“Carne asada wet burrito was very good. Would recommend”
“Had my first classic cone and it was so good! Thank you - I will definitely be back!!!”
“Visited family in that area last month & my daughter took us to Veg Cafe for brunch...the french toast was wonderful..the fries were top notch & would love to know what coating or frying method is used to make them the most fantastic fries! Now all other fries will be blah in comparison.”
“We ventured in about two weeks ago ,and like it very much. So we came back with some family last night. The staff is very good and the service good and timely. Huge selection sushi items hot and cold.”

“I visited Classy Hippie on Saturday, January 17th for a quick meet and greet with the owner and some local friends. This place has a quaint welcoming atmosphere, an extensive selection of high quality loose leaf teas, a variety of grab-n-go bites as well as dine in favs, plus a self service option for quick check out. The aroma of fun, service and hospitality pair with a perfect blend of classy hippie that fills the air. I purchased the pineapple mimosa and English breakfast cream tea and couldn’t wait to get it back to South Carolina to savor the delicate blend of craftsmanship from someone who could only produce such perfection as a tea and coffee sommelier. Thank you Leo, Gloria, Stephanie and most importantly Thank You William for letting me peek inside your Tea World. Until next Time.. ☕️ 🫖”

“The Service (Leah) was outstanding & our food (chicken & dumplings and the lasagna special) was AMAZING”

“Every time I am in the area I love coming here because they have really great pastry selection here. They are hands down the best Patisserie shop in Sacramento for sure.
.
I love coming here for their traditional croissant and they also have other ones like Savory ham and cheese and even a galette too with berries. They have a wide variety of seasonal selections to your classic loaf of bread and sandwiches too.
.
They are also serving some coffee from your latte to your traditional espresso over ice and americanos. They even have lemonade too if you looking for something refreshing.
.
The inside is quite small with no seating but the line is always quick. They have an outdoor seating with benches so if you like to enjoy it there they have that for you. The parking is kind of tight and limited as well.
.
Overall I say this is a must visit for anyone that likes Patisserie to bake Goods. Thanks for reading and hope this review helps and have a fantastic yelp-tastic day.”
“Clean and pleasant atmosphere. The sourdough bread was delicious -just the right amount of tang, and the ingredients were fresh. I had an avocado turkey and the portions were perfect. Also their cookies are outrageously good.”
“Wow it's been 20 yrs. Since my dad passed. We no longer have Luis's which I'm sry I grew up with and loved. So we go for some authentic mexican. We had crispy beef tacos, cheese enchiladas. And 3 enchilads beef. Chicken and cheese. It was just awful. Tortillas were store bought and extra charge, sauce and salsa for chips tasted like out of a jar or can. Beans were good.Waiter was surly felt not one smile beneath that mask.(I saw the black girl's comment) We are white if that helps) Service was fast. Ambiance is great but I was just really cravin some good authentic mexican. We won't be back.left most of our food on the plate. $79.00 for 3 of us.”
“We ordered the pizza of the day (local heirloom tomatoes, garlic, mozzarella di búfala, parmigiano reggiano, Sicilian olive oil, genovese basil), rabbit agnolotti, and burrata with yellow peach and aged balsámico.
The pizza was good, very fresh tomatoes and cheeses, crunchy crust. Rabbit agnolotti was a small plate but absolutely tasty meat and pasta. Burrata pairing with the peach was delicious.
Small indoor dining area and small patio outside. Vibe is trendy but lowkey. We went about 5 pm on a Friday and it was very busy and a bit hectic. You order up front and then pick your seat. Service was very kind, good recommendations from the employee. All food came out within 20 minutes.”
“We had a work dinner at Canon in East Sac, and it absolutely delivered. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance — elevated but comfortable, with a great energy that makes conversation easy and the evening feel special without being stuffy. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor — creative without being overcomplicated. It’s clear there’s real intention behind the menu, and everything we ordered felt thoughtfully prepared. Canon is one of those places that works just as well for a professional dinner as it would for a date night or celebration. Incredible food, great vibe, and an overall experience that didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend.”

