“Getting Cochinita Pabil to split for two. Pork was super tender and the pickeled red onions. The Queso with homemade corn tortillas. Our server, Able was on top of it! He spoke to the bartender to ask about making a Oaxacan Old Fashioned (not on menu). The Lunarittas are great!“
“I visited this gem on a Sunday and it was busier than I anticipated so I had to wait. Not a big deal and wasn't a long time. Once inside, I was able to order right away. I Iooove mariscos and had a hard time making a choice because everything looked so delicious. I was torn between a vasiloco and Aguachiles. I ultimately decided on a Super Chavela, Aguachiles Tricolor, and a roll of sushi. I can't remember specifically what sushi roll I got because the star of the show was definitely the aguachiles!! The Chavela was ice cold and so refreshing. It did a great job of relieving the heat from the aguachiles. The aguachiles were so fresh and flavorful. I've honestly been craving more ever since and will be back soon for that vasiloco!!!“
“Wow. I am impressed! The ceviche and aguachile were great. The duck mole was exquisite. The duck was perfectly cooked with crispy skin. The corn ribs were delightful. Cocktails were great.10/10 can't wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options on the menu“
“Love the flakyness of the empanadas, great flavours love the mole and chicken one.I feel like they could definitely toast the empanadas a bit more though so they're not too soft.Of the sweet ones, I liked the guava empanada. Not the friendliest of staff though but I'm guessing they were just tired?I'll be back to try the cochinita pibil one.“
“Arrived about 5 pm on a Friday (only customers for the meal, until about 5:30). Service was warm, friendly and welcoming. Food was esthetically appealing, delicious and arrived at an appropriate time after ordering. Chips and green salsa served. Ordered a plate with two chimichangas (shredded beef with some onions and peppers in cooking) rice, beans and small side salad, a combo with chili relleno, cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco rice and beans, a beef stew (carrot, potato, cabbage, corn, celery, bone-in beef in broth--delicious) side of rice and flour tortillas, and chicken nuggets and fries. Kid-friendly with hamburgers and chicken nuggets. Note, lemonade freshly squeezed and sugarless. We'll be back!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, but need to read through the menu, like cheese enchiladas (not sure if rice and beans are vegetarian). There is also a seafood section.Kid-friendliness: Owner was kind to our kids and chatted with them. Chicken nuggets and fries crunchy delicious.“
“This restaurant has a wide variety of authentic Mexican food. It has an indoor dining room, but it is low-end. The bathroom room is outdoors on the side of the building. The establishment is friendly. You go here for the food. They are one lare.“
“This place is really good! We tried vegetarian burritos which were delicious. The tortillas were soft and buttery and the filling was really well balanced. The staff were really kind and gave us free small tacos and lots of different salsas, which were all great. The horchata was good too. We highly recommend!“
“This is by far, my favorite "mexican" breakfast burrito. I usually don't care for beans and rice in my breakfast burrito BUT, it is really good. I have had the #5 with bacon and hot dogs, and also the chorizo breakfast burrito with hotdogs. All legit! My only mark against was the service can be a tad slow. 4 people behind me got their breakfast burritos before I got mine. That won't stop me from coming back tho.“
“By far the best Mexican food I’ve had in the Bay Area! First time trying molcajete, the portion was huge enough to feed two starving people. The ingredients were super fresh. The staff were nice too! Definitely will come back to try their margaritas and fajitas next time“
“Pros: Food was delicious and was a surprisingly hearty portion for the price ($26.05 after tax + tip). I ordered a bento box from Azuma with chicken katsu, pork gyoza and a California roll. Food came with a side salad, miso soup, and rice as well.Cons: The food did however take a long time to come out and the kiosk system is confusing as only 2 of them have all the options and the other 3 each only have one food location each. When I order food again, I’ll probably see if I can order it before walking over instead.Other notes: Lots of vegan and vegetarian options from many of the cloud kitchens which was nice to see for others.Although I took my meal to go, there was plenty of open seating despite how busy it was at noon.“
“First, no parking, second, most seating is in a covered outdoor area, 10' from the traffic on Monterey Road. 4 Stars ? In truth, I simply had the plate of fish tacos. Service was good and the Tacos, excellent. Each bite a mouth full of pleasure. I did bring home an order of fruit and shrimp which I'm still too full to face. Chips and salsa ? strange to me. Chips - Not ! 'A' store bought corn tostada - the kind in the store on the shelf in a box next o the box of pre-cooked and formed taco shells. served with a cup of warm broth. Again, strange to me. Not something I would walk across the street for. ( not worth the effort ) - The Taco on the other hand is worth special trip for. I look forward to returning to explore their huge variety of fish and seafood options. They do sell the normal variety of taqueria tacos.“
