“This is our favorite sushi place! The staff here is always great and the food is always yummy! We like sitting outside with the heaters and we are still given the same attention as inside diners. We like to come here because we can bring our dog.“
“The food is delicious!!! There is no doubt about that. We tried their food to go last week because our usual sushi spot in YL was closed. We liked it so much that we decided to dine in.The only reason why I can't give 5 stars was because it took 15 MINS for a server to come to our table. We almost left. Also, the server seemed to be confused with what beers they had. Maybe she was new?Back to the food.. We had a couple of sushi rolls, and we're delish! Generous with the portions and toppings. We also had CHICKEN and SALMON plates and were perfect!! Came with rice and seasoned vegetables. So good!SHRIMP TEMPURA was really good, too. Will we be back? Not for dine it.. but I'll for sure get their food to go.“
“Heard this place is been for over 30years and same owner for last 20.Very reasonable price , kind staffs and of course good food with combination and sushi. FYI they have lunch bento which is only 11.50 don't miss that , I would say best value in town.Oh also they have great homemade dessert ! Try that“
“5 out of 5 amazing great food and a lot of food for a great price we got a beef plate and chicken plate and sushi ? as well with miso soup and salad we were very very happy and please and we will for sure come back soon we highly recommend you won't regret “
“Felt like we were a bit of a nuisance to one of the staff. Needed us to separate our party with one end of the table all you can eat and the other not. Made seating for our party awkward.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu but we're willing to adjust the udon soup to their requests.“
“The Ribeye cap M9 here is so beautifully marbled but I think I loooved the Prime short rib even more. It was flavored so perfectly and literally melts in your mouth. And have you ever had grilled eel at Japanese BBQ before?? It was definitely my first time because I think I got the order of operations wrong in terms of building my perilla leaf-eel-seaweed wrap, but hey, it tastes so delicious all the same, right? We also got the Wagyu sukiyaki to share and the Wagyu bibimbap that’s mixed tableside. Thanks for reading! ^-^“
“Great quality, friendly atmosphere, definitely going to be a regular!A hidden gem in Garden Grove. Japanese owned omakase that focuses on seasonal offerings. Ben and Ayako make you feel welcome once you walk in those doors. The menu is hand written and you can see the focus and care that Ben puts with each piece of nigiri. If you want to come and get a bite, make sure you make your reservations at least 2 weeks in advance.“
“The H S Express Delivered, this sushi spot is nothing fancy but is low-key with dynamite fresh flavor and a nice selection of sashimi, sushi, rolls, and a few other goodies to be found at sushi restaurants. The decor is simple, and the service is good ,and the food is very fresh. This is a very small establishment with 5 tables and 2 seats at the bar, still brand new to the neighborhood . I noticed a lot of takeout and a steady flow of patrons to this spot, but I believe that will change when they find out how good this place is. Also, there are only two sushi chefs, so relax and enjoy the time. There is no alcohol served here, so don't let that spoil your experience here. You did come for the Hamachi experience. See you tomorrow ?“
“First visit here. Absolutely loved it. The albacore sashimi should really be renamed a carpaccio. Thinly sliced premium seared albacore with a tangy delicious ponzu sauce. With more than 10 slices, it's the perfect delicacy to share with someone special. Everything else here was super fresh and tasty. The ambience is dark & comfy and the customer service was friendly, quick & efficient. I found my new favorite spot for sushi.“
“My husband and I are creatures of habit but we decided to try this ramen spot out for the first time. The servers were super friendly and fast. The chicken karaage and ramen came out hot! They also gave us complimentary edamame, which is cool. I'm definitely going to tell our friends and family about this little spot. Plus, the cat robot who runs the food was entertaining to watch.“
“A feast to the eyes and for the palate. However, the whole omakase felt a bit rushed because there was a train of people standing behind us waiting to be seated for the next appointed timeslots. Also, they said it's 10 sushi but it's really like 7 because there's an appetizer that was more like a small plate of Hawaiian poke, a miso soup side dish and a green tea ice cream dessert at the end.Other than that, good experience though.“
“While searching for "Top Omakase Los Angeles" on Google my wife stumbled upon this little gem, and we decided to go... We were not disappointed, and the sashimi was so tasty we ordered a second order of the "Omakase 18" after all of our other dishes. I missed the picture of the first roll we had, Dragon, but the Rainbow was great too! Staff was very polite, and always attentive. We had a great experience and the fish and food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!“