“I have been to Hook & Ladder for drinks as well as dinner, and always had a good time. I can add brunch to that list. We made a reservation but there was only other group in the restaurant for most of our meal -- and I have no clue why. The food was wonderful. Our group's orders ran from a breakfast burrito and salmon benedict to pork belly hash and two-egg breakfast. Major thumbs up by everyone. Staff was attentive, personable and entertaining. At many of the other establishments we have gone to for brunch, we need to wait for a table since reservations aren't taken. If you don't want to wait, make a reservation at Hook & Ladder -- even if the restaurant is empty like it was for us. We will be back.”
“The French Dip was Fantastic! I added Mushrooms and glad I did. The Aujus and Creamy Horseradish gave it Multiple Savory Flavors with a Bread that had the perfect balance of soft and crunchy to hold it all together. Our Server Lisa made the experience all the more enjoyable by being Super Attentive, Warm, and Funny!!”
“Anchor & Tree Coffee Roasting Co. is the reason I wake up excited to start my morning (I am not a morning person 😜). Not only is the coffee absolutely delicious, it is roasted using smart technology that produces zero-gas emissions. Donovan Albert (Founder) is passionate about coffee fueling connection with others. He has a contagiously-joyous energy and even personally delivers coffee to Sacramento-area customers. If you love great-tasting local coffee that’s organic, fair trade, and reduces your carbon footprint, then look no further! 🥳”
“Had dinner here on 1-15-25 party of 3. Very good service. Espresso martinis were great! Started with artisan bread and Brussel sprouts. It was a little weird to have the pancetta on the side vs mixed into the dish but everyone agreed we really liked them. Then we had Dungeness crab arrabiata, duck fat seared scallops and the short rib. Favorite dish was the short rib! The arrabiata had a good variety of seafood but I wasn’t a huge fan of the squid ink tonarelli. The scallops we tasty just tiny and too few, so that was the least liked dish. Finished off with a flourless chocolate cake that was good. Next time we want the brie appetizer! I’d dine here again but it hasn’t moved into my top 10. We each had a cocktail to start and shared a modest bottle of Pinot. Out the door $400.”

“Staying here for an extended amount of time due to a family member in the hospital. This place is my sanity. The location right by the hospital is key but if you have the means, staying here is worth so much more than location.
The staff is the first great reason to stay here, they are used to people having some of the hardest times of their lives and do absolutely ANYTHING they can in their power to help. The beds are so comfy (I'm definitely getting some of these pillows for home) and the building is that perfect sleepy quiet. I am not sure how would have made it through last week without this sanctuary to escape to for a rest.
I have a 4 yr old niece in tow waiting around to meet her brother in NICU and this hotel is great for a feeling of safety, there is a pool that I have yet to see overly crowded and the staff has interacted with kiddo in the sweetest way.
I'm not a coffee drinker but I do love an espresso Martini. The bar/bistro/Starbucks set up in lobby is really handy. So many food delivery options in this area too
If you are like my family right now and facing medical crisis, out of state and need a place to stay near the hospital for a loved one or your own reasons, make life a little bit easier in these hard times and let the Marriott take over one worry as far as shelter with some comfort goes (if you can afford it).
Even if your stay wouldn't revolve around the fun hospital stuff, it's a splendid place to rest ones head”
“This place is great. Tacos are massive, so worth the price. The fish taco was one of the best I have had. The adobada and carne asada were good, but nothing special. However, when you dine in and put the hot sauce and verde sauce on them, they are so good. Not going to be your hidden gem best ever taco place, but definitely a great place to stop for good food with large portions.”
“it's not in the best neighborhood, but definitely not the worst either.
But it is consistent. Open 24/7,friendly staff, in past 16 yrs + I've gone there I've never had a wrong order or cold food. Prices are reasonable and made to order ,which means it's always super fresh and fast!. Night or day it's a good bet. I recommend the cheese and onion with red sauce enchilada with a chicken taco beans and rice, yum!
or the chorizo breakfast burrito ,which is Huge. the morning line gets long but moves quickly and well worth the wait. never dealt with a grump in the bunch cause we were all there for the same delicious reasons!
