During the past 2years between health issues and not driving anymore I have rarely had it.I called today and ordered 3 bowls because Kanna (?) an employee said that they had one pot left and they will not be making it anymore! Why? They end up throwing too much away because no one is ordering it! Kanna said customers have said the soup "sounds gross" but once they try a free sample...They love it!For a few years I called them as often as I was available asking if it was on the menu that day and they had frequently said no or just sold out!!!HELLO ALL PB&J FANS AND FUTURE FANS!!! “We’re not from here and this place was wonderful! We’ve been twice now and very happy both times. The burritos are huge, and so delicious. The lady that works there was so friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean, and we couldn’t have been more pleased.“

“I’ve been going here for close to 40 years now. I grew up on this place. The food is awesome and consistent, same flavor and quality all the time. The staff is always helpful in my decision, explaining what they have in detail of their food and are always very friendly. This place is a staple and landmark for Port Hueneme, and probably one of the best Hoggie/ Sandwich shops around.Parking: Most of the time parking is no problem. Parking can be hard if it’s a busy day. Especially when the weather is nice and people are out and about. The restaurant can get busy and crowded. Definitely call in your order first if you’re picking up an order. It makes it much easier to get in and out easily.Kid-friendliness: There are several options for kids to eat.“

“Great restaurant to watch sunset. Food was also great. We started with Calamari. As usual, Calamari was well cooked; fluffy and soft. We had Seafood Pasta, Pan Seared Seabass, and Sesame-Crusted Seared Ahi for our main course. They were all delicious. Great ambience and sunset was perfect, I guess we picked the right day.“

Absolutely on top of things, checking on orders, apologizing for any delays, verifying things were correct, and all over the place from behind the counter to helping package and distribute meals - all in a very calm and humble manner. “Marshall emphatically answers the question of "Where is the MEAT?" And, so well cooked. (They had their BBQ grill going in their front yard. Hot on the spot.) This place is one of the most "Down Home" joints I've eaten in many moons. Their best efforts are in the food, which is really appreciated.I stopped for lunch at 1pm, and most of the orders were take-out from the working folks in the area. That tells you most of what you need to know. They know which places are best.The eat-in-area is as it would have been in 1960, but who cares when the food is top drawer? I had the best TriTip with BBQ beans and cole slaw. Superb.If you are looking for the best BBQ in Ventura, I suspect this place is Top-3. I say that only because I have a few places yet to visit. I promise that you will LOVE the food here.“

“It’s a cute large space right on Main Street in downtown Ventura. It has inside and outside seating. Along with a salsa bar and a soda machine which makes it easy to get all the fixings you need and make your own Arnold Palmer with the pink lemonade. We were four for lunch and with three fountain drinks and one beer it was $80. Not cheap however fresh and good. Three of us had fish tacos and olive oil had shrimp quesadilla. I wish there was some cilantro and tomato in it however I never asked. I did ask for sour cream and guacamole on side which they did no problem. Overall experience was 4.5 however certainly better than a 4. Sitting outside was a bonus and you can hear them call your number as you must pick up your food. Code needed for restroom. It was a really nice lunch and street is closed for pedestrians which makes sitting outside so pleasantVegetarian options: Without adding meat you can have lots of options and bean proteins too“

“We had a great dinner at Prime for my birthday. We love the food & service. The only issue we had is we were charged $6 for club soda! I honestly feel this is way too much to charge a customer. We also sat at the table in front of the fireplace, it was raining & windy out, but the exit area in the patio where we were seated was the only area not covered from the cooler weather & the heater was broken. Luckily the fireplace kept a few of us warm but everyone else was cold. We would've moved but we were a party of 6 & had already ordered drinks and apps. & didn't want to get up and move.“

“Lunch with coworker ... and we were trying to figure out where to go! Toppers never disappoints. Founded in my hometown of Oxnard, it is def a favorite!!! I had been to this local before years ago. I usually go to the one in Oxnard on Gonzales or the one on Front Street in Ventura. This is an older location that could use some remodeling and upgrading. I would love for their older locations to get some love :) Our pizzas were perfect. Came up quick! We were out within our allotted lunch time! Woohooo! My only rec is .. if you're looking for a nicer place- I'd recommend going to their Front Street location here in Ventura or their location in Oxnard by the harbor. Love the views at those two the most!!! If you're not an Oxnard hater .. my favorite is the harbor location right by the water! Regardless of which location you choose .. great pizza! Ask for it well done, since the upgrade to their ovens the crust can be underdone at times :/ This is our hack! Crispy crunchy pizza each time if you eat on site!“

“Lunch time , first time here , it was fast to order , the table we sat on was super dirty , waitress /cashier brought me the wrong item , she's funny, she told Me to just switch one of the tacos on my plate with person in front of me for his tacos , rather than taking my meal back and getting me The right order . Good thing I new who that other person was , anyways, we had the lunch special $12.00 fish tacos and drink , the fish is bland , no flavor at all , you have to fix it by putting a lot of hot Sause or salt or other ingredients. . Tortillas are pretty good , everything else was fine . I won't return .“

I come here quite often and I consistently get A+ service as if I were in a Michelin star restaurant. The food is also consistently very good, in fact the new honey pepper pimento sandwich was probably the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. While other restaurants have betrayed me(I’m looking at you chipotle), chik fil a constantly outdoes itself. Bravo, chik fil a, God is good.“

“Wheelchair accessibility: Nobody in my party was in a wheelchair but I did notice that there are no steps From the parking lot all the way to a table. There's plenty of room to put a wheelchair at a table simply removing one of the restaurants chairs. I don't think a person in a wheelchair would have any difficulty at all.“

“Just tried El Fortin as they had a food booth at the Guelaguetza in downtown Oxnard. The tlayuda was one of the best that I have tasted. The chorizo on it was delicious. My wife and a cousin had a quesadilla with mushrooms and flor de calabasa. It was served on a home made corn tortilla. Simply phenomenal. This will be my go to place for authentic Oaxacan food like my jefita used to make. Staff was very friendly.“

I asked for a recommendation and she recommended the California bowl. She was really interactive with me and made my experience very pleasant. “My favorite time to go is Monday through Friday during their lunch specials from 11am-3pm. I get the Alfredo pasta with 2 breadsticks and a ceaser side salad for $10 and a soda for $1.49. With everything getting so expensive, I think they give a great deal.“

“Drove through for dinner, they forgot to add the cookies at the end.Things happen, I might not have been loud enough when I ordered. I noticed when driving out the drive through. I had to come back around the drive through to order them. The staff were apologetic and helpful. Immediately offered to give me new food so that my old food wasn't soggy when I got home. It really showed how much they cared. I appreciated the extra mile I witness at this location. I believe it was team Harrison that assisted me.“
