“Good selection of sandwich choices but the highlight of this deli is definitely their bread. The only small complaint I have is they pre slice their meat (which is not a problem) but this means they will put the sauce and veggies on the sandwich first and as a result, the meat has a tendency to slide out as you can see from my picture.“
“Enjoyed Foretti's... solid Italian with nightly specials. Consistent and very good. Have been there many times and will continue to go back. Pasta's are good and homemade... full bar which is nice. Picture is of the Braised Short Rib Pappardelle... which was delicious! The pizza's are from a real wood burning pizza oven. The service is good... very attentive! The one lacking thing for 4 stars is the wine list... we brought our own... but ordered a second bottle and they had a limited selection.“
“we have came here 5 times from Rancho Cucamonga, just to try the best food, everything we have ordered is exceptional. Best pizza, pasta, and wings we have tasted. The customer service is great which is part of why we don't mind traveling the 40 miles for a delicious meal not expensive either (for how good it is)“
“The food is amazing. Very authentic pizza and the homemade pastas are unique and flavorful. The only downside on the menu is dessert. There is a hazelnut chocolate torte that tastes waxy, the panna cotta is good but not great and they add a lot of unnecessary toppings like black sesame seeds, and finally the gelato was icy, not creamy. I won't stop coming here because of the dessert but just be forewarned. If it's your birthday just hope they have tiramisu which is often the dessert of the day and quite good. Also, I don't understand the need for club music. It takes away from the ambiance. We always opt to sit outside where we can hear one another and they are more than accommodating.“
“I have been coming to this place for as long as I can remember, and It's a 10 every single time! If you haven't been here yet, you need to come NOW. Our server, Stockton, was very nice and made sure we got our food fast. The atmosphere is not overwhelming and quite cozy. All of the staff are jolly and almost everyone in the restaurant joins together to sing happy birthday to random people haha. highly recommend this place!10/10P.s.Mama D's, I would appreciate it if you could print this out and put it on your review wall.Vegetarian options: I'm sure there's something on the menuDietary restrictions: Not sureParking: Some parking on the street. Some behind the building too. I also remember there being valet a few years ago but they may have gotten rid of itKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Our server was so nice to the little ones.Wheelchair accessibility: Somewhat accessible“
“Owner is passionate about making the freshest tastiest pizza on the planet. Plus his creativity on his pizza specialties are not only sumptuous but you won’t find them in any other pizza spot. Great food … great people … give ‘em a try !“
“Casual pizza joint that sells roman style pizza slices. They advertise that one slide = 2 American sizes which is pretty spot on. We tried three different flavors . The dough had a nice char on it and the toppings were decent. They are able to retire the pizzas up fairly quick , on the day we got them it took just a few quick minutes for us to get an order in and then be handed a box of hot pizza. They have a few seating options both indoor and outdoor mostly high tops. And inside a long display case with all of their pizza options.“
“I’ve been here 5+ times now and it is my my favorite Napoli-style pizza in HB. Hands down. It’s light, well balanced and sooo tasty.Unlike many other pizzas that are super loaded and greasy, this is the opposite.Quality ingredients you can ACTUALLY TASTE!Service has been outstanding every time I’ve gone. The one time my order ran late (a take out pizza) due to a weekend dinner rush and a wood fire over naturally taking longer, they gifted me a free second pie for having waited for merely 20 mins.Super delicious, quality and kind service. What more can you ask for? ?♂️And YES, it is cash only, but trust me when I say that if that’s the reason you’re not going, you’re a fool. $3 charge on the ATM they have inside will make no difference to your experience, and you will come away thanking me.Please keep up the great work!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp directly in the front“
“Mango Habanero Pizza - secret menu pizza, bacon, ham, jalapeno, pineapple, mango habanero sauce on top afterwards. Got the XL and it was big,18" (their giant is 28"). Crust was made on the thinner side in a good way. Sweet and spicy good Hawaiian pizza that reminds me of Wingstop's mango habanero wings.“
