“We had a very long tiring trip through the mountains just to get to our lodge in Lucia because we had to avoid the landslide closure on Hwy 1. It was exhausting driving, then 2 hours at the Hearst Castle where you aren’t allowed to eat or drink anything. .. no coffee anywhere on our route… just to find out the castle cafe was closed when we got back from the tour. I said all that to say this.. The young man behind the counter was closing and the look on my face must have spoke to him because he quickly told me he would make us food and me an Americana.. first his kindness brought tears to my tired eyes and secondly that coffee was THE BEST I’ve had. The hot sandwiches and fresh salad were delicious and the portions were large. We took half of it back up the lodge to eat later. This one decision by him to accommodate me and my grandsons completely turned this stressful day into a much better one. The cafe and store were clean, bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. The staff were friendly and helpful and the area around the cafe and store is peaceful and attractive. Plenty of parking and the walkways were easy to navigate. I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to visiting again.”

“Stopped at Brydge for a late lunch when exploring the Central Coast. It’s a converted home off the main street of Cambira. It has cozy atmosphere & lovely back patio. The petrale sole appetizer was magical. The waygu burger was perfect.”

“Breaking down the stars on this one! 5 stars - Food was excellent. kudos to the chef. 4 stars - Service very good...kudos for the bus boy who delivered napkins on his own after I sneezed, but had not asked for them. Waiter was pleasant and fairly attentive, but could use instruction on what is called suggestive selling. He definitely offered desserts, which we were going to turn down regardless, but suggestive selling a little different. (just a suggestion) My 1 star downgrade. 1 star - Neither my wife nor I drink alcohol. I ordered a Pomegranate lemonade, my wife simply water. I can "somewhat" understand 1 refill only on most of the non-alcoholic beverages! My particular beverage was not allowed a refill however. With normal size restaurant beverage glasses that is usually enough for most people per meal anyways! And along with the type of restaurant, I can understand having select beverages in keeping with the menu and customer target. But I DO NOT understand the kid size glass it came in...and at a fairly high price for a non-alcoholic beverage as well to along with no refill at all! At that price, I really was not encouraged to refill it, even once. It is as the saying goes "Penny wise but pound foolish!" If you do not drink wine or beer, but non-alcoholic drinks, and are stretching the budget a little to enjoy a better restaurant, might want to do what my wife did, a glass of water.”

“Small little shop with great desserts ? love to stop by on my way to San Simeon or Piedras blancas to get my favorite rocky road ice cream. Love supporting small local mom and pop shops that make Cambria a beautiful destination.”

“Well worth lining up to get in. Long line but we just missed out on first serving. We waited at the bar tables had a wine and played trivial pursuit for about an hour. Food was top class, just had oysters as was our first trip here. Coming from Australia with top class oysters all over our coasts these East Coast and Pacific oysters were excellent. Looking forward to coming back again.”

“We stumbled across Moonstone while visiting Cambria over a year ago, and it is by far our favorite winery! We have never experienced another winery where we like everything they have to offer. If you go and Andy is there, you’re in for a treat. He elevated our wine tasting experience, and we are gladly members of their wine club and get to visit about 4 times a year. Thank you Andy, and looking forward to seeing you soon!”

“The restaurant itself is a pretty basic setup even a little rough but you're across from the ocean watching the sunset it's a delight. Simple menu and good wines.”

“We love this place! The staff is so friendly, the food is great, and the bakery is awesome! My husband loves the chicken fried steak but I highly recommend either the avacado toast or the roasted vegetables with polenta. Don't leave without trying the olallieberry cream puff, yum!”

They offer a decent collection of local craft beer, and also some wine, cider and cocktails for those who accompany the beer lovers.

They also stash some XX, coors, and modelo for those who accidentally made it to the venue taking a wrong turn.

“This place had cuisine so remarkable I cried. As I have been to France many times and am quite a cook myself, this restaurant was a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Cambria, CA. I have had challenges finding authentic French affair anywhere outside of La France. This place... gracious me... just reminded me of tastes you can typically only find in Europe. The foods were fresh and bold. Full of flavour, with plenty of butter in the expected fashion! My scallops were a mesmerizing start to my meal. Fresh. Perfectly seared. Mildly 'sweet' with subtle hints of sage and the salty sea. I really just wanted an entire bowl of the scallops alone. I would have been blessed. I did not have to force myself to choose the warm baby spinach salad. Baby greens with a bright vinaigrette, toasted pecans and dried cranberry. Fresh mozzarella slices. Micro-thin red onion. Just a wonderful way to clean the palate before main course. This establishment is known for its filet mignon, though, I had filet the previous evening. I decided upon the chicken breast stuffed with brie, among other savory offerings. The thin skin was delicately crisp. The flesh... fork-tender. The filling just splendid and truly, on-point. Service was remarkable with smiles and friendly staff all around. If I could go there every day, I certainly would. I was delighted beyond expectation.

Kid-friendliness: I am certain they are kid-friendly, though, I was grateful no children were present.”

“After over 20 years of visiting, we stumbled on Lillys! What a great place for breakfast! Such a relaxed atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. We had the ham and cheese quiche today. Light and delicious! The staff there are great. We felt welcome as soon as we walked in. I could've just hung out there for hours. Absolutely loved the patio. Plenty of seating. We look forward to our next visit there (tomorrow morning!) 😊”

“I always look forward to a meal at this homey place. My friend from his Cambrian days, John Brannon, recommended the hamburgers, and even though I was primed for breakfast I had the Mushroom Burger. Delicious, and the friendly waitress volunteered that I could order onion rings instead of fries at no additional charge. It was a great choice!”
