“This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. Tucked inside a hotel you wouldn't know about this place but I am glad my friend found it. We now made it a yearly thing to come back here and have dinner here now“

“Excellent authentic Japanese izakaya restaurant. The biggest saba (grilled mackerel) I've ever seen! Huuuuge. I had the katsu - excellent. My daughter had the BBQ beef skirt teriyaki and I tried a piece and it was delicious. Service was awesome too. The couple who I believe own/run the place were super nice and gracious. A big TV with NBA basketball on - what more could you ask for?“

“One of the better hotpot places locally and possibly a new favorite. Ingredients are fresh and the sauce bar has a plethora of snack choices. Although not all you can eat, the prices are very fair and surprisingly low for such quality.Service was pretty fast. The atmosphere is historic in a very cozy way.“

“New local restaurant just opened 6 months. Give it a try. We ordered a Roti Canai with curry beef brisket. Indian curry base and paprika is added to enhance flavor. Roti Canai fresh made that is tasty but a bit oily. Taste of Hometown fried rice noodles is light which I like. They're not big portions. We added a Kaya Toast with butter. When this order arrived, the waiter recommended Taro French Toast that they smashed the taro and mix with condensed milk then spread on toasted bread. I will try next time. The price of breakfast menu is reasonable.? Support small local restaurant.“

“They've expanded out. Changed owners I heard at one point, but pretty good still!I do like that they put their to-go utensils in a plastic envelope. Feels more high-class, and easier to take out and use, without having to unbind rubber bands.Wish they were on GrubHub, but they're on other apps.“

“The uncle is super nice and the boss lady is very nice.Freshly baked salted crispy chicken, crispy and slightly spicy yydsThe winter melon tea is the least sweet that any of us have ever tasted. It is very refreshing and sweet. The braised eggs are also delicious. The most important thing is that it is fresh and not salty ?Although the store is not big, it is very cozy and sells fashion music ?“

Hot Pot

“There are a lot of soup options for hotpot. My favorite sauce combo would have to be the ponzu and Thai spicy. The vegetables and meats were portioned very well. My friends and I all went for the t-rex option, which meant a bigger portion of the meat. It was a rainy day that night, which was probably why the place wasn't too crowded. For parking, its pretty difficult to park ground level, so you would most likely have to park in the underground parking lot. If you're in the heart of San Gabriel Valley, definitely give this place a try.“

I feel like it’s almost necessary to get extra sauce which is an additional charge added to the chicken but well worth it.Their draft beer is a good price with some great options. I look forward to ordering this again, it was delicious“

“I think this place deserves some more love. I been coming here for the last 13 years. People come here for the environment, quiet and clean, 5 stars. The food is average, nothing stands out and the selection is limited, 3 stars. The price has gone up quite a bit, 50% since pandemic, 3 stars. I would still recommend if you are looking for a quiet place to eat and mingle with family or friends, where you can all hear each other.“
