“An unexpected gem of a place and in one the sweetest little town’s on earth, San Anselmo, California. Service was outstanding and the selection offered unique and varied. I didn’t anticipate that gluten free would be so yummy! I had the orange/chocolate polenta cake. Wow! Was that a satisfying treat! And best of all no digestive issues for me, later on the way back home. Another thing about this bakery on San Anselmo Ave is that it is a place for locals. People as far as Lagunitas, stopped in to get a gluten free favorite. Another patron stopped in and picked up the bakery’s own made granola. I want to go back and have lunch, they have a lunch menu and make savory items. I also want to try there sourdough chocolate chip cookies. Get there early, parking is sparse. Downtown San Anselmo gets busy. Oh! And, they have gift cards available. This place is a nice healthy alternative to Starbucks for sure!Vegetarian options: Every thing made at this bakery is gluten free.Parking: Street parking is limited, especially at busy times. Public parking lots are available but they cost money.“
“A Red Hill staple for YEARS. The kind of place where you can fill your belly for a few bucks AND get a birthday cake. The savory "snacker" pastries and pot pies are an amazing value making them a popular stop for Archie Williams High students so you may want to wait if it's lunchtime at AWHS.Kid-friendliness: Popular with the local High School.“
“Love this store and I would love to say that all the people that work there are amazing and that I would drive as far as I have to to shop at that store....I have noticed a change in management there.....it seems like ever time I go in there there a couple of things that I have been looking for and are out but over all the store has everything I need....I just want to also as that they have the friendly staff there....from the front end manager to the store manager....it is a great store to shop for a small community....“
“Some of the best pastries I’ve had in my life — and I’ve had a lot! The chocolate croissant was so light and so flaky — unlike the too-heavy or -bready croissants you get most places. Chocolate chip cookies are the same deal — light, crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, SO tasty.“

“We're from San Francisco and were getting married in the city, but decided to venture across the bridge after striking out on other vendors due to price, size limitations (270+ people), or general availability. We feel so lucky that we came across Krumbs based on the A+ experience, from tasting to delivery. One thing we truly hoped for was a true cake-tasting experience. In the post-COVID landscape, everything is "come buy cupcakes and let us know what you think." We went out to Krumbs and were so excited to be able to sit down and be treated to all of their cake, mousse, and frosting flavors, and even though we had only inquired about one flavor, we left with two. They were also super-flexible when it came to design and weighed in with their own opinions after learning about the wedding vibe, cake topper, etc. Their pricing was affordable but the experience felt premium in every way, from the tasting to delivery and putting the finishing touches at the venue. We were able to hand them off to our venue coordinator and they managed everything from there. We also had them do our sheet cake for the rest of the guests so everyone could have the same experience. We like them so much we went back to buy a birthday cake for my mother-in-law a few weeks later. SF is great but I feel like we found a gem in Krumb's and would recommend them to anyone.“
“I was rather upset when I moved into Marin County because my favorite bread place was Raymond's in South San Francisco. Then one day at Safeway I decided to try a Bordenave's extra sour baguette. I am in Seventh Heaven. I'm hooked onto these beautifully tasting baguettes. One day I'll make it to their bakery in San Rafael.“

“This place is the best and I hope they never close! I grew up in the area but now live out of the country and my family has relocated to the east bay but I still make the 60 min drive all the way to Jelly Donut whenever I come to visit them. The owners are super friendly and generous, often throwing in an extra freebie too. We've tried 4 other donut shops in the east bay and none are even close to as good as these. Long live Jelly Donut!“

“I was having a party in Fremont, and wanted cute floral cupcakes (that I've had bookmarked in my Pinterest for YEARS!!) i did a search of the area, looking to see who makes such a thing. Of course I had no luck. I was able to find two bakeries somewhat close (over an hour away). One in San Rafael and one in Sacramento. San Rafael happens to be somewhat closer to my office in San Francisco so I figured I could Uber deliver some cupcakes to my office. Owner Sarah was amazing with working with me on time, date and delivery, not to mention finding the right color combination for my bouquet etc. My bouquet came out gorgeous, everyone loved them and they were extremely yummy. I highly recommend this bakery, especially for events as your guests will be in awe with the floral artwork. They look so real!!!!“

“I had brunch there today and it was delicious! I had the California Benedict. The hollandaise was smooth and tasty, the avocado was abundant, plenty of spinach and I loved the toasted sourdough (in place of a regular muffin.) The accompanying fruit combo was nicely presented, plentiful, and fresh. My daughter had the creamy polenta with poached eggs and eggplant, and feta and loved it. We're definitely going back for more.“