“This is one of my favorite go-to places to take friends when we don't know where else to go. When the Packing House is just too packed, Rodeo 39 has so many more options without the large crowd making it a great food hall to come with friends who aren't very good at unanimously choosing a restaurant. My personal favorite places are Banh Xeo Boys for the Banh Xeo, Kare for their katsu curry, phoholic for pho (of course), Steel Pan Pizza for their mushroom pizza, and Shootz for their Kimchi Butter Shrimp. Honorable mentions are Tenori and the Mexican restaurant that unfortunately, I can't remember the name of. Grab your food and choose a nice spot on the patio or inside by the bar to grab a drink later and enjoy the variety of options they provide with relatively reasonable prices.“
“I highly recommend this hidden gem here in orange county. The fish and the quality is top notch. Super reasonable. The waitress and owner was very polite and their so welcoming. I had to order the sushi about 2_3 times. It that good. The ramen is very fresh and so yummy. We are recommending this spot to all our clients friends and family. Great aesthetic and very clean place. Free sake with your order. I really enjoyed my time.“
“I ordered the Garlic Edamame, Double Crunchy Roll, and Mango Tango. Absolutely everything was delicious. It’s a nice little mom and pop restaurant that you cannot pass up. This was probably one of the best sushi spots I’ve tried in a while!“
“Loved the food, we found this place accidentally thinking it was sushi but it was a very good mistake! Very delicious but definitely dress for a special occasion. We loved all The courses and the desserts were absolutely delicious! At first we thought we wouldn't get full but by the end of dinner we were more than satisfied!“
“Had two meals here recently: one lunch, and one late night take away (12:30am-ish). Both were well prepared, with the in person stuff being presented nicely for being basket fast food. Egg on the Ojai burger was perfectly cooked and the patty well seasoned. Spicy Miso fries were wicked tasty and huge portion. Katsu Sando takeaway was super crispy which is a must, along with the cut of chicken being substantial. I’ll be going back.“
“Decided to try a new place as I’ve been on a hunt for a good local sushi place and wow…….taste, presentation and service get 5 stars from me. Everything we need tried impressed me so much that I can’t wait to go back. The owner is also a seasoned sushi chef and he is there making the sushi which makes a world of difference.Like I said, I found my favorite spot ?“
“Ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was so delicious. Stopped by after some shopping and this place was packed. They sat me down once I walked in and their service was excellent. I received my meal quickly and it was delicious. I will definitely come back again.“
“You guys must try this restaurant, this restaurant I would say just say five star, the food is fresh, they are the best sushi you can get. The best is to try the 12 piece omasaka.Once you try it you never will forget the taste in your mouth, and you don't have to go to any other restaurant. The place is super quiet super high end.The whole restaurant is Japanese people own.Happy sushi put in your mouth will just melt.I sincerely recommend this restaurant to everyone, the service is top-notch.The fresh ingredients and the entire restaurant are all Japanese.Every piece of sushi seems to melt in your mouth.I sincerely recommend everyone to try the 12-piece sushi omasaka. You will feel super surprised.“
“Seems simple. Looks like maybe "i could make this at home" but it is not. It is 10/10 actually and unironically the best thing ive had all year. And i get sushi ALOT. This is great. And i think other ppl have noticed too cuz ive been here twice an hour before closing and they've run out.“
“All kinds of foods from Akasaka sushi restaurant are always Hugh! Big! more n more foods coming!!! Particularly the Hugh sizes for hand rolls, Big volume for sashimi, even the lunch combinations.... Fish's are so freshly and smell good!! Tasty and delicious are guaranteed.... One of the best sushi shop in the area!! Services are good enough n right on... could be more effective but the restaurant is so busy all the times..!! Simple n classic Japanese style small petite sushi shop designed...“
“Kaizen Shabu is honestly such a vibe. First off, the food is AMAZING. The Shabu broth is so flavorful ? I’ve been craving this place so much it’s ridiculous. The servers are also all so friendly and knowledgeable about all the different food / drink choices. The vibe is always really fun as well. I highly recommend this spot!“
“Tabu Shabu in Orange County is seriously a foodie's dream come true. The flavors are just out of this world, especially the marinated chicken – it's like a burst of deliciousness in every bite. And oh boy, the variety of meat options they have is just incredible! You'll be spoiled for choice. The vibe in there is awesome too, with lively music setting the perfect mood. Plus, the staff are super friendly and on the ball with their service. Oh, and those kale noodles? Trust me, they're surprisingly tasty! If you're in Orange County and looking for a spot with amazing food, cool vibes, and great service, Tabu Shabu is where it's at!“
“Diamond in the rough. So excited to have found this place. The food, portions, and pricing are awesome!! Add bonuses it's super clean and the staff is nice. Oh, and the food looks just like their photos. It's crazy how picture perfect it is!“
“First time visit. The sushi was excellent with a modern touch. The restaurant had a friendly vibe with a nice flow of customers. The only hiccup was the language barrier with the server. The server got visibly upset when my group had difficulty understanding the words. I will return for the food.“
