“The 20 oz. Rib eye and Filet Mignon steaks, Potato Romanoff and racing atmosphere made our evening superb. The only thing better was our server "Bobby"who is on top of his game. We look forward to seeing him and another great dinner at The Derby in October. Thank you for making our evening so special.Richie and Marcia Mc DonaldParking: Easy Valet Parking, very professional staff - a delight to do business with“
“Came to celebrate my birthday and the staff was very accommodating when I asked to move up our reservation. My special request to have Cora as our server was honored and she took care of us in her amazing way! We'll definitely be back again.“
“Where do I start, the service was unlike anything else I've ever experienced, Jayce went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food, just wow! From the shooters, to the octopus, to the steak, and my goodness the Oreo soufflé! You must come and experience this place!!!“
“Randomly dropped by this place and made it in time for happy hour. Cool and stylish place when it comes to the interior.I'm picky when it comes to my meat and the Entraña has always been a favourite of mine. Best Entraña I've had north of the US boarder. Also really good fries that were well seasoned and the chimichurri was good also. This meal was just what I wanted!“
“Jumbo shrimp was spectacular , as was the steak tar tar ! I was thrilled to get a table without a reservation ! This place is super high class with a extensive wine cellar . White table cloths and the high back chairs for lots of privacy ! to come here and eat alone and be treated well meant the world to me . everyone was wonderful with that black tie affair feel .cant wait to come back !“
“The service was great. I was shocked that actually Lamb chops were not on the menu. I did not like that it was so dark. I could barely read the menu. I also didn't like that everything was a la carte. They did have chops, on menu of the night. They were pretty good. Def worth the $55. And the sides were good. I had mac, Brussels & mash. All good. We also had a chocolate soufle. It was soo silky & smooth. Definitely worth saving space. I did like the flowers outside & I also recommend a reservation b/c they seem to be pretty popular. Dinner for 3 was $350.“
“Excellent restaurant for steaks and a night out. Been there for the dance classes and the happy hour buffet. Prime rib is more like roast beef, but still tasty. Don't forget to order coffee and dessert. Go for dinner early to avoid weekend crowds.“
“I didn't know they still existed. I grew up with such fun memories going to it with my mother in Pasadena and I found that this one is still exists. It's so vintage you bring it back to the days when I used to go when I was in my twenties. And the food was just as great. Going to keep going back!“
“I have been going here for years now to celebrate with family birthdays and celebrate on special occasions. This place is amazing, yes the price is up there but with that you get a good quantity of food, great service and also it's a STEAK HOUSE. I will mention one con I've noticed, this is for almost every year that we come I usually get a steak and scallops. Now the scallops are amazing and I recommend and last this year in February I got a new York step style steak and I have to be honest I always get medium rare so it doesn't not lose flavor of course, but it was a bit different maybe needed to be cooked better or better seasonings if you will, I do no know but not the same as I remember, this would be my only con other than this, I'm always willing to recommend to go try and be amazed !Parking: An open lot and it's always enough for a large group.Wheelchair accessibility: On flat ground no stars and doors are wide and big.“
“Taylor's Steakhouse is a good place to enjoy traditional steakhouse fare in an atmosphere that will take you back to midcentury American comfort and service. The meats are well-cooked, and sides are mildly seasoned (garlic is the spiciest thing you'll encounter in most dishes) and do well for sensitive palettes. Sauces for all dishes are typically served on the side in gravy boats, which is excellent for folks who want to dress their own meats. For some dishes, like the chicken piccata, heavier elements like capers may have settled to the bottom of the gravy boat -- so give it a stir before dressing. Main dishes are served a-la-carte, with sides like their very creamy mashed potatoes (some skins whipped in the mix, still very creamy) and garlic spinach that are reasonably priced additions with large portions. You came here for the steak, ribs, and seafood -- take your vegetarian and vegan friends elsewhere: the only things here for them are sides and a couple of salads not quite hearty enough for a full entree (no veg protein options). The staff are friendly and helpful, especially front-of-house. Inside, the bar area and main inside dining areas are dimly lit enough that your eyes will need a moment to adjust on a bright day, but day or night, this gives a cozy and intimate feeling in the spacious interior with many booth-style tables. (If you are seated in the main dining, you might need a phone flashlight to read the menu.) A wine room with seating and private group room allow for booking of private parties. There is also a large indoor patio with a fireplace and large windows for brighter daytime lighting. There are a few tables on a fully outdoor back patio, a terrific place for lunch (which, at the time of this review, is served only on Thursdays and Fridays). On the outdoor patio, the staff allow dogs (during lunch seatings and sometimes dinner, if it's not overly busy); if you're bringing a dog, it's easier to enter through this back patio from the parking lot side of the restaurant. There is a parking lot in back that can get full at busy times, so if you're coming on a weekend evening, you might want to grab a street parking spot on your way in. There are small signs at the entrances that read "dress code," but don't list the dress code. Their website reads: "We consider tank tops, flip flops, team athletic attire, and provocative clothing too casual for Taylor's dining experience." Expect to see many people in jackets and ties and otherwise dressed for "fine dining," though for lunch seatings, more casual like hoodies and athleisure wear are common. Some reviews on TripAdvisor also note folks coming in for dinner service in jeans and t-shirts.“
“I'm still disappointed that the Rack of Lamb is no longer available. That is a big reason I don't go there nearly as often as I used to.The service was a mixed bag. We were seated in a booth in the bar area, and throughout the time we were there, multiple employees came by asking us questions that others had already asked us. I understand they were trying to be attentive, but it was so repetitive that it became annoying. Also, when I ordered, I asked that my baked potato be on a separate plate. It did not come on a separate plate, and I had to ask for one. I also asked for two butters and two sour creams, and they only brought one of each. I know our server wrote down all of what I had asked for, but the other employees who actually brought the items didn't follow those directions. The food itself was excellent, though.“
“Consistently good steak. However my loyalty is overall with the bake potato with cheese butter, cheesy toast, and the 2 salads...sooo fatty goooodddd. Tried lobster and very impressed that it was moist and had stuffing at the bottom! Also good blue lemon martini. Hardly needed any butter at all. Gets packed so make a reservation or go early!! Love the ambience of cozy wood cabin, feels so welcoming every time“
