“How could I forget about this beautiful restaurant for months since my first visit with girl friends last September? I am so glad I suddenly remember this restaurant last Saturday, the first day of the Chinese new year! The interior decoration is perfect for Chinese new year! This is My family's first time visit! They all love it! Perfect for pictures! It is a shame for not many people knowing this place, because they are only two tables occupied during our 1.5 hour visit. The only waitress is Miss Iris from Taipei. She is super nice and friendly! Fortunately, when we left, there were two parties coming in! We love the food maybe because the owner and the chef are from my hometown Taiwan, according to the waitress! The presentation is so beautiful! Perfect for my Facebook postings! I already told my college girlfriends about our next reunion location! Here! Perfect for our group pictures!“
“Probably the best place I've tried sushi. Large portions and excellent prices. As a fairly big guy, I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't finish two regular plates. The service is top-notch. My best wishes to this establishment“
“JS Foothill Restaurant is a hidden gem for dim sum enthusiasts and lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. First and foremost, let's talk about the fried rice - it's exceptional! Each grain is perfectly cooked and infused with flavors that dance on your palate with every bite. Whether you opt for the classic vegetable fried rice or indulge in the decadent seafood version, you're in for a treat. Now, onto the dim sum. From the delicate shrimp dumplings to the savory shumai, each dim sum dish flavors burst in your mouth. But wait, there's more! The garlic broccoli is a must-try side dish. Crisp, vibrant broccoli florets are tossed in a delectable garlic sauce has perfect balance of flavors. Overall, JS Foothill Restaurant exceeds expectations in every aspect. Whether you're a dim sum connoisseur or simply craving delicious Chinese cuisine, JS Foothill Restaurant is the place to be.“
“Excellent food, great staff and vibe. A busy place for good reason. We were in a motel close by for a few days during some home improvements. Liked it so much we did take-out twice. The string beans were the best I've ever had. Even my husband's often dull cashew chicken was noteworthy. All cooked fresh and fast. 100% recommended. We'll collect ourselves or have delivery now we're back in our space not that far up the road. Maybe tonight!“
“Where do I start, the service was unlike anything else I've ever experienced, Jayce went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food, just wow! From the shooters, to the octopus, to the steak, and my goodness the Oreo soufflé! You must come and experience this place!!!“
“The atmosphere is really good! How they great you at the door is awesome. They have really quick sushi rolls and the presentation is beautiful. I only rated the food a four because they recycle a lot of rolls what I mean by this is the menu is basically all the same with one change to a roll here and there. I think more flavor options and diversifying the menu would serve wonders. It wouldn’t keep me from this place, the classics are always good“
“The food was exceptional! What really topped off our experience was the ambiance and the presentation in which the food was served. The good energy started as we were greeted at the door and continued through the whole visit. My wife and I got the Siam beach-club egg rolls as a starter and were served our entrees shortly after. One of the biggest things I notice when going out that makes or breaks my experience is the attentiveness of our server. 5/5 stars in that department! My wife dropped a knife, and she was over with a replacement as it hit the ground.I had the Malay Captains curry chicken (pictured below)My wife had the banana leaf chicken.Again, the presentation was outstanding, I definitely let out a few "whoa's" as the food was delivered. The owner was present as well and came by twice to ensure our satisfaction with our food and experience. We are coming back soon!Dietary restrictions: I was asked as we were seated if we had any dietary restrictionsParking: Underground garage and plenty of nearby street parking“
“I've been to this place several times, and I love their Thai curry! If this place gets crowded, it does get a bit hectic, but that's just how good they are. Price range for each person could average between $15-20 since most of their items are around that price.Parking is near the back on the main street in a garage, but I would be careful if you try to leave your car to discover the area since they do close it. If you're not able to find parking in the garage, which has happened to me several times, parking on the street can be a bit difficult if you want to park close to the restaurant. Most times, I just park on the residential area so I can walk to my car after getting full.“
