“Efficient service. The food was exceptional! I'm a fan of their garlic butter with peppercorn razor clams. Their flavors are outstanding! However, the lack of taste after consuming peppercorn for razor clam's garlic butter is noticeable. Recommend the peppercorn flavor if you appreciate spice and robust flavors. Pineapple fried rice paired well with seafood inside.Udon with shaken beef is another great option. For beverages, we opted for the kumquat with coconut, which is refreshing. The prices are moderate but medium in size.“

“The golden chicken soup base is very rich and delicious, especially the Japanese A5 Wagyu beef, which is sweet, smooth and tender and melts in your mouth! The food is fresh and there is nothing wrong with it. I will definitely come back again. It was a great experience “

“I want to go there every day if I could. There are ample parking places, and the place is packed on weekends.Their lunch menu A is only $16.99, which is insanely low today with all the inflation, I honestly don't know how they can make money.You have to order the soup base and meat from the servers, rest are all self-serving. There is a snack bar with sesame balls, fries and spring rolls for the kids, and there are a line of freezers with literally everything, from veggies to seafood to tripe.Food is fresh given they move through everything pretty fast, for the price there is really nothing to complain.“

“This place is always crowded!! Came here recently Sunday afternoon, right when the bar opened at 4pm so we got a table in the bar area to eat/drink and watch the football games. There’s always a wait for a table at the restaurant, so plan accordingly, especially if you go for dinner.They have the big beer towers if your group wants to share. Full bar with lots of alcohol/cocktail options. Great food dishes were: Ốc Hến Bánh Đa (baby clams and escargot with rice crackers), Ốc Len Xào Dừa (coconut escargot), Ốc Saté Bơ (saté garlic butter escargot) and Cơm Chiên Crawfish X.O. (crawfish fried rice)—all delicious and well flavored!! And at the end, they give each person a small complimentary bowl of Chè Bắp (Vietnamese sweet corn dessert) which is good!“

“This was my first shabu shabu experience. The food was so great and the staff prompt and friendly. We had a short wait, not that big of a deal, but the owner came over and said hi after we were seated and apologized with warm sake. Can't wait to come back to California and eat here again.“

“First time trying this spot and was pleasantly surprised at the portion of the skewers and the price is decent. The beef skewers were tender and I love the beef with pineapple! Only wished there were more seafood options and items at the snack bar but overall loved the spicy house soup base and really liked they did have good selection of veggies. “Little Pan was a delicious stop for some Shanghainese cuisine. The star of the show was definitely the Stone-cooked Tasty Pebble Crispy Grass Carp. The fish was cooked with hot rocks in a sizzling pot. The texture was bouncy it almost felt like thinly sliced pork belly.For the stir-fry, I opted for the Wagyu Beef with Black Pepper. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the black pepper sauce had a nice kick without being overpowering.The Szechuan Style Chicken in Chili Sauce was another winner. The chicken was juicy and well-coated in a spicy and flavorful sauce. It was the perfect level of heat.Little Pan's mini pan-fried buns are a must-try! I had two varieties: the beef with a refreshing pineapple drink and the pork with a unique specialty orange drink. Both were delicious, with soft and fluffy dough encasing savory fillings. The drinks attached to the bowl of buns was a cool gimmick.To finish off the meal, I had a Tanghulu - Hawthorne. This candied hawthorn berry on a skewer was a sweet and tangy treat, a perfect ending to a satisfying meal.Overall, Little Pan was a great experience. The food was delicious and authentic, and the service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the mood for some Shanghainese cuisine!“

“Had a good time hanging out with my friends. Self-service picking ingredients: vegetables, meat, fish balls, shrimps, noodles, tofu, etc. You pay per pound. I feel good with a lot of varieties. After picking ingredients, you can choose soup from four different soup bases. They will cook and serve you in a big bowl. I love marinated chicken gizzards. I tried mild spicy original bone soup. Would love to try the same soup with medium spiciness and also tom yum soup.“

“Excellent AYCE hot pot place! There’s an attention to detail to the dining experience that I really appreciate. They have a lifting hot pot separator so you see what you put inside. Service is quick and friendly and never seems like they are limiting you in any way. The meats are high quality and thinly cut, the veggies selection is abundant and cleanly maintained, the sauces selection is good, there’s some appetizers and a soda machine. They have some deals sometimes, which usually happen on weekdays. Totally underrated!Spicy brother and mushroom soup base are my preferred duo.“

