“The food was cooked to perfection, as we both had the chicken breast entree. What made the evening awkward was that after we finished the main course, my guest asked for the Dessert Menu and ordered ice cream. Please remember that they have a 2-hour window in place. We were seated at the assigned time (5:30PM) which should have allowed us to leave at 7:30PM. At approximately 6:55PM, she noticed that our waiter walked through the dining area and specifically looked at our table. This went on for several minutes, with each time looking at her ice cream and what was left of my chicken. He did place both of our leftovers in 2-go boxes. He must have circled the dining room 4-5 times, as he had another couple waiting. We finally left the restaurant at 7:15PM.“

“Service was amazing! Garrett was so attentive and would bring everything we needed before we could even think of asking. Service like that is what makes the experience truly memorable. The atmosphere is good too—not too loud and beautiful decor. Ingredients were delicious, but I was not a fan of some dishes (could be personal preference). The cucumber salad seemed too acidic and the pork belly with burrata pairing didn’t go well in my opinion. But again, the quality was great and the rest is personal preference. Would be an injustice if I didn’t mention that trout was absolutely delectable! Might be the best one I’ve ever had. Also, the vanilla soft serve with cardamom crumble was a hit!“

“Super cute restaurant inside the Park James Hotel. The only reason this isn’t a five stars because of a few operational issues. There is no parking. They do offer valet but only the first two hours are free. Luckily I found street parking about a block away so good to know that is an option. While the ascetics are beautiful, the comfort level is not great. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. The backseat cushions on the booth move around as it is hanging on a bar as a freestanding pillow situation.Unfortunately, the lighting kept changing from super bright to dim a few times during the hour and a half we were there. The food is five stars. Everything we had was cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. We started with the calamari. The sauce that came with it was so good.We then decided to share the ceasar salad and the squid ink seafood pasta. The pasta bowl was overflowing with tender seafood. The pasta was cooked perfect and the sauce had a little kick that was a welcome surprise. So good! ?The drinks and deserts were really good as well. The service was attentive, friendly and absolutely lovely. Everyone from the host, to the chef, to the servers were excellent. ??We were there on a Wednesday night and had no problems getting a table, but I can see how on the weekends or sunny days (for the outdoor area) it can get quite busy. Would recommend making sure to have a reservation. They also had live music the night we were there, and the talent was quite good.I will definitely be back for the food, but will be sure to request one of the high top tables or outside seating.“

“A lovely meal. The chef is super creative in the use of vegetables and original sauces. Nice selection of wines by the glass, which our server was happy to let me taste before ordering. Highly recommend the cauliflower starter and the chickpea risotto, which were quite exceptional. The baked cod however was a bit too salty. And we needed to order some bread to cleanse our palate afterwards. They did offer to remake the fish which was thoughtful, but it would have interrupted the flow of our dinner at that stage. That said, it was a great experience overall. And don't skip the s'mores desert!“

“I came here for the first time in 2017 to celebrate a friend's promotion. It was my friend's favorite place and has since also become my favorite place as well. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a more sophisticated time in American history (think of a restaurant thank Frank Sinatra would eat at). In fact, the waiter that served us that night had mentioned that the Iron Gate was Frank Sinatra's favorite restaurant in the Bay Area and that he had served Sinatra on a few occasions. Whenever Sinatra played at the old Circle Star Theatre in San Carlos, he would ask his driver to take him to the Iron Circle afterwards.“

“We love Vino Locale! Nice ambiance, great wine list, and solid snacks to enjoy. Of of the best things about Vino Locale is that the wine list isn't just the same 5 wines that you see at many other places, they offer a great variety of domestic & international wines, and treat each one well. I love the Sancerre on the menu, and appreciate that they offer 6oz or 9oz pours, half bottles, and full bottles. The Black Cabra Cabernet Sauvignon and Miraval Rose are also among my favorites. In terms of food items, I usually gravitate toward the chicken skewers are a good option and come with a few flavor/sauce options. The beet salad is good, and I often get their Brussels sprouts (know what to expect, though: they're not fried/crispy, but are tasty - served with parmesan, cranberries, almonds, and optional bacon). The cheese plates and hummus platter are also good, reliable options. Service is so friendly! They have a nice dog-friendly patio (and often have a few treats for pups), and live music most Thursday evenings.“