“Family restaurant, and very inviting and friendly family at that! The sushi was made quickly by Sai himself. It was exquisite! 10/10. Fresh salmon and flavorful ramen noodles. Also tried the mochi ice cream it was delicious. I will definitely come back. Cute lamps/lighting throughout and the fish on the sushi is visible to guests!! Very clean restroom and in general. It was such a pleasure!!“
“The most identical same taste from Osaka, Japan. I still remember the taste of the creamy & nutty Pork Cutlet Curry. It remember me on that trip. The trip is 14 days. Everyday in dinner I order this food. I just craving it. Wonderful!!! You all should try it. But missing one portion? The Japanese Pickled Ginger. Hope the owner can make this. I mark this restaurant as the most so far the best Pork Cutlet Curry I were ever tasted.“
“Delicious ramen! The Chuka Soba was phenomenal. The broth was perfectly balanced. Not too bland, not too rich. The inside is cozy and very chill. We sat at the bar to watch the cooks prepare the ramen.Gyoza was also perfect, the sauce was also quite excellent. Really enjoyed the variety of the music being played as well.“
“Stumbled upon this mom and pop sushi shop. When we walked in, it was about 5:30pm and empty so we felt kind of skeptical. The food told us otherwise. The carpaccio we ordered were flavorful and fresh. The sashimi piece were big and thick - fresh too!People started to come in and they had lots of to-go orders!“
“Great place to eat or pickup some sushi. This is not a place for high end omakase. It is more a place to get good quality Japanese food at a reasonable price. The workers are always friendly and it has a good relaxed vibe. Only drawback is that they only have one chef so everything takes a long time, even when the restaurant is not full.“
“I came here after visiting another ginko katsu in diamond bar because it was so good when I had it there. I was a little disappointed with the bento boxes, they weren't as good. the other location came with more side dishes+ pickled veggies. while it's probably really good standalone, i was kind of disappointed that it wasn't up to the same level as the other location :( however the atmosphere and staff is perfect!!“
“There are two reasons I would go back to this place. I saw it on Instagram, and I like to judge places for myself, so we went. The first reason I'd go back is they have an employee by the name of America, I told her it was our first time she introduced both beef and chicken teriyaki so we could taste both flavors and it was by far a great recommendation. Both had great flavor, so this place, I would say, is a good five-star. It's always wonderful when you find good tasting food but it's even better when you have staff that backs up the restaurant and gives you great customer service“
“Came here for the first time and really enjoyed it. I didn't try any of the Peruvian dishes, but we tried the octopus sushi, grilled octopus, tiradito sampler, one of the specialty rolls and everything was nice. The dining area is clean and roomy, and the staff was nice.Definitely coming back again.“
“The people at this restaurant are amazing. They treat everyone like family. They are friendly and very attentive. The food is also amazing. I have been coming here for around 20 years. We love to come for special events, like birthdays, but also... we try to come at least once a week. We love it here.“
“Many options. If you're looking for a japanese restaurant, I would highly encourage this place. Has rice bowls, bento, ramen, kids menu, and lots of sushi choices. The workers are very nice and positive. They have an age range of young to old, which can show authenticity. I personally went when it wasn't rush hour so food came out fast. Waiter checked up frequently to check on you if you need anything. All in all, I would definitely go back if im feeling of eating japanese food.“
“Yagi was an amazing find in Anaheim Hills. They are small and fill up fast, but their sushi chefs are top notch and incredibly fast. We tried their omakase, two rolls, miso soup, and their hot tea. All were fantastic. If you enjoy nigiri, the omakase is absolutely the one to go with.“
“The staff is super friendly especially David. The interior was very nice and neat. The food was super tasty, I got the combo plate of chicken and steak. The chicken was juicy and tender as well as the steak! The rice was nice and soft! And the sushi rolls were BIG! Great value for the food as well. Definitely an after workout meal as an affordable option.“
“Extremely high quality Sushi and presentation. A variety of uncommon types of fish and delightful presentations including rare fish and appetizers. Beautiful flavors and a calm dining experience lead me to recommending this place highly.Parking: The parking is free next to the Walmart.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly they can make whatever you'd like including egg sushi.“
“I had AMAZING experience being I had not enjoyed sushi made to order in years. The manager and Sushi chef were helpful in deciding on what sushi would satisfy my taste buds that meal. I would recommend this place looking for delicious meal. Thank you for the memory “
“Old place but I guess the ownership was changed 2 yrs ago. They serve very nice crispy donkatsu, not slim meat and serve Korean old fashioned cream soup. Not too long wait but Tasty Dinkatsu! Not too expensive but enough portion and nice sevice.“