“I love it here. The food is always great, the atmosphere give off the true authentic Italian feeling. There is always a ton of food, in true Italian fashion so it is likely you are going to have leftovers. It is a bit pricey but with that said, you are usually getting more than one meals worth of food so it is worth it. I believe they also have a lunch special menu which is great, or at least they used to. Worth a look into.“
“Authentic Italian ristorante and I loved this place. Very cozy atmosphere and the server was super friendly. He said that this place has been running over 30 years by the same owner's family. Food quality matters? You gotta go there. Size matters? You can leave your worries out the door. Don't skip Tiramisu. They make it from scratch and it is a Must to try.“
“I had mango habanero boneless chicken wings and a topo-chico. I think they have a perfect casual sports bar setup to pop in to for a quick bite or drink. I was by myself and sometimes walking into a sports bar would be intimidating to go to solo but not here. I sat at the bar and chatted with Andres who served me. (I hope I got his name right.) Great guy, great service and definitely worth a visit. I'll be back.“
“Excellent meal and service! Ordered the Parlor salad, Bucatini all Amatriciana, and Guanciale pizza. Salad- great assortment of greens with fresh mozzarella and salami calabrese Bucatini- Pasta was cooked al dente with loads of Guanciale and pomodoro to make the dish extra special Pizza- Love the San Marzano tomatoes and the Fresno Chile/olive combination. Great crust with that char fired crust“
“Incredible ragu! Meatballs; soft, cooked perfect…Only not nice thing was the toilets… the place of it, I could see some dirty areas close to the kitchen… the cabinet was dripping water..They were too busy I can understand that.Still really good and I recommend!“
“its been a year and a half since I have been here yet their food still tastes excellent! The calamari is the best appetizer you can get in my opinion. I loved the marinara sauce that came with it. I ordered some type of truffle pasta and they did not skip out on the truffle!! Biggest amount of truffle I have seen a restaurant give. My dad ordered a shrimp type of pasta and that was also delectable. For a dessert, we ordered the chocolate tart and it was so good!! This restaurant is on the pricer side yet still amazing!!“
“We held our company Christmas dinner here and EVERYTHING was delicious! While this is one of or regular spots most of our employees has never been here, and they all were so happy to find a new spot eat at regularly now.We really wanted to support a small business and we’re very happy we did. Clay, our server gave us exceptional service !“
“It was our first time coming back here since it has expanded, everything looks great! When you come, id recommend leaving room to order the spumoni dessert. Thank you for the great service, amazing food and good times. We will definitely be back, we love supporting a local small business.“
“I've been going to Al's for 20+ years since I was a kid living in Huntington Beach. I make a point to stop by for pizza any time I am in town or passing by. Best Pizza I've had in California!Parking: There is a long parking lot and neighboring businesses with large parking lots.“
“Enjoyed Capones, but the food was not as good as it was the last time we were there about 3 weeks ago. I will give them another try.Parking: Huge parking lot very easy to park.Wheelchair accessibility: They do have wheelchair accessibility.“
“We first dined here in the mid 2000's, the place was a bit small then, when I tasted the sauce (meat sauce/spaghetti), I was shocked to see it literally tasted just like our family's sauce that my mom had taught me to make (we are Italian of course), the food was so good, and I got to meet the original owner and chef, he spoke very broken English, but we discovered we were from the same part of Italy thus, the sauce! After that, we ordered one of their humungous pizzas for a party and it was so awesome! We moved away in 2004, but then I began working in the area in 2018 and went in to find his sons had taken over, and they had expanded by renting the unit next door! I told his son I used to eat there 15 years ago, and he welcomed me back, the pizza was just as great as I remembered, I have since taken friends there and the food is always the very best as well as the service, if I could give this restaurant 25 stars I would.Parking: Located in a strip mall next to a grocery store, but there is always tons of parking.“