“The best service I've seen at a Shabu place!I'm allergic to peanuts and eggs, which most Shabu places I've found have not been very accommodating. But Miss Shabu has the most friendly staff as they wrote on the menu notes on what foods I'm allergic to and which ones are good. They were very efficient with setting up our table of 16 and were flexible when we had less people than expected. The food was really good for a decent price. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. Definitely recommend this Shabu place if you were looking for one in Buena Park.“

“Was craving for some quick hotpot on a cold day and this place definitely hit the spot I tried their stinky tofu hotpot and it did not disappoint. There's a decent amount of meat in there and other ingredients as well. I wish the broth was a bit stronger in terms of flavor but it was delicious. They have a sauce station where you get to put together your own sauce. Service was friendly and the food didn't take too long to come out. I actually prefer this over boiling point because of the less wait and the food is just as good, if not better.“

“This review has to be pure FIRE!!! That honor goes to Fusion Corner, which is one of the OC's (kinda) newest hot spots. Trust me when I say you do NOT want to miss out on this place!I went in with a bunch of foodie friends to try out some of their Asian fusion cuisine, and every single dish was off the hook! Everything they post on their social media is exactly what you get. This place has a casual vibe, and it's a great place for family and friends to gather.We started off with the Fried Roe Fish Balls and Popcorn Chicken. The fish balls came out hot and fresh, and they were slightly crispy on the outside with the soft texture you'd expect on the inside. The chicken was really good, crispy, and not greasy at all. I liked the dipping sauces they both came with, too. Next up was their famous Lomo Saltado Fries. O M G!!! This had me salivating when I saw it from afar before they even set it down on the table. The shaken beef on top of those perfectly fried, crisp fries was a party in my mouth all by itself!The final dish was the Back-Rib Pho, which has got to be the sexiest, beefiest bowl of pho to have ever hit my palate! I mean.. do you see those humongous beef ribs?! We had so much food left over AFTER we tasted everything. We each got to pack a doggy bag when we couldn't finish it all. You already know my motto: "Don't waste!!" LOL!To wash it all down, we had Thai Milk Tea (comes caffeinated or not, your choice), and the Lychee Rose Tea. I had the latter, and I loved every last drop of it. They even garnish the top to make it pretty, and I love pretty drinks!Parking was not the greatest, as it is extremely limited next to an apartment complex. I parked in the Wendy's lot next door (oopsie, lol). Prices here are very reasonable!! The employees are super friendly and answered any questions we had.I highly recommend Fusion Corner if you have an insatiable appetite but also want to keep your wallet happy. The best part is these guys are open late late, like 1 am late! Don't waste another minute. Make your way to Fusion Corner NOW!!! ;)“

“Great spot if you like mala (numbing and spicy) hotpot. It's Chongqing style, so spicy means spicy, and there are quite a few Sichuan peppercorns floating around--some don't like that, but I love it and that's exactly what I was looking for. They do have split pots so that you can get half spicy half not if you have a group with mixed preferences. Service was really good, and the sauce bar was legit, complete with all the most important elements in quantity for mixing up a dipping sauce just how you like it. It also had a good selection of other snacks, mostly carbs, but also a really nice pickled radish. Could be improved with a little fruit, like some sliced cantaloupe or something, but I'm not complaining.“

“Comfort food!! Delicious variety of soups and garlic noodles! The garlic noodles were packed with flavor and the green sauce that came with it was AMAZING! I like my soup hot so it was nice to have it boiling and you’re able to request it to turn off at anytime. I also love the dipping sauces. Service was AMAZING! “Halal. Shabu. And GOOD halal shabu. This is not an easy feat. They have regular menu with halal beef options (must get it marinated for all that added flavor). Great service, always clean, and yummy meat. Nothing beats shabu during a California winter. The spicy miso broth is also a must.“

“The food and service have improved significantly since we dined in 2 years ago. Everything we ordered, from combination fried rice, sausage rice to joy pot, were excellent and big portions. Milk tea is consistently good and tastes like authentic tea not some fake powdery stuff. Staff were great and food came out quickly. We will visit there more often.“

