“Great restaurant to watch sunset. Food was also great. We started with Calamari. As usual, Calamari was well cooked; fluffy and soft. We had Seafood Pasta, Pan Seared Seabass, and Sesame-Crusted Seared Ahi for our main course. They were all delicious. Great ambience and sunset was perfect, I guess we picked the right day.“
“Marshall emphatically answers the question of "Where is the MEAT?" And, so well cooked. (They had their BBQ grill going in their front yard. Hot on the spot.) This place is one of the most "Down Home" joints I've eaten in many moons. Their best efforts are in the food, which is really appreciated.I stopped for lunch at 1pm, and most of the orders were take-out from the working folks in the area. That tells you most of what you need to know. They know which places are best. The eat-in-area is as it would have been in 1960, but who cares when the food is top drawer? I had the best TriTip with BBQ beans and cole slaw. Superb. If you are looking for the best BBQ in Ventura, I suspect this place is Top-3. I say that only because I have a few places yet to visit. I promise that you will LOVE the food here.“
“I don't write reviews often, but I approached Xiomara when I received my to-go order and asked her name to write her a review. She was stellar. Absolutely on top of things, checking on orders, apologizing for any delays, verifying things were correct, and all over the place from behind the counter to helping package and distribute meals - all in a very calm and humble manner. I don't think she is the manager, but she has great qualities for that role if she ever aspires to do that. Thank you for excellent service and making my experience a great one!“
“It’s a cute large space right on Main Street in downtown Ventura. It has inside and outside seating. Along with a salsa bar and a soda machine which makes it easy to get all the fixings you need and make your own Arnold Palmer with the pink lemonade. We were four for lunch and with three fountain drinks and one beer it was $80. Not cheap however fresh and good. Three of us had fish tacos and olive oil had shrimp quesadilla. I wish there was some cilantro and tomato in it however I never asked. I did ask for sour cream and guacamole on side which they did no problem. Overall experience was 4.5 however certainly better than a 4. Sitting outside was a bonus and you can hear them call your number as you must pick up your food. Code needed for restroom. It was a really nice lunch and street is closed for pedestrians which makes sitting outside so pleasantVegetarian options: Without adding meat you can have lots of options and bean proteins too“
“As a Boston born and bred American, it’s truly difficult to find actual authentic Mom and Pops spots on the West Coast, as in can count on one hand the total in California. Had the surprise of my life today when walking into Sandwich Man!! Not only the quality, but the atmosphere!! I immediately felt like I was back in Boston, treated like a friend not a customer, and the Italian sub was UNBELIEVABLE. I don’t say this lightly, but this is THE BEST SUB PLACE ON THE ENTIRE WEAT COAST ????“
“I heard they started a new breakfast menu and the chilaquiles looked really good. They have a few options to choose from. I went with the asada and added eggs. The sauce has a really good flavor and than paired with the beans, asada, jalepeno, and avocado you can't go wrong. Cashier was super friendly and food came out quick for a to go order. Also plenty of room if you wanted to dine inside.“
“We celebrated my daughter’s birthday last night at this quaint little French bakery/restaurant. She had a Niçoise salad and I had the seafood crepe. The food, atmosphere, house wine and, most of all the staff, were amazing. The prices are not outrageous and the portions were generous. It is small, but a unique way to spend an evening out. The tuna and chowder were superb.“
“They have the best lasagna I’ve ever eaten.lol better than my own ?Great family run business love supporting small local businesses. The servers go above and beyond they are kind and attentive. Great place for sandwiches, awesome salads and take and bake pizza ?! I highly recommend for a convenient easy dinner .“
“I was impressed by the menu. Order each course to your liking. Each course elegantly served to enjoy every bite of delicious foods. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. Dark atmosphere with candle lighting. I truly enjoyed my experience there and put Prime steakhouse on my favorite list.“
“This place right here has thee best corn burritos amd the sauce that they put on them is to die for!!! Can literally drink it, the guy who I think is the owner understands my addiction and gives me extra sauce!! God I love him for that!! Anywhoo best food!! Best prices, best taste......I can go on forever!! But yall are going to have to see for yourselves lol love this place yummm“
“Lunch with coworker ... and we were trying to figure out where to go! Toppers never disappoints. Founded in my hometown of Oxnard, it is def a favorite!!! I had been to this local before years ago. I usually go to the one in Oxnard on Gonzales or the one on Front Street in Ventura. This is an older location that could use some remodeling and upgrading. I would love for their older locations to get some love :) Our pizzas were perfect. Came up quick! We were out within our allotted lunch time! Woohooo! My only rec is .. if you're looking for a nicer place- I'd recommend going to their Front Street location here in Ventura or their location in Oxnard by the harbor. Love the views at those two the most!!! If you're not an Oxnard hater .. my favorite is the harbor location right by the water! Regardless of which location you choose .. great pizza! Ask for it well done, since the upgrade to their ovens the crust can be underdone at times :/ This is our hack! Crispy crunchy pizza each time if you eat on site!“
“I've ordered take out from Rubio's on Victoria in Montalvo and find their service is great and their staff friendly. I like their fish taco plates and their healthy bowls. Prices are reasonable. This restaurant is always clean when I've visited. I will be back!“
“No drive thru but fast friendly service. I was hungry and burger was delicious ?Indoor and outdoor seating. Once you order your handed a buzzer, so you can go sit and relax until your food is ready (5min). Buzzer goes off and food is ready.Nice place. Comfortable atmosphere ??Parking: Small lot for parking. Also street parking availableKid-friendliness: Yes Totally Kid Friendly ??“
“My favorite time to go is Monday through Friday during their lunch specials from 11am-3pm. I get the Alfredo pasta with 2 breadsticks and a ceaser side salad for $10 and a soda for $1.49. With everything getting so expensive, I think they give a great deal.“
“Drove through for dinner, they forgot to add the cookies at the end.Things happen, I might not have been loud enough when I ordered. I noticed when driving out the drive through. I had to come back around the drive through to order them. The staff were apologetic and helpful. Immediately offered to give me new food so that my old food wasn't soggy when I got home. It really showed how much they cared. I appreciated the extra mile I witness at this location. I believe it was team Harrison that assisted me.“
“As REALTORS, my wife and I have hosted and attended several events here. It's a fantastic event space with plenty of parking and great service. The food is also very good, and there are vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. The beer is good too!“