So what I'm saying is you can go for the same old fast food crap or do something nice for your tummy and go to Carolinas! Don't forget the 🌶️”
“I have frequented this Carls Jr. for about 2 years and every single visit is a joy. The manager personally greets me on days when he is working and his staff are tremendously efficient and well trained. The Western bacon Chicken and Cali XL burger hands down offer the best bang for your buck coming in at $ 4.99 and $ 5.99 respectively. This is one of the very best fast food restaurants I've been to.”
“The most amazing, farm to fork seasonal menu! The dishes are both creative and sooo delicious! Magpie is in my top 3 places to eat in Sacramento! Come hungry so you can try both small & large plates and don’t miss out!”

“I’ve been to El Cantaro in Monterey about 10 times! I’m looking forward to going to the Sacramento version of this restaurant today! That has some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I love the fact that it doesn’t say vegan plant-based and all that stuff everywhere. It’s basically just a Mexican restaurant that happens to be Vegan. Can’t wait to come and visit!”
“I just need some good cheap coffee and a sandwich. Maybe a croissant? A BLT perhaps? I got 10 bucks, make it happen. They made it happen so I'll be back. Sometimes you just need something cheap and good. It's gotta strike that balance. This place does that for me. It's easy, kind, local, and fresh. Nuff said”
“My opinion best Hamburgers in Sacramento. Where else can you get a burger made from venison, wild boar, Wagyu, Bison, Camel or even Gator bites ? Exotic meats and great selection of craft beers owner is an awesome staff is great and the cook is on point. Oh and the fries are to die for 🤤. Definitely a must try if you are in the Sacramento area and love hamburgers and fries.”

“Food was yummy! Great atmosphere! Easy parking for the area. Service at the bar was nice, attentive, fun watching the craft drinks be made why we ordered different courses to share:) Didn’t leave room for dessert lol”

“Meeting a friend for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, she recommended we come to Southside Super. I had never heard of this place or dined here before so I was excited to try something new!
When we arrived, it was fairly crowded, but we managed to place our order at the register and snag a seat inside. Unfortunately, having arrived later in the day, all of the hot and cold to-go items were sold out.
I decided to try the chicken pho from their made-to-order menu. My friend ordered the spam fried rice. The food came out relatively quickly, and you can tell that it is absolutely made with the utmost care, love, and highest quality of ingredients.
This was hands-down some of the best chicken pho I have ever had in my life. I will definitely be coming back to Southside Super, especially earlier in the day to try some of their grab and go items, as well as more of their menu.”
“Is it a solid place? Sure. Would I go out of my way or bring guests here? No. Best Mexican place in sac? No. I waited 30+ minutes on a Tuesday lunch for a burrito. My bottle coke costed $4.44. Burrito was ~15-16$. Tortilla was fresh. Had the Al Pastor. Toppings were mid. No chips on the side. Salsa was phenomenal though ! Meat I’d rate 7/10. Apparently it’s charred or something but honestly didn’t taste the difference, and usually I can.”
“Firstly, might be the nicest baristas and staff of any coffee shop I’ve been to in a while. Spent time with me to explain things, super chill and like nice, very refreshing. Secondly, the coffee and their homemade syrups they use to make the cold foam, 20/10. Thirdly, the breakfast sandwich was out of this world. They’re doing it right at Immortal!”
“We visited Seasons Coffee Roasters this morning and we could not have possibly asked for a better way to start our day. The food was cooked to absolute perfection, was fresh as can be and hit the spot entirely. The hot mocha latte was to die for with such a classy design of hearts in the cream, the iced caramel latte phenomenally brewed, and don’t even get us started on the grilled cheese panini. The crunch of the crust and the oozing of each bite literally made us forget every care in the world, the prosciutto and bruschetta absolutely unrivaled, and to top it off the snickerdoodle cookie was as expertly made as we could ever hope for. The customer service was out of this world, huge thanks to Sam who made sure we were taken care of in every way. And the coffee shops vibe and energy provided the most pleasant vibe and energy so much so that we will most definitely visit again. Highly recommend.”