“An intimate Thai eatery with nice date ambiance and elevated prices to match. Staff was friendly but not very attentive. Parking can be a bit hard to find on the street so your best bet is at the lots/garages nearby when it gets busy. Pretty small restaurant, could see there being a wait on the weekends. We came later on a Thursday night. Tried the Pearl summer roll, Thai fried rice, and green curry. The summer (spring?) rolls were incredibly overpriced, just a bunch of cheap salad ingredients wrapped in rice paper with (way too sweet) peanut sauce and mustard (???) on the side. Definitely skip! Thai fried rice was good but too sweet for my taste, I much prefer Nine & Nine's version (close by & cheaper). The green curry, though, was one of the best I've had in LA so far. I highly recommend. Really creamy and well flavored, with tender bamboo shoots, chicken, and veggies. And a nice spicy kick to finish! Would come back to try more of the curries.“
“I'd like to give a 5. However, like a couple reviewshave stated, this location really skimps on the amount of protein they give you, and the salmon was very overcooked. That said, I'm giving a 4 anyway because the customer service was excellent and staff is very friendly. Also, this location was very clean. But bruh, can a get more than 2 ounces of salmon next time, and not cooked like carne asada?“
“Needed to grab a quick dinner before getting on the road. This was a perfect spot! First time with this kiosk ordering/pick up but great for my situation. Chicken cabbage bowl was so delicious and gave me enough energy to get home from my 2 hr drive. Not a sit down spot so just expect to grab and go! But I am craving another bowl already!!“
“I went with my family for dinner. Our server, Marcelo, was very attentive about our needs and wants. The food was very tasty, but it took a while for all of the food to come out. My grandpa’s beef teriyaki was also all gristle, very tough and chewy. However, they brought out a new one free of charge for us that was much better. Overall it seems like they’re still getting their footing, but still just as solid as the previous location.“
“Indulged in Korean-Japanese cuisine, from Mentaiko Pasta to the crispy Bossam Chicharon board. The Spicy Pork Bao and Salmon Crudo were a perfect balance of savory and fresh. And to complement the fusion of flavors, sipped on refreshing Mount Yoshino, Peach Lemon Drop, and Mix N Matcha cocktails. Everything was flavorful and cocktails were all unique with pretty presentation!“
“I ordered the chef special Hat Yai with steam rice, Thai wings and Tom ka veggie soup(s) all the food was amazing! Thr chicken was plump and succulent and juicy. The wings were so sweet and spicy. Very flavorful the Cole slaw cabbage was refreshing with the wings. The soup was sooooo good. So many veggies and it was filling enough to share for a small portion. This place is a Must if your on Colorado and crave some fresh Thai food.“
“I’ve been going to Gyu-Kaku for 9 years now and boy have the prices progressively gone up. Happy Hour is maybe 1$ cheaper than regular prices and not much of a happy hour. It’s disappointing to see as I used to go to gyu kaku every weekend, my favorite being the Topanga mall location. Now it’s maybe once every other month, my friends feel the same, They’ve been growing and raising their prices even before how bad inflation is now.Anyways I will still always love gyu kaku, this particular experience was okay. We ordered 2 yaki shabu’s, 1 filet mignon, sukiyaki bimbimbap, and the chicken karage. The yaki shabu portions looked smaller than usual especially for the price and the chicken karage was exceptionally dry and over done.We still felt a bit hungry afterwards but we felt it wasn’t worth the price and didn’t order more. Gyu kaku is definitely somewhere you need to go atleast once for anyone whose never been, the food and meat always tastes so good! But the prices just aren’t worth what you’re getting anymore sadly.Vegetarian options: They have plenty of rice bowls, cooked vegetable options you can grill or order as small plates, replacements, highly recommend for vegetarians!“
“If your a fan of food that is not fatty and fried and not overly expensive, this place is still a good option. As with all food, prices have gone up and size down, but they do a good job keeping things fresh and as flavorful, with the sauces, as you prefer. They no longer allow you to get your own sauses but just ask if you want more.“
