“Just moved to the area and stumbled across this little gem. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately. Mind you it was a Friday night at 7pm so that was a plus. They also had bar seating available and back room tables available for a short wait. Hosts and servers were all so nice The wine selection was decent and the service was great. The fresh bread the gave us with dinner was delicious and served with regular and pesto butter. They didn't skimp on the clams. the spumoni appetizer was great. Will be adding to our rotation of restaurants for date night. We ordered: Bruschetta appetizer Pasta Puttanesca Vongole with white sauce Bottle of Daou wine $50 spumoni bomba paid around 130 before tax? not bad! Place was fancy enough for date night but also causal for families as well.“
“Came here for a group lunch (4 adults and 3 kids) and had a wonderful meal! We started with salads and also their Fennel Caprese appetizer. The salads were super fresh, quality veggies and perfectly seasoned. The Fennel caprese was a delicious and refreshing starter, slices of sweet juicy orange on crisp fennel and with a creamy slice of mozzarella, and topped with pops of pomegranate seeds- flavors fondly reminded us of our travels to Sicilia. Then we had the short rib ravioli- a must-try! Tender chunks of short rib fill each ravioli, and topped with plentiful mushrooms, earthy and rich- decadent for sure (and well balanced with the salads). Our friends had the Amatriciana bucatini which was another winner- rich tomato sauce with satisfyingly salty guanciale and a hint of spice. We had their house white wine (Pinot Grigio) that went perfectly with our meal. Great friendly service - and appreciated that they let us blab away and didn't rush us for the bill (another lovely reminder of Italia). Highly recommend and looking forward to returning next time we're in town!“
“I’ve been eating Guicho’s for years! And have always gotten the fettuccine with shrimp, and will always love the incredible flavor, but lately the shrimp have been overcooked and even after asking to not overcook the shrimp …it comes out tough and dry, have you guys changed your method of cooking ? Disappointing but will have to try something else. Tonight we’ll order the linguine seafood. Hoping for the best.“

“The food here is amazing! But let me tell you about the staff, they are incredible! So this past weekend, I was eloping in San Clemente at the beach. I had been planning it for 6 weeks with another restaurant in town. When I went to finalize everything the DAY before my elopement the other restaurant ended up canceling on us. I called around and Cassano's did not even hesitate to take my party of 28 and let us have their entire patio! The day came, Saturday 9/30/23 and we were suppose to elope at the beach but it was raining, so I called Cassano's and they let us have our little ceremony on their patio! They helped us set it up, they helped organize everything with my step mom and aunts and honestly it was the cutest little wedding I could have ever imagined!The owner was hands on, so sweet and so accommodating! Shout out to Heidi our main go to person who streamlined everything! Shout out to Joe who took my endless calls and reassured me it would be amazing and he was right! Everyone enjoyed themselves!We will be coming back for every anniversary and can't wait to make a lifetime of memories at this restaurant!Thank you Cassano's for saving my wedding day, having amazing truly caring staff and the food is beyond one of the best italian food I have ever had!“
“Saw this on our way down to walk along the beach. Decided to stop in on the way back and were not disappointed. Hubby & I shared a ground beef & mushroom pizza and Peroni. Just off Del Mar, atmosphere was nice, service was friendly, the beer was ice cold, and the pizza was delicious. My husband said it was the best he's had in a few years. We'll be back again for sure.“
“I am a huge meatball sandwich snob. The vast majority of Italian places just miss the mark. This place sets the bar high. The bread is the perfect size and shape, the sauce is spot on, and the meatballs are the perfect size and texture. You can pick it up and eat it and while I make two meals out of most restaurant portions I have never been able to stop eating one of these.“
“Delicious high quality food, and a nice family atmosphere. We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. They have the best antipasto salad that we have ever had. I just wish that they would make their garlic rolls just a little more garlicky!“
“I don't eat cheese and I don't eat gluten however, they have a gluten-free Neapolitan pizza and I ordered it without cheese so I'm excited to bring it home and eat it Noah is adorable and very sweet to guide me through the process of ordering with my own accoutrements. “If 6 stars was available..I'd click it. The Baked Lobster tortellini was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten... And this was take out in a tin to go container 30mins after I ordered it.... Next time, I'm going in, sitting down and taking the time to enjoy it slowly on a hot plate...Could have the first 7 star review then. Well done Sonny, well done!“