“One of the best staples of Costa Mesa in my opinion. I remember going here ever since a little girl, the quality & service has stayed the same. I went for lunch yesterday with my mother, and it was such a pleasant experience. Our waitress, although I did not get her name, had a great personality. I ordered the giant slice and salad and my mother got Lasagna. Delicious as always, and we had plenty to take home and have for lunch today. Long live Pizza d’oro!!Vegetarian options: I am vegetarian. There are all kinds of vegetarian options“
“Great dinner with friends on Saturday night. Very busy, but the manager was totally organized. The bar is small, but she kept in contact with customers waiting. Seated us right on time. Perfect lobster ravioli and fettuccine bolonaise. Attentive staff heard us talking about a missed birthday and surprised us w cheesecake w "happy birthday" scrolled in chocolate on the plates. Nicely done!Parking: Large open free self parking lot between Plaza drive and Sunflower.“
“The food here is always amazing! Best Napolitano style pizza we've found outside of Napoli! The pastas and the gnocchi are amazing too. Wow! We crave it once a month minimum. The staff are so sweet and welcoming and always make us feel so welcome too!“
“Where do I begin?? I have never experienced such authenticity, when it comes to Italian food. My server Valentina is always so efficient with her service and her smile and beauty??? Wow!!! Molto Bene!! Ciao for now Trenta. Will be back very “
“The food was delicious, friendly, good service, and even deserts and coffee was great. We will be back even if I usually don't come out this way bumped into it doing an errand. What a blessing. Do try won't regret it. Thank you Loved it!“
“After living in Italy for a couple years and traveling back frequently, I am extremely picky about Italian restaurants. This place completely surprised me. The food was amazing. You can tell the chef takes pride in the little details. I will make the trip back from Utah just to have the rosemary-lemon panna cotta again. Must try!!“
“I don't know why there isn't a long line out in front of this restaurant every night. It is a small restaurant in a location that is slightly off the restaurant beaten path. But it is Onotria, the same owner and chef as the previous iteration of Onotria that has been one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Orange County - and definitely on of the best Italian restaurants in the county for many years. The original Onotria took a hiatus for a few years but is back now in its new location with excellent food - perhaps now a little more innovative and modern. The service also excellent with a little more warmth and attentiveness thrown in, perhaps a consequence of the small venue. There were four of us, we all sampled each other's food and all agreed that it was outstanding as was the service. It's great to have Onotria back. It's definitely one of the "must try " Italian restaurants in The OC.“
“We really enjoyed our dinner at the macaroni Grill. We enjoyed our server, Bryce, he did a good job taking care of us. Our food was really delicious! Bryce told us some of the recipes had been updated recently. My wife and I both felt our dishes were extremely tasty. We are looking forward to returning for another enjoyable meal.“
“We decided to have empanadas to take home and have dinner onsite. For our takeout order we have 2 regular beef, 2 sweet beef and 2 Arab. And for dine in we order pizza and chicken Milanese with fries. Since everything is made to order we waited for our food to be made. When we finally got our order, both orders tasted freshI particularly liked the pizza, we had one which has some onions and cheese topping, this was really surprisingly good. The crust was tasty. Funny thing, side comment, I started tearing up, not sure why, the lovely owner said they were cutting a big amount of onions, which surprised me as I had the reaction as if I'm the one slicing onions. Well she was right, once I stepped out, everything cleared up for me. The owner was a lovely woman originally from Buenos Aires, she made me feel as if I'm visiting her home and she's welcoming and warm. For the empanadas, they were delicious and if you're reading this review, I recommend you go and visit La Farola and the delicious empanada awaits.“
“The service was great and the food was very good. My husband ordered the Penne pasta with sausage and enjoyed his meal. I ordered the linguine with shrimp and asparagus in a light cream sauce. It was not what I was expecting, and it was not light. It was tasty but too much for me. The lemon cake was light and so good! The only bummer is how jammed it is, I felt like I was having dinner with the family of four right next to us. And it was interesting that they brought their small dog in with them. We will go again and try other dishes!“
