Spoke with the owners children they are true Oaklanders! I told them I would give this place a try. I went in and the place is very nice. It's in International Blvd right in the heart of Oakland. Ordered the burrito and it was very very good! The BEST thing I ate here were the hand cut tortilla chips and the hot salsa was delicious and spicy! If you are looking for the best Mexican food in Fruitvale, look no further! This family has been operating one of the highest quality food trucks in the area (of the same name) for over 20 years so it’s no surprise their new storefront is excellent as well.Their burritos are top notch - flavorful with the right balance of ingredients. Same folks as the excellent truck of the same name. Incredible tacos, always perfectly crisply cooked meat and delicious salsas (tripas tacos especially good). Nice clean seating area for when you prefer to eat in.
