“Stopped by for lunch on a weekday and was seated right away. The waitress was so sweet and even though she was alone, always had a smile and gave amazing service. Got the classic noodle (spicy), which also comes with rice at the end to mix the rest of the sauce. The noodles are so bouncy, chewy, and soaked up the amazing flavor of the sauce. “Went there for breakfast on Saturday early (8:30) to beat the rush. Only waited 20 minutes. Had belly to belly, creme brulee french toast. avocado toast, and two orders of the berry cloud pancakes. For drinks we had classic coffee, Pandan latte, Spanish latte, and Cookie? latte. Both drinks and food were great. Only complaint is that we order the 2nd pancake a few minutes late and it didn't arrive till most of us were finished. Be warned .. get your orders in for the cloud pancakes early. It will take 20-30 minutes to arrive.“

I ordered 34 garlic sesame chicken plates and (some sides for me potstickers with ponzu - awesome, shrimp plate - awesome) - and requested all 34 plates to be prepared by a certain time. Not only was it ready, packed, but William and his wife helped me bring the boxes to my van. All 34 plates were eaten and University of Redlands Mens Water Polo players and coaches. They were super thankful. If I am in La Verne, I would come back to Bowl House. It is in kind of an old town La Verne area where you can park and walk around and visit the local shops. “I found this restaurant on Yelp! What a great find! The inside is spacious. They have small curtain like partitions for privacy between tables. So far, I've been here twice. Both visits have gone well. This hot pot restaurant is shabu shabu style. You are given a slip and check off all the ingredients that you would like to put in your broth. The beef is cut fresh when you order it. I've tried the sichuan broth and the tom yum broth. They've been flavorful. I love adding tofu and potato vermicelli along with veggies and beef. Customer service is great. The waitress is attentive and friendly. She checks on you often and makes sure your cup is always full of water or your preferred drink. I also like how they are open late as this cold weather makes me crave hot pot. I'm looking forward to trying a new combination.“

“I had the Peking Duck Combo Meal twice, both times takeout and they were very good and tasty.The location was previously a Korean fast food and that’s why you see reviews of Korean food mixed in here. Google should really fix this problem.Back to the Duck Palace. The duck was well seasoned and delicious. The meat was carved out with both skin and meat so it is not just skin only. This is just another style of eating Peking Duck, not more or less “authentic “ as I had both styles in China, in Beijing no less. The combo meal comes with a Duck soup, first time it was real good, the second time I think the cook tipped the whole bottle of pepper in it ?. The carcass of the duck, mainly the neck and leg bones, were deep fried and they are surprisingly tasty, excellent when washed down with a cold beer.“

The Charbroiled Meat Spring Rolls with beef and fish sauce was exactly what I wanted and so yummy. They didn't skimp on the fish sauce, either which I appreciated. I'm for sure coming back for these. The Charbroiled Meat & Egg Rolls Vermicelli with beef was also very good too. I really liked how they cooked and seasoned the beef. It came with egg rolls which was good but I loved the spring rolls way better. The staff was nice and attentive, constantly checking in to see if everything was okay. Service was fast too. “Parking can be challenging around dinner time but lunch time is fine. Restaurant is nice and spacious and has a lot of interesting cultural decor. Server was attentive and helpful especially when she saw us having trouble with the tea pot. Loved every dish we ordered and will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Dolan special tea was nice and floral with a hint of honey. Definitely a must with every order. Even better that it came with endless refills of hot water to keep brewing the tea. Even after 5 refills of the hot water the tea did not taste like it got diluted at all. Shredded potato dish was nice and had a decent amount of spice to it. Samsa was super flaky and filled with a well seasoned ground beef. Paired well with the pickled cabbage. This is what I wish the Porto's meat pie tasted like. If they sold this frozen I would buy a dozen just so I can make it at home. Fried naan and beef was good. Honestly was more naan than beef. In our order it was around 5 percent beef and 94 percent fried naan and 1 percent veggies. Dish was good but wish there was more beef. Big plate chicken was a very generous portion but we did feel that it was a bit on the salty side. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the hand pulled noodles was delicious. “Chuan Pot is a AYCE shabu place that's relatively worth the price! The ambiance was pretty interesting, we came in a Saturday night and it wasn't too crowded around 6pm! The tables are all made of a type of wood I commonly remember seeing in my uncles' and auntie's houses growing up haha so it gave kind of a nostalgic feel. I found the music and vibe to be quite unique for a shabu place! They played jazz and had a screen with a Hawaiian backdrop; it made the dinner experience feel strangely calming, not the usual upbeat experience people may find at other places. As far as food and service, it was really great! Both of our female servers were super sweet, attentive, and friendly. They checked on us often and made sure we always had meat on our table! They only serve 4 types of meat and have 6 soup bases to choose from but allowed us to order two plates of each (not sure if this was because we were a group of 4 or because it wasn't too packed). The meats were good quality and were tasty in our two soup bases. They give you paper plates and bowls to eat from which worked for us! They also have a sauce table with ~8 toppings, a water bar, and a veggie/noodle/rice/other misc shabu foods bar. I was happy with the variety of items they had! Lastly, we were given a scoop of strawberry or cookies and cream ice cream (flavors vary) and it was a delicious way to end our meal. We'd come back :) thanks for a great experience!“

“If you are into spicy Chinese food, then you will love this place. This eatery serves Chengdu style food (a sub-part of Szechuan cuisine). It had the same 麻辣 taste for all of their dishes （literal translation: numb & hot pepper spicy) as in a typical Szechuan dish. Numbing effects came from black & white peppercorns, which you can taste quite distinctively. Thhis style of food is known as Maocai 冒菜(translates from local dialect: heat the food); , which derived from the hot spicy soup with all kinds of herbs pour over the ingredients creating steam (as in 冒烟as in “smoking”）just before serving to the patrons. You can choose from the menu or pick your own from the buffet bar and you will pay based on the weight of your selections. Once weighted, the kitchen will cook your concoction for you based on your selection of the sauce. All sauces were spicy and numbing. You can also choose lite spiciness, mid spiciness or extreme spiciness. This is the first time I’d tried this and I actually enjoyed the numbing and hot peppers flavor very much. I pride myself on eating spicy food, but I opted for lite spiciness here and it was plenty spicy for me. The prices were reasonable and the quantity was fulfilling for the items on the menu. You can also choose from glass noodle, rice noodle or instant noodle for your carb. I had the rice noodle and it was very well made. My wife selected the least spiciest sauce, the beef bone soup, with beef and it was just a bit spicy, but plenty of numbness.“

“This is my favorite place to eat in Rowland area. The food is always on point. I believe it's one of the best Cantonese cafes in all of SGV. My favorite item to order here is the mushroom truffle pizza. Their pizzas are so good. The dough is crispy on the outside but nice and chewy on the inside. They use enough cheese and are generous with the mushrooms. I also love their fillet mignon and shrimp as well as their chicken steak meals. All the food is really fresh and quick.
