“Had dinner here last night with my girlfriend and parents. The food and wine were all amazing. We had pizza's, a couple different pastas, Scottish salmon and desserts. The owner, Danielli sat and talked with us. He is an amazing guy who moved here from Italy in the 90's and grew a family with his wife who he met locally. It seems that he knows everyone in the entire Santa Ynez valley and everybody loves him because literally every single person/group that left the restaurant came and talked with him and he introduced us to everybody. All around amazing experience and I highly recommend going here!“

“The best Mexican food in the area with great ambiance! I love coming here when we're visiting because the food and service are consistently on point. This evening we had an a wonderful waiter with a beard. I didn't catch his name but we received great service from him at our small table for two by the fireplace. The restaurant does close early (8pm on Fridays) for some of us LA folks who are used to eating dinner much later on; however, I do love an early dinner so the closing time didn't bother us. We had the guacamole and the key lime pie for dessert - both were good. I also appreciated that they took down our phone number so we could step outside the restaurant while we waited. Street parking is very easy on the main road. They are a walk-in only restaurant, so do be prepared for a wait (especially if it's rainy weather).“

“I had the pulled pork and my husband had the pastrami. The sandwiches were pretty good but pricey. We had sides of potato salad and spicy slaw and they were both delicious. There is only outdoor seating so bring a jacket if it's cold out. We'd go back and give it another chance but it wasn't a stand out. 3.5 stars.“

“Was a fabulous experience. The wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We made reservations, and arrived on time and were seated immediately. We realized, reservations weren't necessary on a Wednesday but I wasn't gonna chance it. The service was top notch and the food was impeccable. The dress code says “Business Casual” however, being in a casino there were people there in shorts and tee shirts. I don't think they really care about the dress code. They did read the reservation from Open table and we got a dessert that said “Happy Anniversary “. That was a nice finishing touch. Overall, a really nice time and really good dinner.“

“This is like the only authentic coffee shop in Solvang -- there's coffee served at brunch spots, there's coffee served at the many Danish bakeries, but I think there's only one quintessential coffeehouse in the area. The menu on the wall is limited and doesn't cover all the drinks and there's a printed menu by the cashier (I didn't know about this on first visit). Tried the cortado and the milk lattes, those are okay. Tried the Turmeric Super Latte today and that was a tasty drink with a nice spice kick to it.“

“This place is amazing! My husband and I chose to eat here before we got into town. It did not disappoint. I got the salmon and eggs benedict, and I was in love, the hollandaise sauce paired well with the tater tots, too. My husband got the flakey toast, and he really enjoyed them. We ordered a Monte Cristo to try it out for the first time, and it was pretty good, too. We had a great breakfast before heading home.“

“Cute bakery and the name says it all! So many Danish baked goods sold here among the more familiar fair. They also had spectacular cookie houses. I'd call them gingerbread houses but not sure if they're all made out of gingerbread. It's a tiny bakery and a tight squeeze making your way through but manageable and worth it. They also have gifts and trinkets. Staff is sweet and helpful. Would definitely recommend.“

“We've been going here more than 10 years and has been a go to favorite of ours whenever we're in Los Olivos. Love that they've expanded and has outdoor seating available. We prefer to sit by the bar though. The staff is friendly, attentive and very welcoming. The indoor cafe has a cozy but lively vibe. We ordered their beer on tap, Liquid Gravity Brewing Co.- Orange Cream Machine and BarrelHouse West Coast IPA , both outstanding! Also had their Ahi Tostada with avocado and wasabi hash, definitely a shareable plate, really fresh and is a new favorite! Also one of our go to orders, is their focaccia and dipping oil, still as good and haven't changed through the years! Make sure to stop by this place! There are newer places that have opened up around the corner but the Los Olivos Wine Merchant and Cafe is still the best! And by the way did I mention they have an awesome selection of wines? “This place is worth the hype and worth the wait. Some of the best waffles I've ever had. Look, the waffles and strawberries made such a purely sweet combo alone that I didn't need the whip cream or syrup at all. The waffle itself is super moist and soft. We found this place and it looks like a whole in the wall but honestly was pretty decent. They have a lot for room. The food was AMAZING. We got the ranchero burger, a Cobb salad, and the ravioli with all 3 sauce choices and just decide to share amongst the 3 of us. It was so good the flavor and everything was so good. But let's talk about the service. Our server very much gave off the vibes like head rushing to order he came by probably about 3 times in like 8 minutes and we were trying to decide what to eat. Next there must have been a server off the clock eating at the restaurant before her shift, I have nothing against as I used to work at a restaurant and did that because it was convenient for me, but she was not only distracting servers from their tables but openly feeding her friends while they were working and it was obvious that their tables needed to be served but they didn't care. It wasn't until the manager walked out and said something did they finally get to work in which the employee who came to eat went behind the counter to clock in. The host were amazing and super nice. Over all it was really good and amazing and we would come here again“