“Aquis menu is a unique and wonderful blend of Mexican, Asian and American. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. The only complaint is that the restaurant inside is very loud. I try to find a table outside or in the bar area where it is a little quieter.Vegetarian options: Wonderful delicious choices.Kid-friendliness: No special accommodations for kids but plenty of families there.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access including bathrooms.“
“Clean, festive, and incredibly delicious! I tried the calimari the first time, a quick stop, and was impressed with the clean, lovely restaurant, the service, and the incredibly perfect appetizer. With a little more time today, I decided to try the dine-in experience... even better! The chips and delicious house salsa are accompanied by a generous portion of lime... trust me, a few drops of lime unified and elevated this simple appetizer. Care was obviously taken when choosing this combination, and the chips were hearty and flavorful; possibly stone-ground? The shrimp are fresh, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with decadent flavor. Add the excellent produce and incredible sauce and you have a can't miss experience... the lowly shrimp is elevated to VIP status here, carefully prepared and paired with incredible fresh produce carefully prepared. Hands down the best tacos camerones I have ever had. Run, don't walk, to try this cozy, beloved restaurant just off Saratoga. You will thank me, I promise you!“
“Okay the other restaurants will need to learn something new from this tequila's restaurant.Food service Atmosphere. And most of all respect to a humble person.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a family thing.Wheelchair accessibility: It's all accessibility ? “
“One of the best birria tacos i've ever had in my life. The person who served me was one of the coolest and genuine person ever. He made sure he got me right. The music is bumping and the vibes are dope.Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants delicious tacos“
“I'm a SJ native and this is THE SPOT. You will not be disappointed with any plate you choose. From the moment you want in, you always greeted. The service staff is on top of it. The food is bombbbbb!! They have special from Monday-Friday. I'm here at least 2-4 times a week. From seafood to meat and the best drinks! BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN TOWN .“
“I tried almost every taco truck in San Jose today I decided to tried this family business I didn't had enough money but thank God the person took my order was very generous and the cook women was very warm welcome person I order 3 tacos de carnitas and 3 de pollo and a side order of beans and rice the food was warm delicious I told the cook women I will be back for the tacos de chicharones God bless you all ???“
“Being from Hawaii, we aren't known for our Mexican food so when we come to California (any part of California), we are usually on the hunt for some. We found this amazing food truck in a gas station parking lot and it had the most amazing tacos we've ever had! We ordered 3 tacos, each with a different meat. The staff was friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. The tortillas were fresh and soft, the fillings were yummy, and the salsas were absolutely delicious! I'm so glad we came across them and hope to be able to sample more from them one day!!! We highly recommend that everyone try them out!“
“This has to be one of the best Mexican spots I've been to in the Bay Area. A small place, but a good amount of seating. I had the Super Quesabirria Tacos and a regular Michelada. I was with some friends and didn't speak to them once while I was eating this. There's something about dipping your food in a soup bath to ignite a higher form of a flavor explosion. I highly recommend this place and I'm glad I'm only 5 minutes away because this is my new spot for Mexican food.“
“Very very good food. I had regular taco with carne asada, el jefe taco with pastor, and a side of rice. Everything tasted great. Would definitely recommend the el jefe taco. That was amazing and I will be returning in the future to get that and try other items as well.“
“After lunch in the Lion Plaza, we made our way to Cunningham Street for some homemade churros! When we arrived, we noticed the garage door was closed even though Yelp hours indicated that they were open. No fear though, I gave them a quick rang and was informed that they'd be open at 2pm (I called at 1:55pm). Perfect. We waited until they opened and were the first ones. We chopped it up with the owners and learned that they've been in business since 1999! They also told us that in the summers, the line gets so long it wraps around the block. For $7 we got a nice bag of fresh and lightly coated churros was were piling hawwwttt! They were crunchy and so delicious, but if you wait just a little bit longer the inside of the churro also has a mochi like chewy texture which is a win in my book. Definitely stop by!“
