“I’ve been a diehard loyalist to the Arts District Pizzanista, and it’s still so odd to me that they opened one in sleepy San Marino, but no complaints from me! The slices are the same taste and quality as their AD counterpart, and the vibe is as chill as the area that it’s in. It’s a must for a casual lunch if you’re in the area.“

“The pizza was to die for — we had the margarita pizza — thin crust and sauce delicious. We had the artichoke burrata appetizer which was delicious too. The area where the restaurant is located is very cool. Enjoyable all the way around.“

“We always love visiting Propaganda and this time was no different. The 4 Formaggi & Funghi is my new favorite pizza. This time we tried the boozy pandoro dessert and even 5 days later I'm still thinking of it. Can't wait to go back!“

“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere. However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“

“A very pretty friend and I decided to try Bestia on a Thursday at 5pm. After arriving and entering an outdoor patio that leads into the indoor seating, we couldn't help notice the bright blue wall, nicely trimmed tree, outdoor string lights all coming together to make a quiet eating experience but my pretty woman friend wanted us to experience the inside. Inside was livelier, more people, closely positioned tables, and an open kitchen facing the eating area. Cool modern music that's not too loud. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the coconut red chili oil scallops garnished with herbs and a slice of strawberry. I was pleased with the combination of flavors. Then we shared the bone marrow pasta, which was packed with savory flavors and interesting soft textures. It was delicious. Of course, we had to try the herb ceasar salad everyone raves about when talking about Bestia, and the hype is all true. We then shared a marguarita pizza and let me say this, despite the overly salted tomato sauce, the napolitano style crust elevated the rest of the pizza ingredients. I had old sunglasses: a tequila blanco cocktail with sweet citrus flavors all well balanced, I couldn't just have 1. My pretty friend had unsweetened ice tea, which was refreshing with a subtle fruit flavor. For dessert, we shared the chocolate dessert with a crispy sweet and salty crust that complimented the rich thick chocolate mouse that was just the right amount of sweet. It's the kind of place you take an attractive friend you really, really like. Recommend you plan at least a couple of weeks ahead to get a table because this place has a big following.“

“As a Midwesterner who frequents Chicago style pizza joints, I was skeptical of this place at first, which was a huge mistake making that assumption! Everything about this place is phenomenal! The Lil Red Corvette was amazing, and I cannot wait to return! I hope these pizzas can be eventually shipped across the country, because that's how much I enjoyed my visit to your restaurant. Best wishes for continued success!!!“

“Nothing but positive things to say. Meat is fresh and great quality, portions are large, owner is very friendly and involved. The place is super clean and well kept. Highly recommend the Pletch, Sharwarma Wraps, and chicken/beef, lamb plates - can’t wait to try the rest of the menu as they also have pastas, burgers, and pizzas. They also serve beer & wine! You guys have a customer for life. Thank you for your hospitality and welcome to our neighborhood!“

“Honestly, came here for the 4.9 rating on Google and the place honestly didn’t disappoint! David is super duper friendly, helped us with some questions and had a smile througout. That’s what i guess good customer service is. They have pizza slices but we ordered a small pesto chicken pizza and it is the BEST i have had till date. The pesto had a nice tangy flavor to it, chicken was cooked to perfection and the crust had just that perfect crunch! This place is a MUST visit. Thank me later :)“

“Best and most authentic (I believe) Italian food I’ve had in a while! We followed all of the owner’s, Fabrizio’s (from Napoli), recommendations.Appetizer: started with the focaccia board, which included honey, caramelized pears, prosciutto, some other meat, and of course focaccia. It was the most unique appetizer I’ve had and so delicious!Main dish: we had salmone al limone, which had vegetables and mashed potatoes on the side. With the salmon cooked medium and the white wine sauce with lemon juice, it was all so delightful and quite possibly the best tasting salmon I have ever had.Pasta: we had genovese sauce (beef shoulder stewed with minced onions, basil, etc. stewed for 48 hours) with fresh pappardelle pasta. Very rich and delicious!Dessert: we finished with an affogato and was offered to try some dessert wine, Italian moscato with mint leaves on top. The espresso was so flavorful. On top of the food, service was great with Fabrizio, Claude the waiter, and a third waiter. All staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We chose sit outside because it was actually quieter and we wanted the fresh air. They were nice enough to ask if we wanted the heater turned on. Everything was perfect - food, staff, and ambience. We have found our new favorite local Italian restaurant!“