So naturally, I had to order it. The portion was just right. It was crispy and so flavorful with the gravy. The other item we ordered was a ham and cheese omelette with pancakes. “This spot is a downtown gem, off the beaten track, and open to the public (next to senior center Avenidas). The food is delicious, fresh, and has the “extra flair” that comes from Chef Julien being a passionate foodie and French culinary school trained professional. The fish sandwich is outstanding (I have now had it on three visits!) with beer-based batter (not too much, not greasy, not dry) with at least seven different savors coming through the sauce, fresh veggies, and condiments on the fresh ciabatta bun. I like to have it with a Perrier sparkling water and follow up with tiny raspberry jam-filled beignets and a small americano on the hidden inside patio. Chef Julien is working to expand and improve coffee offerings. He is kind, down-to-earth, and very approachable. And also does catering for events, has a crêpe stand at the Sunday California Avenue Farmer’s Market, and is a private chef. Great value for money.“

“This has become my husband and my go-to place for a quick, delicious breakfast. I usually get a skillet - every one I've tried comes out piping hot and packed with flavor - and a freshly squeezed orange juice. Unlike many other places, their orange juice is actually real freshly squeezed juice! Service is lightning fast, even when the place is packed.“

“Review is for bar. Lovely charcuterie. Could improve bread to meat ratio. Cheese is extra. Unclear what cheese would be on cheese plate. Did not inquire.Couldn't serve us anything from regular menu. Just bar bites. Unfortunate.Seats were heated which are nice except now there's no reason to cozy up with one another.Other food was decent. Forgettable. Charcuterie was the highlight.“

“Nice place downtown to meet for lunch. And the menu has been updated and improved since I was here last. I like gluten free bread and theirs is excellent. Turkey club, chicken salad, and other choices, all seem excellent. Salads are large and include mixed greens, and big ripe tomatoes. Sit outside if the weather is nice and watch Palo Alto's finest stroll by.“

And the chicken salad..which was fairly generous serving and included baby tomatoes, and bacon and brie cheese. Parking is easy and service was good and it was relatively quiet and easy to have a good conversation“

“Best F'n cheeseburger I have had in quite sometime. Reasonably priced but like gourmet. You can choose how you'd like them cooked and they do it perfectly. Mine was medium rare and incredibly juicy. Fries were outstanding and you can have a cold beer if you'd like. I heard that the milkshakes are amazing too so maybe next time I will try that.Came on Leap Day after running an errand and it was worth the stop. Would definitely make the trek back to Menlo Park for this gem. Give 'em some love!!Parking: If the parking is full, there are lots incredibly close you can use.“

“This was another adventure for dinner thanks to a Yelp search. I didn't realize the menu concept, or I missed it while checking out the menu online. But, I am glad that it all worked out.Visiting Belmont, we decided to choose this restaurant. I loved that they had hot dogs, sausages, and hamburgers. I am not vegetarian, but there were quite a few options for those who are not meat eaters. As we entered, I heard talking, laughter and the football game. The person who took our order shared with me his suggestions and I went for them. I had the chili cheese tots and the Holy Aoli burger. Didn't realize that all burgers are sliders. My burger was actually 4 sliders! One patty with 4 Hawaiian rolls as buns...yum. I asked for extra green onions on my chili tots, which were plentiful. My mother in love ordered their special Thanksgiving sausage, and my husband had the Reservoir Hog. I yell you, the menu is unique as it is good. Who would have thought that no hormone or antibiotic added meats could be reasonable priced and tasty. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and our ability to grab our own condiments, too.“

Their mac and cheese and gumbo are full of flavors. Will definitely visit again to try rest of the menu. Parking is easy to find as there are two free public parking lots nearby.“

“Los Altos Grill has firmly established itself at the top of my restaurant list. The undisputed champion of my Los Altos Grill experience is their Gilled Artichokes. Arguably the best I've ever had, they are incredibly large, expertly grilled to achieve a perfect balance of tenderness and texture. The accompanying house-special sauce adds a delightful finishing touch.Los Altos Grill doesn't disappoint when it comes to their main courses. Both the USDA Prime French Dip and the USDA Prime Filet are consistently excellent. The meat is always cooked to tender perfection, bursting with juicy flavor.Don't miss out on their dessert – ice cream smothered in hot chocolate sauce! It's a truly decadent way to end your meal.Overall, Los Altos Grill delivers a consistently impressive dining experience. I highly recommend adding Los Altos Grill to your list! “This a review of the Taiwanese Eats, part of a take out only place near RWC Costco. The purple rice Fan Tuan are great and the pig’s ears are problem the best in the Bay Area the at they slice it thin and with great sauce. The bento boxes are decent, but order from here for the fan tuan and Pg’s ears! Negligible parking, you just pick up so most people just do a quick wait on the street.“