“My friend recommended we meet at Casa Villa for a meal and we both left satisfied! There are countless Mexican restaurants throughout San Jose but we came since the restaurant offered vegetarian and vegan options. It's an unassuming, humble, and no-frills establishment. The restaurant is colorfully decorated and quite spacious and the service was good but a bit distant. There's indoor and outdoor seating available--we chose the former. We enjoyed our plant-based food! We both ordered their Vegan Chile Relleno. I've never tried a Chille Relleno prior because of the meat and cheese but found their version to be sufficient. It was packed with various vegetables, the portion was reasonable, and the tortillas were appreciated. I just wish it had a bit more seasoning or flavor to it. I also got a Horchata to drink which was creamy and delicious. They serve plenty of food from appetizers, entrees, drinks, and a happy hour menu!Casa Villa is a great Mexican cuisine option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in Willow Glen. The restaurant is off Willow Street with a free lot in front. The establishment is small on the outside but offers options for all in the area.“
“Real close to freeway on ramp great traditional Mexican food restaurant the food and drinks was as close to home cooked as it could be it was outstanding I would have took more pictures but my battery on my phone died I I would recommend eating lunch or a quick snack “
“People are great everytime, food is awesome everytime. They are busy so you’ll be at your table for a bit, but the wait for the food is worth it! Recommend the Birria Super Burrito, the Breakfast skillet, crispy tacos, I can go on…The yellow/orange sauce is a bit spicy for non-spice people but so freakin good!!!“
“We ordered a mulita with pastor, 3 tacos (asada, pastor, and salmon!), two gorditas with asada, and a torta with picadillo. The tortillas and gorditas were made in front of us while the rest of the food cooked, and everything was prepared quickly. Everything was delicious, but the biggest surprise was the salmon taco which isn't offered anywhere else. A nice piece of grilled salmon served with a tangy coleslaw.Highly recommend this place.“
“Delicious and savory food, one item that stood out to me was their elote wich was fried, I never tried it like that before and it was so good. Kind of disappointed when I ordered the churros and at the picture they present an ice cream and it didn't come with it, when I called the server to ask for it he said they didn't even had the ice cream, and it was just for the pic, so keep that in mind ?Staff is okay, place is a little loud but it's understandable for a bar“
“Wonderful and modern food truck. Was walking around the city looking for a healthy meal. I approached Carlos and asked for his help to make me something healthy and clean. He prepared me a phenomenal Colombian dish with chicken. Highly recommend stopping by“
“Where do I start???? I got some tamales and a super carnitas burrito. The two ladies inside were also super nice and was able to get my food at a quick time to go back to work. Now down to the bottom line, the food was incredible. Sauces were Devine. There's a lot of food trucks that stop by and come and go but this one is superb! Highly recommend on any given day! Mucho gracias“
“Haven't tried many things on the menu but I love my go to order very much it's the lemon chicken bowl with no grapes or cranberries and instead of grilled chicken add crispy chicken I absolutely love it and it fills me up just right and I never feel guilty after to me I don't really count it as Mexican but still very good“
“Great food tacos really good both crispy and regular are loaded. I can't seem to get there early enough for their menudo, both times I have gone there specifically for that they were out. I am not done trying, must be mas fino, e con saber.“
“Five stars for the EL Chore was a banger! I brought my mom out for some grub and on the way back from walking we found this place on Hillsdale and Paul Moore Park. This spot is popular so arrive early because the line can get long with a wait to match. hahaha. I got an incredibly large carne asada deluxe quesadilla, they served it with three huge parts and they add grilled onions with it. Suffice to say that I will go back to this joint to order more food. Go!Enso forever!Birria bread bowl.Mulita.Churros. Birria spring rolls."Art is like therapy; what comes up is what comes up. It may be dark, but that's what comes up. You may want to keep some of it in a drawer... but never judge it." ― Nick Bantock“
“Do not order online. You will not receive an itemized receipt, or an email confirmation, and you will be charged $2 for the "convenience" of ordering online, which is actually more convenient for the vendor.I ordered four tacos and did not get even a few chips with it, and had to practically beg for enough salsa for the tacos. And the tip jar was pushed into my face before I even saw the food. Incredibly rude.“
“I ordered takeout during my lunch break the burrito was super good and the salsa was not spicy which I love. The restaurant was full the parking was also full but I was able to find a spot right away also they had great service everyone was very friendly ☺️“
“Can’t go wrong with Aqui. Their menu is always being tweaked but they seem to keep what’s most popular for a long time. Of course their Swirl margarita drinks are absolutely fabulous, but they also make plenty of other great drinks as well.“