“Cool spot with hospitable staff and delicious food. We enjoyed the sake bombs, the tasty sushi rolls and Bento boxes. We will definitely be back to try more of the sushi rolls and have a sake bomb or two.”

“wow your website is trust worthy Hi! I saw your restaurant website—great work. “It’s true, all the hype you hear about Ruth Chris, the excellent steaks, cooked to perfection, the friendly waitress/waiters, the hot plates that keeps your meal sizzling and warm!! Yup, it’s all true!! Loved it!! Already making plans for an occasion to visit!!”
“I went to Hawthorne's Hideout for a May 4th Star Wars event. It was fun to see all the Star Wars stuff around the room mixed in with the tiki items. The drinks were all served in different cups, depending on what you ordered. And there was a cool show as each set of drinks were being prepared to be served. It was fun to be around other Star Wars fans during the time hand hearing the stories of Hawthorne. The food served was good and came out during the middle of the event. If you do go, I would recommend to wander through out the room to see everything you can on the walls, the floor, and the ceiling. It was so much fun.”
“From the moment I walked into V’s Paradise I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance was inviting, with warm lighting and elegant decor that set the perfect mood for a memorable dining experience. The soft sounds of jazz in the background enhanced the relaxed yet sophisticated vibe, making it an ideal place for both intimate dinners and celebratory gatherings. Now, let’s talk about the steak! I ordered the steak Frite and it was nothing short of perfection. Cooked to a flawless medium-rare, each bite melted in my mouth, and the side salad was amazing. The seasoning was spot on. Equally impressive was the service. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with enthusiasm and offering excellent wine pairing suggestions that elevated our meal. Their genuine passion for the food and commitment to providing a top notch experience was evident, making us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our visit. Overall, V’s Paradise exceeded all my expectations. The combination of mouthwatering steak, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere made for an unforgettable evening. I can’t wait to return and indulge in another incredible meal! If you’re a steak lover, this is a must visit destination!”
“I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Every course was exceptional, and the service was truly outstanding. Our server went above and beyond—gracefully and patiently managing a party of seventeen, from keeping the kids happy to ensuring cocktails flowed seamlessly between multiple courses. She made us feel completely taken care of, with no request too big or small. Mike, the manager, was incredibly gracious and accommodating, helping make our celebration luncheon an unforgettable experience. Kelly, the event coordinator, was responsive and helpful, promptly answering every question in the lead-up to our event.”
“What a fantastic meal! We are actually still dining as this review is being written. We ordered deviled eggs and truffles frites, they were amazing. My hubby ordered the burger and I ordered tge pork shank. OMG (GOSH!) it was exceptionally delicious and just plain good! We will return as this was our first visit. Tgank you for a wonderful meal and experience. Matt & Sofia”
“Authentic, fresh, and delicious Korean food. Menu is in English with phonetic spelling of items, so very friendly to non-native Koreans speakers/readers. Parking is plentiful, nearby the restaurant and throughout the plaza, with choices of shade, to keep your car cool in the summer. Entryway is well framed, with Korean themes, and the immediate feeling of entering a truly Korean eatery. Service, acknowledgement, and care is provided throughout the meal. Restrooms are clean. One less star for the atmosphere because they seemed to not have the AC going. For a hot day, and fully occupied seating, they had just a fan running.
Still, the most important factor, the food was excellent! I had the stone pot bibimbap, and the presentation was gorgeous, colorful, and so appetizing. It was served sizzling, with an egg, you could cook on the stone. Side of gochujang sauce was provided, in a squeeze bottle. I ate it all. Flavor, color, texture, healthy oils, fats, and vegetables mixed with rice. So gooood. Not even one rice grain left in the stone pot.
Considering all this, I would return again, and highly recommend Doma! Thank you for the pleasurable service and food, waitstaff and chefs.”

