“I was working nearby and Googled a taco truck and drive straight here expecting something decent but when I bit into the torta I ordered I was surprised at how delicious it was! It’s been a long time I go somewhere and am this surprised. The woman was very nice and when I asked her what she recommend more the burrito or torta she said they were both good but she liked the torta more and I’m so glad she told me. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly (juicy steak, fresh shrimp, deliciously charred chorizo, spicy crispy tripe, tender birria, and well-marinated al pastor). The three homemade salsas were spicy, acidic, and sweet in all the right ways to balance out the richness of the meat. And I was blown away by their empanadas, which look more like hard-shell tacos, but the dough is nice and buttery and cooked to a super-satisfying crispy/crunchy texture. “My brother introduced me to this place! He came home one day with the asada fries and we've been hooked ever since. He's usually the one to pick it up on his way home from the gym. The food is really good and consistent. Big portions too.He usually gets a super burrito. It's very filling and delicious!I've tried the birria tacos which they only have on the weekends. 3 tacos and consume for $14. We shared the carne asada fries and had some leftover for dinner.I really like the asada fries but I wish it had more sour cream lol. But it's got cheese and guacamole and a ton of meat so I can't complain. I've only gone in person once and I ordered for pick up on DoorDash. “Some of the best tacos in San Jose. I say this as a person that can only mostly eat chicken though so take my review as a grain of salt if you're a red meat eater. The chicken tacos are the best. No chunky, chewy pieces of meat that you'd get at other spots. The chicken is finely chopped and flavorful. One thing to note is that the average taco in San Jose is no longer $1-2 dollars but sometimes more. But this place does have deals. For example, you can get 3 regular tacos (just meat, cilantro, and onion with salsa) for $8. They have crispy tacos and super tacos. The super tacos have avocado and pico. My favorite are the Cali tacos. It's basically a super taco with fries on top. My partner loves their asada and al pastor. My sister tied the birria and loved it. She specifically had the quesabirria tacos and loved it. Their peanut butter horchata is bomb. Sounds weird but I swear, it's good and not overwhelmingly sweet or peanut buttery. It's just right. I thought this was on Kooser and Blossom, but it's on Kooser and Camden, so just FYI. Located in a small parking lot (liquor store and a nail salon, I believe). I had to park illegally otherwise I wouldn't know where to park. They have a kiosk. You just place your order, pay, and wait for your number to be called. If you include your phone number, you will get a text when your meal is ready, too. I ordered their #1 (sliders w/ fries). I used to test myself by ordering the spiciest, but since I am older I am aware I need to play it safe, so I would not hurt myself. I ordered the medium spicy (def not spicy), so I would order HOT next time. The chicken was tender, not dry.. I loved the crinkle cut fries. Barely any coleslaw, but the thick slices of pickles gave it that crunchy tartiness texture to the dry rub! The JoJo sauce was delicious and creamy. For the first time I did not check emails. I did exactly what I wanted to do; decluttered my home, setup my Buddhist alter, and finished 2 Netflix series (The Watcher and Devil in Ohio). I am going to try and finish Midnight Mass before returning to work Tuesday. I also plan to take Friday off to hangout w/ Gavin.
