“Just discovered this gem! A quaint, rustic hole-in-the-wall, cash only, best crepes in the city with super unique flavor combinations you don't see anywhere else. This one man operation is not for the impatient or those in a rush, but it's worth the wait. You don't find many places like this anymore, and I'm so glad to have been introduced to Higher Grounds - we'll be back!“
“Loved this place. If I wasn't traveling through and I lived there I'd for sure visit again. Loved the whole vibe of not only the restaurant but the outside decor of this whole area. Think it was called BurlingameVegetarian options: See the posted menu“
“What can I say, except yum yum yum. I got their crema con fresas (a complex strawberries and cream. It uses sour cream with evaporated and condensed milk which gives it a slight tang and is utterly addictive), and mangonadas. I liked the mangonadas slightly less because they used shaved ice that was quite coarse, but the flavor was on point“
“Satisfying counter service cafe with slightly elevated diner style cuisine. For example, the breads are nicer than you'd get at a diner but the potatoes are the same. They offer a hearty portion of smoked salmon in the $18 scramble, but it's not a particularly fluffy scramble and it might actually feature 2 eggs instead of 3. The crepe gets the job done, but for $12 it'd be hard to justify as a daily driver. Diamond cafe serves whole milk.“
“I got the crab cake sandwich and honestly it was very very good. I didn't realize they would be fried, but they were so good tasting that it's calling me back. I had always walked by this place and always heard about it, but never really eaten here. The server is super friendly, parking isn't that great, and prices for a very nice coffee shop, just a tad more expensive then if you went somewhere else along the peninsula. San Francisco is always more expensive than eating anywhere else.Parking: And remember if you're in San Francisco you're also paying for parking even if it's metered... And that adds two to four bucks more to your bill.“
“Most generous and delicious Tuna Melt in the world (we’ve traveled and we try the tuna melts!!) High tide calls their tuna melt, ocean side and that is a 2 minute walk. We eat ours siting on a log on the beach watching surfers and looking for whales. The service is kind, generous and great at making good “