“My father introduced Go China to my family. We've been coming here for over 12 years. But this time it's been about 4 years since we've been here. We live about an hour away. The food is still wonderful. My husband had the Kung Pao beef, chicken & shrimp, I had my favorite dish of Gailan (Chinese Broccoli). We also ordered Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. The lunch menu style has changed but I was able to order a dish not shown on the lunch menu. The presentation of the lunch dishes has changed to classy instead of the old style lunch tray style of yesteryear. The food was delicious & the flavors just blended together perfectly. I was really impressed with the simple but classy changes. The owner and her family still offer excellent service to the patrons they serve. Next time we won't wait too long to come back. Thank you!“
“I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time now and glad I finally did. As a local Pasadena restaurant I've seen many businesses at this location change many times. So far this restaurant has been doing well since covid. Food: double cheeseburger bao: it came with fries. The bread was super soft and fluffy. The burger was surprisingly juicy and delicious. The fries were on the skinnier side. I would prefer either thicker fried or tater tots. Sui Mai and hargow(shrimp dumplings)Sui Mar and hargow was fresh and delicious. It wasn't salty it's definitely the same if not better than going to downtown Chinatown. This was a lot closer and good to know that I can get dim sum until 9pmIce tea:Was fresh and cold. Not too sweet and not water down.Restaurant:We went here around 730pm and literally there was one person here eating which I prefer peace and quiet. I actually took my family and baby here. They're normally busy and most of their orders are from grub hub or other online food services.Parking: I came here after 6p there plenty of parking which is an outside parking lot shared by Teddy's tacos and subway. During the daytime it's a limited parking time of 40mins. The majority of people that eat here during the daytime are PCC students.Overall experience:I highly recommend giving them a try. If you like dim sum and burgers this is the place to go to“
“No Comment in Pasadena is an exhilarating fusion of a top-notch restaurant, a New York Broadway show, and an Ibiza-style club. The excitement and fun I experienced tonight were on par with a night in Las Vegas. The food is absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere feels like a euphoric blend of all the best entertainment experiences I've had. From the talented dancers to the fantastic DJ and music, No Comment truly lives up to its name - there's nothing to say except that it's everything in one. Can't wait to introduce this sensational place to my close friends!“
“I've honestly never had a bad experience here and am a hugeeeee sushi lover! Their rolls are delicious and there is a wide variety of them. Love the special truffle sushi roll! Service has always been friendly and fast. Good to come here if you want a casual, quick sushi experience + all the yummy appetizers.“
“Been here many times and can say that food is pretty consistent. I've sat in the bar, the lounge, outside, inside, but I recommend sitting at the sushi bar. The service is direct and instant, not so much for the rest of the place. The staff has its ups and downs, I mean people are people, so ymmv there. Weekdays and early evenings provide the best ambiance. I try to stay away from opinions on the food since taste is subjective and I'm not Elmer Dills or Jonathan Gold. If you have no idea who either one of them are you have probably TicToc'd or Shorted most of your dining experiences. I do believe the cleanliness has slipped and there is not the attention to detail there once was. It's not filthy or anything but they used to keep it spotless and the staff and management were always on top of things. Overall Sushi Roku is a good option for the area. Good sushi is expensive and I'm willing to pay for it however I may consider other options for a nice night out. I've moved out of the area and driven back for this place but I'll consider other spots next time.“
“First time and IMPRESSED! I am not vegan, but I looooveee fries, orange chicken, everything pretty much that is sold here and wanted to try! Service -Staff was really friendly and kind. We actually got to sit in at the one table they had so felt a bit intimate at first, but relaxed our ways in. Staff was friendly, prompt, great! Ambiance- -It has a comfortable, family vibe to it. I love it : ) Food- -Side of fries is seasoned with something I can't quite put my finger on BUT it does remind me of seasoning in other asian type chips! It was quite addicting to me but not the usual spice/savory that I'm used to -Orange chicken bowl: I thought it was delicious! Was it EXACTLY like real chicken? No, but it still had texture to it even while being cauliflower and so I loved that I got to eat something so tasty and textured but also getting some veggies along with it (heh heh). I don't know if I'd come all the time or as a fave spot just yet, BUT down to come again soon and try other things! :)“