“Such a delicious lunch! When we arrived it was after 12pm and already busy with a lot of business lunches. We were a group of 8 family members on spring break and the kind hostesses moved some tables and chairs around to make it possible to seat us — right in the center of the dining room! I was a bit nervous because we had 4 young kids with us but everyone was so kind and we enjoyed everything! We ordered two red pizzas and two white, plus caprese salad and calamari! Everything was perfect. Thanks for being so welcoming to a big hungry family. We loved it!“
“I absolutely love this place!! It is delicious! I love that they offer a soup or salad along with your meal. It makes it all worth it. I always walk out full and satisfied. My favorite is the rigatoni al pollo. They also have great martinis.“
“One of kind pizza! At least for Costa Mesa. Deep dish Chicago style is one you must experience. Thick but almost croissant like crust piled high with toppings. Tomato sauce was tangy and delicious. Full of meet and cheese. The 14" was enough to feed 5 people. One slice pretty much filled most of us up.“
“Wow, we're so glad there's an Oliver's location in Irvine now! The food was incredibly delicious and flavorful, and the service was fantastic. You know how sometimes you get the feeling that the staff don't really want to be there? Everyone we interacted with seemed like they were happy to be there. Makes such a huge difference in someone's dining experience! Ambiance was upscale but not stuffy or stiff. Very fun and delicious place to enjoy a meal with friends or family, or even a business lunch. The complimentary house bread was so yummy, especially when paired with their savory olive tapenade. It's hard to resist filling up on bread. We started with a beet salad which was an amazing blend of flavors and textures, thanks to the thinly sliced beets, creamy cheese, and slightly candied walnuts. Fantastic salad that I would order again and again. For mains, we shared: Hokkaido Scallops from Oliver's Trattoria's Truffle Menu: shockingly delicious! The sweetness of the Hokkaido Scallops played perfectly with the truffle (not overpowered at all) and creamy sauce. The sauce was soooo tasty, we dipped pizza crust into it to make sure we didn't waste any of it, lol. A pricey dish but so well-executed and worth every penny. Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese: delicious savory meat sauce that covers nice al dente pasta. Sooo good and a must for Bolognese lovers. Chitarra Pomodoro: a signature for a reason and you can really taste the difference with fresh pasta. Margherita Pizza: sometimes the simple classics are the best, and this Margherita is no exception. Perfect pillowy crust texture on the edges, and a nice thin crust throughout most of the pizza. So delicious and we'll be ordering this whenever we crave pizza! For desserts, we shared 3, and each of us had a different favorite even though we agreed all of them were delicious, so you know they were all good in their own ways! Tiramisu: so creamy and decadent without being too sweet! Probably the best version of a classic Tiramisu I've had. Cheesecake: also not too sweet! Lovely flavors and crust. Tortino di Cioccolato: a chocolate lover's dream! And the gelato is a delicious complement as well. We can't wait to come back!“
“Small coffee shop within high rise business building. Lots of sitting outside and parking is 2 hour complimentary with validation. Tried instant tiramisu and ice americano. Liked both and instant tiramisu is more lukewarm desert than coffee. Like this “
“Off the charts amazing. This food was worth the wait. You know when you order and in this day and age you expect everything immediately. If it takes more than 10 mins, you throw a little fit. This is worth the wait. I would wait forever. This pasta is like ambrosia from the heavens. The bread and pesto precursor is perfect and addictive. However, there has never been such incredible pasta. I cherish my burps today because they remind me of the dinner last night. Chicken was hands down most flavorful and juicy we’ve ever had. We had to circle around the block because we missed the entrance which is easily overlooked by the dozens of little entrances adjacent. You can tell it’s a family atmosphere. You get old world vibes. We’re just sad they only do gnocchi once a month! We’ll be back 5/29!“
“We had no plans for an Italian lunch. Our mid-morning walk turned into delicious smells coming from Ciao Balboa. The food was sooooooo good. Right down to the buttery, garlic brine the shrimp were in. Our salads were beautiful. The bread was so good we paid extra to take a bunch home. The atmosphere was open and airy. Comfortable and cozy. Our server was super sweet. According at every turn.“