“Tried this place as a recommendation from our friends. They raved about the Snowflakes roll which was spicy and delicious. We also had the spicy edamame, the Thousand Island roll, and the Vegas Baby roll. We picked up our order to go, but the place was very full on a Sunday evening.“
“The best service I've seen at a Shabu place!I'm allergic to peanuts and eggs, which most Shabu places I've found have not been very accommodating. But Miss Shabu has the most friendly staff as they wrote on the menu notes on what foods I'm allergic to and which ones are good. They were very efficient with setting up our table of 16 and were flexible when we had less people than expected. The food was really good for a decent price. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. Definitely recommend this Shabu place if you were looking for one in Buena Park.“
“Popped in here because the Bento photos looked so appealing. They did not disappoint. We enjoyed a ton of tasty food (could easily have fed two a normal meal) served by the friendliest staff! The tayaki were a little gummy in the center but maybe that's intentional? We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area! Limited seating but we easily got a spot for an early dinner.“
“Finally made it here!! My husband and I went here for date night recently and we ordered the two kinds of meat, the creamy udon, and the cheese tonkatsu. We happen to come on a Friday night a little after they open and luckily it wasn't busy just yet. The service was really fast and the quality of the meat was amazing! The cheese tonkatsu was a bit heavier so by the time we finished grilling our meats and eating some of the udon, we were too full to finish the cheese tonkatsu. The creamy udon is a beef curry udon with a topped layer of this special cream that has this grainy texture similar to mashed potatoes. It was good to try, but I wouldn't get it again. I'll probably try the other noodles that they offer. I really enjoyed the concept of grilling the meat in front of you to your liking. It comes as a set so it was a perfect meal. Will be back with some friends!“
“Always busy even if your lucky to get a phone order taken. Great food and great price. No dine in only take out. They have teriyaki and spicy mayo on the side counter to add to your plate cause you only get one sauce so better to add before you go.Parking: Next to barber shop and subway“
“Salmon sashimi and all of their no rice rolls are amazing! Japanese Burrito, Cucumber Special, Bingo Roll, Sashimi Roll, and house sashimi variants are all our favorites. Lemon roll is a nice fresh change with paper thin slices of lemon on top. OMG, Autumn, Forbidden Love, Kobe Beef Roll, etc., all good. Crunchy rolls all seem to be covered with a lot of home made crispy onions (good and tasty, but heavy for sushi), making those dishes heavy on the palate compared to the fresh variants, but good and probably favored by novice sushi connoisseurs. Grilled Chilean Sea bass roll is legit as well! All in all, fresh fish, decent creativity and presentation, friendly staff, and they serve beer! My fav sushi spot in the area. Online ordering for pickup makes it too easy! Cheers! Update: baked green mussels are really good too! Update 2: Majority of the time we get food to go; their presentation at the restaurant is quite beautiful. Tried some cold sake this time around and it was good. Love this place.“
“My wife and I have visited this ramen spot several times, and let me tell you something IT NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Owner of this place always provides the best service, and the atmosphere is cozy, it feels personal every time. Appetizers you can never go wrong, doesn’t matter what you choose & the ramen is great. The spicy tonkatsu miso is actually spicy and delicious. Everything the owner of this restaurant has to offer is A+.“
“The sushi was amazingly ? fresh. The place was clean and the presentation was on point. I loved the quaint atmosphere. We had an appetizer of blue soft shell crab. The breading was a bit thick and the crab was rather moist. The flavors were good but I'm not sure I would order that if I went back. Only because the balance of bread to fish ratio was so so. I think this combination could have been pronounced better with a sauce. We also ordered some egg rolls but again, their sushi was so good, had I to do over again I would have saved all my stomach space for another roll instead of the appetizer. The sushi was 5 stars +, the egg rolls 3.5*, and the soft shell crab 3.5. The mango tango roll had so many flavors going on I did not even want to use the soy sauce as it may overpowered all of the other delicate flavors happening within the roll. Same with the crazy monkey, loved the cashews and sauces and did not want to overpower the delicate flavors with soy sauce. The service was attentive to all of our needs. We also had Yuki Sake and that was delicious with a slightly sweet taste but not overwhelming. I would go back there in a heartbeat for their sushi and service.Rolls: Mango Tango, Crazy MonkeyWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the sidewalk.“
“Place is located along imperial highway in a quiet neighborhood. Hubby ordered the unlimited ar dinner which was 38.98 and 17 for my bento box. Prime quality of fish and sushi and the lady at the teception was welcoming! What a hidden sushi gem at brea and will definitely comeback!“