“🤤🤤🤤🤤😱😱😱 A 10!!! I GIVE IT A TEN!!!! OMG I just had your food for the first time today 4/25/23 3:59pm and oh my this California Burrito & Holy Guacamole Burger & fries is entirely too good and I will be visiting again. Please, Please, Please, Never Leave Vegas, and please build another location in N. Las Vegas (preferably the Centennial area like across the street from my house 🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰🥰) JK. But definitely in the Centennial area. Great Staff too. VERY FRIENDLY. ❤️”
“Our group of eight was searching for a sit-down Mexican restaurant with an open kitchen after 9 PM and found Jalapeños. We decided to give it a try, and the service was excellent—helpful and attentive staff. I sampled four different tacos, all of which were delicious, and the margaritas were fresh and flavorful. Overall, we had a great time, and I’d consider returning to explore more of the menu.”
“The staff was friendly, and the pizza was simple, affordable, and generously topped with fresh ingredients on the supreme. While the sauce and dough were decent, nothing really stood out as exceptional. Overall, it’s a solid, no-frills pizza focused more on value than craftsmanship.”
“We tried Sushi Paradise on a visit in Sacramento and it was nothing short of amazing! Completely exceeded our expectations. The location and ambiance were great, the food and the service were even better. They were very accommodating and attentive and made us feel like family. We will definitely go back the next time we are in town. You will not be disappointed!”
“I have been to this restaurant several times and am never disappointed. The food is fantastic and the service is personable and attentive. The ribs, chicken and tri tip are juicy and I requested the sauce to be all over the place because its so amazing! I have been in Sacramento a short time but when I moved here a couple years ago and found this place, I have brought everyone I know to eat here because its sooooo good! I even recommended this place to Guy Fieri! Thank you for being one of the best!”
“Pizzas are delicious! Service is outstanding. Love the laid back and fun atmosphere! Family friendly.”
“Had a tasty house salad and prime rib sandwich for lunch and it was delicious! Will be back! I had brought a cake, and they put it in their refrigerator for me before I could even ask. 👍”
“Pleasantly surprised with UoB! This was my first visit which was a retirement party for a coworker and this place was bustling! UoB staff greeted us, took orders promptly and efficiently, everything was delicious and correct, the vibes were really fun & I loved the semi private outdoor seating(trees/landscaping were blocking the public’s view). There was at least 50 of us at the party and another non related party occurred on the other side of the restaurant so I think it’s safe to say call to reserve seats/tables if you’d like to celebrate here. It’s not super large but I love the size of this establishment because it’s comfortable. I’ve been looking for more places that don’t break the bank while socializing and this is definitely one! The happy hour prices were amazing too! $10 for a smoking Old Fashioned, Raspberry Lemon Drops, Margaritas, food and more. And plus, regularly priced, those drinks were only a few dollars more so while happy hour was awesome, I won’t let that be the only time I come. This is one of those affordable places you can go to anytime. We thoroughly enjoyed the crab sandwich, the show for my husbands Old Fashioned and the positive vibes from Shift Lead On Y. She was awesome, her team was awesome, we had a lot of fun & we will be back! Bathrooms were super clean too! Thank you!”
“FIRST TIME VISITING LOVED EVERYTHING WE DEFINITELY RETURN SOON. DEFINITELY RECCOMEND YOU TO ALL I KNOW. THANK YOU.”
“I wish I knew the name of our server. He was amazing and quite knowledgeable. The chicken sandwich was gigantic!”
“Lovely restaurant and great food! Sesame chicken is delicious”

At many of the other establishments we have gone to for brunch, we need to wait for a table since reservations aren't taken. If you don't want to wait, make a reservation at Hook & Ladder -- even if the restaurant is empty like it was for us. We will be back.”
“Never disappointed by any part of the experience. Great staff, good times.”
“Newer place in Sac my sister wanted to try for her birthday dinner. She made a reservation for 4 at 5:30pm on a Sunday but when we walked it there were a lot of empty tables and we were seated quickly.
The uni pasta was super creamy and we ordered 6 different rolls which all tasted top tier. The presentation for the chef choice nigiri was stunning
For the amount of food we got the bill was much lower than I expected. We all walked out very full and happy — would recommend if in the area”
“Had a great time. Staff was quick and accommodating. We have some great food and drinks.”