“Stopped by for a bite - located conveniently off the 101 and across the street from Anderson's Split pea this cute diner style restaurant has inside seating only- the dining room is decorated with vintage kitchen items from the 1950s and beyond. The wait staff is warm, kind and attentive. We had the club sandwich. It was huge! It comes with fries but I requested a side salad substitute and it was great- homemade croutons, veggies and the salad dressing tasted very fresh. The club sandwich was so huge I took half of it home. It is made the way I like it with lettuce inside each layer of sandwich. Hubby had French Toast made with cinnamon swirl bread. It was delicious and hubby wolfed it down. The portion was also large- maybe 3-4 slices of bread cut in half, dipped in egg, grilled and served hot. Prices were about $15-$20 Per person and parking was easy and plenitful. Only open for breakfast and lunch- they close at 2 PM so plan accordingly. Great place.“

“We played bocce tonight and then went for dinner and drinks in the restaurant. It was a gorgeous night and the patio was very busy! We had a large group which I understand can be more difficult. Eric was AMAZING in getting us sat. He was running all over the place wearing many hats. With how busy he was, he still made us feel seen. He took our order and brought as chips, salsa, fries, and onion rings as an apology. He worked his butt off tonight and it was very apparent how passionate he is about his job and how much he cares about the guest experience. Overall, although we had to wait a bit longer than we would have liked, he personally, along with the rest of the very friendly staff, made sure that we were satisfied and had a fantastic evening!“

We had to send the enchilada platter back since the entire plate was cold even after they reheated it. However, the staff questioned why we didn’t eat it and offered us full refund for the food. As the rain came down more, more people started to come in and all areas of the restaurant had people in them and she never missed a beat. She was alone in the front and there was the cook in the back and together they helped everyone in a timely manner. “My first time having the AJ Spurs experience. My partner had a steak craving, and I thought, this place probably has something random I would enjoy (not into big pieces of beef or pork, ribs, etc.). We were early for dinner, got seated at a nice large booth, way nicer than we needed. Classic country on the sound system, was cranking out Johnny Cash and the like. In my opinion, the good stuff. Decorations were old style western, rustic, lots of taxidermy animals. Husband got his drink, he was happy with the pour. I asked about the fried chicken sandwich and the waitress, well, her expression was pretty skeptical. I asked her what she would recommend and she suggested the 6 ounce filet mignon (also the shrimp). He got the sirloin. The courses then proceeded to arrive: Beef vegetable soup, house made beans and salsa. Then a nice green salad with a delicious avocado dressing for me, ranch for him. The highlight of this meal was the filet mignon. It was absolutely tender and every bite was delicious. He liked the sirloin, but when I gave him a taste of mine, he agreed it was perfect. The plate came with a delicious rice pilaf, a nice thick piece of garlic toast, and a separate pan of thin sliced pan fried potatoes. We hadn't had lunch and were working outside all day and he ate everything but the potatoes. I demolished the steak and bread and had a few bites of the other things. Most of our conversation was about the music... we played Name That Tune (and artist) the whole time. Not our typical genre but we remembered almost everything they played. That was super fun! Hadn't heard some of that stuff in years! Conway Twitty, I haven't forgotten you! He declined the dessert and I had the Amaretto. Really nice finish to the meal and a perfect amount. Brought home the rice and potatoes, should have grabbed the beans as the waitress suggested but I thought I wasn't ever going to be hungry again. (Wrong, I ate the rice last night AND this lunchtime.) I hope that filet is still perfect next time. Ask for medium rare. Go in before it gets too busy. Take home the extras. Don't sweat the small stuff. Lots of places these days charge too much for each tiny, fussy, overly curated course. This place gives you piles of good food for one decent price.“