“Found it through Google search and picked based on ratings and was not disappointed. Casual lunch place.Vegetarian options: Grilled veggies and tofu fajitas is what I had. Good portion sizes and tasty. It was served with rice, black beans and guacamole.“
“This is the best place to order and buy fresh masa!! We have a family tradition, every Christmas we make a massive amount of tamales. This is the ONLY place I every buy my masa, it's warm, flavorful and ready to spread on corn husks. Stop buying the grocery store masa, and try this place! You'll love it!“
“This was a second chance for this cute little restaurant. I was craving a chili relleno and because the size varies from restaurant to restaurant- I asked for two. Holy Moly! These were huge AND delicious. Everything about the meal was great. The chips are house made and the salsa is just perfect - not too spicy and plenty of flavor. The beans- just like grandma made them! Arroz was a little 'wet' for me - I like my rice a little more dry but it did have a good flavor. The star of the show was the relleno of course. The batter, the cheese, the chili - so so good!!Well done!!“
“If you're already reading this, just go ahead and eat here! Giant portions, low prices, and the best tasting wet burrito with lengua I have ever had! And I've countless lengua and burritos. The lengua was PERFECT!!! And the service was OUTSTANDING!!! Go here. Put down your phone and have the best Mexican food experience you've ever had.“
“Good tacos, salsa, love their Palomas with fresh orange and lemon pieces. VERY tasty tortilla soup. Also Love there shrimp quesadillas, and there Cochinita Pibil tacos to me they are excellent. Chorizo buger is good too ,environment is loud in the evening.“
“Great tasting tacos, enchiladas, burritos - and excellent value. Pastor, carne asada, camarones, tripas-yes, yes, yes, yes! Good, fast, friendly service. Parking can be tricky at Chevron, so park at McD's. They're only open until 5pm, so get your taco fix early.“
“This place is fantastic, I've never had a less than excellent experience with their food, drinks and pan dolce. They put a lot of effort into the quality of their food, and it shows. I recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried it yet, because you will not be disappointed“
“The quesabirria are huge and delicious the homemade tortillas def make that special extra yum factor and I hadn't had tejuino that actually tasted right in 20+ years I wish it had just a smidge less salt but still so good. Coming back for sureParking: We came at 7ish pm and there was plenty of street parking“
“This is my favorite burrito place hands down! I make it a point to tell all my friends and family about this place! I'm a person that never writes a review unless the business is absolutely phenomenal and go above and beyond! This is one of those places. The staff is excellent!! It's a convenient location off of 280 or 87 freeway and has a drive thru if you are in a hurry. I am absolutely in love with the asada and red chicken but no matter what you get burritos tacos are plates, this food is the best!!“
“In search of the best super steak burrito in my area. When I went, there was a lot of construction being done on the street.Food took some time to come out. Didn't see much guac inside of the burrito. Overall, flavors were good. I was given 3 containers for salsa after I ordered.Parking lot in the back. Lots of seating inside.“
“pozole: really comforting. pork was extremely tender and broth was flavorful. the cabbage, radish, and lime garnishes were freshtacos: so yummy! definitely order more than 2. asada was soo well seasoned and the pollo was tender. and for such a great price.“
“Nice atmosphere and great service with friendly staff. Our only issue is with the prices. Our lunch which consisted of 5 small tacos, 2 house margaritas and dessert came to around $100.00. In Santa Fe, New Mexico (USA) which is an expensive tourist destination, a similar lunch with a lot more food and a great margarita costs us about $60.00. There were very few Mexicans dining there either as it is apparently targeting rich gringos.“
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I recently dined at Tostada's Mexican Restaurant and had an amazing experience. The service was exceptional - the staff was very attentive and friendly, making sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. And the food was extremely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors and prepared with care. I highly recommend Tostada's for a fantastic dining experience.“
“We were just passing through and didn't know what to eat. We looked at the trailer hoping it would satisfy us. And let me tell you, it was much more than satisfactory. My husband loved it, memories of his mother's cooking came to mind. Excellent “
“Great food & resonable prices for lical highschool and college students. Everything is made in-house, and it shows. The menu offers different proteins for your order, so that's cool.Their boba selections are wonderful, too. I just wish they offered a damn cup of drip COFFEE.Either way, please support this local business; they're super mindful and nice... in spades! ♠️Wheelchair accessibility: YES“
“Great ambience, clean and modern. All the food was amazing, we had the chile relleno and chicken mole enchilada and both were delicious. There's desserts off the menu, we had the tres leches which is made to look like a potted plant and the "soil" is the dessert. Must go!“
