“We've been here a couple of times lately and enjoyed it both times. We also love the little shop where you can find so many goodies from England. On Easter Sunday I tried the Sunday dinner which was pretty delish. My husband has the fish and chips and said the fish was great but the chips were soggy. If they would have been crispy it would have been a 10 out of 10. I love the atmosphere which does make you feel like you're in England. We will definitely be back.“
“I had the Mahi Mahu sandwich with a side of calamari. Hands down most delicious I've had in a really long time. I gad the sandwich without sauce, but the garlic butter sauce on the side and the sandwich was phenomenal without the sauce, but even better with it! 10 out of 10 recommend and will go back anytime I'm in Point Loma!“
“What an amazing food experience. They try to order so don’t come here if you are in a hurry. Call ahead if you need to. Food is so tasty. Portions are out of this world. Staff is SO kind. Owner is an absolute gem. They do not make owners like him anymore. Always bring out of town guests here for dinner or order to go. Nothing brings me more joy than walking in the house with that happy brown box full of tasty goodness.“
“Fish and chips here is just outstanding!! Wow!!! Ordered it late night through ubereats and wow oh wow!! Fish was still crispy and hot. Big square pcs. Portion was good amount and friez were perfectly seasoned. Their pineapple milkshake is out of this world. Food delivered was so good. I can't imagine how fresh and tasty it would in person. Can't wait to go in try it out.“
““a dozen oysters, your 3 best tacos, and small side of fries pls”they gave me these ones (see pic) but the specialty tacos are like $8 now which is pretty equivalent to what you expect to get for $24 these days anywhere considering the high fish qualitylocal pitchers on deck“
“I was on a plant based diet this day and was excited that I saw a menu photo on Yelp offering plant based options. Unfortunately when I showed up, the guy said they got rid of that and no longer have that menu.Since I was already here, I opted for side order of avocado corn salsa and Brussels sprouts. My fiancé got clam chowder. Other plant based side options would have been roasted corn, asparagus, green beans, or fries.Bummer I couldn’t try an entree but the sides were filling and satisfying. The Brussels sprouts were actually better than what I’ve had at fancy restaurants. It had the char and perfect glazed and seasoning. The avocado corn salsa was fresh and flavorful. I like the thin crispy chips. Will need to come back another time when I’m on a regular diet.Vegetarian options: Only the side items“
“Love their self order kioskWas able to order right away. Very little wait.Order was ready in about 15 minutesGreat shrimp ?One was too burned but that’s okNice staff. Clean place! The gentleman made sure every body was served quickly. He was on top of his game“

“We took some of our friends from Germany here. It was very nice. The food was very good. This isn't knock, just the reality, it is a small place, and the bartender is the server. You have to go to the bar to order. We liked it, just realize it isn't a full service restaurant.Very close to the beach, and sitting outside was perfect!“
“YUM!! My friend and I drove 6 hours and this was the first place we stopped for food. Really cute outside area and we split a delicious medium buffalo chicken pizza and had just enough food. Service was excellent, couldn't have asked for a better first stop in San Diego!“
“I love this place for lunch time. I am limited on what I can say about the food here. Because I always order the Shrimp and Avocado Salad. I love it. The shrimp has really good seasoning to it. The avocados can be a hit and miss on how they look. But still, they taste good. The Kale is fresh and has a nice crunch to it. I recommend the olive oil on it. It is healthier, and pairs well. I will come back again and review other dishes. Here is the Con portion. The restaurant uses self ordering computers. So you do not pay a person. Unless the line gets long. Often, there is a person to assist you, if there any questions. I can see how this could intimidate people that are not computer literate. Also, there are no servers. So don't expect to get checked on. It's more of a cafeteria style. The restaurant is always clean and you are welcomed when you come in. There is also an outdoor seating option.“
“I was pleased surprised of how good & fresh the food was. I didn't go in with high expectations from my previous visit but since they have changed some stuff around. You order yourself now at a kiosk & that made me see all my options for my plate, the calm chowder was delicious & hot as a soup should be. The fish & chips were freshly made, and staff was very attentive to our needs. I would definitely return.“
“Came here for brunch on the weekend. Made reservations ahead, but place was not very full when we arrived. There are lawn games in the front but opted to eat inside. Started with the honey lavender scones and scotch egg. Scones were a bit smaller than normal but were tasty with the clotted cream and jam provided. Scotch egg was flavorful and came with a whipped butter. Fish and chips came with a sizeable piece of battered fish which went well with the condiments. I had a beet salad that was colorful and delicious. Plenty of different beets and enjoyed the textures of the pomegranate seeds and hazelnuts. Service was prompt and our waiter was nice and helpful.Parking: Plenty of free parking available“
“I stopped for the lobster roll. I should have chosen another place. Service was with a smile and welcoming. The lobster roll was frustrating. It was stuffed full with salad on the bottom, way too much aioli on top which left no way to eat it without a fork- which wasn’t offered. The sprinkling of lobster on the top kept falling off. It wasn’t flavored bad but definitely not a traditional lobster roll. The fries were nicely crispy. The ambiance is pure tourist chaos.I would try someplace else“
“I love this place. I have dreams about their fried snapper. The staff is always friendly. I normally get the same cashier each time, and he's consistently buzzed, so how could he be in anything other than a good mood? I love that they sell the old bay hot sauce. Being from Maryland, Old Bay is used almost as much as pepper in my house. The hot sauce hits, but it's been tough finding it, or Old Bay, in California. So I appreciate being able to buy it here to compliment such well fried fish. The fish is so good I often forget to put hot sauce on it. I enjoy their sides as well. The seasoned fries... phenomenal. They invade my dreams at times too. They also have a being your own fish to fry option, and their is raw fish available for sale. I've never partakin, but the pricing seems competitive. All in all if you like fish you should stop by.“
“The best wings in San Diego hands down and by a long shot. You wouldn’t even know this place existed it’s so tucked away but man it sure is worth the hunt and the price. The wings are quality, huge, always juicy and flavorful. The fish is nicely battered and fried. Try the sides they are all delicious. Well done Captain Sam’s keep it up!“