“If you are into spicy Chinese food, then you will love this place. This eatery serves Chengdu style food (a sub-part of Szechuan cuisine). It had the same 麻辣 taste for all of their dishes （literal translation: numb & hot pepper spicy) as in a typical Szechuan dish. Numbing effects came from black & white peppercorns, which you can taste quite distinctively. Thhis style of food is known as Maocai 冒菜(translates from local dialect: heat the food); , which derived from the hot spicy soup with all kinds of herbs pour over the ingredients creating steam (as in 冒烟as in “smoking”）just before serving to the patrons. You can choose from the menu or pick your own from the buffet bar and you will pay based on the weight of your selections. Once weighted, the kitchen will cook your concoction for you based on your selection of the sauce. All sauces were spicy and numbing. You can also choose lite spiciness, mid spiciness or extreme spiciness. This is the first time I’d tried this and I actually enjoyed the numbing and hot peppers flavor very much. I pride myself on eating spicy food, but I opted for lite spiciness here and it was plenty spicy for me. The prices were reasonable and the quantity was fulfilling for the items on the menu. You can also choose from glass noodle, rice noodle or instant noodle for your carb. I had the rice noodle and it was very well made. My wife selected the least spiciest sauce, the beef bone soup, with beef and it was just a bit spicy, but plenty of numbness.“

“Been wanting to try Mokkoji and I'm so glad I did today for lunch! My party of 3 came on a Sunday afternoon 30 mins after they opened, and we were seated right away. We each got a plate of meat instead of opting for a combo. We got beef toro, flat iron, and brisket and they were all soo good. Out of the three, the beef toro was our favorite. The marinade was delicious and they had two different sauces provided. If you get sukiyaki, which two out of three of us did, you get a raw egg to dip your meat in. It was our first time here, so we weren't sure if we're able to customize the vegetable plate. I would probably opt out of certain veggies next time as I don't want it to be wasted. For broth, we got spicy sukiyaki, sukiyaki, and spicy chicken broth. They were all good, but we overheard the party next to us order the crab one which we will be trying next time. Service was meh, nothing to really rave about. They do offer a number of appetizer that sounded really good, but we got the fried fish balls which was pretty delicious. It was pricey though, for $9, you only get 6 balls. Many reviews mention how they're pretty stingy with certain items like rice and udon which I do agree with. We ended up needing to order more udon. I also thought it was odd that most of their broth, you do need to pay extra for and the original is the only thing included in the meal... Other than that, meal was delicious and I would definitely be back!“

“Good personal hotpot place. Good price to permanent ratio. Pretty fast. The soups were all nice and drinkable. Even the spiciest level was not that spicy. Lots of veggies and meats to choose from. All tasted pretty fresh. If I were in the area I would come again if I have a craving for hotpot.“

“What a great place. Did Meal A all you can eat. Angus Beef and Wagu Toro great. Mussels ang egg a must for me. Love the squash and veggies. “I had a great experience picking my order today. My cousin speaks very highly about this place and their fried fish so we order our food to go. We got the ca nuong (fried fish), egg rolls, cha gio (Vietnamese fried spring rolls) muc rang muoi (fried squid), Tom tang muoi (shrimp) and beef salad. They told me it would be 30 minutes for them to make the order for pickup and it took that exact time. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and the mirror they added inside make the space look bigger. The roasted fish was delicious and all the other food we got as well. Everyone was happy with the selections. “Went there last night with friends on rainy day. It was really good, feel like back home eating hot pot. The service were fantastic, the servers were friendly and cute and nice, very helpful. The only thing was too COLD! Also we hope they can sing longer time. It was entertaining and the song was good. We have to drove an hour there. It's worth it. We definitely go again next time.“

“This is my favorite shabu place in OC. It's a little out of the way for me, but I am willing to make the trip. The flavor of the broth is on point, the presentation of the proteins and veggies is nice, and the appetizers...the apps! Such a good selection where other shabu places fall short. “Ah Lien owned by a small Taiwanese family may close by the end of this month due to slow business. This is one of the best hot pots and probably the last authentic Taiwanese hot pot in SoCal. The soup broth is tasty and authentic to Taiwanese flavors. They have a high quality and vast selection of meats. The service is fast & efficient as they are very quick with getting your orders. The price point may be a bit high compared to shabu shabu or AYCE places, but their quality is top notch. I've been a long time customer and I really do hope the community would come out and support this small business & the family one last time!“