“This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves Argentinean cuisine. As a native of Argentina, I was blown away by the quality and authenticity of the dishes. The empanadas were crispy and flavorful, the panqueque con dulce de leche was heavenly, and the pizza with a Quilmes was the perfect combination. I felt like I was back in my home country, enjoying the best food ever. This is a place I will definitely return to and recommend to everyone. Don't miss it!“
“Great food and drink. Everything ordered for our party of six was delicious and found pricing to be good as well. Only complaint was the restaurant appeared to be slightly understaffed and we waited a while for next course. Also hoping the upstairs seating reopens as it would help the overall noise level.“
“Beautiful Italian menu with lots of variety. No beach view but still close to the shore. Service was really nice... polite, engaging, attentive. We had the meatball sandwich, three pizzas, the bread, chicken parmesan and the ravioli. Everyone enjoyed their meals, although there was agreement that the food was just slightly under seasoned. Great spot for a quick lunch. The favorite was the chicken parmesan.“
“First time dining at this restaurant with my family and it was even better than what I expected! The service was excellent, the food was amazing and the prices were reasonable. Above all, what drove us to eat here was what it stands for their American patriotism.Coming from a military family, they had flags of military branches. The portions and authenticity of the food ,fugeet about it...Will be back soon “
“Great food, great service, good atmosphereThe sandwiches are amazing - my husband loves the Italian sub - perfectly balanced meats & veggies, with just the right amount of juice - no soggy bread here!Bolognese spaghetti is great too - add meatballs or sausage and you're set!“
“My go-to place for the best Italian food in Orange county. It's worth the 30-minute drive it takes me to get there. I have been going there for 30 years and it's still the same hospitable restaurant with good food and good service.Parking: There is some parking on the side and around the back.“
“Love this place!!! I live nearby and they do Free delivery within a 2 mile radius! Pizza is super bomb! I also tried their antipasto salad soooooo delish!! Support a local business instead of going to Domino's or Pizzahut. You won't regret it!!!“
“Lucky to be staying just down the road from this place! I wouldn’t eat inside as it’s not the most atmospheric place but the pizza is FANTASTIC! I’ve had three take aways from there in the last month - only place to get pizza in this area! Go and get a cheese pizza - you won’t be disappointed!“
“GG’s Bistro is a rare find: excellent food in a tourist town. I went today and loved it! If you’re willing to walk just a block up from the tourist traps, GG’s offers a clean and spacious new outdoor patio, as well as a nicely decorated indoor dining room. Service is very pleasant. They offered me a taste of Turkish Raki, and gave me good advice over all.I recommend the Meze Platter. And I loved the blackened salmon sandwich, which I ordered today for lunch.Parking: There is ample parking in the paid public parking lot behind the establishment.“
“First time here and won't be my last. I only work a couple of miles from here and am sad I could havebeeneating here this whole time!Great tasting pizza. Good lunch specials need to bring the wife here!Interior is a bit loud during lunch, but they have outside tables and are clean.Service is at the counter, attended by quick and pleasant staff.“
“Great Pizza, great location if you don’t mind eating outside this place with your friend or taking it to go after a night out on the beach or bar hopping!!Price is alright , but what I do like about this place is the consistency, been coming here for about 5 years now and I always get what I expect! Nothing more, nothing less.“
“Tony helped me and was awesome, the pizza ? was absolutely ? delicious ?, I hadn't been there in a long time I've always liked it there but I forget how good it is and now I just want more to be honest it was wonderful they even gave me a little bag of garlic bread knots the place was clean and well kept everybody in there was working hard everything was well stocked it smelled a wonderful and I couldn't have asked for anything more I've worked at two different Pizza places in years past and I have appreciation and respect, they were on top of it and I look forward to going back thanks guys!!Parking: Nooo problemKid-friendliness: Absolutely ?“
“Been coming to Mama D's for years. Both this and in Newport - both have the absolute BEST service. Voted most friendly staff for a reason. It really makes the experience. The food is unbelievably good. Fresh, comfort food. If you have not been, put this at the top of your list “
