“This place is in an old strip mall shopping center. It used be a salvadorian restaurant before and they were ok. This place is much better. The food tastes pretty good . The burritos are huge and the tacos are regular sized tortillas( not street taco sized) and they were loaded with meat. Customer service was good. There's really not much seating her but it's OK I always take it to go. They have good salsas and sliced cucumbers. They also have pickled onions with habeneros (which are delicious) and slice pickled jalapeños. I think this will be my new go to spot for Mexican food.Parking: Lots of parking here“
“Amazing food. You cannot miss this if you love Mexican food. Authentic flavor, real salsa, fresh cilantro and onions. and the team is super nice. Makes me feel like I am back in Mexico at my favorite taqueria. I come here once a week for lunch and it always hits the spot. I love the californiana style quesadillas - such a bang for the buck. The Califas taco is like a mini “sincronizada” and it is such a tasty take on how to serve up a taco. CANNOT MISS: the barbacoa. Only place I have found in the Bay that serves up homestyle barbacoa like this - not fatty and full of flavor. “First time at this place. Was at the nearby Walmart, searched for Chile Verde, and this place showed up under the former name (Greenland Market). After reading reviews I felt this was the spot for me on this day. I'm glad I went with my instinct.Disclaimer, having only been here once I can only review what I had but I have high hopes for the other things after talking to someone who might be the boss.I had the Chile Verde plate and it was excellent. This is a standard dish I order at every place and use it to gauge whether I return or not. This place knocked it out of the park. Unlike most places that simply stew the pork, this place uses what must be their carnitas. It has that roasted flavor and the meat is succulent and super tender. The rice has good flavor, the salsa they provide has a kick, tortillas were tender and hot.I live about 45 minutes from this place but I will drive all the way here when I am not willing to compromise, and want great, not just good, Chile Verde.“
“Tried out their asada tacos for dinner takeout, which was good overall. All the components were good, but the meat was a bit lackluster in taste. Their spicy salsa added a nice kick. Tacos were $3 each.You will have to wait a bit (less than 10 minutes) while they make the food fresh to order. Location has some parking adjacent to the truck, and there is a table with a few chairs in front along with a standing table on the side of the truck. Otherwise, eating in car or takeout would be more likely. It is a large blue truck visible on the street, you won't miss it.“

For liquid refreshment, the horchata is a traditional flavor; so good! I also have a new favorite: the guava agua fresca! Bits of guava pulp were a welcome surprise. When in season, the coconut ice cream is my all time fave, I usually pair it with a scoop of their lime sherbet. Win-win! For a very refreshing flavor, try the watermelon sherbet. This location has a nice atmosphere with a large interior, a nice outdoor space with fire heaters, as well as a bar inside.I have only tried a few food items here, but have always enjoyed getting the protein bowls (pictured is the “Mexican Grill” bowl with shrimp from tonight).Some of the cocktails are tasty as well. “Ok big dawg here's another one. So I got carnitas and lengua tacos. They were delicious and tasty. The lengua had the right seasoning and flavor as well as the carnitas. My only complaint would be give extra salsa to go and make sure the limes are not tough as rocks.. no juice came out of them.The service was great and fast, the workers are in sync and put out orders sufficiently. “We had asked the server we didn't want coleslaw and we wanted a sub side my sister could eat. But he still brought us coleslaw that had to be tossed since I didn't want it either so unfortunately the side went to waste. The side we had placed that my sister didn't have allergies with was Brussels sprout and it was not considered a replacement for something that she was allergic to. So was a little disappointed. “Pizza and Mexican food? Say less.. Similar to another review we've been living here for about 5 years and had only just tried this pizzeria the other day. Comparable pricing to other pizzerias around. We got a large with chorizo, pepperoni, jalapenos, and onions (I think this was the Deluxe?). The next day my stomach was super upset but hello, I was eating a pizza with chorizo and jalapenos on it. My stomach and GI tract were not happy but it was so worth it. When we went inside to pick up the food, there was a more updated menu -- we were only able to place a phone order on what we saw based on the menu images on Yelp. Little did we know there were more to choose from! Would love to try La Toreada or La Valiente.. They also have things like hot dogs, burgers, wings, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, tacos.. they have it all.. Would love to come back and try more. It's so close to where we live..
