There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. There are only about 6 tables with 4 chairs each, but if it's only you and your date it's perfect. The decor is a lot of Salvadoran art and some plates with Salvadoran currency. Nice ambiance inside, felt like a hole in the wall place. They had a good variety of poke flavors to choose from. I decided to get two flavors which came with rice. I choosed spicy mayo and Hawaiian limu (similar to shoyu). For $15, they gave me a good portion of rice and poke. The poke tasted fresh and the dressings all tasted good. Overall, a good solid poke place, would come back again!“

“The first thing I want to say is that my server, Christian, was AMAZING! He went above and beyond on serving my food. He kept on asking if the portions were enough, which is something I dont get asked enough from places as such. He was super polite, gave the best answers to my questions, and always mentioned options when most others would have just given what I asked for. The food was spot on the best Poke I've ever had! Finally, the price was just right for what I was getting, and the restaurant was super well kept and clean! I HIGHLY recommend this spot, and if Christian is serving you make sure to leave a nice tip!“

I went to pick up the food and it turns out lulubowls is one of several cuisines you can order. When you drive down 14th street you will see a beautifully painted building and it turns it's like a hidden food court. Definitely a hidden Long Beach gem! Don't let the overall rating fool you because the food I got from lulubowls is so good. I got the salad bowl and sweet potato potstickers.
