to it. If you've never tried this place you have to try it literally it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Bay areanow next on my list is the Mongolian beef chowmane which I'm sure I won't be disappointed.“
“3.5 stars but rounding up to 4! This is a yummy Cantonese restaurant in San Mateo. We came here by chance and I was pleasantly surprised! I'll definitely be returning here in the future. We had a group of 6 and had no issues getting a table right away on a late Saturday morning. We ordered the chicken and sweet corn soup, honey walnut prawns, pork belly with pickled vegetables, chicken and eggplant with salted fish clay pot, and garlic pea sprouts. As a Cantonese person, I had high expectations. Everything was tasty and reminded me of food that my family would cook, especially the pork belly with preserved veg. The pork belly was so tender and juicy, and I love the taste of Cantonese pickled vegetables. The soup, clay pot and pea sprouts were all good and standard. The honey walnut prawns were big and had a delightful crunch that I was not expecting! I would definitely come here again and try more dishes. Happy to know there's a good Cantonese spot in SM so close to me!“
“Great place for dim sum! Another MUST-EAT-AT place for tourists and a GO-TO for SF natives. Dining room is typical modern Chinese, but it has a second floor loft that's perfect for weddings, red egg ginger parties, etc. Love their mini-egg tarts! Service is excellent! Their service staff work really hard so please be kind and tip!“
“I got married here. My third wedding in 2 years. There must be something horrible going on with me that I'm on my third wedding already. Anyway. I had a good time. Shout out to Christy? For her attentiveness to everything we needed. Nice lady. We're from the same village. Good food. Ambiance is 10/10. Fun times.“
“Very extensive menu of dim sum during lunch hours, and standard "luxury" Chinese food at night. Usually quite a few daily specials as well. Food always seems to come out quite fresh. The space is absolutely massive, which means there's rarely too long of a wait no matter the party size (note that if you are a party of 2, you might need to share a table with another couple).“
“I love this spot it's my go to whenever I am disappointed by a different dim sum spot that my boyfriend wants to go to I say we should've just gone to chase luck. The ladies at the counter are always quick and nice the food is amazing it doesn't have a million wrappers on it and hasn't been sitting out for days. It's not impossible to find parking in the area most times I've been there. I rarely leave reviews but I love this place so much that any low review on here makes me angry!“
“The old cashier by the counter was told an order of "sweet and sour soup" and she repeated it as "sweet and sour pork". Assuming the sweet and sour soup had pork in it, okay, agreed with that order. When the order arrived, it was sweet and sour pork with rice and veggies which is $10, INSTEAD of soup.Asked her to replace it, she said add $2. The old lady behind the counter pulled out VEGETABLE SOUP!!! After that, asked her to give the correct item which is sweet and sour soup she said that's an additional $9. It was her error in taking down the order. She said, give back the prior order which is sweet and sour pork with rice and she'll give the sweet and sour soup. She gave the sweet and sour soup and pocketed the $3 (it's been $2 added for the soup, along with the prior $10 paid for the sweet and sour pork and rice). The sweet and sour pork with rice is $10 which she took back, she took that back.Gave a run around just to order sweet and sour soup, and she pocketed $3. She was given gratuity of $5 before that. She still gave that run around just to pocket an extra $3.“
“De.Lish.Us. Worth the wait for sure. Want sure how to eat it since they brought me a giant spoon, so used it to mix it up then used my sticks. Was super hot (temperature) but tasted great! I'll be back. (Can we turn the heat up inside, though?)“