“This place was amazing. We came it with a group of 10, and we got set up with a table right away. They got our orders quickly, and then appetizers and food came out just as quick. However, the food was probably the best Korean fried chicken I have had in a long time. The sauce flavors were delicious, chicken was crunchy. Definitely have to try Korean BBQ , Lemon Pepper (dry), and the Sweet Chili Wings. Even the Bulgogi Pizza was great. Great little hole in the wall spot. Will have to come backWheelchair accessibility: It's a dive in location off the strip of the downtown location. Entrance is level with sidewalk, so wheelchair can roll right it, and there are a couple tables that can be set up with wheelchair seating. I can not vouch for the restroom as I did not check.“
“This is one of my favorite pizza places now. The photo gallery in their website totally does the pizza justice. It is as good as it photographs! I never had Detroit-style pizza. I don't take part in the Great Pizza Debate with regional styles vying for Best Pizza Ever. Pizza is either good or it's average. The flavors and textures between cheese, crust and sauce are either balanced and each component delicious, or the magic just doesn't happen. Whenever I try thick, rectangular pizza slices I'm always disappointed in either sauce, cheese, or crust. I always hoped that pizza would taste like these slices. This pizza is the paradigm of what a thick square slice of pizza should be-- a sauce that is deliciously balanced between sweet, tangy, and savory-- the perfect intermediary between cheese and carbs. Speaking of carbs, a nice thick crust, just doughy enough to feel your teeth sink into, but with the edges perfectly carmelized to support the slice as it makes its way to your pizza pie-hole. The cheese was-- well, cheese, but cheese that goes all the way to the edge of the crust, caramelized to a deep golden brown against the pie pan. On this maiden visit, we tried both the Margherita and the Biggio. The Biggio is their version of a meat lover's pizza-- pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon. The ham and bacon, however, lent a smoky flavor -- almost too barbecue-ish -- for a non-bbq pizza. I know this is Detroit pizza but it was almost a little too un-Italian to us. The Margherita pizza, on the other hand, was crave-worthy. The cheese, sauce, and crust converged into a balance of flavor -- sweet, savory, and tangy, as well as texture -- doughy, crispy, the cheesy stretchiness, the caramelized edges.... I thought this slice was pizza, pure and simple, delicious in its simplicity. Even the tomato slices seemed to be cut the right thickness. I got ours to-go and tried calling ahead-- several times. No go, so I had to order when I got there. The pizzaria (suite #203) lives on the second floor of a two story mini-mall, overlooking the street-side dining lanes on Colorado. The parking lot is also on the second floor which is convenient, the entrance of which is on Mentor, just south of Colorado. Our order took 20 minutes to prepare-- well worth the wait. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Their Caesar was a mix of iceberg and romaine and was fine. Just know that their Caesar salads are tossed-- a dealbreaker for some if you're not into lifeless salads. Just remember this if you're ordering to-go and have to drive a ways before digging in. There is no soda fountain in the restaurant. Beverages are canned. After trying their pizza I appreciate this. I also liked how their menu is simple-- there are just two salads offered and most importantly their pizza, but really, their pizza is all you'll really need. Detroit or otherwise, it's just really good pizza.“

“Those of us who like pizza... have to visit and try these unique delicacies. They have 25 pizzas on the menu. We have 6, we are missing 19. The place is small. They don't sell beers but it's worth it. 2 locations passage to and San Fernando.“

“While looking for a nearby pizza spot, Alitalia Pizzeria came up on our Yelp search. Their Pizza By the Slice option was very appealing so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. The location itself was on the small side. A bench and a few chairs for waiting but not a table to sit down to eat. Unfortunately when we got here they said the Pizza by the Slice option was only available until 4pm. That's fine but I wish they depicted it better on the menu. Had we known that wasn't an option in the evening, we would have called in our order instead of waiting around for a pizza to get made from scratch. I think we already had our stomachs set on the pepperoni so we decided to get their medium Pepperoni Pizza ($16.45). Then for the waiting that could have been avoided. It felt like forever. The one nice thing is they let you grab as much parmesan cheese and chili flakes as you want. The interesting thing is that their sign said they close at 8pm on Sundays but they closed up as soon as we left slightly after 7pm. In retrospect we were contemplating what else we should have gotten or even their half and half option. But not having the pizza by the slice thing and more labelling of such really threw me off. Anyways as to the pizza, my boyfriend thought the crust could have been thinner. I felt like it was oily. I was blotching the pizza like teenage oily acne skin. We both felt like we might be back for the pizza by the slice deal but we aren't in a hurry to try their full pizzas. The cost is high and the satisfaction isn't all the way there.“