“35 minute wait ordered the steamer pot for two.tha crab had no flavor, the shrimp was overcooked and cold.the potatoes were mush it tasted like the day before .not worth the money.”
“We’ve been going there for a few years and everything on their menu is wonderful”
“The French Dip was Fantastic! I added Mushrooms and glad I did. “Back in 2020 while in town for a cousin's wedding. The wedding party ate here. Being a retired chef from Louisiana but residing in Nashville. So I know seafood. I would give this place 5 🌟 because the food deserves 2 👍 and staff and place was A-1.”
“The atmosphere is calm and peaceful.
The food is so good. There's plenty of curry options. But try the dumplings called jhol momo! So so good.
And I also really liked the nepal beer Barasinghe
Crisp, citrusy, not too strong. Perfect imo”
“Worth the wait. Friendly staff. Food comes out quickly. Excellent food.”
“This place is great! I ordered the egusi and fufu with the fried plantains, and everything was delicious”
“Great place, great food and great service. Marcos is the best in cooking and Chloe, Nick, Bella, Steve and all of them are very nice! Definitely I recommend this place.”
“Having lived in Sacramento almost my whole life I've past by this place a thousand times, decided to finally try it the other day. The restaurant itself is very nice and the atmosphere is very inviting. The staff and service is top notch. The food was good, fairly limited selection. I had the cheese ravioli with red sauce and a meatball on the side, which was well prepared and good. I think maybe I picked too basic of a dish and wasn't really wowed by it. I'll be back and try the lobster ravioli next time. All the mains include a scoop of serbert ice cream which I will say was the star of the whole show. Cool Sacramento restaurant and I can see why it's stood the test of time.”
“The venue is unique and the beers are good. The brisket and the half spicy Hawaiian chicken were good but not something I'd make a special trip for. Both of them came out cold as well. The collards were surprisingly good. I'd definitely try them out again and try something else on the menu.”
“wow your website is trust worthy Hi! I saw your restaurant website—great work. “We were visiting Sacramento for 1 day and saw the reviews for Sushi Cafe - so we tried it out - and we weren't disappointed. The sushi was very good, the staff was friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable. The only thing that disappointed was the Oyako Don - which was overcooked. All in all - this was a great find.”
“So my husband and I came from out of town to come spend some quality time for our anniversary so our day didn’t go very well as planned except us coming in here for a amazing dinner the vibe was awesome our waiter Kyle was amazing very friendly and caring he’s a people person and makes you feel welcomed and comfortable so we ordered the rib eye dinners which were so delicious 🤤 then after Kyle brought us out a desert to share with happy anniversary on the plate this was the only part of our day that went well so big thank you to Kyle and Yard House we will def be back”
“Super nice dining experience and a very beautiful restaurant! Easily accessible from the street. The food is delicious but on the more expensive side and the portions are reasonable but not generous. Overall a great place for date night. With tip I spent $80 for a mocktail, ravioli with added chicken breast.
The immediate area surrounding the restaurant was not super nice or walkable in my opinion so it's more of a destination and less of a night out experience.”
“My husband surprised me with dinner at the Melting Pot before a James Taylor concert at the Golden 1 Center, which is just a few blocks away. He made reservations for the "Romance" package :D and it was super fun. The food and experience was excellent and our server was awesome.”
“We hosted our end of the year celebration for the Junior League of Sacramento outside at the large table under the pergola. The weather was beautiful, the ambiance was serene and the aperol spritzes and the bubbly rose were everyone favorite. We made a reservation for 16 people and opted to work with Cheryl to order from the catering menu, which I highly recommend for a group this size! The food was exquisite and very plentiful portions! Thank you Cheryl and Betty team we had a memorable night!”
“Stopped by Swabbies on the River on our drive to Sonoma and we had an awesome experience. Josh took great care of us and the service was top notch from start to finish. Had a great local beer and the beer battered fish tacos were absolutely incredible.... honestly the best taco I’ve ever had. Great food, great atmosphere, and great people. Definitely worth a visit!!”
