“there were 4 of us and only 1 person had been to Insalata before. We ate indoors but there is outside seating when weather permits. Room in inviting and has a good vibe. We had a bit of a wait to be seated but not annoyingly long. Once seated service was attentive and professional. Tremendous menu-lots of options for appetizers as well as entrees. Food was well prepared and beautifully presented. Good wine list, too. wonderful, wonderful evening“

“Second time since 2021. While price has increased it still offers one of the best value in the area for tasting menu. Most of the courses are on point and creative. my favorite is the jidoji egg. The tortellini is a bit bland, but still good. I like that the atmosphere is intimate and unassuming.“

“We enjoyed the most delicious meal. Authentic Italian cooking with wonderful attention to detail. I started with a salad of pear and radicchio. It's not pear season so I expected an unripe pear with minimal flavor to be honest. But I love radicchio so went for it. The pear was juicy and tender. What a delicious contrast to the crunchy radicchio and mustard vinaigrette. If that much care is given to the salad you can imagine how delicious the rest of the meal was. We left our plates scraped clean. ? They have a fabulous and affordable wine list and the staff make you feel like longtime friends. Our table was flanked by devoted regulars who were effusive in their love of Chef Valenti's talents. We could see why! We went on a busy weekend night and they never made us feel rushed to turn the table. For sure this is the best Italian food in san anselmo— but I'm just gonna call it. You can't get more delicious Italian food in all of Marin.“

“Love this place! Pizza is delicious, its a fun casual atmosphere, and they have a great list of drinks on tap. They also have roadside service for weekend nights where it's maybe a little too busy to get a table. Fun place to catch a basketball game too!“

“Good bagels and selection. Bagels are on the small side which I like. And the price is right, which is a breath of fresh air these days. My only complaint is the staff. The last couple of times I’ve been there (in a period of a few months), they hardly say a word to you, seem completely disinterested in the customer and annoyed if you ask if they have something that they don’t.“

Shrimp spring rolls were fresh and flavorful, I liked how the shrimp were actually slightly seasoned and the sauce was definitely homemade, tasted great on its own with some white rice. Their yellow curry and pad Thai were great as well. Personally I feel as though the food scene in the bay had gone downhill in the past few years and it's been a long time since any Thai restaurant in the Bay Area blew me away, but this is definitely one of the better options in the area.“

Shared the Drunken Nootle with Tofu- it was tge most delicious I've ever had, it was not saturated with oil it was just right. Highly recommend dining here!!!Parking: Excellent service! “We have been looking for great pizza since we moved to Marin a little over a year ago. I am happy to tell you that we finally found it! This pizza is as close to Neapolitan style that can be found in Marin. They have unique and well thought flavor combinations, especially the "Pizza of the Month" offering. My favorite is the "Escalle": tomato, house mozzarella, house sausage, Zoe’s pepperoni & fennel pollen. I get mine with extra red sauce. They offer a take and bake option where your pizza will be mostly baked and you finish it off at home. This is a great option because your pizza will be as hot and fresh as possible when you pull it out of the oven. The pasta dishes are also tasty and well thought. If you have a sweet tooth I highly recommend the "Butterscotch Pudding" it is absolutely divine.“

“A must go to place. We went because of the chicken pot pies that are famous everywhere within 50 miles of here. We arrived at 10:20 and was told the pies are in the oven come back at 11. No problem for us. We bought two hot chicken pot pies, one bbq beef pie, one lemon bar and a shortbread cookie. Got to our car and ate the cookie. Went right back to the bakery and bought four more. The chicken pot pie was wonderful. Delicious crust, perfect sauce, high quality chicken and lots of peas, carrots and potatoes. The pork pie was perfect as well. Go here and try for yourself. Very reasonable prices and the people are wonderful. Yummy yummy.“

“We had birria tacos for the first time and can’t wait to go back for more. They have a very extensive menu with something for everyone. I love that they have a salsa bar and chips you can get yourself. Great service and plenty of parking. Highly recommend.“

“My husband & I used to be regulars at this restaurant until we moved out of Fairfax and further north so it's been a while since I have been here. I went last night for dinner with my sister and we had a fantastic meal. The server was very attentive and patient. He was great answering our questions and held one of the appetizers she had ordered to keep it warm until I arrived. Very nice. The only thing is that now that I'm vegetarian, there weren't a lot of pasta options and I ended up with a margarita pizza. It was yummy so no complaints, but I would love it if some restaurants in Marin would start to make more of an effort for vegetarians and vegans, especially since more and more people are going at least partially plant based. I have to say that it is the running joke for me with my friends that when we go out to eat, I have the choice of a mushroom dish as an entree unless I decide to do salads or apps. There are so many other things to do for plant based appetites than mushrooms and butternut squash. And I feel like Italian should be one of those restaurants that can really do a nice job with non-meat dishes. Okay, that being said, we had a great time, the apps and wine were delicious and the dessert, Tartuffo, was as delicious as I had remembered.“

“Taco Jane's is a quaint restaurant with an energetic and friendly waitstaff, and food that is well worth the mid-range Marin County prices. Beers on tap, indoor and outdoor seating, and the occasional bard with guitar and amp posted near the entrance give this place a fun and relaxing feel. They have many vegan friendly options. I recommend the jackfruit tacos when they are on special.“

“Every time I am in the area, I have to go here for the Petaluma Pesto Pizza. They are always very fast and pizza is delicious. I was given an hour time frame for delivery, and we are only maybe 5 minutes away. Not even 30 minutes, our pizza was here and exactly how we wanted it.“

“Trust me y'all, when they dissect me after my death they will find Edo Grill noodles coursing through my veins. I go here CONSTANTLY! It's the only decent drive-thru in Marin. The service is friendly, fast and consistent. I can call when I leave work and my food will be ready in the ten minutes it takes me to drive there. The location is perfectly convenient! While I don't often eat in there, I remember many a fond afternoon slurping down udon in their dining room. Trust an expert (me), this place is worth your time!“

“Only had a couple of soups, but they were both OUTSTANDING! The wonton was chock full of wontons and veggies with broth that was flavorful but not too salty. The Hot and Sour was both--actually spicy enough that it left my face flushed (and that's a compliment!) and sour enough to balance the spice. It's also a bargain at less than $8 for a quart. Will be back often!“

“I've had a very tough emotional few days and I called in at closing to ask if they'd still take an order - I was fully expecting to be told no. Much to my surprise the woman I spoke to kindly said yes without hesitation. One thing - chicken chow fun. My order was piping hot with plenty of flavor and salt just as I'd hoped. Chewy noodles amongst, tender chicken and crunchy cabbage. Excellent. The food was good but the woman who was so kind as to take that order deserves a 10/10 in my book. That small act of kindness did so much more than you even know -- thank you!“