“Typically love outdoor dining but we made dinner reservations a week in advance and arrived on time, and we were still placed outside in the tent even asking for an indoor seat. There were at least 4/5 tables empty that we could see that could seat our party of 5 but we were denied those seats and said we would have to wait 45min for those tables. Since we had little kids and we're celebrating a birthday, we didn't want to take too long. So we were stuck outside in the rain and cold (they had space heaters but unfortunately our table was not under one so we ate in our heavy coats/jackets) After dinner we skipped the desserts bc we were too cold and uncomfortable to stay around any longer.“

“Got some wings, salad, and pizza from here (half and half). Me and my wife split a meat lovers and supreme and it was pretty damn good. The corners were nice and crispy, the salad was big and had alot of toppings, and the wings were fire. Definitely enough for a family of four but we just kept for leftovers. I would return if I was in the area.“

“It's hard to find a good pizza place—I mean, one that knocks it out of the park. Rios used to be my jam, but then it took a massive nosedive. Then came The Original Pizza Presto, which has blown any other pizza joint out of the water. The pizza is great, the crust is just right, and the toppings are fresh. That's the one thing that massively stands out. Yes, the freshness of the toppings matters. If you're going to invest your hard-earned bucks, I would rather spend them here. The staff is fantastic, and they continue to deliver top-notch service. Missing out on Presto is a huge disservice. This is the spot for pizza. Yes, they have more on the menu. “Upon seeing the monstrous wood fired oven, you know you are in for a serious pizza. We had proscuito and calebrese on one pizza we ordered. Tremendous. Beautiful color, chew and char on a crust that proofs for 36 hours. Thin enough to fold, but sturdy enough to hold up the toppings. So much flavor comes through from the fire and smoke of the oven. You can tell the dude man who was running the front of the house has serious love for the place. Very sincere, very authentic. This is not a whatever pizza joint. Its one of those restaraunts that is more than the sum of its parts. This place has vision and heart and you see it, feel it and taste it.“

“The pizza and fries are soo good! And service as well, we wandered in close to closing last night (had an event nearby) not knowing they closed at 8, but we still felt welcomed and the younger blonde guy at register did an excellent job. We had a Hawaiian type pizza with dried pineapple, which sounds weird but was SO good! And fries with their garlic sauce, I'd go back for those two items for sure. We also had a supreme pizza that was delicious as well. Also, tried their freshly made lime guava lemonade, we loved it. Wish we lived closer, would be there more often!“

“The food is innovative and very tasty. The veggie pizza is the best I've ever had and the Ranch dip for the crust is amazing. And the miso marinated chicken nuggets are incredibly good. And the celery side salad dressed with blue cheese. And the sautéed eggplant side. Everything really... The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality of the food. And it's ready pretty quickly, which is nice. Another big plus is the beautiful original art on the walls by a number of highly talented younger artists. Yes! Make original art a part of your daily life and support the artists who make it. Also, the counter people are always friendly and welcoming and they often bring your order out to you. I doubt that's in their job description, but it's a nice touch. It's basically a takeout operation - a small space with no tables inside - but there are benches and milk crates on the sidewalk for an al fresco meal and a small stand-up counter you can eat at. And Kumquat, a few doors down, is an EXCELLENt coffee bar, and there's on OG liquor store that has a great selection of beers and if you want to go that route. Of course, you can always get your food packaged to go, but it's all so tasty I always eat it there as soon as I get it.“

“Ordered Large size pizza in 2-different flavors: Meat Lovers & Supreme. Actually it’s not much of diff in b-tween, except bell peppers, onions n mushroom, olives in Supreme. I prefer the Supreme w/ some moist juicy tasty bites from the veggies.Overall the topping is fresh which bring out a good flavor to it. Pizza dough itself is a bit too soft more like a bread, as I prefer a little more chewy texture. It’s 3.8.This is my very 1st time trying out based on my pizza searching when this local hole n wall spot pup up w/ a high rating score. It doesn’t even look like this business is open, as all the windows are closed, even it’s hard to find the entrance when there’s no Open sign.Cashier guy is not so friendly nor attentive. “It was my first time coming here, and I had the 12" pizza with pepperoni. The crust was my favorite part. It was crunchy and soft at the same time. The cheese was a bit too chewy for my taste. But I really enjoyed it as a whole. I'd say it's a bit pricey, but compared to other pizza places, it's worth it and fresh. My boyfriend reay likes the Fettuccine Alfredo, it's his favorite.