“Such great people, great food, and great beer. The staff here really makes you feel like you're family.”
“Very nice young man served us. The Margherita pizza was very good and the green salad was delicious. The whole menu looked inviting, have to try the Sunday brunch.”
“Mixed feelings 🤨🤨🤨🤨 food was spot on delicious!!! service was pushy and fast pace 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ or I’m just not used too these type places 😎😎😎”
“Great food, friendly staff, nice fully stocked bar and modern interior. Will be back for sure.”
“The broth was on hit! Even though I brought my own pepper sauce but the broth was cool. Out of all Shabu places I been this place gets a 10.”
“Super yummy, as always! Spicy Curry Noodles are amazing. I am fat and happy tonight! 😃”
“Contemporary atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food! We enjoyed a selection of craft brews, the beet salad with buratta, the Brescia wood-fired pizza, and affogato for dessert. Dining at the bar, we enjoyed a spirited conversation with Tyler. It was a delightful evening!”
“One of life's happiest accidents was finding Everest Curry. We had no idea how spoiled we'd been by the Himalayan restaurant we'd had in our little town of Jackson until it closed (for renevations) and we had to go in search of comparable food. It just wasn't to be found...anywhere...or so we thought. Then we found Everst Curry. WOW! Amazing food! I'd almost forgotten how much I loved dahl soup. And the chana masala...and the mo mo...and the vegi pakora (oh my, the vegi pakora)...and the samosas. And then the house specialty, the "Everest" curry. We had the lamb. So tender you don't even need to chew with what seemed to be a tomato based korma (maybe) with spinach. I was almost in tears! We're still looking forward to our Taste of Himalaya restaurant re-opening, but we sure know where to go to get our fix in the meantime. Thank you, thank you.”
“Ok. I have been 2x now so I feel like I can fairly rate. The fish is always fresh and yummy and the toppings are well balanced. This time I sat on the patio off to the side with my dog and they were REALLY nice to her. The brought her a yummy treat. The hand rolls are STUFFED and filling which i appreciate. I’m excited to keep visiting!”
“The food tasted great and customer service was great. What i did not appreciate was the fact that we went to the buffet and my teenage son wanted to treat us well not knowing they had a table with dessert we asked if for everyone with buffet they said yes. When my son went to pay what was supposed to be $60 for 3 buffets was $85 because each item was individually priced on the dessert. Also they ran out of the meat that his friend enjoyed eating so he didn't get the full enjoyment of the buffet. They stated they would make sure not to run out we could come back tomorrow but at $85 that is way too much.”
“Breakfast was really good. Eggs were cooked perfect for me and tots were golden brown and didn’t taste like old fryer oil. cool neighborhood joint in east Sacramento. The new owners are doing good things to the place. Place was getting busy by the time we left. Mixed crowd with good vibes. Nice outside patio area as well :) I think they had every game on they could. LOTS of TV’s……. Will be back for sure.”
“The food here is unparalleled. The chef, Joe, has such an amazing palette. Every single dish is made with so much effort and intention. I’ve never had food with such diversity of flavor and depth anywhere else. My favorite dishes are the carrot three ways and the scallop ceviche. The menu changes with the seasons as the dishes are based on current fresh produce. The restaurant is decorated with a variety of art from one artist, which in itself is amazing. The focal point is the portrait of Joe’s mother, in the heart of the restaurant above the kitchen window. Joe really pours his heart and soul in every part of this restaurant, and it shows.”
“Have been coming to Moxie for decades now, and it's one of my favorite hidden gems in Sacramento. Great food, great service, and Adam is a hoot. Would love to see them open during the week like the old days, but barring that, I'll still continue to visit for dinner on the few days they are open.”
“10/12/2021 Recommend? Yes. Let's get straight to the point: BEST VEGAN BUN BO HUE. That's it. I'm Vietnamese and since my vegan journey of more than 2 years I haven't been able to find a satisfactory bun bo hue. My favorite ones ever have always been in Viet Nam at a little stall in the market or the neighborhood house that makes it to sell. Here I ordered bun bo hue and cha gio. Do take my review with a grain of salt because I had been hungry for daysssss, well really just 1 day because I was on a train. Lol. The bun bo hue here comes with a paste and you should definitely add it to your bowl. It has banana blossom as a veggie to add, but in addition to that I would also love some morning glory. The broth was well seasoned and not overly sweet like a lot of over bun bo hue and the mushrooms, tofu, and "meats" have well absorbed the flavor of the broth too. The cha gio (eggrolls, spring rolls) were fine. I didn't hate it, but I didn't think they were extra great either.”
“I was here for a group get-together on a Thursday night and it was packed with people of all ages. There's plenty of everything here; food trucks, craft beer, outdoor seating, live music. The people who run this joint have it nailed down, plus it's in a neighborhood that's starting to pop. Highly recommend.”
“3 stars, dog friendly, but could be little more dog friendly , never asked if the dogs needed water, food left, while I was in the restroom, never received silverware, a movie on the patio? A game etc”
“Tasty food every time! Sellands has been a favorite for years, and has catered several events! Highly recommend the pizzas and the Mac n cheese!”
“Once again I am never disappointed! Food and staff are amazing!”

“Really impressive spot in Sacramento. The staff is incredibly attentive and personable. The food was amazing, the Kamboka (sp?) Curry dish was exceptional, and my partner had the Tuna plate and we shared a Hummus *chef's kiss - delicious! We had an amazing time. The atmosphere was lovely and the view from the rooftop was spectacular. Our server Veronica or maybe Victoria (sorry) was superb. She was so nice and so helpful in guiding us through the menu selections and recommended one of the best cocktails I've ever had "Figgy Smalls". Overall, just a really fun night out and great spot quality, service, venue, 5 stars.”

“Came to Chevys for Happy Hour and stayed for dinner. Antonio was one of the best servers I’ve had there. He met all of our anticipated needs without asking. The restaurant was busy, but he made you feel you were his only table! This was a direct reflection on management- Manager Dawn was pitching in and assisting all while with a smile on her face. She was attentive, professional, and courteous. Highly recommend Chevys! Ask for Antonio’s section, you won’t be disappointed!”
“Went for Mother’s Day. Wait for food was kinda crazy 1.5 hours for the appetizer. Food tasted good but portions were extremely small for the $85pp . I got the steak with fingerling potatoes and fava beans. I literally had 2 potatoes, 5 beans and possibly 3oz of very rare steak. Needless to say $300+ later… we are still hungry and hitting a drive thru”
“One Star- The food was not what I expected. The flavors of Italy was not there. The seafood pasta- clams and Musscles, we undercooked, shrimp and scallops were low quality and bland. 0 flavor. Sauce was very lacking in flavor. Couldn't tell if there was garlic in it or not. The bread had a distinct hint of burnt flavor on the back of my tounge. Not sure if you need to request bread or parmesan or what but I saw lots of people getting extra service. I definitely won't be back and maybe thats the point of giving some folks bad food or service is so their kind won't come back? Who knows but mission accomplished. I nor anyone I know will be back.”

“First time coming here the other day and I would like to say that I was very suprised that this place isnt talked about more. The atmosphere was amazing and the decoration was definitely unique and memorable. Not only that but the menu is very diverse and can almost guarantee that it has a thing for everyone here. If you are near the area and want to visit a cafe you should definitely check this place out just for the atmosphere alone. The two drinks that I tried were delicious and if you do come I would 100% recommend the pistachio milkshake.”
“I came here for a nice little coffee and sandwich and I wasn’t disappointed. The lavender latte and croque monsieur were both delicious. I do wish they had a larger pastry selection though. Overall I’d be back, they had friendly service and good food for a casual date or brunch.”
“This place is ABSOLUTELY Amazing! Abel waited our table and the chef was awesome. I have not had food made to this quality in quite some time. This is by far one of the best Mexican Restaurants I have ever been to. The neet was flavorful, tender, juicy, and every dish was served with aesthetic appeal.”
